The Disperse Dye Method for Polyester Carrier Dyeing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The world of textile manufacturing is intricate and intriguing, requiring a wide range of methods to produce the desired end result. The scatter dye method of polyester carrier dyeing is one such technique. In an effort to simplify the process for both industry insiders and inquisitive laypeople, this article examines the steps involved and the critical role that disperse dyes play. 1 An explanation of the polyester carrier dyeing mechanism Have you ever wondered how polyester fabrics manage to produce such vivid colors? The dyeing procedure, which turns white fabric into a colorful canvas, is the key to the secret. Disperse dyes, which are designed specifically for coloring synthetic fabrics like polyester, are the key component of this change.
2 The Crucial Role of Temperature and pH
Why does temperature matter so much in dyeing polyester fabrics? The answer is quite simple yet profound in its impact on the dyeing outcome.
Swelling of Fibers: Temperatures above 100°C are essential for the fibers to swell adequately, making them amenable to absorbing dye molecules.
Optimal Dye Uptake: The carrier dyeing method lowers the required temperature slightly (85–90°C), but the principle remains the same. Higher temperatures facilitate better dye uptake.
Maintaining the Right pH: Keeping the dye bath acidic (pH 4.5-5.5) is not just about the color. It ensures that the dye adheres well to the fabric, maintaining the stability and uniformity of the color.
Tips for Perfect Dyeing:
Always monitor the temperature closely to avoid overheating, which can damage the fabric.
Use acetic acid judiciously to maintain the optimal pH, ensuring vibrant and even colors.
3 Unpacking the Carrier Dyeing Method
Have you ever pondered how deep, uniform colors are achieved on polyester fabrics, a material known for its resistance to dyeing? The carrier dyeing method is the unsung hero in this process, facilitating the dyeing of polyester at temperatures that would otherwise be insufficient for penetrating the fiber.
Advantages and Considerations
Medium to Dark Shades: Achieving darker shades on polyester is possible thanks to carriers that help dyes penetrate the fiber more effectively.
Simple Equipment: This method doesn’t require complex machinery, making it accessible for various manufacturing setups.
Temperature Efficiency: By enabling dyeing at lower temperatures, carriers make the process more energy-efficient.
However, selecting the right carrier is crucial. Factors such as carrier efficiency, cost, impact on light fastness, and environmental considerations play a vital role in determining the best choice for a specific dyeing project.
4 The Role of Disperse Dyes in Fabric Coloration
Why are disperse dyes the preferred choice for dyeing polyester fabrics? The answer lies in their unique properties and the challenges posed by polyester’s hydrophobic nature. Disperse dyes are non-ionic, which means they do not dissolve in water but can be finely dispersed to ensure even coloration without the need for high solubility.
Things to Consider
Uniform Coloration: Achieving an even color spread on synthetic fibers requires dyes that can disperse well in the dye bath, which is precisely what disperse dyes offer.
Stability: These dyes are designed to adhere strongly to polyester fibers, ensuring that the color remains vibrant and does not wash out easily.
Trends in Dye Use
The textile industry is continually seeking ways to improve the environmental profile of dyes while maintaining their effectiveness. Eco-friendly disperse dyes that offer reduced water and energy usage are becoming increasingly popular spearheaded by companies like Colourinn, a leading Dispersing Agent supplier in India.
5 Understanding Heat Setting and Its Impact
After the dyeing process, ensuring that the color is fixed properly and the fabric properties are optimal is crucial. This is where heat setting comes into play, a post-dyeing process that stabilizes the dimensions of the polyester fabric and enhances its physical properties.
Dos and Don’ts:
Do use the appropriate temperature for heat setting, which typically ranges depending on the fabric’s specific requirements.
Don’t overlook the timing; precise control over the duration of heat exposure is vital to prevent damage to the fabric and ensure even color setting.
Key Benefits of Heat Setting
Improved Fabric Stability: Reduces the risk of shrinkage and ensures that the fabric maintains its shape and size.
Enhanced Color Fastness: Helps lock in the color, making the fabric more resistant to washing and sunlight.

Cheaply.
Watercolor sets made by Crayola. Acrylics made by Crayola. The brushes these kits come with are frustrating, cheap brushes are typically $3-5 each. You can spend as much as you want on a brush, the cheap ones are surprisingly good. This is extremely common advice, this isn't just from me.
When you find "ah I like this" go with a student grade of whichever you prefer. Or both! I find watercolor frustrating. I find acrylic doesn't look graphic as much as I want. I fell in love with a paint called gouache because it is very flat, layers nicely.
I would not start with oil paint. It is expensive, requires a lot of special care to keep you safe. Fumes, cleaning agents, etc. Fall in love with painting, then if you want, give oil a try. Be prepared for days (weeks, months, literally) for paint to dry. This isn't to scare you off it -- it's great -- but I wouldn't start here.
Oil has tremendous variety of things you can do with it.
Watercolor is ethereal.
Acrylic has great graphic qualities, lots of range.
I like gouache because it looks almost animated (there is a reason for that, it was/is used in animation background sometimes). It's tricky and tempermental.
Paint by numbers kits if you don't draw. Maybe even if you do and just want to dive into painting.
Mixed media sketchbooks. Lets you experiment a lot, cheaply. The big thing about sketchbook paper is it comes in a few forms -- very cheap (newsprint) and takes dry media (pencils, etc.) well, cheap (mixed media, lets you experiment quickly and a lot), and expensive (hot press has no texture, cold press has a texture).
Painting needs something that can get wet and not fall apart.
Start with a cheap mixed media sketchbook and see how you like it. Move on from there.
Ton of videos across lots of social media and much content. Has the advantage of multiple perspectives, you don't get trapped in "I think this is crap" or "This is the best" versus your thoughts.
Start cheaply.
Art stores and product manufacturers exist to make money. This is a neutral statement. The point is they are a store, they will sell you whatever you think you need, whether you need it or not.
Conversely!
Some things that are not universally useful but sold in art stores are great labor savers. Some people look down at disposable palette paper, others need the flexibility because they have a hard time washing palettes... etc.
Start cheaply. Look at hardware stores, lots of duplicate functions in items.
I come from a background of digital art and a lifetime of business where "ah where the BONES ARE WE GOING TO FIND MONEY FOR--"
Have fun.
Get in deep and frustrated and then drink the frustration (but not the paint water) because you realize you're frustrated because you can FEEL how it should look but you can't get there yet.
The journey is amazing.
I've started looking at the mountain of business problems I have been sorting through for the last few years.
"Okay. How is this supply chain issue with stationery compared to a painting I want to do of the piranha plants of Super Mario Brothers?"
This is literally something I asked myself.
It took me out of the problem (supply chain issue, boxes, our office size, the number of stationery items I want to design) and forced me to look at it as a painting (structure, where does it stay simple, where does it get complex -- what makes sense -- ah, PDF downloads).
Paint.
Learn by doing.
Start cheaply.
Keep going. Build up.

