FAQs

You've asked, and we've answered! ...a lot! Here's a compilation of (most of) the questions we've been asked, all in one place.

What types of submissions are not allowed? Anything that 1. makes the mods uncomfortable or 2. is inaccessible (... for people using screenreaders, for people with low vision, for people with migraines, etc). There's a list here, but that's just stuff that's come up often enough we feel the need to mention it. A good rule of thumb is that the closer it is to any real-life horrible thing, the less inclined we are to post.

Genocide, especially if your ask can be summed up as "AITA for submitting/being the victim of genocide?" (Also, if you explicitly term what the POV character has done as genocide, we immediately stop caring about if that's actually accurate.)

SA of any kind, especially if your ask can be summed up as "AITA for committing/being the victim of SA?"

Incest, especially if it is really central to the submission (Also, we may have a different definition of incest than you, so be warned in advance in case your submission that you thought was fine gets sent back or deleted.)

Suicide, especially if your ask can be summed up as "AITA for committing suicide/making someone commit suicide?"

Extreme violence towards children, especially from the POV of the person doing the violence.

Anything that could be alternately summed up as "AITA for being a bigot?" Yes, fictional bigotry counts.

Submissions about real people.

Harry Potter submissions.

All-caps asks. Depending on what software is being run, this can mess with screen readers.

Small-text asks. These are hard to read for people with low vision.

Leetspeak asks / typing quirks of any kind. Again, screen readers, but this time it's for all of them.

Colored text. It can cause migraines.

... For the last four, if your ask makes minor use of caps, small text, leetspeak, or colored text, it will probably get posted with tags like "small text," "not screenreader friendly," or "colored text."

Excluding, to the best of our ability, Harry Potter, we do not delete submissions based on what the source material depicts. 9 times out of 10, we don't know what the source material even is.

Can I submit something about real people if they've been dead for a long time? We would still prefer that you not. If your media of choice is something like SIX, Hamilton, Our Flag Means Death, or any other fictionalized account of real peoples' lives, we may choose to delete your submission even if we recognize the fandom... or there may not be enough to distinguish it from real life, and delete it because we thought you were submitting something about the real Anne of Cleves.

What about Jesus? Jesus was probably a real person but we'll make an exception.

Are 'sequel' submissions (the same scenario from another point of view, a followup, etc) allowed? Yes! However, it's up to you to figure out a way to tie back to your previous ask. You are welcome to do this in the form of a reblog, but we probably won't see it.

Can I submit an ask about my OCs/fanfic/roleplay/other non-canon thing? Sure! Though if you're submitting something about someone else's fic, we'd prefer if you had the author's permission. Same principle with roleplay--everyone involved should be OK with it going here. (We won't know if you don't have permission, but we'd like to remind you that it's polite to get it.)

Do I have to tell you if I’m submitting something from a fic/roleplay/AU/OC/whatever?

You do not! You can if you want to but it doesn’t make a difference to us.

Can we post stuff that has spoilers for X media? Yes*. * Please don't send in submissions for stuff that's less than a month old, as we can't realistically tag spoilers.** ** The exception to this is remakes/adaptations/remasters/etc, which we don't consider to be "new"*** *** Unless something new actually is added, in which case only that specific thing is considered "new." So, if you have a scenario that utilizes that specific thing, please wait a month. If not, you're good.

Can I ask if you've gotten my submission/if it's been queued? Yes, but only off anon, and we will only tell you if it's in the queue or the askbox. We want to answer asks like this privately instead of clogging up peoples' dashes with them, and we do not want to dig through our blog for a specific post. You do that.

If I submitted something off anon, will you let me know if you decide not to post it? Yes, we will answer your ask privately to tell you why we do not want to post it.

How many times do you post a day? 12 posts are published a day.

Can you post more? No. This is an irritating question. You are encouraged to make your own blog if you don't like the way this one is run--we don't have a monopoly on this idea!

How long is the queue? A few days to a week, usually, including stuff in the askbox that hasn't been properly queued.

What do these acronyms mean? YTA = you're the asshole NTA = not the asshole (this means someone else is) JAH = justified asshole NAH = no assholes here ESH = everyone sucks here INFO = more information is required to make a decision

Some of the characters I want to post about are nonbinary. how should I format my submission? We do not require submissions to include the age or gender of any characters. However, if you want to include this, what we've seen other people do say is 18NB or 18X.

Can I put trigger tags at the top of my submission? Yeah that's fine! We also try to tag common triggers, although we don't tag for murder or human death because so many of these stories involve murder.

Right now we tag: - Unreality (every post) - Animal death - Suicide - Rape/CSA - Child harm/death/endangerment - Abuse - Kidnapping - Stalking - ... And a whole bunch of other stuff

All our trigger tags are just the trigger with no CW/TW

Oooh characters I don't often talk about! Or at least with Gooey.

Marx: A canon or headcanon hill I will die on

I got two for you here. 1, I like Nova!Marx. Like Susie, he's part robotic. This is due to the wish he made on Nova. He technically doesn't need to blink, his eyes are glass. And his heart rate sounds more like a clock. And that teal stuff? Motor fluid.

Another headcanon I love (is it implied?) is the idea that Marx and Kirby were childhood best friends. It explains why Kirby listened to Marx's idea about getting Nova involved when the sun and moon were fighting. They trusted Marx's judgement. It makes Marx's betrayal hurt a lot more, you know?

They're on good terms now, and Marx has been (mostly) forgiven. But they're no longer as close as they used to be.

Marx: Unpopular opinion about them

Another opinion that I am unfortunately guilty of in the past. But I don't like the feralization/dumbing down of Marx's character that ppl in the fandom have done. He is chaotic, sure. But he's not stupid. He's not a wild animal that Magolor has to detain. He knows when to back off from a prank. It just takes a lot of pushing before that limit is made.

Marx: Deepest darkest secret they won’t even admit to themselves

This one ties into the headcanon question. Marx misses the old friendship he used to have with Kirby. He misses the days where the two just hung out. One on one. Marx's betrayal ruined that friendship. Sure, they're friendly again, Kirby still calls them friends. But Marx knows they won't ever be the same. And he kinda resents trying to take over Popstar out of boredom.

Marx: Most annoying habit

Marx in general is a very loud person. He doesn't know how to use an inside voice, or maybe he does and just likes yelling. No one quite knows. All everyone knows is that he's unbearable to hang out with for long periods of time, and no one gets how Magolor does it.

Marx: What they really think about themselves

Like Magolor, Marx has an ego. He thinks he's the funniest, best jester in Popstar. Maybe even the entire universe! He has the evidence to show that he's funny, because he always makes himself laugh! And others do too of course. And he does make pretty good schemes. And good pranks.

Gooey: A canon or headcanon hill I will die on

This one is thanks to a certain next gen au. But Gooey later learns how to use the Rainbow Sword! He did look up to Dark Matter Swordsman after all, in a way. This is a long while after Star Allies, and it does weird some citizens out that he holds the sword with his tongue. but then again, Gooey grabs everything with his tongue. He doesn't have hands.

Gooey: Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character

You know that image in one of the cutscenes where Gooey's just vibing and eating a fish? That specific image. In that moment I knew I loved and related to Gooey and just vibing.

Gooey: Quotes, songs, poems, etc. that I associate with them

I am so sorry anon. But I currently cannot think of anything that I associate with Gooey in the form of songs and such. I do associate Failboat with Gooey, but only cause the youtuber loves him.

Gooey: What they would do if stuck in an elevator with Dedede

I have the headcanon that Gooey is... wary of Dedede. Gooey was around when Dedede was a jerk, after all. Gooey remembers how mean they used to be to Kirby. And sure, Dedede has changed a lot since then. But Gooey, still being young, ends up being a little petty about it. So if they were both on an elevator, Gooey would be completely silent in a corner away from the king.

Dedede tries his best to be friendly. And Gooey warms up to him eventually.

Gooey: If they could have lunch with anyone in the world (living or dead, from any fictional universe or the real world), who would it be?

I think Gooey would actually pick Void Termina on this one. Gooey takes a lot after Kirby, just being a lot more naive. Gooey looks up to Kirby in general. He, like his idol, wants to see the best in people. And besides, he's dark matter, and he's good! Kirby's related to them in some way, and he's good! So surely, all dark matter can be good if they wanted to? Dark Matter Swordsman could be good...

