IT. IS. DONE.
The short story that took me a solid week - cumulative days - going to bed at 3am almost every night (4am last night) is complete!
2000 words achieved!
Story - ENTERED.
I'm so scared now!!!
I have a headache, but, oh man, is the relief from finishing this project satisfying. :)
This was the most challenging writing project on a deadline that I've ever been involved in. Me and short stories mix as well as sand and lemon juice.
But, you know, this gave me excellent practice at editing my novel. I'd stopped at a point where I had no idea how to condense the important details while still keeping the feel of the story.
Even if this doesn't win, or place in the short list, I've gained a crap ton of experience. Earned the hard, painful, sleepless night filled, aggravating, want-to-throw-my-computer... way.
..
Would you guys like me to post it here?

Barcelona transfer news LIVE: Neymar £273m demand, deal agreed, Lionel Messi text request | Football | Sport
Barcelona transfer news LIVE – September 2
Barcelona have ended their pursuit of Neymar for this summer and will return in 2020.
Juventus want to sign Ivan Rakitic from the Catalan giants.
Lionel Messi sent Neymar a text message to try to secure the Brazilian’s signing.
La Liga clubs have until midnight (11pm UK) to make any last-minute transfers
Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has joined Celta Vigo on a season-long loan
No sign of Bruno…
There has been no change in Real Madrid’s pursuit of Bruno Fernandes with around four hours until the La Liga deadline.
The Daily Mail had claimed that the Portuguese international would join for around £63million today – but he remains a Sporting Lisbon player.
The Spanish deadline closes at 11pm tonight.

Neymar in January?
Barcelona could try to sign Neymar in January.
The Catalan giants spent the majority of the summer trying to bring the Brazilian international back to the Nou Camp – but PSG rejected several different deals.
But the chase isn’t over.
Spanish website Sport claim Barcelona could try and complete a deal for the 27-year-old in January or next summer.
It’s claimed the relationship between the two clubs has improved and the Spanish champions are ‘convinced’ Neymar will be back for the 2020/2021 campaign.

Barcelona done deal
Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has joined Celta Vigo.
The Brazilian star joins the La Liga outfit on a season-long loan deal having penned a one-year extension with Barcelona.
The 26-year-old’s contract was set to expire in June 2020 – meaning Rafinha would have been eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of Spain.
Marca claim manager Ernesto Valverde accepts that he’s well stocked in midfield and the meteoric rise of 16-year-old talent Ansu Fati provide pivotal in the decision.

PSG’s Neymar demands
PSG wanted a whopping £273million for Neymar.
That’s according to French newspaper La Parisien, who claim Barcelona simply couldn’t match their demands.
It’s also claimed that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told PSG’s players that Neymar wouldn’t be sold this summer unless an enormous offer was submitted.
The report says Al-Khelaifi was confident that the Catalan giants wouldn’t be able to cough up £273m for the Brazilian international.

Mauro Icardi to PSG
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is close to joining PSG.
New boss Antonio Conte has made it clear that Icardi, 26, has no future at the San Siro – despite a phenomenal 124 goals in 219 appearances.
Now, the Argentine will join Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani in Paris.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Icardi has arrived in the French capital and is currently undergoing a medial.
It’s said Icardi will extend his contract with Inter before joining PSG on a season-long loan with the option to buy for £63million.

Messi shortlist
Lionel Messi may be currently out injured but he’s still being recognised for his amazing season last term.
The superstar is on the final shortlist for the #TheBest awards for Best Player and Best Goal.
It comes after he helped Barca to La Liga and the Champions League semi-finals.
Done Deal: Navas joins PSG
And as expected, Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has joined PSG for £12million.
The Costa Rica international was announced moments after Alphonse Areola joined Zinedine Zidane’s side on a season-long loan.
Navas, 32, has signed a four-year deal and is expected to slot straight into Thomas Tuchel’s starting XI with Sergio Rico and Marcin Bulka behind him.
“The club wants to show his gratitude and love for his behaviour and his delivery in the five seasons he has defended the Real Madrid shirt,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
“Keylor Navas has been part of one of the most important stages of our history, in which he has won 12 titles, including three European Cups. Real Madrid wishes you the best in your new career.”
Done Deal: Alphonse Areola signs
Real Madrid have completed the signing of PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
The 26-year-old French international joins on a season-long loan without the option to make the deal permanent.
PSG tweeted: “Alphonse Areola joins Real Madrid until 30th June 2020. The 26-year-old shot-stopper, capped three times for France, is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2023. The loan deal with Real Madrid does not include a purchase option.”
The announcement is expected to trigger the arrival of Keylor Navas to PSG.
Coutinho to blame?
PSG would have reportedly been more inclined to let Neymar join Barcelona if Philippe Coutinho had moved to the French capital.
Forbes claim both clubs were discussing the possibility, with Barcelona wanting to include the playmaker in the Neymar deal.
It’s reported PSG may have been more open to letting Neymar leave had Coutinho joined them on loan.
Instead, Coutinho joined Bayern Munich for a season-long loan deal with an option to buy for £110m.