I was tagged by @megamindsecretlair @secretelephanttattoo @for-a-longlongtime and @lotusbxtch ❤️🖤💜💖
So I have been working on a few rotating projects 👀 None are done. 🤣 Such is Nerdie. lol
The first preview is for part four of "Our Journey Across the Star Ocean":
“Grogu is a part of the razor Crest, the same as me. I care for him deeply, as for Din. I don't know if I can give him everything he needs but I can try.” The leather on your gloves crinkle with the tightening of your fists, “I believe Din would do almost anything for my safety, as long as it didn’t compromise Grogu’s well-being. He’s…an honorable and good man.” You and the Armorer keep your gazes locked on each other. Din and Grogu stroll into the forge and see the two of you locked in an unspoken battle of wits they assume. The child starts waving his hands and tries to hop out of Din’s arms toward the two of you. Turning, you shake your head at his little green face. “Calm down little one. We’re fine. We were just discussing something. It’s okay.” Din tilts his helmet, unsure if you’re being entirely truthful. He’s well aware how intimidating the Armorer can be.
What sort of discussion did Din and Grogo walk in on? Who knows? 😄
The second is from chapter 6 of "Weddings 101 with Dieter":
“I feel like I’m watching a romance film right now. My, my…It looks like we won’t need to manufacture a real relationship between the two of you.” A woman of about five feet seven inches with auburn hair and matching butterfly tattoos on each arm. She wore a sleeveless navy blue slim fit dress with black red bottom heels. Her red tote bag swayed with her steps toward the couple. “Sorry to interrupt darlings, such a sweet moment, but we need to go ahead and decide how we want the chips to fall.” She smiled, patting Maya’s shoulder, studying her wet face. She was a pretty woman, sure plump. That didn’t matter much, what would matter is what these two decided to do. “My name is Vanessa. I’m the leader of Dieter’s PR team. Meet me downstairs when you two are dressed, don’t take too long. There’s much to discuss.” The fixer disappeared out of the room and back down the stairs to Zack, it looks like there was a lot he left out in his updates.
I have a few others that I dunno if I should post previous of so why not a poll!

Miami Vice S1E15: Golden Triangle, Part 2
Castillo learns his wife is still alive-- and in Miami.
Let me just start by saying: really getting the sense no one who worked on this show knew that there are multiple countries and cultures in Asia. I'll give them credit for it not being a standard 80's "the East frightens us in a capitalist way" TV show plot, but Castillo is like. A samurai? Who learned how to Samurai in... Thailand. His Thai wife and her new husband and the drug lord who brought them here all seem to have Chinese names, and I feel like somehow this is all supposed to be related to the Vietnam war. Also I'm pretty sure none of the actors in this episode are Thai. I... okay, Miami Vice. Not your best look.
The episode opens on what is apparently supposed to be a flashback to Thailand (but is definitely just Miami) set to Catch the Wind, but not the Donovan version. Castillo is in a speedo and Joan Chen is wet. It's extremely unclear that it's a flashback.
Crockett and Tubbs show up at Castillo's house and Tubbs examines his statue. Castillo explains what's going on and. And. And I'm gonna get into some Old Skool Fandom(TM) heresy here, but: I do not understand Castillo/Crockett when Castillo/Tubbs is right there. Sonny asks about how they can help transactionally ("you've done stuff for us before, we should do stuff for you"): Rico switches to Spanish and asks for Martin to let them in. Tubbs spends the whole episode with his eyes glued to Castillo, and is the one who notices when something is wrong first every time. Sonny barks at Castillo's enemies; Rico waits beside him, gently and persistently trying to get him to open up. Rico drives this whole episode, with Castillo sitting shotgun-- poor Sonny is relegated to the back. Tubbs is 100% ready for this to be Scary Boss Gets Tender With His One Employee Who Gives Him Space to Be Vulnerable and Sonny is still stuck on "the US government is corrupt sometimes."
Castillo tells Sonny and Rico to "call next time" before they show up at his house; they laugh as if he is making a joke. I do not think he is making a joke.
John Santucci is here as a corrupt official and he talks openly about how basically he's in charge of the flow of opium into poor urban communities in the US, and Sonny gets his 10-mile predator stare on. After Dale (Santucci) leaves, Crockett and Tubbs directly confirm with Castillo: so he's an American federal agent who is doing drug crime for profit? Also Miami Vice was just about speedboats and shoulderpads, right
Following up on that, when Castillo meets with Lao Li, the Thai drug lord who Dale is working with, Lao Li basically smiles and says he's not a criminal, just a capitalist, and that he's here to retire in Miami. But it's not political or anything
Of course they undercut this with Castillo saying something like "no it's not, it's Southeast Asia" when C&T say the whole drug thing is "nuts," and it's like. Really, Castillo? You think the problem is the region where economic circumstances created by the US necessitate the sale of drugs to the US? And not the US?
Peter Kwong is here as the shitty teen(?) grandson of the drug lord and there's a scene where he and another grandson literally snicker about how they're going to do SO much crime when Lao Li is like "no one do crime plz"
Castillo is positioned as having an unshakeable sense of duty and loyalty and honor, but when it comes down to it, his code of honor is not the code of honor he claims to be bound to. His sense of duty and the rules he follows are, in fact, rules he follows to the letter-- but they're personal, not societal. He tells Sonny he is a police officer and that he would not do vigilante justice, and then has an entire family and all their associates, including children, put under 24 hour police surveillance because he thinks maybe one of them might do crime eventually. He has nothing to actually get Lao Li arrested for, so he carefully manufactures a situation where Lao Li's hand is forced into killing. What Castillo says (and he doesn't generally say a lot) and does often don't match up, but he's incredibly forceful and convincing. Lao Li recognizes this-- he points out that they're much the same and that he shares great respect for him-- but it's very easy as an audience to be convinced that Castillo is significantly less morally grey than he is. He is absolutely loyal and bound to a code of honor-- but it's the code of honor of a gangster, not the law.
Lao Li definitely tries to play the "maybe this could be an enemies to lovers story wink wink" at the end there and Castillo is like "enemies is good"
My stunning wife Joan Chen is the most beautiful woman on earth and Castillo should've just been like "do you want two husbands." I think Ma Sek would've been into it. And maybe then he wouldn't have gotten involved in crime and Heart of the Night (in which both his actor and Joan Chen are replaced anyway-- Ma Sek's actor is literally replaced with James Saito who plays a different character in this fucking episode) wouldn't have happened
Did we all know John Santucci was a jewel thief before he became an actor? And that he became a thief again when apparently no one other than Michael Mann wanted to hire him? Because I did not

Whumptober Day Four: Cattle Prod | Shock | "You in there?"
The Danger Written In Your Eyes
[AO3]
Danny Phantom, Danny-Centric, Slavery, Starvation, Dehydration, Murder, Hurt no Comfort, Shocks, Cannibalism, Unreliable Narrator, Blood and Injury, Words: 2997
Danny tiredly lifted the crate, his body begging him to rest. He couldn't though not being allowed to.
The agent watching them must have seen him as he struggled to move though, taking it as a sign to stab him with the cattle prod, or "ghost prod" as they called it.
"Stop being lazy, ghost." She sneered, spitting out the word "ghost" as if it were a disease, watching with disgust as his body shook in pain. He bit his tongue to stop himself from telling her that it wasn't "laziness" that was slowing him down, but him growing increasingly worn out from the constant work. They didn't believe him the last time he said it, the idiots thinking that it was impossible for ghosts to get tired, and there was no point in trying to make them see reason.
He hated those shocks. They reminded him of the electricity that ran through him during the incident in the portal, what killed him halfway. It was that day that eventually led him here, to be captured by the GIW and forced into slavery. He grit his teeth and continued moving, blinking away the tears wetting his eyes. He wouldn't cry here, he wouldn't give that satisfaction to these monsters.
