ren speaks half-candidly, shifting in place as he smokes his cigarette with idle puffs. menthol. he talks like a host, so easy in his brief truths and semi-lies. ❝ it ... wasn't exactly in my ten-year plan growing up, ❞ he admits, ❝ but i can't imagine doing anything else. ❞

there is another industry ren is eyeing, what with the rumors that his second host might leave shining! entirely to go be a rental boyfriend. ren glowers for a moment. if sho is going to leave, then ren is probably going to leave, too.

❝ i was good in school, did clubs, some athletics, that sort of thing. nothing outstanding. ❞ top of his class. he was outstanding. a pregnant pause, one that he takes tenderly. ❝ ... music was my passion. it was never about fame. ❞ he shrugs. ❝ being a host still allows me that luxury. ❞

he doesn't perform much these days anymore, but he still graces the stage; the piano still waits for him.

it's my birthday tomorrow! it is always a strange vibe. for like a decade I've had an unconscious fixation on turning 27 (you can guess why). so it should be fine, but I also feel deeply weird not acknowledging how much 27 has stuck in my mind and how I am finally there

well these pieces are oooold by now but the Fodlan Cuizine cookbook has finally finished sending out preorders and i can post them!

first piece is my page illustration, and then the other two are based on the cocktails from the cookbook, themed around the Crimson Flower and Azure Moon routes respectively. these were really fun to work on and I enjoyed getting the chance to do food illustrations >:) which im definitely not doing more of this summer >:)
