i saw tgm the other day and wow you're right. hangster has consumed me. do you have any fic recs?
i sure fucking do!
unsportsmanlike conduct (my fave one. everyone read it)
don't be a baby (remember what you told me)
men like us
to feel a little love
there's something happening, somewhere
only just getting started
proof of concept
ring the alarm
take me where i want to go (put my body in the dangerzone)
i'm hiding in the blue
come on now, baby, give me just one look
i've been afraid of changin' (cause i've built my life around you)
set your world on fire, objects of desire
my heart is out, my guard is down
it doesn't have to hurt
the beginning, and the middle (not the end)
my sweetheart (where are you?)
playing for keeps
no need to take it slow
even though it shows
time and time again
looking good, feeling good
i'm coming back to his side to put it right
enjoy the mental illness friend

if an outsider had walked in and observed this scene, sam would have been abashed with how ridiculous and childish it all appears :  her,  gracefully poised to his left,  countertop repurposed as a bench with the perfect viewpoint to his misery,  just out of range of the dangerzone. him, shoulders rammed underneath his ears with all his recalcitrant chagrin poised in his spine, hips, pout,       lowering fist. impossibly, she is radiant at six in the morning, smile as coy as a cat amongst the pigeons and clearly enjoying the show.   careworn, grumpy and vibrating as he is, sam cannot bare to look at her.
he’s struggling to think only of calm, sandy beaches.   not her smugness.    the smell of the sky.  not the smell of failure.   a broad, vibrant smile in an otherwise dreary municipal office that had interrupted a mundane life to show him all this adventure.  actually, screw all that smile.  if it weren’t for  “the adventure” , sam never would have busted his knuckles on this stupid ass contraption.   his baby nephew fitting from elbow to wrist.  not wrapping the evidence up in a bag to bury in an unmarked location.   one breath in. one breath out -
(    ‘in total, not including labour, it comes to about sixteen grand  but i built it with my own two hand so it’s priceless. one of a kind, wilson, just like me.  it’s the only  STARK INDUSTRIES coffee machine in the world and i’m giving it to you.’ stark had boasted  [ as he always boasted ]  his way around the tour he insisted giving to sam, buffeting him some of the countless rooms on each of the sixteen floors. in either half an hour or half a year sam had lost count, stark had modestly appraised the entire land at a conservative one hundred million due to the avenger’s brand, presence, rabid fanbase but that wasn’t all that boisted it’s cost. it heralded an impressive six landing pads, a mile long swimming pool, holographic training pad with real event simulations and a war room designed to cuck the situation room below the white house.    with one arm hooked, chaperoning around his shoulders, the billionaire assured him that sam’s own bad posture would be corrected by the four thousand dollar beds or the personal physical therapist who would be on-call and exclusively theirs - ‘bet you don’t have that in dc, do you, wilson?’  no, but sam’s home had a working coffee machine that needed to be punched in the face.    so, take that.  )
the thought of a home free from an eight hundred dollar blanket brings peace enough to open one eye whilst his breathing drags to something controlled and careful. only to have to face black smoke blooming from a cyclinder that’s cracked too much to pretend it was an accident. his favourite cup, emblazened with bright blue words assuring him he’s ‘the world’s best hero’, inconcievably split perfectly in two. brown sludge squirting the stink of burnt coffee all over his best workout shirt.
there are beans scattered and shattered around his shoes ; the messly, crumpled pile only the evidence that remains of his pride.
❝       . . .   it broke me first.  ❞
Tumblr media
and it doesn’t evade his attention, that natalya is offering zero help in his time of crisis.  but her help is probably just allowing him to wallow without smearing his shame to the others.          ❝      help me flee the scene of the crime,   skip the morning workout,   blame all this on vision and i’ll buy you starbucks for a month.  ❞

Most are found in fixed locations. Many of them can be found throughout the open world, and once you find one and sit in it you can have it delivered to you for free at any time. The Danger Mobile : Go to the following location to find it. The Dangerzone : Go to the following location to find it. This vehicle requires the RC Jumper. It is located in an alleyway at the north side of the park near the Painted Ladies in San Francisco. The Mountain King : Go to the following location to find it. The Rainbow Missile : Go to the following location to find it. It is located in San Mateo near Silicon Valley. In one of the yards, you should be able to find a woman and a robot. Before you do anything, first distract both of them. This will allow you to open the gate and drive the vehicle away. It is located near the lighthouse by the Golden Gate Bridge. While at the lighthouse, you should be able to see a campsite with the Ice Cube. The Wrecker : Go to the following location to find it. It is located in the Port of Oakland. Use your Quadcopter to scan the area. Look for a bunch of shipping containers stacked together. It is inside the open blue shipping container that is on top of some other stacked containers. Go to the Tidis corporation shipping facility, north of the Palace of Fine Arts. This is a front for the Brava crime syndicate. The Gnome is near the front gate, inside a doghouse. Go a block north of Embarcadero Center, and enter the alleyway across from the park. Look for a rainbow-colored awning on a bus stop to know if you are going the right way. Go over the fence and climb the ladder to find a vent. Use the RC Jumper to enter the vent. Use the Blume control box inside before going to the rooftop. The ventilation duct will now be unlocked. Enter it to find the Gnome. Look for a gang controlled lot with a small mobile home near the San Francisco to Oakland freeway. There is wheelbarrow full of dark liquid nearby that contains the Gnome. The block next to it has a parking lot and a small brick building with a mural of a unicorn on it. Reach the roof of this building to find the Gnome. Go to the top level of the east block of the Transbay Center. Activate the RC Jumper requires the "Enhanced Spring" ability off the shorter hedge to access the walled-off area. The Gnome is found inside. Across the street is a grey building. Reach the rooftop of the building to find the Gnome near the hot tub. Search for the garden west of the Painted Ladies in San Francisco. Enter from the corner of Doobie Donuts, and go inside the alleyway. The Gnome can be found up the first set of stairs. Go to the rooftop of Taqueria to find the