Until the Obedient Bodyguard Exposes the Body and the Lie of the Fake Lady - By Haru ni inazuma (8/10)
It's another otome game villainess, but this time the love interest is her bodyguard! This one was fun. I didn’t expect Mr. Bodyguard to be as cruel as he turned out to be. He doesn't care if his young lady suffers, as long as she relies on him.
Reiko is a dumb university student who woke up in the body of a game villainess. She's...got to deal with alot. She's rich and she gets kidnapped constantly.
It's played for laughs but she's in danger. Reiko dies in alot of the game routes.
Takaomi is her bodyguard. He's one of the game characters, so he's OP. She needs him, so she treats him well. She kisses ass to improve her reputation.
Like literally he makes her give him compliments.
He kind of has a praise kink I think.
Takaomi isn't a super nice guy. Reiko played the game in her previous life. She knows Takaomi will kill for the person he loves. She thinks that person is the heroine.
The heroine isn't evil here. She's just a pretty girl.
Takaomi is the villain AND the love interest. Reiko is still scared so she plans to fire him, because she can't trust him. Sayuri is too charming. She is certain he will fall for her.
Takaomi spikes her tea. He captures her. Stuff happens but then he releases her. He even says he'll quit.
Reiko admits EVERYTHING. She confirms that she changed because she's actually a different person. She knows she was kissing ass, but she does care about him. She was in denial about her crush on him.
The ending implies that Takaomi fell for the new version of Reiko. He wants the new version to be just for him. He doesn't want anyone else to ever know her secret.
Are you ready?
It is heavily implied that Takaomi is spreading rumors about Reiko, to keep her reputation in the toilet.
...so he can have her.
Now that's a good final plot twist. I think he never intended to quit as well. That was just a push to make her crack.