He wished he wasn't here, and hoped that somebody would save him soon. That hope was dwindling, having already lost track of the days he was imprisoned here. It's been somewhere close to a month, maybe two, perhaps even longer, and he could feel himself beginning to break.
The white walls reflecting the bright florescent lights above burnt his eyes, causing him to have a constant headache. They never fed them or gave them water here, something seen as unnecessary for them, none of them living. Well mostly, he was the only one alive, or half alive. He needed those things, and he could feel his human half withering without them, causing his ghost side to become weak.
He wondered how much longer he could take before he was truly dead, or a walking corpse if his ghost half couldn't die again. He couldn't transform back into a human, the shackles on him prevented him from using any of his powers, but it also forced him to give it ectoplasm to stay charged. Whenever he tried to turn into a human, the rings slowly climbing his body, the cuffs would feel the lack of ectoplasm and shock him. Although his human side did produce ectoplasm, it wasn't nearly as much as his ghost side, and any decrease caused the cuffs to go crazy. It hurt worse than the hot sticks the agents loved to use, so he never tried to transform again.
Not like he really wanted to now. He didn't want to see how terrible his human half looked. How thin his frame would be, cheeks hollow, eyes sunken and empty. He could imagine how much pain he'd be in, only to be drowned out by his exhaustion. He'd probably pass out, if he didn’t fully die right then and there. The thought of it made him shiver. He could already taste death, and it wasn't sweet, he already danced with it before.
He huffed, placing down the crate of ectoplasm powered weapons on top of another crate. He grimaced looking at it, knowing exactly what they were for. He had overheard the guards speaking about how the GIW was finally getting some "well deserved" recognition. That with ghosts becoming more of a problem, they were getting a lot more funding to deal with it. They didn't know that it was because Danny was stuck here and couldn't stop the ghosts, and he didn't bother to tell them. It's not like they'd listen.
With this new amount of funding they were finally able to start up a manufacturing company to make anti-ghost weapons on a whole new scale. They were even discussing whether they should begin selling the weapons to the public. Something that Danny wanted to argue against.
If everybody had weapons against ghosts, the ghosts peacefully roaming wouldn't last very long. Eventually they'd also build up a sort of army, something that the Infinite Realms would take seriously, which could lead to war. A war that the Earth couldn't win. One that'd devastate even the winners, the Infinite Realms holding Earth may collapse from the damage. After that, they'd all cease to exist. It'd be a terrible chain of events, suffering on every side.
They didn't understand that. None of them did, no matter how many times he tried to explain. They'd always scoff and assume Danny was telling them this because he was trying to protect his own species, being a ghost. If only they knew he was trying to protect his own species, being a human.
He couldn't tell them that. He didn't have proof, not being able to change into a human, and they'd never dare to take the shackles keeping him there off. They wouldn't believe a word he said. Even if they did, it'd probably cause them to become more curious with him than to actually listen to his warning. They'd hide him, keeping him under secure government lockdown so they could experiment with him, ignoring the laws they're supposed to enforce.
His life really did suck at the moment, and as his limited time ticked down, he was beginning to become desperate. He couldn't stay here. Not if he wanted to keep what part of him was alive. Not if he wanted to keep the people he cared about safe. Not if he wanted to keep the realm he lived in.
It seemed like he had no other choice.
"Hey! I told you to quit being lazy, you damned gh-!"
Danny didn't allow the woman to finish her sentence, snatching the cattle prod from her hand, stopping her from using it. He didn't hesitate whenever he turned the cattle prod around, shocking her with it instead. He wrapped a hand around her mouth to keep her from screaming. He didn't flinch whenever the electricity ran through him too, already knowing it was coming, watching with blank eyes as the woman thrashed in his hold.
Moments later the woman quit moving entirely, and he didn't when he carelessly tossed her on the ground. The other ghosts around him stared with shocked expressions, and before they could break out of it Danny raised a single finger, silently telling them to be quiet. Few nodded in fear, others still too surprised to do anything but stare. Most ghosts hardly ever take lives, majority knowing from personal experience how it felt whenever life drained from them. He'd never wanted to take a life either, having experienced both death and being brought back, but he didn't have a choice. They didn't give him a choice.
He walked away, hearing how his shackles beep in warning as he strayed from the path designed just for ghosts. He ignored it until he was behind the crates, out of view from the others. He balled up the white sleeve of the jacket he was forced into, stuffing it in his mouth. He took a deep breath from his nose, trying to calm his nerves, before taking the cattle prod and sticking it to the cuff.
His screams were muffled by the sleeve, and his body lurched forward from pain. He kept on though, wanting the shackle off. He'd endure the pain, he had to, he had no other choice.
Electricity always felt worse for him than others. After all, reminding a ghost of their death was always painful, his physically so. Flashes of his time in the portal threatened to surface, but he pushed them back. He couldn't think of that now, couldn't allow himself to be distracted. If he did he'd let go of the stick, and then he'd have to do this all over again.
After what felt like forever, but was most likely less than a minute, the cuffs fell off. The electricity was too much for the cuffs. He immediately threw down the stick, breathing heavily, tears peeking out from the corner of his eyes. His whole body felt numb, and from where his sleeve was raised up a bit he could see how his scars glowed. He roughly pulled the sleeve back down, and leaned against the crates.
That's when he felt an overwhelming wave of exhaustion pass through him, bringing panic with it. His body was trying to transform, his ghost half spent now, and he couldn't let that happen. He fought the rings that threatened to climb up his body, his face scrunched from the amount of concentration it took. With him being halfway fried he couldn't think of much, feeling numbed in a way he hoped wouldn't be permanent.
Eventually he won the battle, his ghost half no longer trying to fade. He knew that it wouldn't last long, that he would soon be forced to face his living half, or what remained of it. He groaned, pulling himself to stand. He didn't turn around back to the other ghosts still trapped, or the woman he mercilessly killed and dropped to the floor. This was his chance, so he had no other choice other than to finally leave the place. Something he should have done weeks ago, but was too afraid to do, with too many ghosts he didn't want to leave behind.
He wasn't afraid anymore, he proved that, the stiff corpse on the ground still there. He'd come back for the ghosts, and they'd all burn the place down, or…
They could just burn it now.
His face broke out into a grin, pain and exhaustion forgotten, as he turned back around.
If he truly wasn't afraid he'd take them down now, show the idiots who trapped him and everyone else here that they shouldn't have. They'd regret ever doing so, any peaceful negotiations be damned. He was tired of being the "hero", as much as he was tired of being titled the "villain". He could be both right now, and he'd show them how blurry that line really was.
In the back of his mind, the part of him still stuck in the past, before being captured, begged him to just leave. That one life was already too much, that he shouldn't claim any more. His present self drowned that quiet voice, knowing that he had no other choice. One life wasn't enough anymore.
After that it was much more blurry, stuffing his consciousness deep inside and allowing logical thinking and actions to drive him forward. He couldn't feel anything, his emotions other than anger all an afterthought. This left him as the brutal being that the GIW was forced to fight, a Danny they've never seen before. A more cunning version, no longer held back by fear of harming others. He easily tore through the agency with the help of the other ghosts he freed, even with the many who simply escaped, not wanting to either kill others or possibly be in Danny’s way of doing so, however some felt the same as he did. They knew there was no longer another choice.
The GIW was just as lackluster and stupid as before, and Danny couldn't help but wonder how he got caught in the first place. It must be from how he never truly tried to hurt them. Now that he wasn't holding back, they understood how severely they underestimated him. There was a reason he could keep all other ghosts from destroying the world, and it wasn't because he was weak.