Gnome. Go to the tunnel between Lake Merritt and the Coliseum in Oakland. Climb up the small dock inside and use the ladder to find the Gnome. This money bag is located inside a drainage near a bunker and requires the RC Jumper. There are enemies around but you do not need to worry about them. Use the RC Jumper to access the restricted area. Approach it from the south using a boat to find the money bag. Locate the underground level during the mission in this area. The area is blocked by some boxes that you need to destroy before getting the bag. Enter the restricted area of this section of the map to find the money bag inside a house, on the balcony. There is a ramp on the pier; use a bike to jump off it and reach the other side to get the money bag. Go to the end of the dock and locate the gang members to find two money bags they have surrounded. Go to the parking garage that is behind the fenced-off area to find the money bag on the second floor. Locate the lower courtyard that is guarded by gang members. Use the RC Jumper to jump onto the plants along the eastern wall to find the money bag. While on the streets, locate the backyard guarded by gang members to find the money baf in this same area. Locate the construction area near the freeway. The money bag is above the office of a construction worker. Go to the southeastern corner of the compound and jump on the roof of a small building next to it. Enter the restricted area to find the money bag. Use the Quadcopter to scope the fenced area guarded by gang members. Use the RC Jumper to access the money bag. Search the indicated locations and complete the listed tasks to collect all hidden Key Data and get the "Researcher" achievement. It is also needed to buy certain skills and upgrades. The Key Data locations are shown in-game and easy to find. Open the research app on your phone and select a key data skill. It will show you the rough search area on the map, not always the exact location. You can use the Quadcopter and scan the world for nearby collectibles. Figuring out the solutions to these puzzles is the harder part. All the others can be found without the use of skill upgrades. You can reach all key data early in the game, after unlocking the research app. They are saved instantly when you collect them, and none are missable. You can also view which ones you have found in the research app. Unique vehicles are displayed on the map when you are near them. They are found in fixed locations. There are many of them that can be found throughout the open world, and once you find one you can have it delivered to you for free at any time. Go to the following location in the Port of Oakland and scan the area. A blue car icon will be displayed when you get close to it. Hack the large container crane to create a path. Once you are at the top, use the "Vehicle Directional Hack" skill costs two research points to move the car out of the container and get the "A Ride To Remember" achievement. Cable cars are found driving around the inner city of San Francisco near the Transamerica Pyramid. Go to the following location. Then, either follow the tracks on the road or wait for a cable car to arrive. They only drive around a very small area. You can simply pet the same dog ten times in a row to get the "Doggyland" achievement. You will frequently find dogs throughout the open world. A fixed spawn point can be found at the following location at Pier 39 by the restaurant north San Francisco. When you fast travel to this area, a dog will always spawn. You can also find many dogs at the beach when it is sunny outside. This can be done in San Francisco. Near the "Dye Dude Kiosk" marked on map is a donut shop. During the day, you can find a man wearing a donut costume. He does not spawn at night, only by day during business hours. Then, call the cops on the donut guy using the skill for them to come and arrest him and get the "Feeding Frenzy" achievement. Note: You may also want to take a picture of the donut guy before he gets arrested. A great location to find vomiting people is near the bar at Jack London Square at the Pier in Oakland. Vomiting people will often spawn at the pier during the day and night. They show up randomly -- so depending on your luck this may take a little while. Look out for drunk people the ones that look sick. Just keep running up and down the pier for a while until you find someone vomiting, then take their picture to get the "Hold My Hair" achievement. Fast travel to the "Plainstock" clothing store in Oakland eastern part of the map. This can be done from the beginning. The fastest motorcycle in the game, called the "Sayonara", is recommended for doing this achievement. You can purchase it at elite car dealerships and have it delivered to you. Go to the following location in San Francisco and use the ramp to perform a long stunt jump. If you have any issues, buy the "Engine Override" skill that unlocks nitro. With the extra nitro speed, it will be much easier, but it is not required. You must first buy the "Vehicle Directional Hack" skill costs two research points. This skill allows you to remote control vehicles. Just climb on the roof of a car and press the required keys to initiate the skill, then travel meters to get the "Let Me Ride" achievement. The Merengue can be bought from Total Motors car dealerships. After purchasing it, you can get it from the car dealer's garage or you use the "Car On Demand" app to have it delivered to you. Then, drive 4 km 2. Just drive it along a highway to quickly get it. You will get the achievement after stopping the vehicle, not while driving it. It is marked on the map from the beginning. Simply walk around with your camera until someone makes a funny pose. The NPCs will do this very frequently when you aim the camera at them. This works well on sidewalks. Go to the location shown in the video and start shooting at people until someone calls the cops. Kill the police to quickly raise your wanted level. At Level 5, drive through the underground parking garages. Close the doors behind you. Inside the last garage, lock the door. When the door is powered down, nobody can enter. This effect runs out after a few seconds -- so you must quickly power it up and down again if cops are outside. If they did not see you driving into the garage your radar turned yellow , this should be easy. After your radar turns yellow, you must stay out of sight for one minute. If this route does not work on the first try, just drive through all the parking garages again at a higher speed. Try to be out of sight by the time you reach the last garage. Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding achievement. To the Beautiful You
Shouto Todoroki X Reader
Tumblr media
Wine glass on your left hand and your phone on the other, anticipating for the next message to come. You don't even know if it will come. For context, the last message was sent 2 hours ago and the last reply you gave was seen an hour ago.