So with no hesitation, they'd resurrect the world destroyer that almost ruined the universe. Just to have lunch with them and try to convince them to be good.

Characters: Yosuke, Kagome

Word Count: 912

This fic is for that one anon on Aonik's tumbler and Aonik too I guess. There's art this was based off of and y'all welcome its becoming public now. Also I got the AU wrong to for the art. Whoops?

Kagome's not stupid. She's seen the IOUs scattered around Yosuke's messy apartment when he thinks no one's looking. They're loans really, with interest rates so high they're only meant to bury someone alive. She doesn't know why Yosuke feels the need to flash around money he doesn't have. He could have less debt living out of a modest apartment and dressed in the simple attire of his youth. Instead he's 21, dressed to the nines, and suffocating under whatever self imposed persona he has.

She's never given the impression she's into money has she?

Yet she doesn't say no to the single shoulder dark blue dress that hugs her perfectly and has a slit up one leg. She should turn it down because she see's the IOU for it peeking out from under a fashion magazine on the coffee table, but she looks so damn good in it. If Yosuke wants to destroy himself then she should get to have one night where she doesn't have to worry about him.

When Yosuke comes out of his bedroom she half expects him to be in a coat with tails.

“Something wrong?” Yosuke asks, adjusting his bow tie and unaware of what she's just been looking at.

“Just not what I was expecting. It's modest for you these days,” Kagome answers, taking in the black suspenders over his white dress shirt. Her eye's glance at the IOU as she nudges it further out of sight and she has to wonder if all of his budget for whatever this is went to her.

“When you're crashing a party it's best not to standout,” Yosuke answers, his arms snaking around her waist and a little lower than she'd prefer.

“We're crashing a party? I thought this was for your job?”

What job she's not sure. She's pretty sure Yosuke should be homeless yet he always defies all odds and she allows herself to keep following it blindly.

“It is,” Yosuke answers, before his eyes narrow, “I wasn't invited.”

“You're not even going to get in the door.”

If they are dressed this nicely then it has to be a high class event. Someone is going to be watching the door ensuring only those on the guest list enter.

“I can just reattach the tags and your can return it and get your money back.”

“Keep it. It looks good,” Yosuke whispers pulling her closer.

She has her clutch up and blocking Yosuke before his lips can try anything. She loves him, she really does, but she also doesn't like whatever he's become. She wants the old Yosuke back. She's not going to let him kiss her with those lying lips.

“I'm not stupid, Yosuke,” she replies, prying his fingers off easily so she can reach down and grab the IOU and shove it at him. “You've got hundreds of these littered around. I thought your mom taught you good spending habits?”

“Everyone has a little debt, Kagome,” Yosuke shrugs.

“This isn't a little debt. Do you even have any money? Do you think I won't look at you if you're poor?”

“It's complicated,” Yosuke huffs.

“It's not,” Kagome answers poking a finger at his chest, “I don't care what you can or can't buy me Kamogawa Yosuke. I care about the nerdy little boy I went to school with before whatever this is happened.”

“Then you're wasting your time, Kagome. He's dead. He's dead because nobody cared, but now somebody does.”

“Using you so you wrack up a debt isn't caring, Yosuke, and you're wrong. I've always cared about you.”

“Well you shouldn't have,” Yosuke yells, and Kagome's not sure the last time she's seen him get truly angry. It's a crack in the mask. It's a glimpse back at the boy who faded away.

“We can get this under control,” Kagome softens, her hand cupping Yosuke's face.

“I'm not taking you down with me,” Yosuke mumbles, not meeting her eyes.

“That's not your choice, Yosuke. It's mine.”

“Just keep the dress and leave. I don't feel like going out anymore.”

He's defeated and she doesn't know why. She's always reaching her hand out to him and he always refuses it. She doesn't understand why he doesn't want to be pulled up from whatever pit he's in.

“I'm sorry,” Kagome whispers, but it's too late. He's shut down again. He's closed off. What was supposed to be another nice evening is ruined before it's even started. It seems all they do is fight. Maybe it's all Yosuke thinks he deserves.

She leaves him because staying never accomplishes anything. The IOUs keep piling up. He refuses to listen to reason, and Kagome can only break her own heart so much.

The IOU for her dress sits crumpled in her hand. She'll return it or at least she'll try her best to return it without the receipt because Yosuke would never give that to her. She'll find the rest of the money as well. She can't pay off all of Yosuke's debt but she can at least pay off this one. She can march into the building of the Yahabe corporation and see at least what Yosuke has gotten himself into that he insists he can't get back out of.

She'll save him. She'll save him even if he'll never look at her again for doing it.

Holy gee WOW did I smile so very hard at this nonnie, I can't even tell you omfg. I was kind of wondering if Merrical would reach others in the SW fandom. I just know it's a smaller ship, especially in comparison to Reylo...and let me just tell you, Reylo Merricals, I think are mighty cool people.

Alright, well, I had another ask where I just gave all my fic recs and stuff like that, so you can find all of that here!

Okay okay okay, damn...where to start? I mean coming from Reylo you're still getting that enemies to lovers the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine goodness. Just imagine like...a Dark Rey/Jedi Ben AU? Yeah that seems like the right vibes to me.

Alright, so like the absolute 🤌thing🤌 for Merrical imo is all of the unspoken understanding between them. When I first played Jedi Fallen Order, what truly got me to start shipping is the moment Cal looked into Merrin's eyeballs and dropped the "I know what it's like to lose everything" line, like damn. That fucking--that ruined my life. He looked at her and validated her and then told her that how she'd been treated was wrong, and I just like fainted the old Katie can't come to the phone right now because she's dead. Here are two people, who both have been through so much, all of the same traumas of losing their entire people at such a young age and they found each other...like...do you know how special that is??

I think that is just another thing that I love about these two. There really is so much unsaid understanding between them that it seems like no matter the universe, they just seem to just naturally want to be around each other, and maybe they don't always understand why, but what it has is the potential to turn into is like *chef's kiss* of building something together that may have a foundation of joint trauma, but can then turn into everything they have been seeking and not even knowing they were. About two broken people, finally feeling like it's okay that they are, like they don't need to be fixed, like they don't need to explain, and they can just be.

It's about what they can build together.

They are so very healthy, have such amazing communication, and ISTG Star War if you don't give us this one pairing that won't end in tragedy I am setting everything on fire.

Alright, so obviously I would suggest playing JFO and then Jedi Survivor to get like the full story, but if you're not a gamer and want to commit to watching the "movie" version JFO, I thought this one was the best of the ones that weren't like 5+ hours but still providing enough context with cut scenes and some game play. I know it's still long but I tried to pick the best one under 3 hours!

For the JS movie. I thought this one was also a good balance of game play and cut scenes to get context. Let me just, like wow Respawn really made this game for the Merricals. Oh shit, these two are going to fuck your life up...in like the best way.

Also...HEH you're still gonna get all the freckle and hair appreciation in the world. Yes, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

if i didn't delete my rise of the brave tangled dragons and my voltron fics it would be them but i did. i deleted them. now my top 5 are all bsd fics

A Good Enough Reason to Keep Meeting Up (1,055 kudos) is part of Stray Gods series where the supernaturals are all real and Abilities came from them. This specific fic is about Chuuya and Atsushi's budding relationship. Or rather Chuuya's budding crush on Atsushi with malnourishment and chronic pain as the vessel to get there.

Money Makes the World Go Round (939 kudos) BSDxOuran crossover that is part of a collection of crossover fics about Atsushi attending high schools from different fandoms in order to attain the qualifications to enjoy the employment benefits his workplace has to offer. You can tell I'm old when that's my worldbuilding for writing high school AU

Moral Compass (923 kudos) the first installment of the Stray Gods series set post Dead Apple where unlocking his repressed memories about Shibusawa let the actual god Byakko to finally communicate with his Champion.