Neymar desperation
Neymar wanted a move to Barcelona so badly that he reportedly offered to pay £17.7million to help finance a return.
Neymar now looks set to stay at PSG after months of speculation that he would leave the French capital.
And Sky Sports now claim that he was so eager to move back to the Nou Camp that he offered to contribute towards any deal.
Messi return date
Lionel Messi is yet to play for Barcelona this season having injured his calf.
Ernesto Valverde hopes to have his No 10 back for the Valencia clash on September 14.
“We hope that for the game against Valencia he might be available,” Valverde said.
“Then the Champions League starts and we hope to have him back for that but we will see how he progresses in these next two weeks.”

Emre Can incoming?
Juventus are reportedly willing to offer Emre Can in order to sign Ivan Rakitic.
Sport claim Juve and Barcelona are attempting to complete a deal before tonight’s deadline.
Rakitic is struggling for match action at Barca with Can in a similiar situation under Maurizio Sarri.
Can’s versatility could be a key factor in any negotiations.

Rakitic omission
Ivan Rakitic has been frozen out of the Barcelona team in recent weeks amid plenty of transfer speculation.
But Barca boss Ernesto Valverde insists it’s all tactical.
Valverde said: “What do you want me to say? Last year he was playing and [Nelson] Semedo was on the bench. The other day he played well and we stuck with the same team, with Sergi Roberto in midfield. We have a lot to choose from.
“It’s a great question, but it could be about anyone. The market does not influence my decisions at all. If I think he’ll come in handy for a game, I’ll play him. I choose depending on the game.”

Neymar effect
With Neymar not making the move to Barcelona, the Barca dressing room could be split.
Plenty of players were offered to PSG for Neymar over the course of the summer.
And Sport claim that Dembele and Rakitic are not best pleased because they were offered.
It’s reported that the duo are seen as a makeweight and that it could have a knock-on effect in the Nou Camp dressing room.

Rafinha staying
Rafinha had been in talks over a move to Valencia, but that switch has now broken down.
Valencia boss Marcelino said: “The club have informed me that the transfer of Rafinha has not been approved.
“I feel like I have been told something (about the transfer) and then it has changed.
“I have respected the decision, but I have confirmed to the board that I believe we need cover in midfield.”

Umtiti swap deal?
Barcelona reportedly want Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, and are willing to offer Samuel Umtiti in the deal.
Umtiti has fallen down the Barca pecking order with Clement Lenglet moving ahead of the Frenchman.
And Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Barca are wanting to bring in Rugani in place of Umtiti.
Umtiti has been linked with a move away and could be offered for the Italy international.

Lionel Messi text
Lionel Messi is reportedly keen to see Neymar back at the Nou Camp after two years at PSG.
The Brazilian superstar was linked with a moves to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.
According to L’Equipe, Messi sent his friend a text message after hearing from Neymar himself of his desire to leave PSG.
Messi reportedly wrote: “We need you to regain the Champions League.”

Juventus working on Rakitic
Juventus want to sign Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic, according to reports.
The Croatia international has been benched for the last three matches amid talk he could move to PSG as part of a stunning swap deal for Neymar.
Barcelona had been hoping to use the veteran as bait in order to re-sign Neymar but, despite the Samba star’s determination for a move to happen, any deal now looks dead.
And Catalan newspaper Sport say Juventus are now hoping to lure Rakitic away from the Nou Camp.