Tonight is your wedding anniversary. The first of many is what you hope but with the ratio of your dinner together to solo takeout night, you might as well rent a whole apartment to yourself.
You've been oriented on what to expect and not to expect as a proheroes lawfully wedded partner. First off, expect late nights that can extend to the next daybreak for any coming shifts which means to not expect cute pinterest date nights nor cuddles in the morning light. Second, expect the worst at any moment - a proheroes job is always in dangerzone much more than the lime light portrays meaning don't expect to be known by the public which translates to no holding hands nor any public display of affection. Your safety comes first as he said. Lastly, always expect the worst. The higher a proheroes ranking is, the more dangerous the missions are which means high stake injuries are always a probability more than a possibility. And lucky for you, you just happened to bag the number 3 hero. So really the "till death do us part" clause in your wedding vows is and always will be taken seriously and legally (its in the prenup).
You do wonder however if its only you who gets to experience the downsides of a prohero lifestyle, relationship-wise that is. Because you see Deku's fiancee and they're always a burst of sunshine with their private stories filled with their late night outings post saving the world. And there's also Uravity with their stories of cooking dates and failed recipes because neither them nor their partner can follow a recipe without freestyling it. Plus there's Dynamight who has everyone beaten with their carefully planned and truly aesthetic wedding just last weekend. Celebrated in the dainty garden of Yueei, right in front of the Sakura Tree where he apparently confessed, the wedding was filled with nothing but love and joy.
So you can't understand why is it that your lovely husband Shouto has never initiated anything sort of romantic or even beyond with you. And its been a year! The last time you've been intimate was on your wedding night. Your wedding night! And from then on, its like he's the only hero available in Musutafu taking late nights after late nights so much so that you decided you've wasted enough food to have a proper dinner with him and your fridge can only store so much leftovers. No dates as well because baby boy is too tired for one and off days are spent sleeping in and not even you're shared bedroom. He has since utilized the guest room in fear of wakimg you up whenever he has a late night. At least thats what he says.
Sometimes you wonder if he does love you. Well actually you wonder if he has finally learned to love you. Because aside from your identity, here's what the rest of the world doesnt know - Shouto Todoroki only married you because his dear mother asked so. An arranged marriage between the poor daughter of a her beloved best friend who passed away with a last wish of securing the daughter a good husband. And who could be a better husband than her perfect youngest who seemed to have no qualms about the arrangement.
On one of your meetings before the wedding, you told him that its not too late to back out which he replied with a charming "I know".
He knew and yet three days later he showed up in his finest formal kimono designed so intricately one can tell it cost more than their life.
On your wedding night, just before your first kiss, you asked him "Why marry me?" to which he replied "Its nice to have someone". Only one sentence filled with what you felt was sincerity and then you were gone - lost in the paradise of his kisses and touch. You woke up in his warm embrace, his arms so strong you wish he wouldnt let go.
Your wedding night was a small step forward with the days following all a step backward because the moment he woke up and all formalities of the morning after were settled, you were back to being civil strangers. Married yes, but still strangers.
And strangers you continue to be. But you wouldn't back down without a fight. For all your quirklessness and insignificant looks, you are a damn good home maker. No you can't fight a damn villain and you sure as hell can't compete with all the stars in Shouto's universe, but as invisible as your light is, its still manage to shine in the aspect of domestic activities. Perhaps your mother knew that the only way you'll be worth a while is to be great in the kitchen, cleaning, and organizing and managing finances. Not that you ever mind, you love chores and you love cooking. You love the aesthetic of having a pretty house with all the quirky trinkets here and there and you love cooking for your family especially you're newfound one after the wedding. The smiles and hums of delight from your in-laws never fail to make your day. And you love fixing Shouto's clothes, preparing his bento and organizing his gear bag before he leaves for another shift. You love the domesticity of if all.
Perhaps thats what kept you going amidst all the missed calls, unanswered messages, wasted leftovers, and the cold nights in bed. That and the fact that you've always harbored feelings for the heterochromatic boy, now a man in all his might and glory. While you were never in his circle, you chose to admire him from a distance for fear that that you might annoy him plus with your quirkless state you might as well be invisible to him. So throughout middle school you always leave him encouraging post-it notes on his shoe locker if only to let him know that someone is rooting for him. Then by the grace of the universe, you manage to get into Yueei through the general studies course where you continue to oversee his progress both in his quirk and his private social life.
You never had the courage to confess to him knowing full well the competition is tough and frankly (and without self depracitation involved) you dont stand a chance. So imagine how much donation you gave to the local shrine once you found out that he agreed to your arranged marriage. It was a lot. An entire shrine refurbishing type of a lot.
But one year later, here you are drinking in your prettiest party dress wondering if he'll show up if you look your best.
Four hours and counting since his promised return, your dark mascara dripping down your face.
Oh how foolish you were for ever thinking you're getting closer to love.
Wine glass over the side table and your phone fallen off from your dainty hands, the three bottles of wine has finally taken its toll. You're goner a dreamland staring off into your make-believe husband's heterochromatic eyes.