Delicate Job (791 kudos) A case fic written to explore Atsushi's role as a detective and how he would handle a case while prioritizing the victim's feelings unlike popular depictions of detectives where they use facts and logic to trample over people because the authors think that's what makes intelligent people cool

The God of Destruction Wished For Naught (752 kudos) the third installment of Stray Gods and a continuation of A Good Reason to Keep Meeting Up where Chuuya's body is falling apart, which could lead to Yokohama's destruction via blackhole, forcing Atsushi to make connections with the Port Mafia

I was a bit disappointed at first that my most kudos'd fic hasn't broken 2k kudos yet but seeing how my top 5 fics don't have a huge disparity between the amount of kudos makes me happy

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

yes! i don't always know how to reply but i especially makes the effort for people who leaves paragraphs on my fic. sometimes if i know the commenter i just reply on their discord lmao

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

oh that's hard. i have a lot of oneshots that are basically "and so, the cycle of suffering repeats yet again" and you'd think it would be the servampxbnha crossover where despite mahiru's best attempt to help deku get into UA even without a quirk so he will let go of his self-hatred for being born quirkless, in the end he receives One For All from All Might, undoing all the works mahiru-sensei has done to help deku but NO it's a bsd fic again that embodies this concept in the worst way possible as it's revealed that the event that happened in canon timeline was kickstarted by post-beast!atsushi who copes for his feelings for beast!dazai (both affection and hatred) by writing numerous worlds into existence to prove that dazai is a good man all along

wait. no. actually. the persona 5 fic where the phantom thieves deal with goro's sacrifice might be angstier considering this line

this is the question that actually made me want to do this interview. SO. be kiddie yarra during ff.net era. i was writing persona 4 fic where naoto says goodbye to souji. it was romantic. someone left a comment on my fic saying my writing got stolen and linked me to a naruto fic which made me go??? huh??? and turns out it was Word By Word the same fic but with souji being replaced as naruto, naoto as hinata, and the train station into konoha gate. it was insane.

not on AO3 i think?? someone DID contact me to ask for my permission to translate my fic to russian but i don't remember the details

my bsd x ouran fic has been complimented as staying true to the characters even though im throwing ouran into a serious series like bsd and vice versa so i like to think it's my ability to keep the core of the characters true even when putting them in a different AU unrelated to canon. also writing convoluted political struggles that makes sense.

They're everything to me I can not believe the old fandom slept on this ship. Canon itself is insane about them. I'm insane about them. I can't say too much because if I do then I just won't stop talking.

Zayday/Grace:

Canon really should've explored Zayday more in general but put these two together and there's actually such a tragic story there and I'm obsessed with it. Was she there to see Grace's breakdown. Did she leave Kappa the same time Grace did. Do you think Zayday ever gets asked about Grace. How often do you think she thinks about Grace in Stanford. How do you think she feels when Chanel's able to tell them it was a Devil in her car. How do you think she feels when she tries to visit and she's told Grace isn't there. How do you think she feels about the theory that reveal comes with.

Grace/Chanel:

Insane. Strangers to enemies to enemies-for-a-different-reason to enemies to friends to possibly lovers to enemies to one kills the other. Oh my god.

Zayday x Libby:

I still would love to know where pairing them up in S2 came from but also I am not complaining one bit. They're so weird they're adorable they complement each other so oddly well.

Sadie/Libby:

Made that bit more interesting in Devil!Libby AUs or our little idea where Hester sends only Chanel to Palmer but there's some questions worth asking about these two's relationship that canon doesn't really answer. Wish canon had stuck to their deal about outliving Chanel given that not only gives something to their dynamics with Chanel but ofc their dynamic with each other too.

Sadie/Chanel:

This is another duo we actually have a good amount of unanswered questions about but at the same time what canon gives us is enough to make fair guesses that still fit with their characters. It's a real shame S2 dangled Sadie over whatever tone-changing cauldron they threw Cassidy in because S2 had more than enough of a chance to have her interact with the others if it had pushed to get as much into each episode as S1 did (Ghost Stories is my favorite example of that)

Chanel/Libby:

Another Libby ship made that bit more interesting in Devil!Libby AUs but they're fucked up and fun to mess around with and I can understand the old fandom's focus on them. The questions for the prev two go for each of the Chanels pre-S1 it seems but they're major AU potential. Wish canon acknowledged the things it set up for them more.

Gigi/Wes:

Affectionately I hate them so much and it's not Gigi's fault whatsoever she's done nothing wrong here. I do like how cute their first scenes are and their little talk in the classroom in Chainsaw is still a great moment for Gigi but Wes is such a prick and his absolutely ridiculous character-butchering is hilarious and also canonically Wes is... a footnote in Gigi's story. The focus of her story in canon's present timeline is her relationship with her kids. I think she should be allowed to kill him a few times in hell.

Boone/Pete:

I hope you die I hope we both die you are coming down with me hand in unlovable hand.

Hoffel/Gigi:

They'd absolutely despise each other.

Chanel/Chad:

lmao. the ace lesbian and the bi with seven dead boyfriends.

Chad/Pete:

That ask about the ship between a 30 year old and 15 year old that turns about twenty later... It's ereri, isn't it?

As an ereri shipper for now almost a decade (damn) I've noticed two trends in the fandom when ageing up Eren.

The first one is the one I respect. It's mostly people who don't personally feel comfortable with Eren being 15 in their own works and only treat it as preference. They don't give shit to anyone for keeping his canon age. Curiously, they don't usually age him up to 18 except in AUs and instead make him 16/17. My theory is that these are ages that keep Eren in the realm of adolescence while globally accepted as the age of consent in a way 15 isn't. These people are chill.

The second trend is those who ship ereri but have been stung by the anti bug and have trouble accepting the ship in its whole problematic glory. They claim to only like post-timeskip ereri because he is an adult then, which is a bummer because 80% of content is pre-timeskip. They are influenced by a wider trend in the aot fandom that originates from people suffering from mild anti-ism and claim to only tolerate ereri if it's post-timeskip. These people won't harrass you directly, adopt a "discourse-neutral" stance and have enough internal logic to recognise they can't trash ereri when Eren is 18 lest they sound hypocritical. I've encountered many of those, I trust none of them.

To go back to the ereri shippers that want to exclusively ship them post-timeskip, there's two outcomes for them: either they eventually realise they like the ship too much and fiction is just fiction and embrace ereri in its full problematicness (yay!) OR they go full anti and start hating on the ship and bemoan how all the shippers are freaks and thirst on children (unyay).

Unfortunately, the latter is more common because the ereri fandom has since embraced the problematic appeal of the ship. To elaborate, in the past ereri shippers tried to appease and justify ourselves to those who hated us. We don't ship it bc of the age gap, we only like the dynamic... You get it. The truth is if an anti sees you shipping their NOTP they will find a way to call you problematic (*), there's no sense in arguing and ereri's problematicness is just blatant. So you have the ereri fandom producing lots of content that is problematic and occasionally dead dove (noncon and a/b/o are flourishing, the age gap is made more blatant, etc.) I personally love this but I can see how someone still under the influence of antis would freak out and run for the hills.

(*) I realised this when I found out the biggest ereri antis by far, eruri shippers, are in a bitter ship war with rivahan shippers which puzzled me because there's absolutely nothing remotely problematic about rivahan. And then I learned they called it problematic because of alleged homophobia (since Levi is supposedly gay and Hange is a woman). It's so flimsy, it's laughable.

What anon is referencing (if the ship is ereri of course) is, in my eyes, related to the second trend, someone who has been converted to antiism. Sigh.

And to end this long ass ask about ereri with some anti ridiculousness. Since ereri shippers are mostly unphased by Levi being about 30, some antis try to claim he is, no joke, a senior citizen. Yeah. It backfired and became memetic. Then some decided that since the age gap and abuse scaremongering doesn't work, perhaps claiming that Levi is Eren's father figure and the obvious implication of incest this has will. It also backfired.

Apologies for dropping this in your inbox, in my defense, shipping ereri since 2013 has made me the witness to so much.

Thanks for the tag @katierosefun! Took me a minute to finish this and post but.....

Name/nickname: kasey!

Fandoms: I feel like I tend to be on the fringes of fandom for most media lol, with Star Wars being the only one I've really been active in. But I guess the ones floating around in my brain most often are bly manor/hill house and Star Trek tng?

Two shots? I don't actually know if I have any, except if you count Room to Grow and A Moment and A Memory which were connected (completely forgot the titles of both of those for a sec, wow).

Most-popular multi-chapter fic: as far as subscriptions and kudos it's probably bloodlines, my fic about Dooku, Obi-Wan and Anakin getting stranded together. But more recently Rhapsody and Blue, my orchestra au, has gotten some lovely attention, which is nice bc that one's definitely closer to my heart!