He left the government facility, the warmth of the flames comforting on his cold damp skin. He was soaked in blood, most of it starting to dry, though his footprints remained bloody as he walked further from the building. The ghosts beside him slowly began to disperse, some thanking Danny for saving them, others leaving silently. He didn't talk to any of them, and he blamed the shocks he put himself through earlier for the way he still felt numb.
His mind was still blank as he used what little remaining power he had left to go invisible and lift his body into the air, leaving after all the other ghosts did, no longer feeling responsible for them. He returned home, or what should have been home, but after being gone for so long he felt distant. Perhaps it wasn't the town that didn't feel like home, but the feeling of him no longer belonging there. He did belong there though, so he ignored that possibility.
He tried to make it into his house, to find Jazz and tell her everything that happened so she could help him, but he didn't make it that far. He was flying, until he wasn't, crashing right in front of his house. He barely lifted himself from the ground, resting shakily on his elbows, as he stared at the house in front of him. He reached out with a hand, willing to crawl there if he had to, but his invisibility flickered as well.
He froze, knowing that if his parents saw him as a ghost they wouldn't hesitate to shoot him.
He felt sick thinking about that, or maybe it was the fact that his human half was bleeding through his ghost half. It didn't matter, as he knew that his parents were just as bad as the GIW, and he couldn't have that. He just escaped one prison, he couldn't stay in another.
With that thought he knew what he'd have to do. He stood up, no longer having to keep the rings from rising up his body, newfound determination driving him to continue. Ghosts were made of emotions, and if the only thing he felt at the moment was his need to accomplish what had to be done, then his core would respond.
He'd get rid of his parents, then he could truly be home. What other choice did he have? It was because of them that he didn't feel like he could live there.
He let himself fall back into the same mind state he was back at the agency, dragging his body into the house. With silent feet he found himself in his parents room, sleeping soundly. His eye twitched, not understanding how they could be so peaceful when their son was trapped in a government building. He was never allowed to sleep a wink, and yet they probably slept every night.
He'd sleep after this, in a bed of his own.
What happened next he didn't know, he came back to reality with blood dripping from his hands. His face was covered in his parents blood as well, and he didn't want to think about why his stomach no longer ached.
He left the room, staining the carpet beneath him as he walked to Jazz's room. He didn't knock on the door, entering it without the permission he'd usually ask for. His sister would forgive him, too elated by his surprise return.
What he didn't expect was to be shot squarely in the chest by a gun, his sister's eyes widening with shock. He fell back against the door, sliding down to the floor, covering the hole in his body. If he had enough energy his ghost half would have already healed it, but as he was he watched disinterested as it simply bled.
"Danny? Oh God– Danny is that you?" He looked back up to his sister hurriedly rushing to his side. She kneeled down, her hands hovering over his own that were holding the wound on his chest. She gasped, tears falling down her cheeks. "No– Danny I'm so sorry. I didn't know it was you, I– I– you were gone for so long."
Danny didn't say anything as her eyes fully took him in, his own eyes void of emotion. "You in there, Danny, are you– are you okay? I know that's a stupid question, considering I just shot you. But you're covered in blood, and I heard screaming– I swear it sounded like Mom and Dad. What happened?"
"It's not my blood." Was all he said in response, moving to stand back up. He couldn't transform back now, he'd need a lot of ectoplasm to fully heal back. He'd visit the Ghost Zone and recover. If he doesn't, he'll turn back into a human and immediately die. His body finally seemed to understand his resistance to turn back, as it didn't bother trying to force him again.
Jazz gently put hands on his shoulders, not allowing him to get up, he didn’t fight against her caring touches. "Don't move too much, you'll strain your injury and only get yourself more hurt. Wait– what do you mean it's not your blood?"
"My blood is green." He answered, as if it should be obvious, raising his hand to show her the toxic green hole in his body. She winced looking at it, her head quickly turning elsewhere, swallowing the bile rising in her throat
She took a deep breath and looked back over, relieved that Danny had covered the wound again. She looked into her little brother's eyes, a shiver going down her spine from the lack of anything in his eyes. What exactly happened to him, to her silly and awkward teen brother, who would be defiant to any "mother henning' she'd do?
She gulped, noticing how around those blank eyes were drying blood, a shade of dark red. She felt dread bubble deep in her stomach. "Danny, who's blood is that?"
She tried to ask him calmly, but her voice cracked at the end, showing her desperation. Desperate to be told anything else than what she was thinking, for her thoughts to be proved wrong.
Danny blinked, and his unusual dull green eyes never looked away from hers. "I had no other choice."
Her blood ran cold, much like the blood on her little brother's body.

Why is Jess so terrible at snowboarding? She surfs right? I mean according to what she portrays on her Instagram she's a total surfer girl with all the gear and the board and whatever else. She also was (or is?) some athletic fitness queen, isn't she? We're going by what she posts on her Instagram here and what she portrays.
She's a woman who portrays herself as this super ultra-athletic person. She's always wearing that sports stuff, running gear, bathing suits, and wet suits a few times. Earlier on in her IG "career" she was all about marathon running, pilates, yoga, strength training, health, and exercise. She continued it up until the present day with how she's presented herself on social media this entire time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Someone like that shouldn't be spending literal days on bunny slopes going so slow. Someone like that, as she's portrayed herself, should be far more adept and have less of a learning curve than the average person. Her balance and strength should be off the charts if she surfs with Jamie all the time on the beach (as she seems to want people to think). She's also been snowboarding more than once yet all we ever see are these extremely lame ass videos of her doing anything where she's intermediate level at best.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of this should be a huge red flag to everyone to signal that Jess isn't anything she claims to be or portrays herself as on social media. That's not to say I think social media is real life, I've been over this before, I already know people use social media to portray the best parts of themselves or what they want people to see/think. Is it surprising that she's completely manufactured this "sporty image" and it's all a lie? No, not to me it isn't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, any of her stans who want to defend her for whatever reason they do it should take this into consideration. A woman who portrays herself like Jess does (and has for years) shouldn't be nearly as awful at snowboarding as she clearly is. After a few hours (or a day or so) of warming up and getting on the slopes, she should be able to keep up with what Jamie is doing. He takes long breaks from it as well (probably longer than her) and he's immediately back into it basically the moment he arrives. Meanwhile, she's stuck on the beginner and intermediate hills the entire trip? Does this seem at all like the sporty athlete woman Jess makes herself out to be?
Just like everything else she pretends she is on social media:
Talent Manager
PR Agent
Marketing expert
Model
Editor
Photographer
Chef
Painter
Fashionista
Domestic violence counselor
It's all just fake. She hasn't proven she can really do any of this stuff. Yet not one of her stans seems to realize that the red flags are all there, on her social media. How hard is it to see past this obvious lie she's built out of her life?

Surfactants: The Key Players in Controlling Foam and Emulsion in Oilfield Operations
Surfactants, or surface-active agents, are chemicals used to efficiently mix different substances by lowering their surface tension.  Imperial Oilfield Chemicals is a leading Surfactant manufacturer in India.  These versatile chemicals have several applications, including the oil and gas business, the pharmaceutical industry, the agricultural industry, and the personal care industry.  Imperial Oilfield Chemicals is unparalleled in its ability to manufacture surfactants.