Unconscious to the world and to the very real hands wiping off the mascara and make up off your face. Shouto has always thought you were beautiful in your natural state. The cream dress only highlights your magnificent figure and further accentuates your inherent glamour.
A year of being married yet he couldn't figure out how you were so devoted to him. Shouto only ever wish to honor his mother's wishes. Romantic relationships means nothing to him yet here he is undeniably infatuated with you. You with your little post-its and cute bento arrangement. You with your perfectly organized pantry and quirky kitchen trinkets. You with your silly monologues in the morning which unbeknowst to you he's always heard despite your belief of him being fast asleep. You with your dainty hands and all your DIYs. You with your calm nature that happily blends with the chaos of his family. You with his parents drinking tea and talking about all the mundane things in life. You with your doe eyes and silly smile. The beautiful you whom he wish to be deserving of.
And then there's him with his hopeless heart that he finally decides to give to you.
You slept in thoughts of despair but he promise to wake you up with nothing but his love to share.
Because happily ever afters are okay too, right?

Okay so Ethersea is overall kicking ass but can I just flag up one department in which Griffin kicked it out of the park this time around from a like GMing perspective?
There's this weird thing that I find when I'm GMing long campaigns where narrative sort of builds itself out backwards. I think it's an aspect of the 'always moving forward' style of storytelling that's required in RPG narratives since you don't have the luxury of going back and changing things - you'll start the story with a picture of what's happened and what's going to happen, but that's never the picture that you end up with. Once the story is in motion that original lattice of a narrative fills out into something bigger and fuller than you ever could've forseen, elements recontextualise themselves and everything gains a level of cohesion as if it had been planned, even though it wasn't even slightly. It's one of the things I love the most about GMing, since it's (in my experience, and I'm very much a writer at heart so this may not be the experience for everyone) not even intentional, it's just sort of what builds out of this kind of communal storytelling. It's like the story becomes this living thing in its own right.
The only slightly sad thing about this process as I've found it in my own games is how little of it the players get to see - from their perspective it just looks like the unfolding of a tapestry that was already there. At best maybe they'll be impressed by how well things weave together, but they won't see much of the impact they had on that tapestry. They don't see how the way they interacted with their character's father exposed more depth than I'd realised there was to him and changed him motivations entirely, or how the way they interacted with their gods changed the overarching narrative and reshaped the very thematic point of the story, or any number of places where they've had a hand in what the story ends up being.
That's the thing about how Griffin's set up this season, both with the Quiet Year stuff and the 'job' arcs where the players are choosing where to go and what to do and the world that's defined enough to have consistent, believable rules but also open enough for them to summon up entirely new places and people and concepts as the need arises - he's managed to open up that process to the players and make it an active part of the game. It's only occurred to me in these past few episodes because they've been deep in territory that would normally be in the dangerzone for losing player engagment - they're away from their characters, deep in world lore stuff. - but they've been like actively, excitedly involved nonetheless since they were involved in the putting down of those first framework scraps, and they've all been involved in filling them in, and they're just having fun communally sharing in the creation of this story together. It's great.

I’ve been listening to the soundtrack of one of my personal favorite video games from 2019 (Days Gone) and my mind decided to become active and create scenarios of an AU I actually never intended on writing at all. It kept bothering me until I actually did sit down and typed away
I have no idea if I will ever get to writing a full story of this. I can’t say that I won’t but I also can’t say I will with certainty. So might as well just share some bits and pieces here.
Also, English is not my first language so I apologize for possible grammar mistakes and typos.
Yongsun slowly opened her eyes as she regained consciousness, blinking a few times to get rid of her bleary vision. Her eyes scanned the surroundings, a slight soupçon of panic took her over once she realized this place wasn't familiar to her at all. She quickly sat up, groaning as her blood rushed to her head, making it pound tremendously.
Yongsun took a few deep breathes, trying to collect her thoughts. A string of questions flickered through her mind, wanting to be answered all at once. How did she get here? Where was she? What happened? The ashblond woman wrecked her brain, trying to find answers. No matter how hard she tried to remember what had happened, everything after the assault remained black to her memory.
 The assault
It slowly came back to her. She's been out to scout the area before she got assaulted by raiders. She remembered the first gunshot, the bullet sinking into the ground in front of her feet. Shortly after that, bullets flew everywhere, leaving Yongsun with no other choice but to run for cover. Once she had found a somewhat safe spot behind the debris of what she knew once had been a hardware store, she was finally able to scan the area for a quick escape route.
Swiftly moving from one spot to the next she was almost out of the dangerzone as she felt a sharp sting on the right side of her waist, then another in her thigh. Yongsun recalled she stumbled, crying out in pain before she fell onto the dusty ground and her mind went blank.
The low rumble of what Yongsun identified as the engines of motorcycles crashed her speeding train of thoughts. Her gaze wandered to the boarded-up window, daylight seeped through the cracks and illuminated the room she was in.
Biting her lip and trying her best to ignore the sharp pain in both, waist and thigh, she slid off the bed, immediately regretting that decision as her body got gripped by a vertigo, causing the ashblond woman to stumble forward. Her hands blindly reached for anything that could support her and luckily found the back lean of a chair standing at the foot of the bed she's been resting on.
Clenching her teeth, Yongsun endured the mind-numbing pain rushing through her body, breathing heavily through her nose. Her hand moved towards her injured thigh, eyes dropping down as she realized it was bandaged.
