Remember that post where I had feelings about Thomas forever being stuck on the shitty first draft and wrote a song about it?

Said song is finished now and because I've been wanting to try this for ages, I've downloaded a program that allows you to write sheet music and used Thomas's song as a guinea pig.

I haven't gotten very far yet (as you can see) and it's not 100 % correct yet but I've never done this before and, taking that into account, I think it turned out quite well for a first try. And, perhaps most importantly, I had a lot of fun.

One thing I'd love to try my hand at in the future (the far, distant future) is writing an accompaniment for the left hand bass lines. When I work on a song, I usually just do some basic fingerpicking on my baritone ukulele to accompany the melody but I'd love to turn my music into something that actually sounds good on the piano too.

So yeah, still a long way to go but I'm very excited to expand my musical skills a little.

I get the ick from ukulele players but not for anti-basic bitch reasons but because my first boyfriend played ukulele and when I said I wanted to learn guitar he said he could teach me because they were "basically the same thing" and when I was like no? He got mad at me
