“Swiftly! Before the Autobots arrive.”

All but one Vehicon trooper remains standing when Starscream turns to Soundwave and tells him they need to hurry. They both know mere Vehicons are no match for the Wrecker. Like Bulkhead says, “This is Wheeljack we’re talkin’ about.”

By the time the Autobots show up, not only has Wheeljack been subdued and removed from the scene, but Makeshift is in position too.

That was one very quick switch.

No one else besides Soundwave could have ambushed and subdued Wheeljack so quickly before the Autobots arrived.

This makes their confrontation in “Triage” more of a rematch:

First, Wheeljack goes against Ratchet’s wishes and wastes valuable time to chase and shoot down Laserbeak. Then, without hesitation, he goes after Soundwave alone. Wheeljack is petty; he’s not one to pass up a chance to get even with an enemy.

Even so, Soundwave still comes out on top:

Soundwave: 2

Wheeljack: 0

i jus got my copy of #4 so i thought i'd do a quick on #3 bc i didnt have any perticular panels to share so i forgor

i'm deeply hoping Carly saying that not all transformers are on the same side starts actually being heard. 'kids know what's up and adults refuse to acknowlege' is such a frustrating trope for me. the chances of spike getting shot if they had listened etc etc at least it should be resolved if he lives (can you fucking imagine if they killed off teenage spike witwicky in issue three of transformers, that would be the wildest shit what a choice)

it'll be intersting to see going forward how the vibes between soundwave and starscream go. I wonder if here SW is mostly preoccupied with ravage still being injured from #1.

I'm hoping there'll be some unpredictiable element to why SS has such a bee in his bonet about megatron being mentioned ngl. he's taking it sooooo personally, like babe what did you do? did you crash this ship against his warning or what?
