People have a way with words, don’t they?
Take “useless” as an example.
“Use-less”. Without use. Without purpose.
Useless.
That’s exactly how I’m feeling right now.
I failed.
I’ve been failing since before the Beginning.
I failed as an Angel. I failed as a Demon.
I failed at what was really important when it mattered the most.
And now I lost the only person I ever dared to care about.
My partner. My friend. My love.
Nothing makes sense anymore.
Not since he left me.
Not since Heaven took him away from me. Just like it has been doing my entire existence.
Always taking what I love the most.
Maybe I should stop trying.
Maybe I should just leave it like that.
Maybe I should try to keep him there instead. Far away from me.
Then, hopefully, maybe I would fail at that too.

i was tagged two weeks ago by my beloved @petricorah for a wip game!! rules: share a few lines or a snippet that sums up the main relationship(s) in your wip. i've seen this go around a bunch so idk who hasnt done it yet but! feel free to do it if you want to <3
here's yet another snippet from my current divorced zukka wip
“Pretty clouds,” Zuko finally says.
Sokka can’t hold back the snort of surprised laughter. “Yeah, fluffy,” he mumbles, then hates himself for already letting his guard down when he hears Zuko laugh as well.
“Can we…talk?” Zuko asks.
“We are talking,” Sokka says.
“Yeah, for the first time in three years,” Zuko replies.
Sokka frowns at the tinge of bitterness in his tone. “Oh, and that’s all my fault? You didn’t reach out either.”
“What? No, I didn't say that," Zuko says quickly.
Sokka lets out a deep breath, internally kicking himself. “Sorry, I,” he rubs a hand over his face, “I didn’t know you would be here. I shouldn’t have come.”
Zuko takes a step closer to him. “I’m glad you’re here, Sokka, really. It’s really good to see you.”
Sokka feels some of the anger deflate, looking over at the man he loves. Loved. He’s giving Sokka a tentative, but soft smile. “It’s good to see you too,” he admits.

Ps, in this au there was only 1 season, where EVERYone competed, OJ still won and made the hotel, but he got a billion dollars instead because of how many people there are and he’s still rich
Salt:
She’s let go of her obsession with OJ after realizing what it did to their relationship, and how weird she would act. She tried getting Pepper back, but Pepper said no because she realized she felt better without her. Salt eventually got over it, and got a job at a modeling agency. She doesn’t know of Pepper’s whereabouts or her band. She’s moved out of hotel OJ (probably has made several apology videos)
Candle:
(Inner Flame does not exist in this au because I'm upset about ep 18) She's basically the same but she has a softer voice and can not understand tone in the slightest

they hate each other for how things ended, they hate themselves for ignoring the flaws in their relationship because it was the only safe thing they had, they miss each other more than anything, they’re gonna run away as soon as you put them in a room together, they tell themselves it’s better this way, their friendship is damaged and they don’t know if they’ll ever fix it, they would die for each other in a heartbeat despite it all, they are suffering in silence, zuko told mai about the whole thing days after the breakup, zuko is fighting to take back druk in the divorce, sokka gets aang in the divorce, aang didn’t know that they were even dating in the first place, they are coparenting, they are becoming friends slowly again, they are getting joint migraines over izumi and druk, they are getting together after years and years and years and years and years of wasting time, sokka is dying in his arms