Actual worst part of writing: "oh god that's a huge plot hole"

How you choose your titles: I usually try first for a theme from the fic that can be summed up in a word or two, but after that I pick from song lyrics or poems lol

Do you outline? Yes, usually! Or I at least come up with a plan. I have to outline for longer projects or I'll forget where I was going and run out of steam. For shorter ones, I usually try to at least have a beginning, middle, and end thought out from the beginning, even if they're not fleshed put! Doing that just keeps me from hitting a wall and fizzling out when I get stuck, bc I at least know what's supposed to come next.

Ideas you probably won't get around to, but wouldn't it be nice: hmm, I like to think I'll eventually get around to everything I want to? But there's definitely a handful of ideas I've started only to put them on the back burner—I was thinking about a sequel to Rhapsody in Blue for a while, but i just had a hard time deciding what the conflict in that story would be since Palpatine is dead lol. But I'm not saying I won't get to it, because I still might!

Callouts @ me: how—many times—can you put an em-dash in one paragraph—also you write about the same themes over and over again—

Best writing traits: Hmm, I think one of the things I've gotten good at over the years is structuring a scene/structuring a longer plot. It's something I think was hard to learn, like as far as pacing and the balance between dialogue and action, and how to weave multiple plot lines into something that feels cohesive. Reading my old writing vs recent stuff, that's just been something I've noticed!

Spicy tangential opinion: the whole "only queer people can write queer stories" idea hurts people who are closeted or questioning more than it protects anyone, and no one owes you any piece of information about their identity to justify their writing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i wont say EVERYTHING about it just bc we'd be here forever but here are the basics

NEO: it's a fantasy AU with some stuff taking place in the afterlife! Bentinck is a reindeer man bc there exists such things as "half-demons" which is a misleading name for basically people born as animal hybrids. the theory is that those who are born that way are destined to be bad people bc it's ALL been bad people...basically, all half-demons are evil but not all evil people are half-demons. HOWEVER, none of this has been proven. i love reindeer Bentinck sm he's so soft,,,, anyway. W&M shenanigans in heaven and hell. it's a VERY old AU

MENHERAMEN: named after the song by PEPOYO, which uses the word as a pun using both "menhera" and "ramen." Bentinck is the main character here, and it's a modern college AU....with some CRIME added in. to avenge the Many Bad Things that have happened to William both in his childhood and the present day, Bentinck kills a few people that he blames for it. it's the only AU i have actually "finished" as in i wrote all the main events for it and it is *checks notes* 117 pages. i consider it my best (and darkest) work! despite Bentinck making progressively worse decisions he's still a fav

Alien Alien: you are hopefully a little bit familiar with this one! i won't explain it as much bc i did make the Big Posts (tm) on them, but ofc, William is an alien king and Bentinck his service android. Bentinck is different than most androids bc William actually changed his purpose from "i serve the Prince of Orange" to "i choose my own life." however, most people fail to see that and Bentinck generally has a lot of Issues with it and himself. Keppel and Marlborough, being mostly human (Keppel is 1/4 Defender), have their own backstory here, and William is kidnapped and experimented on at one point (love that arc btw), but otherwise i kept most historical events in. i love this AU a normal amount

Seraph of the End: this AU is based off of the manga by the same name! i have...a lot to say about that manga but when it hits, it fucking HITS. in this AU, William had been working on resurrecting Mary bc it's possible, unaware that doing so would start a virus that would kill all of humanity (kids excluded!). he also works on creating cursed weapons (weapons bound to demons) by making Keppel and Marly demons (very unethically). he dies before any of this is finished, though, so Bentinck finishes the job for him...bringing W&M back to life and triggering the apocalypse. however, before he did so, Keppel in his demon form had attacked and nearly killed him, and to save his own life, Bentinck dragged himself to the current king of the vampires (Third Progenitor Duke of Monmouth, who should have been dead but curiously isn't.....) so he could become one as well. after all that, Bentinck is a Seventh Progenitor vampire, and he, along with W&M, live in the underground kingdom of the vampires. Bentinck has a rabbit that also serves as his weapon and it is ALWAYS with him. as with any AU, a Lot of Things Happen, and there's a lot of secrets that need discovering, including the one over why the apocalypse happened....W&M have no idea they caused it. i love this one very much bc it's very dramatic n stuff

DSMP: this is sort of a crack AU based on the events of the Dream SMP. disclaimer: dsmp fandom generally does not make hc's about or ship real people! rather it's those people's characters of the same name, like i am pretty sure the actual Wilbur Soot is not a terrorist. anyway, in this AU, William is the president-turned-dictator of one of the many factions of the land, and Bentinck is his vice president. Bentinck is also a huge fan of guns and bombs here, mainly so i could have him in a suit and shooting stuff. it was For Myself

The Lamb of Orange: basically just everything historical except they are all sheep. it's mostly an artistic idea, i just want to draw the anecdotes with them as sheep bc i love drawing sheep in silly clothes. the sheep designs usually have some fun quirk that i thought fit them, like James' horns that could run into his eyes if he grows them any longer or Keppel's chest floof constantly poking out of his clothes.

CSM: an AU roughly based off of Chainsaw Man! it doesn't take place in the modern day like the actual anime, though, so therefore it's more like....sword man or whatever. I'VE YET TO FIGURE IT OUT. for now i'm calling him the blade devil. it's not super developed yet, but it's really Bentinck-centric as well. Keppel sort of plays the role of Power here, in which he's a fiend, aka a devil inside a human body. mainly so i could draw him with horns. William is also supposed to be Very Very Mysterious here the same way Makima is

MASA: an AU roughly based off of some of the songs by MASA WORKS DESIGN. it actually focuses more on James, Bentinck is hardly there....but he appears at some point bc he's with William so i had to draw him. it's more artistic like The Lamb of Orange, lot of gore n stuff like MASA's works back in the day. definitely a tw for this one, though, lot of blood n guts mentions coming up! the rough idea is that James is afflicted with a curse that causes him to want to eat human flesh, no other food tastes good to him. it gets worse as he grows, and rather than try to hide it he embraces it, and if you get into bed with him you better expect to have a bite taken out of you!! he's also somewhat of a masochist, he enjoys being eaten as well and loves fiddling around with his intestines out in the open sometimes. also he'll just randomly cough up hearts. Mary inherited this curse as well, but she's far more terrified of it than he is. cannibalism is explored in other characters as well, but it's meant to be taken far less literally. despite Bentinck's creepy-ish appearance, he's actually pretty gentle here. one idea i had for him is for William and Keppel to share a feast of his heart, but i still need to figure out how to draw that,,,,

Warrior Cats: exactly what the title implies, Everything Happens but they are all warrior cats. the cat politics in this series are far less complicated than they are irl, but i try to fit everything in nonetheless. a lot of things that happened are very warrior cats-esque, like Monmouth's rebellion....like that is SUCH peak warrior cats istg. i actually have a list of some names n appearances here (also i threw cat genes to the wind ok)

sometimes i write about it bc honestly writing cats fighting is very fun

Yes I do <3 And it's not like I hide being a writer, I just don't make a big deal out of it, because I think a little degree of separation is nice. Makes it easier for me to pour my soul into things and then share them on the internet lol.

Anyways, the majority of things I write are in German, but on my sideblog @sergeantscribble I posted like, 3 or 4 buzzfeed unsolved AU oneshots that are in English. (That definitely need some reworking, tho I can't remember if I already edited them. And I should really put them on AO3 already... And maybe revive that blog in general lol). They were also my first attempts at English storys, and I think I didn't do too bad, though I definitely prefer writing in German :'D

I post all my German works on fanfiktion.de (here’s my profile), but since almost all of it is, well, fanfiction, i don't really "advertise" it, since people likely won't be interested in it when they're not in the fandom :'D (Also because there is also the cringy stuff I wrote when I was 13 and definitely lacked experience lol)

Then there's also a ton of stuff that I wrote and never published for various reasons, and I think it's time to share a little something from that. Here’s a little roughly 1k words long TLOZ oneshot I wrote like 2 years ago, that (hopefully) doesn’t require any knowledge of the games/story, just don’t think too hard about any of the names I mention :D (It was originally written in German, but I quickly translated it so anyone who’s curious could read it. I put both versions under the readmore, so just be prepared this post to be like 2k words longer once you click it :D)

It’s a lonely job to save the world

(English)

Panting, Link watched as the last Bokoblin fell dead to the ground whilst sheathing his sword. He had met one troop on the way and already saw the next one in the distance, which fortunately haven’t noticed him yet, as the monsters were gathered around a campfire and seemed busy conversing. Link would have given a lot to sit around a fire with his friends and have a carefree time as well, but he wasn't destined for that. His destiny was to save the world from Ganon. A task he didn't like to do, but which nobody else but him could do.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand and began searching the monsters for useful items. This time he was less fortunate with the loot, but he didn't mind. The next wave of enemies was already waiting for him, after all, and would probably reward him plentifully.