Barcelona end Neymar hopes
Barcelona have ended their interest in signing Neymar this summer and will instead return for the Brazil ace next year.
ESPN report that Barcelona will return with an offer for the forward next summer after missing out on a deal for him this year.
Neymar could still leave PSG today but chances are slim unless someone bites.
Real Madrid were also keen but appear to have given up as well.

Javier Hernandez has joined Sevilla.
The Mexico international has been officially unveiled by the Spanish side, who paid West Ham £7million for his services.
He’s signed a three-year contract at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
He tweeted a farewell message to West Ham fans earlier today, it read: “Thank you
West Ham for granting me the opportunity to be my home during these past two years. I leave with the best memories and I wanted to express my total gratefulness to the club, managers, teammates and the fans.”

8/100 - 23/100
06/19/19 - 07/04/19
Shucks, I said I was going to post more often. Well, I guess I was making up for all those posts from last month.
Okay, uh, June 19-26 I did a crap ton of walking. Like, so much excercise. I also tried really hard to get some reading done in order to work on my research for recycling. It was really difficult to stay focused, so I decided I should just stop trying to research recycling for now. I wrote out a plan so that I could figure out what to do, and in the process of writing it, I decided that I should just focus on the composting stuff. I wrote deadlines for certain parts and everything... And it's all due on July 19th.
However, I did not plan ahead to make sure I wouldn't be in pain or overwhelmed after I came back from Creation on Sunday (the 30th) and so, admittedly, I didn't get as much done as I likely should have. I missed my Monday deadline for the written proposal, and I'm really close to the deadline for the bulletpointed plan of action.
In addition to that.. over Creation, which is a Christian music festival, I got really distant from God. I don't know exactly how I managed to do that. I do know, however, that I'm drawing close to Him again, and that I don't have to be afraid of being close to God even though I don't understand Him. So I'm praying that Jesus will just help me back up so that I can walk on the water with Him again.
Also, once my legs finally stopped being in pain (once I could finally walk without giving myself burning pains again) I continued walking and also spent some time with my old friend, Nathan. He's getting to be distant from God and I can tell he's hurting, so I decided to hang out with him. Who knows, maybe he might open up to me?
Also, yesterday I cleaned up my side of the room. Tonight, I've been doing laundry. It's nice.
I ought to go switch the laundry, haha.
Anyway, I've been productive. Time to take it up a notch though.
Goals:
Work on proposal (coffee is OK)
Walk two kilometers and pick up trash
Drink at least five bottles of water during the day.
Get 1/3 of the proposal done by midnight.
Finish laundry.