Tumblr media
Types of Surfactants:
In order to maximise oil recovery and streamline other processes, surfactants are an integral aspect of the oilfield.  These surfactants fall into various groups due to their varied chemical compositions and applications.  The following surfactants are commonly used in the oil and gas industry:
Anionic Surfactants
Cationic Surfactants
Nonionic Surfactants
Amphiphilic Surfactants
Biosurfactants
Synergistic Surfactant Blends
When choosing a surfactant for a particular oilfield operation, keep in mind the reservoir's characteristics, the fluid's composition, and the desired outcomes.  A seasoned Surfactant supplier in Morocco, like Imperial Oilfield Chemicals, can provide the technical expertise and industry knowledge necessary to meet the needs of the oil and gas sector.
The Role of Surfactants in Oilfield Operations?
Surfactants have various applications in the oil industry and can considerably improve efficiency, oil recovery, and the quality of the final product.  As a noteworthy Surfactant manufacturer in India, Imperial Oilfield Chemicals understands the importance of these compounds to the oil and gas industries.
Surfactants are helpful in the oil business because they reduce the interfacial tension between oil, water, and solid surfaces.  The efficiency with which oil is displaced from reservoir rocks is increased.  By decreasing interfacial tension, surfactants allow water-based fluids to effectively penetrate and sweep across the reservoir, mobilisation stored oil.
Imperial Oilfield Chemicals is a trusted Surfactant exporter in Morocco.  Their choice of surfactants facilitates efficient oil-water separation, inhibits corrosion, and stabilises emulsions.
Advantages of using Surfactants in Oilfield Operations:
The oil and gas industry uses surfactants because of the many advantages they bring to oilfield operations.  Surfactant exporter in Morocco, Imperial Oilfield Chemicals, is well aware of these benefits and produces high-quality surfactants to meet the expectations of the industry worldwide.
The ability of surfactants to reduce the tackiness of oil, water, and solids is a major perk.  Oil can be recovered more efficiently from reservoir rocks due to its high grade.  More oil can be retrieved from the ground when surfactants are used to increase reservoir penetration and sweep.
Additionally, surfactants stabilise emulsions, which facilitates the separation of oil and water.  This is especially helpful in oil-water separation and demulsification, where surfactants facilitate the attainment of clean and separated phases.
Wetting agents, such as surfactants, let drilling fluids better adhere to reservoir rocks.  This attribute improves drilling productivity, reduces the frequency of issues like pipe sticking, and fortifies wellbore stability.
The Key Players in Controlling Foam and Emulsion in Oilfield Operations:
Imperial Oilfield Chemicals, a leading Surfactant manufacturer in India and a reliable Surfactant exporter and supplier in Morocco offers efficient methods for controlling foam and emulsion in oil production.
Foam Control:  Surfactants can be used to control foam because they reduce surface tension and make foam bubbles less stable.  When surfactants are introduced into a foaming system, a thin layer forms at the air-liquid interfaces, disrupting the integrity of the bubbles.
Emulsion Control:  By altering the interfacial properties of the oil and water, surfactants control the emulsion.  Adsorption can reduce the interfacial tension between the oil and water, preventing the formation of stable emulsion droplets.  Destabilising the emulsion with surfactants allows the oil and water phases to agglomerate and separate.
Innovative surfactants from Imperial Oilfield Chemicals can be used to control foam and emulsion, leading to greater production efficiency, less equipment downtime, and better overall operational performance.  Premium goods are always on hand at Imperial Oilfield Chemicals so that they can meet the needs of the Moroccan oil and gas industry.
Final Thoughts:
Surfactants are the oil industry's unsung heroes because of their role in controlling foam and emulsion.  Their unique qualities and roles cause a reduction in surface tension, a destabilisation of foam bubbles, and a modification of the interfacial properties of oil and water.  Because of Imperial Oilfield Chemicals' status as a major Surfactant manufacturer in India, the oil and gas industry in Morocco has profited from the company's specific surfactant solutions.
Modern surfactants from Imperial Oilfield Chemicals (ICPL) improve oil and water separation, reduce foam, and improve fluid flow for oilfield firms.  Since the capacity of surfactants to control foam and emulsion is critical to the effectiveness and efficiency of oilfield operations, they continue to play an important role in the oil and gas sector.  When it comes to providing solutions that improve oil and gas sector productivity, safety, and quality of service, Imperial Oilfield Chemicals' specific surfactant skills and comprehensive experience are invaluable.

Chapter 8: Storytime
“Scarlet!” Seven called, and then his arms were around her, his body slamming into her as the sound of the gun firing filled her ears.
“V, what the fuck?” Saeran all-but-screamed. “You know how important she is to the Savior’s plan!”
“She stopped being important the moment she left the apartment, Ray, and you know that.”
Scarlet’s head was ringing. Who was Ray? Was Saeran Ray? They’d called him that earlier…  She barely heard his next argument past Seven’s hiss of pain.
“But I chose her.”
Jaena reached out and helped Seven sit up, and blinked. Her hand was wet. Why was— Fuck. Seven’s bleeding. It had been years since she’d had to deal with anything more than routine blood. A gunshot wound… it wasn’t going to be good.  But he was going to be alright, because he was still protecting her, even though he was injured. That meant he had to be fine, right?
As she was thinking that, the sound of tires on the gravel alerted her to the arrival of a car, followed quickly by Vanderwood’s voice. “Zero Seven, Red!” Jaena met his eyes over Seven’s shoulder, and didn’t like the look on his face. She was never going to hear the end of this, she knew, but she couldn’t even bring herself to say words. She was terrified. This was why she was a hacker, damn it, not some kind of secret agent. She wasn’t cut out for this kind of drama.
Saeran was taking all of V’s attention with his argument, but it wouldn’t be long before others came because of the sound of the gunshot. Jaena stood while Vanderwood was helping Seven up, and when he barked at her to get into the car, she climbed into the back where she had been, and then helped him get Seven in and buckled. Seven looked practically gray, his teeth grit in pain. She opened her mouth to say something just in time to see Saeran punch V in the face, and turn worriedly to the car.
“Twin, get in the damn car.” Vanderwood called, and Saeran obeyed, slipping into the passenger seat and pulling the door shut as Vanderwood stepped on the gas. Jaena turned to look out the back window just in time to see a woman with blonde hair run out the front door, gun in hand.
“Duck.” Vanderwood said, and she did as she was told, one hand on Seven’s head out of reflex as several shots pinged off the body of the car.
“I thought bullets would go through a car body.” Jaena said, suddenly questioning what she knew about vehicle manufacture.
“They will, unless it’s armored.” Seven muttered. “Why else are we in Vanderwood’s car?” He practically fell over onto her lap as they sped out of range of the shooter. “I’m just gonna lay here, ok?”
“Of course it’s okay, silly.” Jaena pet his head, and turned to look at his injury. The bullet had hit his arm, just grazing along from the middle of his forearm to his elbow. It looked really painful, but not life-threatening.
“Hey, Vandy?” Jaena asked quietly. “When can we get Seven some help for this?”
“I’ve got a spot relatively nearby we’ll go hole up.” Vanderwood said, his voice tight. “I’ve got first aid supplies there.”
Tumblr media
The cabin was a simple thing, on a lake. It would have been an ideal little mountain getaway if one was looking for something like that. In their case it was clean, neat, and modern enough to not cause any inconveniences. Vanderwood had Jaena heat up water while he got Seven sat up on the kitchen counter and the rest of the first aid supplies prepared. Seven looked tired, and Jaena winced as Vanderwood cut away the sleeve of Seven’s hoodie.  She knew he had backups, but it was a little like cutting away his identity.
