Rumors on Twitter the other day that the USS Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln left port in San Diego the other day, and apparently it seems to be true.
The French Navy is also closely involved, as the amphibious assault ship FS Tonnerre (L-9014), of the Mistral type, has been ordered to join the NATO naval force. The French are also sending a floating hospital to the area to help care for those in need in the Gaza Strip. Already, the US Navy's most modern aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), is in the eastern Mediterranean, while the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) is heading to the area. It is worth noting that the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) sailed from the San Diego naval base yesterday, along with the battle group accompanying it. His destination is not yet known. A day earlier, another carrier battle group, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), had sailed from San Diego.

I have 2 questions about Dwight D Flysenhower guys
First, isn't he supposed to be a Gerald r ford class carrier? ISNT HE? I mean Gerald r ford class carriers start from 78 (which is the ensign number of Gerald). And Flysenhower carries the ensign number 81... And then we are told he is a Nimitz class carrier either way.
Oh and this isn't as big of a problem as the first, but irl CVN-81 happens to be... USS Doris Miller. I mean I've seen discussions of whether CVN-69, that is technically USS Dwight D Eisenhower who is the inspiration for Dwight D Flysenhower doesn't exist in WoC?? Something like those convos? This literally means USS Doris Miller doesn't exist.

UK Royal Navy might stop building aircraft carriers
The Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers of the UK Royal Navy are expected to remain in service until 2069, but doubts are already being raised about the operability of British aircraft carriers as part of a combat deployment, The National Interest reports.
Although HMS Queen Elizabeth took part in a successful round-the-world voyage to the Far East and back, it was a carefully planned goodwill tour rather than a combat deployment.
The aircraft carrier has conducted several F-35 combat sorties in the Mediterranean during its 2021 deployment, but the Royal Navy has unlikely done well in sending HMS Queen Elizabeth to the Red Sea to support the US Navy’s Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) in defence of commercial shipping against missile attacks by the Houthis in the region.
HMS Queen Elizabeth was due to take part as the flagship in a long-planned NATO exercise, but instead the warship was heading to the Rosyth dockyard to fix a problem with the starboard propeller coupling. HMS Prince of Wales had to fill in as the flagship of the NATO drill.
Tom Sharpe of the UK’s Telegraph newspaper claimed in early February that even at full combat readiness, the Royal Navy’s aircraft carriers would be poorly suited for operations in the Red Sea, especially without support from the US Navy.

B-1B bombers perform joint training with Singapore and Japan in the Indo-Pacific
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 01/22/2024 - 9:00 p.m. in Military
Two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers bombers were moved to the Indo-Pacific region where they carried out joint exercises with the Air Force of the Republic of Singapore (RSAF) and the Air Self-Defense Force of Japan (JASDF).
The two B-1B Lancers assigned to the 345º Expeditionary Bomber Squadron of Dyesss Air Base, Texas, arrived at Paya Lebar Air Base, Singapore, on January 18, as part of regular training of the United States Air Force and commitments to key partners in the region.

Integration with RSAF provides valuable professional exchanges and training opportunities with different aircraft and crews.
In a statement, PACAF emphasized the importance of integration with RSAF, mentioning the valuable professional exchanges and training opportunities with different aircraft and crews.
Although PACAF did not label the bomber deployment as a Bomber Task Force, the B-1 also participated in separate training with four JASDF F-15 Eagles over the Sea of Japan on January 18.
Photos released on PACAF social networks showed supersonic bombers flying next to Japanese F-15 fighters. The purpose of these exercises is to improve the deterrence and response capabilities, as well as the tactical skills of the US-Japan alliance, as declared by PACAF.

The PACAF spokesman added that they continue to conduct bomber missions in the Indo-Pacific region, demonstrating the effectiveness of the forces to ensure security in various environments. These training opportunities, according to him, support the national security objectives through the speed, flexibility and readiness of strategic bombers.
At the same time, U.S. Air Force F-35 fighters conducted joint training with several aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force on January 17 and 19 over the waters of the southern region of the island of Okinawa, Japan.
The two-day exercise involved 27 F-15 jets, one E-767, two E-2C Hawkeyes and two KC-46A Pegasus tanker planes from Japan, along with approximately 10 American F-35s poachers. JASDF announced that the training aimed to improve bilateral response capabilities and tactical skills.
The PACAF spokesman reiterated his commitment to carry out various missions, such as bombers, cargo, refueling and hunting in the Indo-Pacific region, highlighting the effectiveness of the forces in providing security in a varied and uncertain environment.
