I headcanon Aroace Mei, just a personal headcanon (disagree if you like) I also like lesbian Mei but thought I'd give some aroace appreciation

Silktea was only given 1 episode but OH BOY did it fuel our wild shipping habits. And I jumped on the bandwagon. It's a reference to that scene in She-Ra where Scorpia tells Catra she 'didn't want to do this' then wraps kitty up in the blankey and cradles her like a wee baby. And Sandy would do that for any friend, I will die on this hill

Saw a fanart where Mk had a pig nose themed pacifier and I just yoinked that idea. The pig hoodie and the pacifier seems like something Tang would do for Pigsy (also to get away with free noodles cause who can say no to that face?~)

I know many people have issues with shipping with Nezha and such and I know the two had a rough history but y'know what fans do; they love to make the people who kill each other soulmates (platonic, romantic or otherwise) Even if it wasn't romantic, I still love the idea of them being buddies and just chilling, the danger noodle prince and the angy prince snuggle and watch a movie (mainly from Nezha 2019 but I also saw New Gods and can I just say, I want those two twinks to bicker then kiss awkwardly and I want Yun Xiang to BEAT. HIS. ASS) but in case anyone asks, I do perceive Nezha to be a consenting adult in general outside shipping drama and if the two are adults, it does make my heart squeal when I see these two hold hands and whatnot

HOW COULD I EVER FORGET MY SPICYBOIS, inspired by that one Ponyo kiss scene. I was actually gonna make a bigger piece but then I saw someone do it already in a much better fashion than I ever could and I just gave up on the idea but Ig here, its just like the two cakes mentality and I gave it a go. Have spider queen or scorpion queen ever interacted before? No. But they are both queens and I believe Spider Queen's confidence could rub off on Scorpion Queen and she'd appreciate the company of Spider Queen's children henchmen. Also she give yummy food so lesbian venomqueens for the win

Redraw of that moment with Peng and Azure. I normally detest that bird but these two do get some gears grinding and whatever anyone says. Neither of those two are straight. I'll tell ya that.

Toxicinsanity is another rarepair that had like 1 sec screen time. I don't think they'd ever work out in canon and had virtually no chemistry. I still love all the fluffy ship content I can find of them though and if it ever were to happen. I think the mayor would scare the sh!t out of Syntax

Let's get at least one hetero couple here, Chang'e and Hou'Yi are a couple of favorites ngl, I took most of their outfits from Over the moon cause both of them looked stunning, Chang'e especially. I've seen people ship mah girl with other people and while I do agree it's healthy to move on, in my heart she will always long for Hou'Yi

Also irl, on valentines, my mum took us out for lunch, she treated us to bubble tea and donuts. We walked home so I waited to drink mah drink in my room while I drew and I accidentally finished it all... I'm so sorry mum

sun wukong is an avid cuddler, with nothing to do, aside for training mk he has a lot of free time. he's a total clinger. at least one part of his body has to be touching you, move often than not hes laying on top of you, with his taiI wrapped around your leg. also likes when you pet him and give him scritches, hes putty in your hands. also he snores.

chang'e is the cuddle queen, and the only one here that won't accidently smoother you in there sleep. she is open for whatever cuddle position you want. Her personal favorite is when your spooning her, it makes her feel secure and she will practically soak up your warmth even with all the blankets. (I think she's a blanket hog)

macarque is more reserved then wukong and will not admit when he wants cuddles or scritches, though further into your relationships he just plops himself on you eexpecting you to understand. his favorite cuddle position would either be w/ your arms wrapped around him w/ him burried into your chest or he also likes spooning in either position.

mayor is a naturally physically affectionate lover, who is down to cuddler when ever and where ever. he's not a very clingy guy while cuddling however he'd at least like to be near you and touching you in some way aswell. His favorite postion would be you laying against his chest, trapped in his embrace.

I'm so validated by you bringing up Benched because Macaque starts having an honest-to-god panic attack. When he picks himself up off the floor after being electrocuted by the lantern, and realizes he can see his breath, he starts sweating & breathing really fast, and glancing around. It's one of my favorite moments. He's utterly terrified and, unlike when facing Possessed Wukong later, can't even try to hide it. He's so, so, SO scared of her & I'd love the show to give us more insight about it.

I feel like i don't see enough about it. Like Mac is never so much as phased like...almost the entire rest of the show. He jokes about the end of the world ("I'm kinda on this whole living streak right now, so we were hoping, maybe, you could call off this whole end of the world thing. Would really help us out :3"), isn't at all surprised when Wukong crashes his monologue on MK ("Monkey kiiing! Good to see ya, bud."), gives Peng shit during (another) end of the world scene, etc.