“This is going to be a bit rough for you.” Vanderwood said to her, as he helped Seven out of the ruined garments. “You should go lay down for a bit. Eat a snack. You’re looking a bit pale.”
Jaena just shook her head. Clearly her willingness to follow directions without question evaporated with the immediate danger. “No. He got hurt saving me. The least I can do is be here to help.”
“Cute, but unnecessary.” Vanderwood said. “He’ll be fine. Go lay down.”
“I said no.” Jaena said, moving around to the other side of Seven and taking his free hand. She was definitely not eyeing the muscles that had been hiding under his habit of wearing baggy clothes. Nope. Definitely not.
Seven sighed. “He wants to yell at me.” he said, catching Jaena’s eye. “I shouldn’t have gotten hurt. I let my guard down too soon.”
“Oh, so you’re aware that you fucked up? Good.” Vanderwood said, sighing. “Look, Red, you can stay, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“Where’s Saeran?” Seven asked suddenly turning to look for his twin.
“Right here.” Saeran said, stepping into the kitchen. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. I haven’t anywhere else to go at this point anyway.”
Vanderwood started cleaning Seven’s wound, and Jaena felt him squeeze her hand, and was instantly glad she hadn’t left him alone. Sure, she was hyper-aware of how his hand felt in hers given that he was half naked next to her, but it was worth it.
“Hey Unknown.” Jaena said, catching his eye and watching his eyes harden in reaction. “How about you tell us your story. We know Seven’s. We’d love to hear what actually happened to you, since we know that everything they told Seven was fake. Or I would, at least. Shouldn’t talk for them.”
Saeran paused, looked at the set of Seven’s jaw, and then sighed. “Fine. But… don’t interrupt me.”
Jaena nodded and mimed zipping her lips closed.
“You either, twin.”
“I won’t. I -ow- I promise.” Seven said, wincing.
Saeran nodded, and started talking. Quiet at first, but with more intensity as he went on.
“It was at least a week after you were gone. Mother… she started making me do the errands you were supposed to do. She was certain you were dead.  I was out of the house one morning to go pick something up for her, and I was kidnapped.  They put a bag over my head, and knocked me out - when I woke up, I was in the dungeons in the basement of Magenta. I haven’t left the grounds except for very specific missions since. Getting the princess to the apartment was the first time I was ever given my own time to handle something outside of Magenta, and well, you can see how well that turned out.”
Jaena felt the impulse to tell him he’d done a good job getting her to go where he wanted, that it wasn’t his fault, but she’d promised not to interrupt, and the commentary wasn’t worth breaking her word. Saeran shook his head as if to clear the cobwebs, and continued.
“Anyway, I begged and begged to be let go, because I knew if I was late getting home Mother would be unhappy. But instead, they fed me a drug. They called it a “Cleansing.” All I know is it tasted how I expected battery acid would taste, and burned, I felt like I was burning up from the inside out. They kept telling me it was paradise, that I would be happy there, made new. Eventually Rika and V showed up, and they told me all about how you’d abandoned me, and that they were going to take care of me now, and that I’d be safe with them. I wasn’t, though, and it was… not a place I would willingly bring a child, ever.”
There was a hissing sound, and Jaena looked over to where Vanderwood was spraying something on the wound, and she recognized it as a topical anesthetic. The wound needed stitches then, looked like. She took a glance at Seven, but he was focused entirely on his twin. Saeran, of course, was continuing his story.
“V taught me how to hack, told me he was going to turn me into a better hacker than you ever were. Rika told me over and over again how you abandoned me.  For a long time, they fed me that drug every day. They told me it was something I needed to be strong, and I believed them, because I had always been the weaker of the two of us. I always needed you to protect me. I don’t know if it was because of the drug, but losing you like that broke something in me.  It separated the me that was hurt and sad from the me that had to deal with the world every day.  I wasn’t any stronger, but I was different. That was about the time they introduced me to the rest of Mint Eye, as their son Ray. I knew it wasn’t right, but I was so desperate to be loved and accepted that I just took that in as part of me. This new me, this new face, I was Ray, and Saeran was the broken one that stayed hidden in my mind. It… kept happening. I lost track of time a lot, and I wasn’t the hacker they wanted me to be.  Eventually they stopped giving me the drug, but it was too late then. I didn’t even recognize myself in the mirror, my hair is this white mess now, and my eyes… I feel like I don’t even deserve to be called your twin anymore.”
Seven opened his mouth as if to argue, and shut it. They’d promised not to interrupt, and Seven took his promises seriously. Jaena thought he probably could have gotten away with it just this once, but she respected his resolve.
“After that, I got better, and they took me seriously. When I asked about the ‘medicine’ they told me that I was strong now and didn’t need it. I didn’t feel strong all the time. In fact, Ray didn’t feel strong at all. He felt like a pathetic airhead, and even I couldn’t talk him out of it. For his part, core Saeran just stayed inside and thought about all the bad things that happened so that none of the rest of us needed to. Unknown… he does the things the rest of us don’t want to deal with. Like core Saeran but outward facing. And then there’s me, regular old Saeran. The one you expect to talk to, I guess.”
“Multiple Personalities?” Vanderwood said, a needle between his teeth making his words slightly muffled. Jaena turned a glare on him, but he didn’t look at her, and just as fast she realized that Vanderwood never promised not to interrupt. She smirked.
“Yeah I guess? The internet says it’s DID. Dissociative Identity Disorder. I just know there’s more than one of me in here at this point, and we trade off who’s in charge of the meat. And… we really only happened when things were especially bad.  I think Rika knew she broke me, because she kept trying to do things that would ‘fix’ me. Put me back together into just one Saeran.  That’s just not going to happen, though. It’d hurt more than it would help at this point. That’s what I was dealing with just before you all arrived.”
Well, that explains what he said when I mentioned the whole Unknown vibe being different. Jaena thought. He didn’t need her peanut gallery commentary, though, so she kept her mouth shut.
“So, I started questioning their plans. Not out loud, of course, I wasn’t suicidal. One day, I was going through Rika’s files, and found a lot of incoming money and no record of where it was going. I knew we were targeting rich people for a reason, but not why, other than usual cult bullshit.” He paused. “Yes, I am aware Mint Eye is a cult. Moving on. Later I found out that money was going to pay off our father so he would leave the both of us alone. It’s how I learned they knew where you were and were keeping it from me. Any time I asked if they’d found you, they just said that you’d abandoned me and I needed to stop looking. Clearly, that was a lie, especially when they had me start looking into the RFA, in order to get the party guests into Mint Eye. Then came getting the information out of the apartment. I said I could just go, but they said no, this was a test of my skills, that I needed to get an outsider into the RFA so they’d host parties again, and we’d get more guests that way, too.”
Saeran caught her eye, but looked away, a light blush coloring his cheeks.
“They told me to choose carefully, because whoever I chose would be mine after the plan was finished. And even after everything, I just wanted someone to actually care about me so badly, I never really considered what I was doing. And then there you were, Jaena. Perfect for so many reasons. I hope you can forgive me for dragging you into this.”
Jaena nodded. “I’ll work on it. It’s definitely a lot, and I don’t like being thought of as an object, but I’ll try.”
