OKAY so now that you’ve read my ena essay and i’ve successfully gotten you somewhat invested in the shinonome siblings dynamic, i need to tell you about something that has been driving me crazy. so there’s this scene in insatiable pale color where ena has a mental breakdown and tries to get rid all of her art supplies, and just kind of starts. throwing things around. and akito walks in and is like “ena what are you doing” and when he notices all of her art supplies strewn around her room, he’s obviously concerned because he knows that her art supplies are important to her. they argue for a bit because ena keeps telling him that it’s not about him and telling him to go away, and then akito realizes that it probably has to do with their dad and he tries to reassure her, but she just yells at him to leave again and he DOES.

and it’s just. ow. because ena had already pushed away her friends who were trying to help, and now she’s pushing away her brother who was the only person she had left and e eveneveghevegshshe they make me feel so many emotions its not good for me