He gets a bit rattled sometimes (MK attacking him during Shadowplay/causing that flashback, Mei jumping him in the winning side (which can be debated, I'm in the camp that was all an act but ignoring that HC-), etc.) but we almost never see him scared, and certainly never terrified. The only other time is when the Mayor surprises him in Shadowplay, mac is visibly unnerved. But that's because mayor and LBD are one and the same.

He is terrified of LBD for some reason, benched is proof. Because as you say, he borders on a full panic attack, and he's bargaining for his life. That is a FAR cry from anything else we've seen from him.

So I repeat the question - what did she do to him?

(all of these are for my design of MK, which will be at the bottom, though many of them also apply to not just my design)

- Uses He/They pronouns

- Transmasc

- ADHD/Autism (both)

- Goes non-verbal occasionally, mostly after long work days or tedious tasks that require lots of focus 

- Favorite stim is repeating words/phrases that they find funny

- They sleeps on their back in human form but when in monkey form he sleeps either on his stomach or on his side due to his tails getting uncomfortable after a while

- Keeps all of his limited edition/collectable figures in the boxes

- One time he dropped one of their collectable Monkey King figures and dented the box, he then cried about it on the phone with Red Son for an hour, who was not amused

- Stays up way to late drawing/painting

- Staying up that late doesn’t help with their already poor work effort

- Likes to show off their drawing/paintings to his friends, Mei will occasionally commission them for art for her streams and will gawk about it to her fans

- Mei’s fans are where most of his commissions come from

- Dabbled in other art mediums like clay and lino but made such a mess that Pigsy banned him from these mediums (”How did you even get lino scraps in the noodles!?”)

- Got bullied in school but Mei would always be there to punch any of them if she saw it

- This got them both in trouble lots at school

- One time Mei punched one of MK’s bullies so hard it knocked them out, the school called Pigsy and his response was “Served them right, shouldn’t mess with my son. Or his crazy dragon friend.” He then promptly hung up before they could say anything else

- Their vitiligo is caused by stress

- Started developing their vitiligo around the age of 15 due to the bullying and failing a couple of classes at school

- After getting out of school their vitiligo practically stopped expanding but started up again after he gained Monkey Kings staff

- The vitiligo used to just be around the corners of their eyes but after gaining his monkey form it suddenly expanded into a monkey mask looking splotch

- He doesn’t like his vitiligo very much and tries his best to cover most of it with clothing but both Mei and Red Son absolutely adore it so his jacket often comes off when it’s just them alone

- Loves spicy foods (Thank you to PittedPeaches’s fic “From Three Thirty to Four” (On Ao3) for this one)

- Has a fear of mayors because of LBD’s disciple

- Has sensitive hearing and loves wearing headphones, which eventually leads them to ask Macaque how he deals with it, Macaque just shrugged and said “I suffer, I guess.” and MK immediately took him to buy some good headphones. Macaque will deny using them but he definitely does and is very grateful to MK for buying them for him

- Will clean anyone's house but his own, Macaque, Sandy and Wukong have all come home to find it spotless because MK was procrastinating something

- Will sometimes let Porty MK out to run around because people really liked his skill after S1 Ep 2 and have made him a kind of “extreme party night” location

- Red Son has come across Porty out in the wild and was extremely confused but never brought it up to MK (Red thinks it might be some sort of secret identity and doesn’t want to pry)

- Doodles Red Son whenever they are at a movie night/hangout, it’s practically a stim by now

Designs (old MK, new Monkey MK):