Saeran visibly relaxed at that, and Jaena realized just how much her opinion mattered to him, but also just how much his comfort in this situation mattered to Seven, and if she were being honest, to her.
“I’m sure I don’t have to tell you all this, but he was spitting truth the entire time.” Vanderwood said, closing the first aid kit with a snap. “Zero Seven, you’re done. Go put on a shirt, we’ll get you into a sling, and then we need to get moving again.”
Seven squeezed her hand and then hopped off the counter. If he walked a little closer to her than he needed to as he passed by to go get a shirt from Vanderwood’s stash, well, she wasn’t complaining.
Vanderwood made himself scarce packing things up, and Jaena took the opportunity to walk over to Saeran, who was still leaning against the kitchen wall, staring at nothing.
“Hey, Unknown?” She said, when she walked up. He looked up at her. “I don’t hate you.” she said quietly. “I’m scared. A lot is happening, but I don’t blame you for doing what you needed to do to survive.  Can you try to extend a little bit of that trust to Seven, too?”
“Yeah. I can tell he’s… not what they told me. Which I should have guessed, given that everything else they’ve told me has been complete garbage.”
“Thank you. Um. Should I call you Saeran?”
“Please. I mean, he likes that you call out to him, but it’s less confusing if you just use our collective name.”
“Okay then. Do you want a hug? You look like you need a hug.”
Saeran nodded, and if his eyes looked a little misty, well, Jaena wasn’t about to comment on it. She stepped forward into his personal space, and wrapped her arms around him, smiling slightly as he held her tight for just a moment before releasing her so she could step back.
“Hey, I’m the injured one, do I get hugs?” Seven said from the other side of the kitchen, and Jaena turned, excited for an excuse to hug Seven, only to watch Saeran walk across the kitchen and carefully put his arms around his twin. She wanted to be jealous, but really, seeing them not at each other’s throats was just heartwarming.
Seeing Seven standing there in a sleeveless shirt seemed weird and wrong. Sure, she’d seen it other times, but this wasn’t even bedtime Seven, it was normal everyday Seven. Luckily, she had just the solution for this. Walking past the bonding twins, Jaena grabbed her bag from where she’d set it when they walked into the cabin, and dug down to the bottom. She’d done as she was told, and packed something warmer, since even summer nights in the mountains could get cool. Pulling it out, she snapped out the folds, gathering everyone’s attention at the sharp sound.
“Oh. Sorry for startling you, I just figured Seven might be a little cold with no sleeves, so…”
Seven’s eyes were damp. “You brought a spare hoodie? How? Why?”
“Well, Vanderwood told me to pack something warm just in case, so… I packed the hoodie of yours that I’d been wearing… I didn’t really have warm clothes otherwise…”
Suddenly, she felt awkward about all of it, but still held out the hoodie so Seven could slip his non-sling arm into the sleeve, and draped the other half over his shoulder.
“There. Now you’re my proper Seven again.”
Seven smiled, and seemed to relax, except that his cheeks were pink.
“Now, you get a hug from me, injured boy.”  She wrapped her arms around him, careful to avoid his injury, and squeezed. “Gonna tell me why you’re blushing?” she teased, whispering in his ear to avoid Vanderwood’s heckling.
“The hoodie smells like you.” Seven responded just as quietly. “I didn’t realize how nice you smelled, and now I’m surrounded by it. It’s like this hug will never end.”
“Okay, you two. Break it up and get back in the car. We’ve got ground to cover yet before we can sleep.” Vanderwood grumbled at them from the doorway.
As they made their way back to the car, Jaena was the one blushing.

Note
Sulfuric acid (American spelling and the preferred IUPAC name) or sulphuric acid (Commonwealth spelling), known in antiquity as oil of vitriol, is a mineral acid composed of the elements sulfur, oxygen and hydrogen, with the molecular formula H2SO4. It is a colorless, odorless and viscous liquid that is miscible with water.[6]
Pure sulfuric acid does not exist naturally on Earth due to its strong affinity to water vapor; it is hygroscopic and readily absorbs water vapor from the air.[6] Concentrated sulfuric acid is highly corrosive towards other materials, from rocks to metals, since it is an oxidant with powerful dehydrating properties. Phosphorus pentoxide is a notable exception in that it is not dehydrated by sulfuric acid, but to the contrary dehydrates sulfuric acid to sulfur trioxide. Upon addition of sulfuric acid to water, a considerable amount of heat is released; thus the reverse procedure of adding water to the acid should not be performed since the heat released may boil the solution, spraying droplets of hot acid during the process. Upon contact with body tissue, sulfuric acid can cause severe acidic chemical burns and even secondary thermal burns due to dehydration.[7][8] Dilute sulfuric acid is substantially less hazardous without the oxidative and dehydrating properties; however, it should still be handled with care for its acidity.
Sulfuric acid is a very important commodity chemical, and a nation's sulfuric acid production is a good indicator of its industrial strength.[9][non-primary source needed] It is widely produced with different methods, such as contact process, wet sulfuric acid process, lead chamber process and some other methods.[10] Sulfuric acid is also a key substance in the chemical industry. It is most commonly used in fertilizer manufacture,[11] but is also important in mineral processing, oil refining, wastewater processing, and chemical synthesis. Did You Know the Non-Newtonian Fluid can be made from Corn Starch?
Starch processed from corn or maize is known by its derivative name, corn starch or maize starch. The starch obtained in this way originates in the kernel's endosperm. Corn starch, commonly known as corn flour, is frequently used to thicken liquids like soups and sauces. It's a key ingredient in the production of corn syrup and other types of sugar.
Tumblr media
The by-product of maize processing, corn starch (or corn flour) is used in a wide variety of foods and other items. It is a carbohydrate that is refined from corn kernels. It comes in powder form and has a white colour. It has numerous applications in the home, kitchen, and kitchens of various businesses. The most common application for maize starch is as a thickener in various dishes such as stews, sauces, pies, soups, glazes, casseroles, and much more.
Corn starch manufactured and supplied by the most prevalent as well as reputed Corn Starch distributor in Ajman - Palvi Chemicals, does not contain gluten and can be substituted for flour in many recipes that call for a thickening. In order to reap the full benefits of corn starch, it is crucial to understand how to use it properly. Here are some suggestions and advice for preserving and employing corn starch.
Manufacturing:
To begin extracting corn starch, corn is soaked for 48 hours, at which point a small fermentation takes place. The endosperm and germ are processed independently in this method and then pulverised while wet. The next step is to wash each of these individual components in order to remove the starch. The starch in maize is extracted using centrifuges and hydro cyclones, which also separate the corn gluten, corn fibre, and corn steep liquor. After that, drying takes place. Last but not least, the starch is modified for specific applications.
Storing Directions:
Corn starch supplied by one of the excellent Corn Starch suppliers in Ajman should be stored in an airtight container to prevent spoilage. The relative humidity outside the container will have no effect on the contents of the container being airtight. Extreme heat is another something to avoid. It needs to be stored in a dry, cool place in a well-sealed container. It has an infinite shelf life if properly preserved.
Applications:
●        Gravies, soups, custards, sauces, etc., all benefit from using cornstarch as a thickening agent.
●        Corn starch also has a significant function in the production of anti-caking compounds for powdered sugar. Corn starch is a common constituent in most commercial baby powders.
●        There are many different types of bioplastics, and this is a significant application of maize starch, which is employed in many of them.
●        In addition to its many other use, maize starch is a key ingredient in chicken nugget batter. Increases crispiness and oil absorption rate after frying.
