#mmmmmm debating buying a new pc#theres nothing wrong with my pc atm lol its just i have the opportunity to rn#and my pc isnt quite powerful enough for some of the things that i want to do like 3d modelling and larger games and video editing and such#esp that i'll be doing increasingly more of over the years#plus if i do get one then my current one wont go to waste i think id give it to my sibling since hes always mentioning#how he'd like to get a setup like mine#whenever shes over she goes on my pc to do speedruns lmao#like its good mid-teir pc its worked well for me#so its not desperate#i am debating getting a new laptop too this one is like 4 years old and is starting to show it#but idk im very much a 'use it till its dead' guy#like my phone's power button has been broken for like half a year so it hasnt turned off in months..... but i cba to fix it#like i GUESS i could get a new phone but ughhhhhh do i really have to it works fine#anyway i guess i should ask some tech guys about this i found some good ref websites#em if u see this lmk what u think i should do lol im pondering#i think tbh i might hold off for a bit before i get any new big purchases but i may get some small things like new clothes that#i need and such idk lol#that or id sell my current pc idk but im sentimental lol

I am now on Pillowfort and Cohost!
I think right now I like Cohost's design the best, since it seems closest to tumblr's functionality, but Pillowfort seems like it'll be a nice blend of Reddit forum-style and Tumblr. Pillowfort might be better for fandom discussions tbh; Cohost might be better for a tumblr-style migration.
(Again though, I'm leaving tumblr over my dead body, but just in case people need to find me.)
#I also think I like Pillowfort's monetization setup better. It sucks that the other website that tried to stand in for tumblr#that crashed and who's name I've forgotten didn't get to stick around. It would've been the perfect design.

square card reader has this fun feature where you can accidentally doxx yourself to everyone who buys from you without warning
#uhhhh me#WILD that nowhere during setup does it tell you 'hey! this address you enter will be displayed on every receipt!!'#thank goodness i was testing it beforehand and noticed it#i do NOT want everyone who buys from me to know where i live thankyouverymuch#and also you can't toggle this off via the app. you have to go to their online website#which seems unnecessarily hassley#ALSO also if you toggle location off#it just turns off the map#the address itself is STILL WRITTEN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE RECEIPT#so i just. entered the address of the place i'm going to be selling at#i think they just weren't aware that a lot of people using square are people selling at cons#and don't have actual storefronts#it just would have been nice!! to have been told!! at the beginning!!#that the address we're entering!! should be our storefront address!! and not our home address!!!