Summer Reset: 30 Days, 30 Actions (Plus a 21-Day Staff Challenge AND Giveaway!)
At the onset of our annual 21-Day Challenge this past January, I offered up a post that proposed thinking small—“41 Primal Action Items and Individual Experiments for Success in 2017.” The idea here wasn’t shrinking our scope to the exclusion of big visioning, but homing in on the day to day aims we can set for ourselves that make the big changes happen.
I think June is a good time to revisit that premise—and to host another 21-Day experience for those more inspired in the summer months.
For several weeks now, we’ve all seen the calls for “swimsuit season.” And while that’s not a bad motivation in and of itself to make positive changes, it’s hardly the only reason to feel spurred to a Primal reset.
In January, it’s easy to get caught up in the stir to turn over a new leaf. “This year is the year I’m turning my entire life around.” And maybe it is. But for some people, that aim ends up feeling too big and distant, and their ambition is short-lived.
This time of year, however, (at least for me) it’s easier to think about a Challenge in more immediate terms. I’ve honestly seen people more inspired by the closer-in question, “What kind of summer do I want to enjoy?” There’s an automatic framework implied here. It’s not about what one should do but what one wants to do. It’s less about living a healthy life than living up the good life…summer’s specialty.
So, what kind of summer do you want for yourself? Take a moment and really ask. What activities do I want to enjoy? What seasonal foods do I want to take advantage of? What do I want to have the energy to take on? Where can I build more leisure into my week? How can I be outside as much as possible? In summer, the means and the end can often feel more potently one in the same.
Likewise, it’s easier to stay in the scope of daily choice if your goal is to relish the season one day at a time. Grill the best meats you can get your hands on? That’s dinner tonight! Use the freshest produce in new ways? There’s your salad to go with said meats. How about a walk after dinner to take in the extra light and balmy evening? Early light makes a few sprints in the morning sound pretty good with time for coffee on the deck afterward. You’re always looking for the next thing to enjoy, which sounds like the perfect way to live a great Primal life to me.
Personally, I like mini-challenges as an overlay to the larger endeavor anyway. There’s an instantaneous kick-back. No long arcs of progress to get vague about. Do the action today and bask in the benefit. Uncomplicated achievement. Immediate gratification…
In that spirit, I’m offering 30 actions for the 30 days of the month. Pick all or as many as you feel inspired to do. Let them prompt other ideas. Use them to get the momentum going. Claim your summer, and don’t let any of it slide by unappreciated.
30 Days, 30 Actions
June 1st: First things first. Commit to the most resonant elements of slow living this summer. Make clear intentions to keep your schedule and pace in check. Because, really, does anyone want a hectic summer?
June 2nd: Write down everything you eat in a day and how you feel afterward. Clarity is a good starting point, no matter what level of change you’re looking to make.
June 3rd: Practice some cold water immersion in a larger lake or river that’s still cool this time of year.
June 4th: Unplug today (or maybe one day every week).
June 5th: Join my staff in taking on a summer Primal Blueprint Challenge. Yup, no need to wait until New Year’s for the support and fanfare of a group endeavor. We won’t be giving away any cows this time of year, but you’ll be in excellent company with tips, recipes, and stories from some of my Worker Bees. (See below for more details!)
June 6th: Assess your true fitness level.
June 7th: Meditate today (or try an alternative to sitting meditation).
June 8th: Feed your microbiome with some fermented delicacies, and spend some time in the dirt.
June 9th: Find a favorite Primal recipe on MDA.
June 10th: Hit your local farmers market (or take a day trip to one nearby). Enjoy the vibe and the collect as many recipes as you can.
June 11th: Take a nap…preferably outside.
June 12th: Experiment with a supplemental food that’s new to you.
June 13th: Spend the whole day barefoot.
June 14th: Do one (or more) of the awesome workouts featured in our guest posts lately:
June 15th: Get a retreat on the calendar ASAP.
June 16th: Go keto for the remaining two weeks. We’ll have recipes for it all summer long in addition to informative articles (including a definitive guide next week).
June 17th: Hike a new trail or park in your area, or devote the day to an urban hike.
June 18th: Skip the commercial kits for a “summer detox” and try safe and genuine forms of detoxification support.
June 19th: Relish summer the old school way.
June 20th: Bike to work.
June 21st: Invest in collagen for health—with the rich quality bone broth or a high quality supplement.
June 22nd: Upgrade your morning coffee routine.
June 23rd: Give some serious thought to activities and people who drain you. Give yourself permission to take a break from them for 21 days (or as many days as possible) if you can. Just maybe this is a gift you should’ve given yourself a long time ago…?
June 24th: June is National Camping Month. Whether it’s a solo adventure or a full-family endeavor, commit to one night under the stars this month as one of the great Primal joys (with added benefits of course). The National Wildlife Federation every year sponsors the Great American Campout event. They’re taking pledges and even hosting a contest with some fun prizes, so take advantage.
June 25th: While you’re at it, try your hand at some Primal survival skills. Pick at least one, and set out to master it in the wilds.
June 26th: Expand your Primal eating into a new international cuisine.
June 27th: Encourage someone in their health journey (e.g. friends, family, MDA comment board/forum), or submit your success story to MDA to offer the ultimate inspiration to others.
June 28th: Try a sweet meat of some kind—grilled, braised, slow-cooked, sautéed, open-fire roasted…whatever sounds most appealing. This usually isn’t the first thing Primal newcomers do, but it’s a tasty threshold to cross. Order it from a clean eating restaurant if you’re not ready to cook up the innards yourself.
June 29th: Envision something big for your Primal lifestyle and commitment to the good life (whatever that means for you) in July—and make a plan for it.
June 30th: Don’t forget to chase down more awe, pleasure, and euphoria this summer.

Immediate gratification.