The ashblond woman's eyebrows knitted together in confusion and as if her hand was lead by an unseen force, Yong let her palm glide across her stomach, feeling the overlapping fabric through her shirt. As if to confirm, she lifted the piece of clothing to peek down at the white bandage. Someone has been taking care of her wounds.
Yongsun wasn't really sure what to make of this. Did someone really want to save her life or was the reason she got patched up an entirely different one? Ransom maybe? Keeping her alive to squeeze out informations from her? While her mind ran wild at the possibilities, her ears detected the sound of faint voices. She could make out four different ones.
With her curiosity piqued, the ashblond woman took a few deep breathes, bracing herself for the unpleasant feeling wrecking her body as soon as she began to move again, trying as hard as she could to ignore the soupçon of nausea rippling through her.
The injured woman limped towards the window, leaning against the wall as soon as she reached it while she panted, hand clutching onto her waist, sweat had begun to form on her forehead. Taking a moment to collect herself she leaned forward, as far as her injury would allow her to, peeking through the cracks of the wooden boards.
Her eyes scanned the area, noticing two makeshift watch towers with heavily armed men, two more men near the high fence gate. Yongsun's gaze wandered and in the middle of the outpost's wide space, she spotted them. There were indeed four people standing at a table, all four leaning over the map folded out on the flat surface. They were the ones talking, one guy and three women. The first she noticed was the woman in the middle.
Long black hair flowed over her shoulders, a black snapback on her head, the visor hid most of her face. She wore a t-shirt that was mostly covered by a bulletproof vest.
Smart in a world like that.
The camouflage pants were neatly tucked into black combat boots, a holster with a gun strapped onto her right thigh. The other two women were slightly smaller than her, both black haired too, sporting the same dark color from top to bottom.
While the guy just nodded and sometimes agreed with a simple word, the three women were actively discussing. Judging by the way the woman who stood in the middle moved her finger across the map, pointing at certain spots they seemed to discuss a route.
Yongsun couldn't help but to keep her eyes fixed onto the woman with the snapback. The way she kept on exchanging looks with the other two made Yong believe she was the one leading the outpost. She saw them nod to each other in agreement. The ashblond woman watched the leader dig her hands into the pockets of her pants, gaze still fixed onto the map as if to confirm what they just had agreed upon which she did with a small but firm nod to herself.
While the smallest of the group was talking, Yongsun's heart skipped a beat as the tallest woman suddenly lifted her head, staring straight up at her. She could see her say something to the others, patting the woman to her right on the shoulder before she walked towards the entrance of the house Yongsun was in.
Yongsun's mind ran wild, her breathing picked up as she frantically looked around to find anything to defend herself with. Even though these people were the ones who brought her to safety and took care of her wounds, their motives were still left unexplained.
Sheer panic took ahold of her as she could hear the creaking of what she assumed were the stairs, followed by footsteps approaching the door. With the adrenaline rushing through every fiber of her being, Yongsun limped towards the chair, grabbing it firmly, ready to try and hurl it at the one approaching.
Her muscles tensed as the door slowly opened and in walked the woman she's been watching outside just a minute ago. Confusion was written all over her face as soon as she spotted Yongsun, back pressed against the wall, breathing heavily with the chair slightly lifted in front of her as some sort of shield. The woman would've laughed at the almost comical sight if she didn't know it was out of sheer panic and fear. For a few moments, the two of them just stared at each other.
"Hey..." the other woman greeted in a surprisingly soft tone, but still not enough to make Yongsun drop her guard, "you're awake. That's good but you shouldn't be moving around."
The slightly taller woman took a step forward, only to see Yong flinch, lifting the chair even more, wincing from the pain in her waist.
"It's okay," the black haired woman said, lifting both of her hands up, "I'm not gonna hurt you."
She could see Yongsun's eyes flicker towards the holstered gun.
"I'll reach for my gun to drop it, okay? I really mean no harm."
The woman slowly lowered her right hand, unbuckling the clasp that held the weapon secure in the holster.
The ashblond woman's heart pounded against her chest, her muscles still tensed, ready to try and dodge the bullet if one was fired, her eyes followed each and every single movement the other woman made.
Much to Yongsun's surprise the stranger stayed true to her word, squatting down to drop the gun to the floor. She slowly straightened herself, both hands still lifted, eyes fixed on Yongsun as she kicked the gun to the side to signal she really meant it.
As soon as the gun was out of the black haired woman's reach, all the tension dropped from the injured woman, along with her adrenaline level. The moment her body relaxed, her head began to swirl as another vertigo dug its claws deep into her consciousness.
Her grip loosened on the chair she's been clutching tightly, clattering loudly onto the floor as Yongsun staggered, hands reaching for nothing but air. The last thing she remembered was the other woman rushing towards her, catching her in her arms, her voice faint and distant before she blacked out.
That wraps up this one; To whoever took the time to read: Thank you very much :) I hope you enjoyed reading.

i think it was back in 2018 that the last local writer did the jump from mobile phone to smart phone. pigs all around the world stood in line and clapping their pettitoes at his decision...