Link looked up at the sky and then took a look at his map. It was still a long way to the next town and thus to the next restaurant. If he wanted to get there before midnight, he should leave soon. However, he did not move from the spot. He stared almost absent-mindedly at a point in the grass and only his chest, which rose and fell with each breath, moved. Until Link took a particularly deep breath and sat down under a tree. His sword and shield at his side, he leaned against the trunk and looked up at the sky. Only a streak of orange remained of the day, otherwise the sky was dark blue; he could even see a few stars.

Link wanted to fulfill his task as quickly as possible, but in moments like these, he lacked the strength to do so. He couldn't pinpoint the moment he was told about his fate, the days gradually blurred into one another, but he longed for his old life deeply. When his biggest concerns were how to get the neighbor's chicken off the roof safely, where to hide after smashing some pumpkins with his friends, or how best to avoid Deku Scrubs and Deku Babas or, if there was no other way, defeat them. He never thought that he would one day miss this simple life as much as he did right now. He remembered the tension and nervousness he felt as he set out to fulfil his destiny very well. Back then it was an honour, it was daunting, new and exciting. There wasn't much left of that by now. By now, he was just tired. The fate of the world rested on his shoulders like an almost unbearable burden, but he could only shed that burden once Ganon was defeated. Only then would his life be able to return to its simple, normal state. Though he dreaded that final battle, he couldn't wait for it. He'd had enough of the fighting. He was tired of risking his life every day to protect others. He did the right thing, he knew he did, but it drained him. Even minor tasks, which he only did to please the various citizens of this world, to make their lives easier, or to take away some of their worries, began to tug at him. He would never stop, since their gratitude was a small glimmer of hope in Link's life, but now he also envied them for being able to live the life Link so missed.

But maybe he was just missing someone he could talk to about his fears. He needed to be the brave hero for the people, the hero for whom no task was too difficult, and no monster too threatening. They should feel safe. They should be confident in Link’s ability to save the world. Even if Link himself doubted his success.

Carrying the fate of the world on his shoulders was trying. If Link failed, he would not only lose his own life, he would take so many more innocent people with him. He simply could not fail. However, there was no guarantee that he would win. Link has found himself in tricky situations that he could only barely escape so many times now, he was painfully aware of this fact. But with whom could he share his fears without feeling bad afterwards? Whom could he tell about how often he's stood in front of monsters, and his body screamed to run, but he had to stay and fight? To whom could he admit the many times he was down on the ground and just wanted to give up? There was no one to share this burden with. The world should see him as a hero they can rely on.

All the more he needed moments like this, in which he could take a moment for himself and just breathe. The silence. Nobody who needed his help. No monster he had to defeat. Just relief. It was hard enough for him to relax, because he was constantly reminded of how precious every minute was. Over time, however, Link also learned that he had to allow himself these moments of rest in order to process his fears, worries and experiences, and to give his body the chance to regain the strength it has lost during the various fights. He couldn't risk being inattentive and weakened. It was too dangerous.

Meanwhile, the sun had completely set and Link sat under the tree with his eyes closed and waited until he felt ready to continue his journey. The night was cool, but that didn't bother him. He took it positively, it reduced the likelihood that he would doze off.

Link was only ready to fight again when he heard quick footsteps in the distance. He saw a Hylian running away from two Bokblins and screaming for help. As he got up and grabbed his sword and shield, he glanced at the monster camp in the distance. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one who noticed the Hylian, so the monsters moved away from their campfire and either looked for the cause of the sudden noise, or immediately took up their weapons. Without hesitating any longer, Link ran, ready to take on any monster and fulfill his duty to protect the citizens of Hyrule.

Link würde einiges dafür geben, jetzt ebenfalls mit seinen Freunden um ein Feuer zu sitzen und eine unbeschwerte Zeit zu haben, aber dafür war er nicht bestimmt. Sein Schicksal war es, die Welt vor Ganon zu retten. Eine Aufgabe, die er nicht gerne tat, die aber niemand außer ihm erledigen konnte.

Er wischte sich mit seinem Handrücken den Schweiß von seiner Stirn und begann, die Monster nach nützlichen Gegenständen zu durchsuchen. Diesmal hatte er weniger Glück mit der Ausbeute, machte sich aber nichts daraus. Die nächste Welle von Feinden wartete bereits auf ihn und würde ihn vermutlich reichlich belohnen.

Link sah hinauf zum Himmel und warf dann einen Blick auf seine Karte. Bis zur nächsten Stadt und somit zur nächsten Gaststätte war es noch ein weiter Weg. Wollte er noch vor Mitternacht dort ankommen, sollte er allmählich aufbrechen. Jedoch bewegte er sich nicht von der Stelle. Er starrte fast schon geistesabwesend auf einen Punkt im Gras und einzig und allein sein Brustkorb, der sich mit jedem Atemzug hob und senkte, bewegte sich. Bis Link einen besonders tiefen Atemzug nahm und sich unter einen Baum setzte. Sein Schwert und Schild griffbereit neben sich, lehnte er sich am Stamm an und schaute in den Himmel. Nur ein oranger Strich war noch vom Tag übrig, sonst war der Himmel dunkelblau; man konnte sogar schon ein paar Sterne sehen.

Link wollte seine Aufgabe schnellstmöglich erfüllen, aber in Momenten wie solchen fehlte ihm die Kraft dazu. Er konnte nicht mehr genau sagen, wann ihm sein Schicksal mitgeteilt wurde, die Tage waren mit der Zeit ineinander verschwommen, aber er sehnte sich sehr nach seinem alten Leben. Als seine größten Sorgen waren, wie er das Huhn vom Nachbarn sicher vom Dach bekam, wo er sich verstecken sollte, nachdem er mit seinen Freunden ein paar Kürbisse zerschlagen hat, oder wie er am besten Dekus und Dekuranhas aus dem Weg gehen oder sie, wenn keine andere Möglichkeit bestand, besiegen konnte. Er hätte nie gedacht, dass er dieses einfache Leben irgendwann so sehr missen würde, wie er es gerade tat. Er erinnerte sich noch gut an die Anspannung und Nervosität, die er spürte, als er sich damals auf den Weg machte, sein Schicksal zu erfüllen. Damals war es für eine Ehre, respekteinflößend, neu und aufregend. Mittlerweile war davon nicht mehr viel übrig. Mittlerweile war er nur noch müde. Das Schicksal der Welt lag wie eine kaum noch tragbare Last auf seinen Schultern, aber er konnte diese Last erst dann loswerden, wenn Ganon besiegt war. Erst dann würde sein Leben zur Normalität zurückkehren können. Obwohl er sich vor diesem finalen Kampf fürchtete, konnte er ihn kaum abwarten. Er hatte genug von den Kämpfen. Er hatte genug davon, Tag für Tag sein Leben aufs Spiel zu setzen, um andere zu beschützen. Er tat zwar das Richtige, aber es laugte ihn aus. Selbst kleinere Aufgaben, die er nur erledigte, um den verschiedenen Bewohnern dieser Welt einen Gefallen zu tun, ihre Leben zu erleichtern oder ihnen einen Teil ihrer Sorgen zu nehmen, begannen an ihm zu zerren. Er würde nie damit aufhören, da ihre Dankbarkeit kleine Lichtblicke in Links Leben waren, aber mittlerweile beneidete er sie auch darum, dass sie das Leben führen konnten, welches Link so fehlte.