Good lord, Icy. What have you been drinking and where can I get some?? I mean, when you start analyzing the wood?? Hello??? And you mention the Underworld??? 😭 Okay those meanings are kind of insane, maybe hold onto them. Interpretive freedom and all. Is it too late to convince you this has nothing to do with Wukong (as if all of LMK hasn't already had to do with him) and is just a reference to the opening theme lyrics Familiar Tales, New Adventures? XD I referenced it before because I knew it was sneaky enough heh. Last episode, Mac dragged in the Not-Mayor like your street cat bringing dead things into the house, this episode he is the house cat caught 10 seconds before disaster tied up in a ball of yarn. Kidding kidding, but true as well. Remember the "tied up in his own shadows and chains?" Yeah, weird. So apparently (and keep in mind, sometimes flashbacks can be biased!) that bit really did happen and Wukong was there to see it. It's not just everyone they've fought against, it seems to be...a memory almost, wouldn't you say, Icy? Macaque tied up like that, the tear/blood drop I promised you? The especially evident "Monkey, no violence!" you hear after? Tripitaka and the fillet??? Also Wukong's face when seeing his friend <3 <3 <3 and his instinctive yell when hearing Tripitaka OOOH 👀 omg. I'm all over that. Does it still bother him? I mean with how often the headband dug into his head, how much it hurt, oh he's got lasting issues. Rip </3 your turn to get trauma triggered. Oh yeah, also the translation. Mac here says, "You're nothing!" Like, I think I said it reflected what he told MK in The Winning Side. As a theory for what he told Wukong. "Your staff's gone, your power and freedom's gone. You're not the Monkey King, you're nothing!" if he found him with the pilgrims. But his line and Nezha's are taken from previous episodes, so are they meant to be parallels of the further/not recent past or, just chosen from there? We're pretty split on how Mac reacted tbh, and the Chinese dub has him say "You abandoned me!" which changes the meaning entirely. And falls in line with Shadow Play. The new characters' lines are pretty solidly from the past so eh. Maybe both. I talk a lot about the monkeys (and I'll probably refer to them as shadowpeach for convenience's sake when speaking of their scenes together despite it being a ship name, their duo name is eclipse/sundial duo but we're all just too used to the former.) anyways, this is meant to say that this season, for the sake of a certain someone in your note's favorite antagonist, I will be rewatching s4 to sort them out :P I think its worth the effort, what with fandom repeatedly being extra weird with your fav, I get it, so may as well explain what the heck might be going on.

Little teenage Icy went thru a witch phase to try and curse people. I learned about different woods and stuff. My tarot knowledge came out of this time in my life too.

Persona ~ Prt 2

Now, it’s time for Lego Monkie Kid!

At first, I was going to give myself powers that matched that of one of my favorite characters, however, that ended in me making a Lego Monkie Kid OC. After that happened, I had a thought. “What if I had the same powers as the main, main antagonist?” 

Persona Headcanons:

Popped into the universe at the very beginning! I was there for it all!

Didn’t know I had powers until the Mayor popped up one day and told me.

The Mayor started addressing me with “My Lady”, but I eventually got him to just address me with “My Dear”. “Princess” is off the table!

I stuck around with Team Monkie Kid for a while until LBD got released and then the Mayor dragged me down to the Spider Demon Lair because I was “important for destiny”.

The Spider Queen kinda took to being a mix of a mother-figure and a best friend rolled into one (she’s more friend though). Strong Spider and I have matching personalities kind of, so we hit it off rather quickly. Syntax tolerates my presence, but he’s not a big fan of me touching his stuff. Huntsman likes me and has been teaching me how to fight/use my powers in a Spider Demon type of way. All in all, the Spider Demons became like my family.

In the episode “72 Transformations”, when LBD started taking out the Spider Demons, Spider Queen asked MK to take me with him as he ran, and despite my protests, MK listened.

Wukong became really defensive towards me when he met me, not really trusting me because I was “a part of the Lady Bone Demon”, but he started to calm down when he saw that I was nothing like her. I use my powers to help and protect, not hurt.

ALL HAIL THE DEMON AU

In this Au, ALL types of demons are looked up to as high class, celebrities, saints even. The top demons are Demon Bull King, Princess Iron Fan, Spider Queen, Scorpion Queen, Lady Bone Demon, Nezha, Chang’e, The Gold Twins, Six-Eared Macaque and of course, Monkey King. Everyone respects them like saints, worshiping them, holding events and celebrations for them. Every year, all types of demons come together to celebrate the Anual Èmó Festival. A week long festival where demons come out of their lands to the city of lanterns to attend the festival where they are treated personal shows, dances, feast and more. Everyone has an opportunity to present and perform in front of them, maybe even a chance to meet them up close.

LMK Characters:

Mk: Mk goes to the festival, hoping to preform and met Monkey King. He does and actually gets quite well acquainted with Monkey King. Leading to him being announced as his successor, (think of Kung Fu Panda).

Mei: She’s nervous of the festival because she too wants to be recognized as a high class demon, hoping that when going to the festival, she’ll be moved up the ranks.

Tang: In this Au, (and mostly because he’s my favorite character), he’s not only a perfertional story teller of demons but also a hidden-identity dancer. Tang’s life is just basically perfect and just the way he wants it, until Monkey King and along the other demons recognize him as someone else… at least that’s what it seems.