43/43
[it was one, if not the best day so far of 2020. sunny as fck and not a cloud in the whole star system, and to make this day even more spec, the dangerzone kk-car was going back to the mutter land [deutschland] that day and since it was so long time since i’ve shot something that long and rollin’ i had to make a plan [with almost a military precision] and with only four minutes til’ departure the plan ticked like a swiss clockwork... and then it started to hail so bad that i’ve had to run into a forest to seek protection... and when the train finaly came it was still hail’ing and i was still hiding in the forest and when i softly pressed down the shutter button everything fell apart. by acciden i've set the shutter to electronic so the rollin’ effect got the worst i ever seen, and the 1/4000 shutter speed that i set during the ‘califonia sun’ made the iso climb up to eight thousands in the grey hail darkness, and finaly: and “because dangerzone” i set the fps to maximum [9.0] without me knowing that the viewfinder turns off at high fps so i could not see what the hell i was shootin’ at, and thats why i’m gonna show y’all everything from the dangerzone extravaganza hail shoot out this weekend. enjoy!][or not!][one pic / hour]

There were two NPCs that I liked and thought were pretty important who didn’t have art, so I fixed that.
These are Ocha’s underlings, Gossfryn, Captain of the Centurions, and Urlowe, Head Druid.
The DM, @thedansome, provided me with his normal NPC background and I have abused it.

Moodboard: Jaime x Brienne - Shadowhunters AU
Brienne of Tarth has been quite busy at the King’s Landing Institute. The Clave assigned the young Shadowhunter a new case to investigate. Mundanes were murdered in odd fashion, a mixture of signatures one would associate with demons, warlocks and the like. Brienne travels to the latest crime scene, surprised to see someone already examining it, the infamous Jaime Lannister, the only honorably discharged Shadowhunter. He killed the former head of the King’s Landing Institute, Aerys Targaryen, and as a result was thrown out.
“Go to hell, Lannister. You are not allowed anywhere near Clave operations.”
“Have already been there, don’t fancy revisiting it. Thanks a lot.”
“Why are you here anyway?”
“Interest? And I am of interest to you because I may happen to have some valuable information, though you will have to ask me for it, nicely, I may add.”
“I think I can handle on my own.”
“I’ll be here once you realize that you need me… what was your name again?”
“None of your business.”
“Odd name. Is it Braavosi?”
“None of you business.”
“You can call me Jaime, just Jaime.”
Brienne just leaves the man standing where he is to investigate for herself. However, to her great dismay, the latest victim does no give her any new clues. When she walks back she is not really surprised but still irritated by the fact that the Kingslayer still lurks around the crime scene, looking at her oh so smugly. Begrudgingly, she asks him for the information he claimed to have. If he has some valuable intel, it is her obligation to obtain it, after all. Her opinion of him should not stand in the way of that.
“There’s one trademark achingly absent from this, wouldn’t you agree?”
“… No Seelie signature.”
“Would seem odd to me that if someone were to pain all Downworlders as bad, that someone would conveniently leave out those nasty always-telling-the-truth-though-not-really Seelies.”
“And do you have anything to support your hypothesis?”
“I may.”
“And you won’t share?”
“I don’t think you have asked me nicely yet.”
“I am fairly sure I did not, because I had no intention to.”
“But you want that intel, don’t you?”
“If you can’t give it, I doubt you even have it, in which case you still remain a waste of my valuable time.”
“Is that a challenge?”
“An educated guess.”
Brienne remains irritated by the man, but against many, many odds, he apparently has some valuable information that may prove vital to the case, leading all the way back to Seelie King Jaqen H’ghar.
Dutifully, Brienne reports back to the ops, leaving a very disappointed Jaime behind as he was hoping she’d at least treat him a coffee for his troubles, but no such luck. Head of the Institute Ned Stark is pleased to hear about the progress on the case she’s made but shows little enthusiasm once she tells him about the unexpected help she received from the Kingslayer.
“He’s up to no good,” he warns her.
“I am aware, but he helped me find evidence I needed to put things together. And I honestly thinks we are on to something bigger than the involvement of the Seelies in the latest attacks.”
“If you know what’s good for you, you will stay away from him in the future, though. That man cannot be trusted, and he has any reason to have something against us, against the Clave. We don’t know what his motivation is.”
“I have any intention to stay clear of him, but if meeting the Kingslayer again serves the Law, I will do what it takes to uphold it, Sir.”
With that, Brienne leaves the office to continue putting her report into writing. She runs into Ned’s daughters Arya and Sansa.
They grey on her by now, and Brienne started to feel responsible for them after their father was gone for a long time, having left everyone, his children included, under the belief that he died like his wife and son and his son’s wife did. Warlock Petyr Baelish collaborated against Ned after Robert’s demise, and it was owed to Varys’s quick thinking and passing him off as dead that bought them the necessary time to get Ned out of the dangerzone and find the people behind the plot. Ever since, things have been strained between the last of the Starks, to say the least, as the girls did not take kindly to the loss of their father and his sudden, unexpected return. While he was gone, Arya in particular joined a dark path, ran away and spent far too much time with the Seelies instead of fellow Shadowhunters. Sansa barely speaks to her father and retreated into herself, focusing most of her attention on handling the administrative duties she was assigned. Brienne took care of the girls after Arya returned to the Institute, for reasons unknown, and while the girls struggle, they grew to have some trust the tall, mannish woman. However, as much as they may have grown to trust Brienne they learned to mistrust their father. Ned, ever since, failed to reconnect with his children. And the fact that he became head of the Institute does not necessarily help the matter as he has little time to spend with his family even though all are in desperate need for just that. Brienne continues to push him, but to no avail.
The man is even more stubborn than she is, and that surely means something.
The blonde Shadowhunter goes back to her usual routines thereafter, but strange occurrences drive her out of the office out into the streets sooner rather than later, as evidence keeps suggesting to her that there is an uprising that may connect to the Night King whom all thought was defeated during the last Long Night. However, that was such a long time ago that people only see it as legend now, though Brienne is afraid that this legend may come to haunt them again if they don’t do something.