Vielleicht fehlte ihm aber auch nur jemand, dem er seine Sorgen anvertrauen konnte. Für die Völker musste er der tapfere Held sein, dem keine Aufgabe zu schwer und kein Monster zu bedrohlich war. Sie sollten sich sicher fühlen. Sie sollten wissen, dass Link es schaffen würde, sie alle zu retten. Selbst, wenn Link daran zweifelte.

Das Schicksal der Welt in der Hand zu haben, war belastend. Würde Link scheitern, würde er nicht nur sein Leben lassen, er würde so viele mehr mit sich ins Verderben stürzen. Er konnte einfach nicht versagen. Jedoch gab es keine Garantie dafür, dass er siegen würde. Link befand sich schon so oft in brenzligen Situationen, aus denen er fast nicht mehr herausgekommen wäre, dass er sich dieser Tatsache schmerzlich bewusst war. Aber mit wem konnte er seine Ängste guten Gewissens teilen? Wem sollte er davon erzählen, wie oft er schon vor Monstern stand und alles in ihm danach schrie, wegzurennen, er aber bleiben und kämpfen musste? Wem konnte er anvertrauen, dass er schon oft auf dem Boden lag und einfach aufgeben wollte? Es gab niemanden, mit dem er diese Last teilen konnte. Die Welt sollte ihn als einen Helden sehen, auf den sie sich verlassen kann.

Umso mehr brauchte er Augenblicke wie diese, in denen er aufatmen konnte. Die Stille. Niemand, der seine Hilfe brauchte. Kein Monster, welches er besiegen musste. Es fiel ihm schwer genug, sich zu entspannen, da er ständig im Hinterkopf hatte, wie kostbar jede Minute war. Mit der Zeit lernte Link jedoch auch, dass er sich diese Momente der Ruhe gestatten musste, um seine Ängste, Sorgen und Erlebnisse zu verarbeiten, und damit sein Körper neue Kraft schöpfen konnte. Er konnte es nicht riskieren, unaufmerksam und geschwächt zu sein. Es war zu gefährlich.

Mittlerweile war die Sonne komplett untergegangen und Link saß mit geschlossenen Augen unter dem Baum und wartete darauf, dass er sich in der Lage fühlte, loszugehen. Die Nacht war kühl, aber dies störte ihn nicht. Er sah es positiv, dies verringerte die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass er wegdösen würde.

Link war erst wieder in Kampfbereitschaft, als er schnelle Schritte in der Ferne hörte. Er erblickte eine Hylianerin, welche vor zwei Bokblins wegrannte und kurz darauf um Hilfe schrie. Während er aufstand und nach seinem Schwert und seinem Schild griff, schaute er kurz zu dem Monsterlager in der Ferne. Leider war er nicht der einzige, der auf die Hylianerin aufmerksam wurde, so entfernten sich die Monster von ihrem Lagerfeuer und suchten entweder die Ursache für die plötzlichen Geräusche, oder nahmen direkt ihre Waffen in die Hand. Ohne noch länger zu zögern, rannte Link los, bereit, es mit sämtlichen Ungeheuern aufzunehmen und seine Pflicht, die Bürger von Hyrule zu schützen, zu erfüllen.

Hello! I'm Vincent (or any nickname of Vincent) I'm 22 years old and an avid horror fan with a main interest in Halloween , Scream, and Dead By Daylight. I will be upfront I have a learning disability and other brain issues so there will occasionally be spelling or grammar errors in replies. (just saying this here encase I forget to credit in an ask) I consider them a co-runner of sorts with how much we communicate about ask and how they do art pretty often inspired from writing I do.

I go over all my writing multiple times to try and insure the best quality I can offer. I'm also working really hard currently to further my writing ability so you may notice the way I write changing every so often as I develop betters skills and my own style.

Do note I run multiple other rp blogs so replies may be delayed and slow but feel free to poke me here or shoot me a message on discord BimboBarbie. You can also message my discord to plan rps and if you want we can rp on discord as well if you do not have a blog with muses/prefer discord rping for certain threads.

This is a horror blog after all dealing with mature themes so all interactions (whether or not they're nsfw) must be done with people who are at least 18+ If I notice a blog who is ran by a minor following and interacting I will block.

All common triggers will be tagged in the post as tw: trigger and also just the word without the tw: if any replies have extreme violence/gore/mature themes there will be a warning above the reply and the reply under a read more. Very minor violence etc will not be under a read more. If I miss a tag or if you need an uncommon trigger tagged let me know and I will fix it asap.

I do have multiple muses for this blog so be specific which ask is for which muse! If you don't I will either do both or just pick one randomly. Currently there are only two verses for Haddie and Mikaela each detailed on their pages. I'm willing to develop other verses/au's if you're interested in doing an rp within another game/movie verse if I'm familiar with it. This blog is also OC/Cross fandom friendly! This is a multishipping/multiverse blog so don't expect if our muses get in a relationship I won't ship them with others muses. Though unless discussed assume all ships take place in a different timeline (basically everything is the same but they date person B instead of person A). With Mikaela and Haddie they are dating in all verses pretty much or very obviously interested in each other so if your muse is not okay with a open/poly relationship than they probably won't work with the girls.

A book revolved around my own {kinda self indulgent} headcanons! It's good to note that these will slowly be put together like an AU. {-which they kind of are, I use these for all the little ficlets I write} Most of this won't involve canon - I mean, come on, it's a headcanons book - and I won't be using the manga because I haven't read it, but I will be using the characters from it.

do these for any characters, even the ones that don't get much love,

(Lau, Ran-Mao, Mey-rin, Madam Red, etc etc)

So if you have someone in mind, go ahead and throw them at me!

I do mostly every situation and scenario EXPECT NSFW, it just makes me uncomfortable to write and post.

It's also good to note I do general headcanons with and involving the show and do headcanons with s/o and reader's

I do tend to spiral into alot more detail than I need to, but I do it so people can enjoy it! But if any of my work upsets you or makes you uncomfortable, please just comment or message me and I'll take it down, I want everyone to have a good reading this.

Not sure if it's just me, but the Kuro fandom looks kinda dead right now, so I figured I'd start dumping my hoard of unused content on here. {And I may have been on a Kuroshitsuji spree, scavenging for new content for my favorites-}

Undertaker and Othello

Chapter Text

-Although neither would ever say it, they were once together- although it was a extremely long time ago and considered a quick fling

-They both thought they have feelings for each other and jumped on the chance, but it turns out it was just a huge misunderstanding

-There were no hard feelings in it and it didn't ruin their friendship - plus, it only lasted about a month before they came to their conclusion

-It was never publicly announced that they were ever together and the only person who ever knew and found out was the old librarian, but the only comment he had on it was on how everyone was finding love besides himself - he wasn't bitter about them, but about himself

-They chose not to talk about it because, one, Undertaker is a legend and it would certainly dent his reputation, and two, it's just overall embarrassing

Chapter 3: Grell and Ronald

Chapter Text

-They have a very strong sibling-like relationship

-Grell is like that popular older sister that, while they are rude and saracastic, they'd never actually hurt you in any way- and would actually go out of their way to help you

("Oh, so that guy over there took your coffee? Oh, he better be ready to get his ass BEAT-")

-Ronald is the flirty younger brother, who, despite all his effort, never gets the girl- but you bet he's not going to stop trying

-If one were to, say, try and throw a massive party, they'd be right there by each others sides, helping in whatever way they possibly could

-Or, say, one was to get in trouble and be in risk of overtime, they'd have each others backs

-With this in mind, they've had to cover for each other on multiple occasions, sometimes serious, sometimes not so serious

-The worst thing they both had to take the fall for was when Grell accidentally put salt instead of sugar in the coffee machine without looking and Ronald had forgot to order the employee supplies for that month

-Saying the whole office was pissed and in mass chaos is an underestimate

Chapter 4: Reaper Scythes

Chapter Text

-Reapers, when reborn, can naturally summon their scythe, but need the essential training to learn how

-All their scythes are shaped as garden tools, but can range from hedge trimmers to lawnmowers

-As the generations pass, the scythes get more modern

-Henceforth, Undertaker has an old school scythe, which would be pretty rare to get in the present

-Grell and Ronald have more modern scythes for their time, which are the types of scythes you would see nowadays

Chapter 5: William T. Spears

Chapter Text

-Underneath his cold exterior, he truly cares for his co workers, so much so, he'd risk his life for them