Pigsy: He wants to be known for his famous noodles by the demons. But once meeting the Monkey King, like Pigsy, he can’t help but feel he’s known before…

Sandy: He just comes along the ride, but once meeting the Monkey King, like Pigsy, he can’t help but feel he’s known before…

Demons  Red Son: It’s his first time coming to the festival, he’s quite fascinated by it, being able to see the humans up close. Turns out that the reason his parents brought him was to find him a mate…

Mayor: He holds the event… that’s it…

Monkey King: He often comes to the festival but hasn’t in years, not after his brothers and master have sadly passed away. His dearest friend/brother (yes I’m making them brothers so sorry shadowpeach shippers…) , Macaque tries to convince him to go. Thankfully this year he does, hoping to find a successor to take his staff as he plans to retire. (His staff has been behaving odd, as it wishes to move on to another holder)

Macaque: Him and wukong are still close firends/ brothers. He use to go with Wukong to the festival but since his brother lost his master and other brothers, he didn’t want to go alone.(yes he has social anxiety…) After years of convicing his brother, they go. Only for Macaque to meet a certain… human… who he is quite… fascinated by.

DBK and PIF: They go to festival to feel remembered and to get away and have some… privacy~

Spider queen: She goes cause she’s such a attention seeker, plus to get people in her kingdom.

Scorpion Queen: Lonely girl just wants to find friends and maybe a mate.

Lady Bone Demon: She takes the festival quite serious. Not wanting anything to ruin the perfect week.

Nezha: It’s his break from guarding the Fire of samahi map, he also quite enjoys the festival.

Chang’e: Like Nezha, it’s her break and a chance to get off the moon and go back to earth.

Gold Twins: Up at their mischievous ways, (might add more)

PLEASE do ramble more about Whumpee Macaque and LBD and Mayor as whumpers please please I am sitting with popcorn and begging you with Eyes.

I'm not in a coherent mood so this won't be connected but have a collection of unrelated thoughts. Mostly fanon/HCs (but not all!)

consider, if you will, if the mayor is the one that killed macaque and not wukong (and then LBD warped that memory)

Consider again, if you will, if the mayor was there to collect him when he was revived

continue considering mac needing to be trained after being revived. Has to learn to function half blind. Any long-term injuries he now needs to adapt to (in Core mac had to go from right to left handed because he can't SEE his right hand well anymore, but then first had to recover from the injury that destroyed his left shoulder. It was a long road). Balance being fucked up, lack of depth perception. Having to relearn how to fight with all that.

Needing a sparring partner, perhaps. Consider for me that the man who killed him "helps" him recover from it. Mac doesn't know this.

Consider the scar that killed him being really sensitive. The mayor knows exactly where it is. Can drop him in an instant.

Mayor constantly beating him down while "training" him to recovery. Mocking him, digging into the wound of wukong killing him. ("So weak, no wonder he discarded you.")

Mayor knowing mac uncomfortably well, and abusing this knowledge

LBD knowing mac uncomfortably well, but in a different way. Mayor knows mac's powers and scars and weaknesses, knows his body and how to bring him down, because he already has. LBD knows his mind, warped it and twisted it. Sifted through memories to twist them appropriately. Knows him inside and out.

At least one of them knew Mac liked theater, how else would the Mayor know to check a run down shadow play theater for him? What an odd place to look for a monkey who is, presumably, on the run from you.

I HC that the mayor has some sort of paralysis/freezing power - see Shadowplay where Mac just freezes when the mayor grabs him. Imagine the fun there :)

Mac is so genuinely terrified of LBD/his debt to her - that is his entire motivation in S3. It's not personal, sure he's mad at Wukong still, but that's not what drives him. Every time we see him, he talks about "being free of his debt". And in benched he is TERRIFIED of her, bargains the fire when she has him chained up, you can hear it in his voice. What has she done to him to earn that? We NEVER see Mac scared, even fighting possessed Wukong he's not scared. LBD instills a fear in him that we never see otherwise.

She seems able to cause psychic pain (the winning side - dragging mac through flashbacks we see him tense and frozen and then slumps when she lets him go)

Speaking of that scene, it opens with mac SCREAMING. We hear him scream before we see anything.

I can't not mention the ice covering. The time limit, the way that that is the most serious we ever see mac. That he knocks MK out to get him out of the way, threatens everyone's lives for it. She's put a timer on his head (we see the ice expand) and it HURTS. He keeps holding the arm covered in ice when he talks to Wukong, he stumbles. He's in pain and on a timer and panicking.

And, if you feel like indulging in AUs (as you all know I do) then LBD is a real fun whumper if you stick her and mac in a room for longer than they're shown in the show. @lotusmonkey and I have delved that particular rabbit hole MANY times it's one of my favorites.