And as much as she hates it, this is damn well close to what the Kingslayer suggested to her back when he offered some intel during the Seelie case. He was the only one she ran into until now who had a similar suspicion.
Not knowing where else to turn with her theories, as authorities remain indifferent to her suspicions, Brienne tracks down the Kingslayer. However, disappointment soon overtakes her surge of enthusiasm as she finds Jaime drunk and miserable about himself after a rough night of “memories, too many memories,” as he lulls at her. Brienne isn’t having it and tells the man to get himself together if he means to stay true what he told her, wanting to solve that mystery as much as she. Jaime sobers up somewhat once he realizes just how serious the woman is, not just bothering to track him down but now also expecting better of him.
He didn’t have people put faith in him in a long, long time, after all.
“We have a common goal and the Clave won’t give the orders to further investigate unless I bring the evidence needed. If what you and I came up with turns out to be true, even to the smallest degree, then we may have the second Long Night on our hands and we have to stop it. It may well be that there may be a new uprising of the living dead we banished beyond the Wall. And as much as I hate to admit, you got further down the road than I did with my methods.”
“So that means you trust me?”
“I am willing to have a truce with you.”
“A truce.”
“We both have a common goal, which is to figure out what is going on with the murders, what’s the reason behind it all,” she tells him. “A truce would allow us to work together for this case only.”
“A truce… it does have a nice ring to it.”
“If you think so, meet me tomorrow and sleep off your hangover because I am here for business, not to become your personal nanny.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Jaime keeps true to his word and shows up at his most presentable the next day, quick to suggest to Brienne that if they want to get to the bottom of this, they have to reach beyond “familiar turfs and venture through the neighbors’ gardens,” which is his way of telling her that they should consult with Downworlders. Brienne is not particularly pleased about that as she was taught to stay clear of them the best she can but tags along anyway.
The Kingslayer brings her to the Dwarf Warlock of King’s Landing. It is only once she sees the two together that Brienne pieces together that this warlock is Tyrion and that Tyrion is Jaime’s brother. As they explain to her, Tyrion was abandoned after his warlock mark was discovered. Tywin had Jaime believe that Tyrion passed away from sickness but actually had him brought away to be with the warlocks instead.
“I am a thing of curiosity in all worlds there are. To the mundanes, I am a simple dwarf with a drinking problem. To my father and sister, I am a monster. To the Shadowhunters I am a warlock with dangerous abilities… and to the warlocks I am a danger all the same as I am the only warlock born from the union of two Shadowhunters, which is a thing of impossibility.”
“Which is why he started getting drunk to cope. I don’t think you’ve ever been sober since you came of age.”
“And I have no intention to start now.”
Jaime found him on a mission when he was younger and still a Shadowhunter out of the handbook when he was working a case. The two agreed to keep it a secret that they are brothers because they would not want to risk Tywin learning that Jaime and he got back together. After all, the man was willing to abandon Tyrion and tell Jaime that he died only just to know them apart.
“And Father won’t ever manage that again, we’ll see to that.”
After Jaime broke with the Clave, he spent most of his time doing nothing, waiting for the end of the Shadow World because he believes it is meant to go down, was always meant to be: “It started with Aerys and it ends with another bad guy. Fire or ice, all the same. In the end, the Shadow World is fucked and I am just here to watch the fireworks.”
Brienne calls him out on that because he came to the scene on his own. “Seems like you give a damn after all.”
“How daring of you to accuse me of caring for anyone but myself, wench.”
“An educated guess.”
Tyrion starts to take interest in not just the case his brother got himself into but also the female Shadowhunter who came to them for help. A little bit of digging around reveals some interesting information about her, namely that she is also known as the Kingslayer, a title both brothers thought was quite unique to Jaime’s case only.
When the leads keep them off the tracks and frustration starts to spread, Jaime and Brienne get into a heated argument, which soon ebbs into Jaime revealing Tyrion’s research about her and asking the really uncomfortable questions of why she is called that and why she never told him that they are “one and the same” after all.
“I am called Kingslayer still even though my case was cleared. We are not the same. I was accused of having murdered Renly Baratheon, but the charges were dropped because of a lack of evidence.”
“Which means they didn’t actually prove your innocence but just didn’t have enough against you to take your runes away.”
“I didn’t do it. Stannis did, but I don’t have the evidence to prove it and bring him to justice before the Law.”
Brienne always dreamed about becoming Renly's parabatai and hoped that he would choose her once it was time, but before Renly could even choose a partner of that sort, he was murdered. Her father wanted her to take over the Institute on Tarth as his successor, but she declined and instead went to King's Landing to stick to Cat after she helped her through the Renly trial and was supportive of her when no one else was. To repay the debt, Brienne felt all the more compelled to take care of Sansa and Arya when Catelyn passed away and they didn’t yet know that their father was still alive.
She wasn’t ready to become head of an Institute, and in Brienne’s mind, that moment won’t ever come as she doesn’t believe herself to be made of the stuff it takes to run an institute: “I don't have charisma, I don't know how to deliver great speeches to inspire people. I know how to fight. I know how to be a Shadowhunter. That is all I will ever be, and that is fine with me. That means I can devote myself to protecting the people I love.”
After that fight, the two feel a closer connection since ever as they now trust one another with their darkest secrets, even more so when Jaime reveals some of the circumstances behind his act of treason that got him dispelled.
And soon, feelings of distrust and misgiving become increasingly replaced by care and… something much stronger, something both actually gave up on long time ago, until they found it again – just with one another.