●        Medical gloves, diaphragms as well as condoms are all produced from natural latex and feature corn starch as an anti-stick ingredient.
●        Cornstarch is helpful for those with glycogen storage illnesses because it can be converted into glucose. Without it, these people might not be able to grow and develop, might not acquire weight, and might even perish.
●        Cornstarch can form a non-Newtonian fluid when combined with the right liquid. Adding oil creates an electrorheological fluid while adding water creates Oobleck.
●        Numerous companies employ corn starch in manufacturing their products, which drives up the price of food production. If you are looking for one of the best Corn Starch exporters in Ajman, Palvi Chemicals can fulfil all your needs.

Marine Coatings Market Analysis: Global Overview
Antifouling Coatings One of the most important coatings used in marine applications is antifouling coatings. These coatings are applied to the hulls of ships and boats to prevent biofouling, which is the unwanted accumulation of microorganisms, algae, plants, and animals on wet surfaces. Biofouling can have significant detrimental effects if left untreated as it increases drag, decreases fuel efficiency, and affects maneuverability. Traditional antifouling coatings contained biocides like tributyltin (TBT) which leached from the coating into the surrounding seawater to deter biological growth. While very effective, these TBT-based antifoulings posed environmental and health risks. As a result, the International Maritime Organization banned the use of TBT-based antifoulings worldwide in 2008. Modern antifouling coatings now rely on alternative biocides or biocide-free mechanisms to prevent slime and organism accumulation. Copper-based antifoulings are now one of the most common alternatives as copper is a naturally occurring element that marine life encounters. The copper leaches slowly from the coating and acts as a biocide at low concentrations safely. Other non-biocide mechanisms involve foul-release and fouling-release coatings, which create very slick surfaces that marine organisms struggle to adhere to. The coating periodically "sloughs off" any organisms that start to attach. Overall, the goal of modern antifouling coatings is to provide effective hull protection while minimizing environmental impact. Anticorrosion Coatings In addition to preventing biofouling, marine coatings play a critical role in protecting a ship's steel hull and other metal components from corrosion due to seawater exposure. Left uncoated, steel readily corrodes when submerged in seawater which contains dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide, and chloride salts. The main types of marine anticorrosion coatings are anticorrosive primers and topcoats. Epoxy and polyurethane coatings are commonly used anticorrosive primers that form a protective barrier on the metal surface, disrupting the corrosion process. Topcoats are then applied over primers to provide additional physical, mechanical, and aesthetic protection. Popular topcoats include further epoxy coats, chlorinated rubber, and acrylic coatings. Specialized Coatings Beyond generic hull and anticorrosion coatings, specialized marine coatings serve various other functions. Tank coatings applied to cargo oil tanks, ballast tanks, and fuel tanks assist in corrosion protection and help prevent contamination. Due to cargo compatibility concerns, different tank coating chemistries may be selected depending on the types of fluids being stored or transported. Additionally, many vessels require scrubber coatings. These physically robust coatings line exhaust gas desulfurization (EGD or "scrubber") systems that remove sulfur oxides from engine exhaust to comply with emissions regulations. Scrubber coatings must withstand the corrosiveness of seawater and chemical cleaning agents used in the scrubbing process. Epoxy and silicon-based coatings tend to work well in these highly demanding environments. Successful coatings receive certification from classification societies like Lloyd's Register verifying they meet procurement specifications. Examples are Lloyd's Register Certificates for fitness of antifouling coatings or NORSOK M-501 for offshore structures. With thorough R&D testing and certifications, marine coatings manufacturers can provide assurance their products will maintain maximum performance and lifetime when used for their intended purpose.

Glyoxal Prices Trend, Database, Chart, Index, Forecast
Tumblr media
Glyoxal Prices is a versatile organic compound with a wide range of industrial applications, including textiles, leather, paper, and oil and gas industries. Its price dynamics are influenced by various factors, such as raw material costs, production capacities, demand fluctuations, and market conditions. In recent years, glyoxal prices have shown significant variability due to changes in these factors.
The production of glyoxal primarily relies on ethylene glycol, which is subject to price fluctuations based on crude oil prices. When crude oil prices rise, the cost of ethylene glycol tends to increase, subsequently driving up glyoxal prices. Conversely, a decline in crude oil prices can lead to lower glyoxal prices. Therefore, the petrochemical industry's health is closely linked to glyoxal pricing trends. Additionally, production capacities and operational efficiencies of glyoxal manufacturing facilities play a critical role in determining supply levels, which in turn affect prices. Any disruptions in production due to maintenance shutdowns, technical issues, or environmental regulations can lead to supply shortages and price hikes.
Demand for glyoxal is another crucial factor influencing its price. The textile industry, which uses glyoxal as a cross-linking agent for producing wrinkle-resistant fabrics, is a major consumer. Fluctuations in the textile market, influenced by fashion trends, consumer spending, and global economic conditions, can directly impact glyoxal demand and prices. The paper and packaging industry also significantly impacts glyoxal prices, as the compound is used in improving wet strength in paper products. Increased demand for packaging materials, driven by the e-commerce boom, has contributed to heightened glyoxal consumption and, subsequently, its prices.

The leather industry, utilizing glyoxal in tanning processes to improve leather properties, adds another layer of demand complexity. Seasonal variations, such as increased leather goods production for fashion seasons, can lead to short-term spikes in glyoxal demand and prices. Moreover, the oil and gas sector's use of glyoxal in enhanced oil recovery processes means that fluctuations in oil production levels and drilling activities also influence glyoxal prices.
Geopolitical factors and trade policies further impact glyoxal prices. Trade tariffs, import/export restrictions, and geopolitical tensions can affect the availability and cost of raw materials, as well as the finished product. For instance, tariffs on chemical imports or exports can increase production costs, thereby raising glyoxal prices. Similarly, changes in environmental regulations aimed at reducing emissions and promoting sustainable practices can lead to increased production costs for glyoxal manufacturers, affecting market prices.
Technological advancements in glyoxal production and application also play a role in shaping price trends. Innovations that enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and lower raw material usage can help stabilize or reduce glyoxal prices. Additionally, the development of alternative materials or substitutes for glyoxal in various applications can influence demand and pricing dynamics. For example, if a more cost-effective or environmentally friendly alternative to glyoxal is developed, it could lead to reduced demand and lower prices.
The global economic environment, including factors such as inflation rates, currency exchange rates, and overall economic growth, also affects glyoxal prices. Economic downturns can lead to reduced industrial activity and lower demand for glyoxal, resulting in price drops. Conversely, periods of economic growth typically drive higher industrial production and increased glyoxal demand, pushing prices upward.
Market competition among glyoxal manufacturers and suppliers further influences pricing strategies. Companies with advanced production technologies, lower operational costs, or strategic geographic locations may offer competitive pricing, impacting the overall market price of glyoxal. Additionally, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships within the chemical industry can alter market dynamics and affect glyoxal prices by consolidating market power or introducing new competitive pressures.
In conclusion, glyoxal prices are subject to a complex interplay of factors including raw material costs, production capacities, demand from various industries, geopolitical influences, technological advancements, and the global economic environment. Understanding these factors and their interrelationships is crucial for stakeholders in the glyoxal market to navigate price volatility and make informed business decisions. As market conditions continue to evolve, monitoring these influences will remain essential for predicting and responding to changes in glyoxal prices.
