2023's been very rough. Dad getting into an accident/operation, losing Uncle, getting sick, unfortunate stuff. Just braved through the pull as I grinded on commishies. Hope 2024's gonna be alright for al of us!

I've been playing a DnD campaign based on FF14 for the past year or so, and our DM surprised us last week with character portraits commissioned form @whymaige ! So I'm just gonna ramble about them.

Punault was inspired by the Vath of the Heavensward expansion! They're a group of insectoid people who came together after their connection with the psychic hivemind of the Gnath was disrupted for various reasons. Most of them are still struggling with the concept of being an individual and try to find a role or purpose they can fulfill in their new colony of Loth ast Vath.

Punault decided to explore their newfound individuality by leaving the Loth ast Vath colony to become a machinist and an adventurer. They regularly horrify and exasperate their party by eating every weird plants and mushroom they come across, and most of the monsters they kill, only sometimes getting poisoned.

One day they will become an expert culinarian and bring their cooking arts back home to create dishes that truly only other Vath could possibly enjoy.

I saw this from @whymaige and decided to do my own. Oof it was actually hard to decide the last one that fits right with me but I definitely wanted to do someone from Fire Emblem.

1) Megaman X: A leader unsure of his decisions between right or wrong and who the true enemy is. 2) Ayanami, 07 Ghost: Very complicated character under his stoic nature. He holds many secrets such as I that are very hard to read. 3) Eiko, Final Fantasy IX: Afraid to be left alone despite whimsy behavior. She realizes that her friends made her open. 4) Kaine, Nier: If there is a sass cat with a sailor’s mouth, she’s the one. But she does have her compassionate side. 5) Albel, Star Ocean 3: Lost his father as I did, most of the time cold to others and keeps a distance 6) Oz, Pandora Hearts: Selfless and sometimes blames himself. He really loves helping others with his positive attitude, despite ... Me lacking some of that aspect. 7) A2, Nier Automata: Another sassy character but wants to fix some things but realizes the downfall of things. 8) Dust, Dust - An Elysian Tail: Two split spirits put in one like two split personalities. I could be aggressive or nice depending on a person. 9) Lethe, Fire Emblem - Radiant Dawn: She may be ruthless and sassy, but she uses her anger to show that she cares at times. Especially with her sister.