However, trouble is only ever just a step away as evidence keeps suggesting they are on the right track and they are running out of time to prevent the Long Night. Both have to face some inner demons as they have to confront their past and present, Jaime having to face up against Ned Stark and Brienne having to come to terms with the circumstances of Renly’s death.
When the two discover what has to be done in order to save not just their world but of all others, mundanes and Downworlders alike, and how much sacrifice that may mean not just for themselves but for them together, it puts not just their devotion to the cause to the test but also forces them into the tough choice of how far they are willing to go for duty, if love the price for it.

FIRST FIVE GET KISSES / 2/5 / @bodypossessed
Tumblr media
it’s not the darkness that surrounds them, the deity above threatening salvation from the frail existence he lives, nor the creatures that lurk within fog lain land,  a slight move pulling the other aisde, away from others, somewhere he feels as safe even within a dangerzone of monstrosities all set on being the end of light shining through darkened abyss, he won’t let that happen, how could he when so much weighs upon broken beaten shoulders. word unspoken between them, unexchanged signs that hold burden of souls burning though the realm of the entity,
A lean before he places a kiss upon other’s lips, everything seems brighter for him when Jesse is around, as though everything will be okay, even though he world around him is curel, there’s a shine in the gloom and seemingly brighter as skin touches his own, though as soon as the kiss started, seemingly it ended, crow singing in the distance signifying something is beginning, there’s no escaping the murk of the realm’s evil, though a small paradise is enough to keep him going, and seeing the other’s face after each trial bringing a smile upon usually tired features, safety illuminating from point of origin, and though the world he carries within him deems otherwise, he knows as long as Jesse is around, nothing could touch him- and nothing could harm Jesse.

The Lost Children
(lost in the multiverse, only the kids so not Mikay Georgiana Callianore etc, also not counting The Girl)
- The first?: Grace Alexa Williams (og fandom H5-0 but original character apart from the birth name - daughter of only (ftm) Danny Williams, not Rachel like in the other Grace Williams' universe), her 'verse falls when she is ~8, she gets the chance to stay in a similar 'verse and perhaps even as Grace's sister, refutes her name and leaves until she is an older teenager or in her twenties, when she returns regretfully to reconnect with what's left of her family, even just universal family
- Jojo and Joan/June (and Anna) McKoy - (St:TOS?, ocified because I frankly know next to nothing about the canon character if there is one? Just from some fics), Jojo's 'verse falls when she's 13 almost 14, June's when they are 15, and if we're being depressive Anna's does too at 19
- Vera, bodyswapped with Nessie at a young age, as C protocol is to get past universe travellers out of falling 'verses first, she survived the collapse of her adopted universe, then grew up with the aliens she landed with in her third universe
- Islington 'Isla' and Kenzington 'Kenzi' Patel (completely OC), sisters of a special kind - two beings one body, magic gives them the ability to have separate physical forms but they still often choose to stay together, both because they are used to it that way and feel lonely without the instant mental connection (& are actually less clumsy when joined), and also because they got separated from everyone and everything they knew at a young age and don't want to lose each other, too
-Aimsley (oc-ified Emily Lightman, Lie To Me), from a C involved universe, birthmother dead, Central-fighter G her mom, likes to visit her 'sister' one universe over when her parents are busy, and they switch sometimes eg to change classes they don't like - her universe collapses with the other (canon) Emily still in it and her stuck in canon-verse, no way of contacting C, knows Emily might have survived what with being in the universal system through her switches, but being a frontline fighter her mom probably hasn't despite being in the system... She stays in the canon-verse, using the nickname Lily for a while, still pretending to be Emily, before telling the adults the truth and essentially getting adopted
-'Original' Emily lightman, possibly I later called her Ally? Yeah, alley-ghost, she's (one version of) the one from the universe Aimsley is originally from, doesn't stay there once she makes her way back and finds everything changed, instead turns into a magical information holder/dealer in the alleys of e1, some say she's just a myth, thus 'alley ghost'
- Elianor Serena Wolfe, née Elinor Campbell, briefly Ilja Patel, still goes by the nickname later (HC - I have not actually watched that series so this is like 1% canon 20% fanon 79% OC) - Ilja grew up with two loving mothers, an older brother and a sister her age from the age of two of three onwards, in a (by comparison to the universals of herself she later meets or doesn't meet cause they're already dead at least) virtually perfect world... Only for it to collapse when she is a young teenager, living with Central for a time going to the academy in health studies to feel closer to her mothers - sometimes working incognito in hospitals with their universals - but ultimately decides it's not for her, travelling to dangerzones whenever allowed, lives together as a sister of sorts with the Patels and gets the last name added to her C file, apprenticeship under Carolina P in inter-universe archeology and tech-mage, in her downtime always looking for similar universes to her original one, finds her univs have a 20% chance of living to 21 and that's counting in herself, it's usually either drugs or car accidents or a combination, she tries to save her universals, is often too late or isn't believed, likes to go 'gravesitting' on the spot where her universal's grave is or would be, on the graveyard her family would be on had they really died and not just been ripped out of existence... Finally makes friends with her universal Nora, who is mostly sane, and/or (same person? Two people?) 'Ellie?', who she pretends to be while she's in rehab... Gets more or less adopted by S&B of Nora's verse, especially close to B
- Idk whether to count Cassiopeia, because technically her 'verse is still there and she later returns, but she spent 3 years in a Dark 'verse with no way to return or way to know whether the phenomena that brought her there would ever bring her back
