Ein handschriftliches Navigationssystem im Auto

Im Auto von Techniktagebuchautor Peter Witzel finde ich zwei Zettel mit einer von Hand abgeschriebenen Navigationsanleitung.

Diesen Workaround habe ich auch schon mal genutzt, nur nicht handschriftlich, und es war 2006. Ich frage Peter, was hier der Anlass war.

"Ich weiß nicht, ob du die Nachrichtenlage mitgekriegt hast, aber die Verkehrsinfrastruktur in Deutschland wurde die letzten 30 Jahre schlecht bis gar nicht gewartet. Alle Brücken, gerade in NRW, sind kaputt, und in NRW ist von heute auf morgen eine ganz normale, dringend benötigte Autobahn gesperrt worden, weil die Brücke gesprengt und über fünf Jahre neu gebaut werden muss. Und S. hat ein so altes Navi, TomTom, was man noch so reinsteckt ins Auto, aus diversen Gründen. Das Handybedienen im Auto mögen wir beide nicht. S. kümmert sich um die Updates von diesem Navi, aber wenn sich was sehr kurzfristig ändert, weiß das TomTom davon noch nichts. Und S. ist ein Weg-nicht-Finder vor dem Herrn. Er kann auch Städtenamen nicht zu Positionen zuordnen, weder im Kopf noch auf einer Karte. Und deswegen hat er sich, weil da so viele Umleitungen im Bergischen Land waren, das hier gemacht und hat das zwei Nächte lang auswendig gelernt und es zur Sicherheit noch ins Auto gelegt."

Drama Unfolds in the Latest Episode of Vanderpump Rules

In the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules, tensions rise as Sandoval confronts James about his perceived hypocrisy. Sandoval accuses James of comparing his current situation to a past incident involving James hooking up with Kristan, Sandoval's ex. In addition to feeling disappointed by his lack of communication with Rachel, James heads to Emo Nite with Ally, where Katie, Ariana, and Scheana are guest DJs. After the confrontation with Sandoval, James is eager to share the encounter and seek second opinions from the ladies. Ariana points out that Sandoval lacks unbiased friends since they are all 'on his payroll'. Unfortunately, Schwartz misses Scheana's set at Emo Nite after leaving Sandoval's party, leading Scheana to comment, "That's what you get when you choose Tom Sandoval over the group."

The morning after, Katie visits Ariana to get an IV infusion. During their conversation, Ariana mentions that she believes Scheana has a soft spot for Schwartz but doesn't want him to be present at every event she attends. She contemplates whether Scheana can be classified as a true friend or a 'flip-flopper'.

Meanwhile, Sandoval surprise Lisa the now closed bar, Pump. Lisa asks Sandoval about his interactions with the group, which (apart from Ariana) he reveals were minimal. Lisa advises him that the gentlemanly thing to do in this situation would be to move out and sell the house. However, Sandoval is resistant to this compromise due to the substantial amount of money and effort he has invested in the property. He expresses feeling pressured and still dealing with the loss of his friend Ali while also enduring criticism from Scheana on her podcast. On the podcast episode, Scheana speculates about Sandoval's past involvement with Billie. Additionally, one of Rachel's ex-boyfriends, Nema Vand, claims that Rachel mentioned Sandoval had informed her that he and Ariana were in an open relationship. Sandoval vehemently denies this allegation. Amidst his distress, Sandoval opens up to Lisa about battling thoughts of suicide deeply upsetting her. Lisa makes him promise to reach out to her if he ever finds himself in a dark place.

Schwartz meets with Lisa at Vanderpump Dogs and express his concern for his brother, who is currently in rehab and was rushed to the hospital, potentially facing liver disease. Both Schwartz and and Lisa share worries about Sandoval's mental health. Lisa reveals her plans to invite the group to reconnect at the opening of her new restaurant, Wolf by Vanderpump, in Lake Tahoe. As invitations are being sent out, Schwartz informed the group that he told Sandoval, "I don't want to be anywhere near either you or my ex," Ariana responds by stating that she has given up on Sandoval, asserting that her life has improved as a result. She refers to him as a lost cause. THis leads Schwartz to attack her ego, telling her she is "not the queen of the group." Shortly after, he apologizes to Ariana and expresses his longing for the way things used to be within the group.

However, Ariana tells him he is no longer welcome.During a trip to the restroom, Scheana is approached by Sandoval, who wishes to speak with her. Scheana shares her belief that if Sandoval had been truthful and apologetic from the beginning, things could have played out differently. In response, Sandoval immediately apologizes and expresses his discomfort with the content of Scheana's podcasts. She explains that the podcast talk ceased because she felt the same way, but then she accuses him of being a narcissist and urges him to humble himself.