-He thinks emotions get in the way of work, so that's why he keeps them to himself, but he does spare a laugh once and a rare while

-When he talks to his co-workers in a cold distant voice, he doesn't mean to make them disheartened, he's just doing his job

-And when he bops Grell over the head, he doesn't mean to hurt her, he thinks it's his only way to calm her down

Chapter 6: Undertaker

Chapter Text

-This man has crippling anxiety

-As stated in the chapter above, he is one hell of an actor, so it comes without questioning that he hides

-If you were to break down his forced smiles and walls, you would know of all of his insecurities and his worries

-While he doesn't stutter, he does shake profusely, henceforth, he has very horrible handwriting

Chapter 7: Undertaker

-This man is one hell of an actor

-It's just what comes with all the forced smiles - though some are real, it just takes alot more effort

-He's able to keep a straight face whilst fuming with rage on the inside, and he's able joke around and smile and laugh whilst in excruciating pain

-Overall, it's a great talent to have as an informant

Chapter 8: Demons

Chapter Text

-Demons are able to break contracts off if they desire to, although it is excruciatingly painful and has a high chance in death

-The ones who survive are usually ones who cannot feel pain or just have a high pain tolerance

-Along with surviving the awful burning pain, you have the scar of the contract symbol burned into whatever place you put

-Example, Ciel's eye would go back to blue, but would have the contract symbol, and Alois's mark would blend more into his tongue, just look more like an oddly shaped cut

Chapter 9: The Scythe Incident

-There had been a day that somehow and someway everyone's scythe had been switched around with each other

-To this day, no one knows how this had happened or who had done it, but saying it was chaos was the world's biggest understatement in history

-The first and most known swap was Grell's, since every time she gets mad, she summons her scythe and revs it once to scare people

-Expect this time she almost killed everyone in her vicinity with the monstrous death scythe she held

-Grell had gotten the old legend's scythe - and honestly, there has probably never been a more terrifying match in the world

-Just for a list of some of the known reapers swap's:

*Ronald and William

*Eric Slingby had Sascha's (or well- at least their camera)

*Alan had a tall sword-like Scythe belonging to a Edith Smith

*Ludger had gotten one of the small newbie scythes

-The office basically turned into a rush to find your scythe fiasco

-Many were injured, and many had agreed that this was worst experience of their lives

-Some scythes were engraved with the reaper's name or nickname, so some reapers just stood atop their desk or whatever table they could find shouting names and waving around scythes

-Others were running around with one of kind death scythes and trying to locate the person it matched with (by match, I mean match their aesthetic, much like Grell and her scythe)

-Eventually, Undertaker was seen casually climbing through a window and gliding through the crowd, then seen casually grabbing his scythe from Grell - who was flaunting the scythe like she owned it

-It was one of the best highlights besides seeing the old librarian desperately jump from desk to desk to tackle a newbie for his old scythe

-When he did work in the dispatch, he had a rival, who was the only born female reaper the dispatch has had as of the present (All women are made secretaries, but she was an exception)

-She had been trained right beside him and - since the dispatch didn't really like the idea of a working female reaper - worked in his office with him

-Her name was Edith Smith

-She would taunt him and knock into him and he would do the same - he was young and he was dumb

-They have dozens of brawls, some out in the mortal realm, some in the dispatch - those usually were the most violent

-One newbie - of the time - documented the whole experience in his own narrative - he even went into the gritty details of it to get a good image in people's heads

-If you bribed the old librarian, he could possibly let you borrow the original copy for a day or two as long as you promise to not wreck it or keep it out longer than his deadline - or else there would be some serious consequences

-Some seniors will admit that they were scared of the duo, because even though they wanted to tear out each others throats, when they were challenged, they were unstoppable

-They ran on spite and anger, it was concerning

-Undertaker hadn't seen the lady since he 'retired' but they weren't on terrific terms when he did leave, so he doubts she'll want to see him again

(Although Edith herself would beg to differ, she would love to see him again and she enjoyed their quarrels and brawls. It was one of her favorite things to do and he left her without a word, and it did hurt her - but there isn't much to do when she's stuck to a desk all day.)

Chapter 11: HOLY CRAP---

Okay, wow, I just looked at this book and saw the amount of hits and sobbed for five minutes straight, so I'd like to thank all of you for the attention. I really never thought this would go anywhere and to look back at my account and see the views??? Yeah, I got extremely emotional. For this occasion, I'll add a spam of relationship headcannons and other headcannons by tomorrow. Chapter 12: Undertaker in a Relationship

Summary:

Oh?? My God?? We hit over 2100 hits??? Holy shit thank you! I know I've been on like- a hiatus for a while but it means alot to me to know people still read these! I hit a sort of writers block and I've been stuck with it for a long while now and I'm tying to currently get out of it, so updates will be slow! I just started my winter break, so I should have some time to do some more HCs and such

Being in a relationship with Undertaker is... odd to say the least

-By the time you two together you would have at least had an idea of what he was like and were prepared for him to be just a bit more romantic than that

-But boy were you wrong

-This man is clingy, and I mean it

-You can barely go to the next room over without him practically whining

-He's quite similar to a cat in alot of ways

-He likes to mess with items he hasn't seen before

-He likes to sprawl across your lap

-And he also just loves to suffocate you with his mop of hair whilst he sleeps

-That last one isn't intentional and he apologizes for it every time

-He's a huge fan of cuddles

-He'll take whatever he can get for cuddles, he just likes to know your still there next to him, it calms him

-Undertaker is also quite talkative

-He likes to know how your day's been, your favorites, what embarrassing moments did you have as a kid, etc etc

-If your not one for talking, don't worry, he can carry the conversation himself and smile as you laugh as he talks about how he once starred in the play of Hamlet

-Another fun fact about Undertaker is that he tends to be old fashion

-He never really grasped the newer concepts of everything and instead chose to stick to what he knew best

-He sets up small romantic dates by moonlight, gifts you flowers and small trinkets from who knows where, and calls you cute petnames like 'dear' and 'love'

-Overall he's an amazing partner that would be by your side til' the very end, and the experience would be wonderful

It's the wifey

-Being in a relationship with Grell isn't at all what you'd expect

-You would be used to the loud, flamboyant side of Grell just about 24/7, so once you were in a relationship, it would be quite the shocker to see a much calmer side of her

-She would be more docile, her voice lower and her body more relaxed

-Sure she was still flamboyant at times but not at all like the big act she put on for work

-She's actually insanely smart, and she lets you watch her modify and fix up her complex death scythe, that, mind you, was made by her own two hands with no help

-She's such a strong woman and your so proud of her

-Like you go baby, you go

-She's a great cheerleader

-Her just sitting there encouraging you the entire time doing something, whether it be big or small, is just so nice and calming

-She's also big on snuggling and nuzzling

-She likes to feel loved and wanted

-Treat her like a queen and you'll win her heart for the rest of eternity

-Her petnames for you are 'darling', 'sweetheart', 'sweetie', and 'My Princess/Prince/Majesty'

-She likes to also make some of her own clothes, and will make you whatever you so please

-She's very crafty and independent and overall just an amazing partner

Chapter 14: Elizabeth Crevan (Formly Smith)

-Elizabeth is Bisexual, and born on August 19th

-People refer to Elizabeth as Death's Corpse Bride. She loves it, and takes the title happily. Once Unnie picked up on it he started to constantly use it

-Lizzie's voice claim is Bust Your Knee Caps by Pomplamoose

-Elizabeth gossips and rants to Adam, the dispatch librarian -Adam wants to fucking punch her

-Elizabeth's favorite flowers are Roses. She likes to prick her fingers on them and watch the blood swell up. It's an idiotic thing to do, but she does it none the less. She's like them because they give her a feeling of nostalgia. She can't tell why, but it probably has to do with a repressed human memory. This is the reason Elizabeth designed her scythe the way she did

-At her wedding, Elizabeth wore a white suit instead of a dress, and her husband, Undertaker, wore a puffy black dress, as she requested way back when they were still at dispatch

Injured - I forgot about this fic but HAHA it's about Zevran helping Kira deal with the effects of the Calling. There is no real happy ending. They have no cure yet - it's just a snapshot of the pain she's going through.

ohhh it's been long since deleted but a fic of Modern AU! Nox and [redacted] on the night before their wedding having a nightcap to calm their nerves. it got me into my writing program ;w; it's still one of my fave things i have written. i want to write something similar for cove/elara or even for ilya and nox in their book series someday

Why not? If the characters speak another language and you're doing your proper research to make sure it's correct, go for it.

i am always writing and i have fics for fandoms you couldnt even imagine no but seriously i am working on some fic rn for Blooming Panic, Our Life, and Andromeda Six bc i have been in a VN mood lately so keep an eye out? question mark? EDIT: actually better answer - Avatar: The Last Airbender. i've been wanting to write zuko/oc fic for ages but havent done it yet and dunno if i ever will

20. what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I don't go back to it anymore bc it's so old but Echoes was the first baby I ever finished and it sits in a very special place in my heart. The second one was a massive fictober piece for __________ that i have since privated but won me my first and only NaNoWriMo so that's also p special.

20 Questions For Fic Writers

So, I am brand new to the posting fics online scene and don't have much to back up these questions with. Most of what I've written are personal WIPs I will probably never release if finished, and I don't release much due to my inability to finish stories as well as my writing mostly being personal. So, since I've only got two released fics out due to this, I'm going to use my WIPs to answer some of these.

Thanks so much to @daboyau for the tag! This was fun!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

2 at the moment. Much of what I write is personal or I don't finish it, so I haven't released many.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

29,684, though with all my countless WIPs it's around 500,000

3. What fandoms do you write for?

TMNT, TF2, Creepypasta, MLP, and Hetalia, though I've only posted one of the TMNT fics and the others will never see the light of day!

(They're not finished and won't be).

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Of the two that are on there, the 2003 Lighthouse AU ranks above Work or Death in kudos.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Of course! But I'm also a bit (a lot) antisocial, even on the Internet. So I know there's going to be comments I want to respond to but don't know how to 😅

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

So, I tend to fail no matter how hard I try at writing bad or angsty endings. Somehow everything always ends up going well for the characters, even if I want them to fail. I'm great at giving trauma, just not giving bad endings. I also don't finish a lot of what I write, so there's a small pool to pick from here.

That being said, there is one I know of where both of the endings were planned before I even started writing it, (and no, I'm not finished with it yet), and one of them is a "bad" ending, so to speak. I don't want to talk to much about it, since it is a personal project, but essentially the main character has traveled to a different time and place where an alternate version of her family exists, except all of them are dead but one of her brothers. A lot happens, of course, but it eventually ends up with him being so injured he's rapidly dying. She has the ability to heal him, but he tells her not to because he wants to be with his family again. They have a whole emotional conversation and he dies in her arms. And then she's reunited with her real brothers hours later and won't let the one who died in her arms go for days afterwards. So, like, a bittersweet type of thing.

And that is quite literally the only angsty ending I've ever written. Angsty middles, however, is all I do, and angsty beginnings are a specialty of mine.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The good ending of the one above! After years of battling through several different places on the way home, most of which consisting of alternate versions of people she knew, she finally got to make it back to her real family! They thought she was dead, so the reunion is of course filled with tears and group hugs and a lot of feelings. But that technically happens in both endings. The thing that makes it the good ending is that she was able to save her alternate brother and take him home with her, so he had a new family to love. (Yes I know the new family being his old family is a whole thing that could be psychologically bad. I assure you there's circumstances in place that change that whole perspective, but it'd take forever to explain).

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not as of yet, but we'll see what happens! If I do, it's fine by me because I loved it enough to release it and that's all that matters to me.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have indeed tried to write smut before. My brain apparently doesn't do that. But that was also a super long time ago when I didn't know as much about that whole subject as I probably should if I want to write it properly, so maybe I'll try again and see how it goes. Not really interested in writing it now though, with all the WIPs I have putting me so far away from that mindset.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I've never been super interested in crossovers. Official crossovers are cool to see, but I don't usually look beyond that. I've found a small handful of crossover fics I liked, but have never written any. I guess my brain just prefers to stay within the world I'm working with.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope! I hope I never do, but I'm aware it's always a possibility, unfortunately.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but if anyone ever wanted to, I'd be honored.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I was once writing an original story (that I still hope to finish one day) and was telling a guy I was talking to about it. He came up with his own character to help me beef up the story background a bit, and we had a whole storyline about his character meeting the MC. We were going to determine how he fit into the main plot once I'd developed it more. Sadly, I lost inspiration for that story and fell out of touch with that guy, so that most likely won't happen. But that's the closest I've come to co-writing anything, except for a little back-and-forth with @allyheart707. That was fun!.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Uhhhh I'm not really into shipping? I enjoy seeing other people's ships, but I'm not majorly into the romance part of watching or reading things unless it's the main point of the story. So, if a ship isn't canon, then I'm not obsessed over it or looking for or making content for it.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Every. Single. One of them. There are a couple from my high school years I could care less about now, but all the others are still interests and still things I want to get finished. I have two original stories I already started writing, but got lost in the plot so I had to pause. I've got at least eight that I'm working on right now, all TMNT related except for two, and there's probably a couple more somewhere but I've lost track. But yeah I want to finish all of them. Once I can get them straight enough in my head to do so.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm pretty good with dialogue and character/world building. I tend to do a lot of go-with-the-flow with conversations, and I've been told they feel very natural. And I always know everything about who is in my story and why they are where they are and why the world or area is the way it is before I even start writing, which makes everything fall into place a lot easier.

I'm also pretty good at making small points, forgetting about them, and somehow coming up with something later on that connects perfectly with it in a way that makes it seem like that was the plan all along, even if it was done mysteriously enough the reader couldn't figure it out but the clues were all there. I really don't know how I do that, but I'm not complaining.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot. I'm horrible at developing a proper sequence of events or, you know, what we're even doing here. Are we fighting someone? Uh, maybe, but why? What'd they do? What are we trying to to stop them from doing? If we're not fighting someone, what world-saving quest are we going on, and what exactly are we meant to do on it? I have no clue. But everyone here is super developed and has a backstory and detailed list of powers if you need them. My go-with-the-flow attitude is a hindrance here because I can't connect everything if there's no greater picture to weave the threads through. Lighthouse is some strange outlier and I have no idea how it came together so cohesively.

I'm also not the best at describing things in a not straightforward kinda way. I can explain to you in detail how something looks and how the characters are moving and acting in the scene, but I can't do it in a fun way with analogies or flowing descriptions of emotions or any kind of whimsy to fill the scene out and immerse the reader further.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

If I specifically want the words spoken in the other language for a particular storytelling purpose, I'll do so. But only for, like, a couple words. If there needs to be longer sentences or conversation in another language, I'll clarify that that's happening and just write it in English. Unless I'm trying to make the reader feel like they're in the room but and don't know what the other characters are saying, maybe that'd work. But the couple times I've done it, it was the MC speaking in another language, so it felt more important to see it from her perspective and put it in English so the reader would understand her.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

TF2! My main character from one of my original works was originally my TF2 OC, but she ended up having such a complex story built around her that I pulled her out and gave her her own world. However, my first ever story was inspired by my uncle's book, and I believe it was meant to exist in his world. It doesn't have a fandom around it, as far as I know, but it was the first time I wrote within someone else's world. It was the first time I wrote at all, I'm pretty sure.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

My favorite one I've released is the 2003 Lighthouse AU, because it features my favorite turtle boys and took a lot of research to develop properly, and I love the way it came out. My favorite one I've written out of everything is the one I mentioned in 6 and 7. It's so complex and takes place at the almost end of a very long journey MC has taken to get home. So emotions are high, back stories are long, characters are tired and don't want to be here but still have to do this thing, and new bonds are created.

There's a lot that happens before the start of that story, but it's a personal work so I don't care too much for writing all that out. But it creates such a cesspool of history and emotion, all negative and positive mixed together, leading to certain character development moments I just constantly come back to and watch over and over again in my brain. And then there's the two endings that create whole separate sets of overwhelming emotions. I just can't get enough of my MC and her relationship with her alternate brother. They're perfect to me.

So it got a little wordy, whoops. I love talking about the stuff I write, and probably a little too much. And I would love to see @wendigomahana or @allyheart707 try this for themselves. Or just ignore it if you want. If anyone else happens to see this and wants to give it a shot, go for it!
