#ask#sugar daddy fic#i have been in a writing rut that is known#so i needed to work out some more canon stuff to get the voices back yk? hence updating the other fic first#but also i still feel like the last chapter fell off hard cos i got like no comments#which i know is like 'who cares' but i think i majority switched the style (like for myself) last chapter and i really like it but#if people didnt respond to it#im a little stumped on where to go#(again not in the story but style-wise)#people do not respond to long chapters? people dont respond to the dennis chapters? too much time wasted on sex? idk im#yeah like just a little lost on what people enjoy in the story and what i should gut/cut down on i guess#cos last chapter is hands down my favourite ive written#content wise its close to 6..#but style-wise i know its so fucking long but i thought it flowed really well and god i love exploring dennis' weird relationship with sex#but to me like only 4 people finished that chapter#to clarify. in my head there are literally only max 10 people who read this thing#and 2 of them are my random friends who arent in this fandom and just want to read what im writing#and neither of them bothered with a 27k chapter.. lol#so im stumped trying to pace the writing and rework how i thought it would go#cos i dont know what people enjoy in the fic!!! and seemingly did not respond to in what i thought was the best chapter so far.. lmfao#sorry you caught me on 30hrs awake and way too much coffee

#hi i finished engage#and by finished i mean i got to chapter 10. my switch crashes and no longer registers game cartridges#so the logical decision was obviously to watch one of those game movie cutscenes things because i genuinely really liked this game#very fun to play and i actually liked the story#but of course im very easy to win over with stories i just think many things are neat#and i like a lot of the character designs but graphic design is not my passion and i am no artist. i just look and go wow cool :]#it sure was a fire emblem engage#fe17#also if character design bad then why sommie#and if game bad then why can i adopt animals

despite not feeling like I improved all that much during my first ac6 playthrough, I must have cause I’m already at chapter 3 in new game + and I haven’t died or reset even once.
Having better parts helps too of course. But I’m not using op weapons I’m just fucking around with builds and breezing through it all. Even the new missions I’ve gotten so far haven’t been a threat.
Maybe it’s because I’m using a bipedal build that’s noticeably faster. I used the quad legs as soon as I got them in the first playthrough so I was always pretty slow. And then I got the heavier ones so I was even slower.
#on my first save it took like 10 tries each to deal with balteus and the spider but this time it was.. so easy.#did I git gud or did I just learn to stop panicking and get as close as possible#the answer is yes#I’m still kind of worried about the chapter 4 boss as that was what I struggled with the most. I was stuck on it for like 2 hours#idk if I’ll be able to first try that one#it’s so fast and I feel like I’ll never be able to melee it since it reads your inputs like crazy#I might switch to an even lighter weight build for that one#cause with the quad legs I couldn’t dodge shit. idk if this new build is fast enough#I’m trying to 100% the game. keyword is trying. I’m worried about S ranking the bosses

eurgh pacing
#I HATE pacing so much#I don't want the slow parts but I need them#so backstage time for seven is my lucky number#I really didn't like chapter 10(?) when writing it. the there was only one bed chapter#and I was blown away by how much people ended up liking it#bc it was slow and nothing particularly important happened though nothing particularly important happened in that whole fic#anyway. I'm just thinking maybe that's what pacing can do#but it's just. my twists and cliffhangers. you're supposed to end a chapter on a high emotion that makes you want to read the next chapter#this is why I'm usually ending watching series episodes middle episode because the ending is too exciting#and I can just stop it in the middle and continue the next time#I have been trying to pay attention to switch slower scenes with faster scenes but I'm still worried#which is like totally irrational because I was too scared to look at my chapter all day sjdbdkdn#and I know that they say it's good to sit with your discomfort but is there not like a. shortcut.#also I'm waaaaaay in now is probably not the time to start to think about pacing but pacing#how do you do pacing?#<- genuine question btw share your secrets 👀👀#miaing#joys of being a one-shot writer: you generally don't have to worry about pacing#woes of being a one-shot writer: you don't practice pacing so you end up like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

RIP Aliens Area.
It had a good handful of super clean looking panels and pages. Would have combo'd a bit better with a more action-oriented series.
Like, you tease creative equipment and alien powers to use and then squander it with a bunch of office job/minor public safety stuff + talking. :/
I hope to see fusai naba again though. Hopefully they can come back with something a lil stronger.

#vestaria saga ii#Chapter 19 was Ouron's day in the spotlight (although at least 2 resets were also his fault)#(though that's probably not too bad considering how many resets were for Amlute & Barzy)#A Cav with 10 Mobility and no movement penalties is very very nice#Unfortunately because of the deployment situation and me needing to save certain units for the next map#this map ended up very lopsided on healers#as in it got most of them.#I only have Lilia and Orphelia for the next one and Orphelia is probably going to need to stay mounted for the duration!#(i probably should have deployed Penneloupe instead of Karajan here but.... i like keeping the Penne/Sheela/Zayid trio together)#(honestly the person i actually wanted to deploy here was Baymonk but he and Ashram have a convo in Ch 20 so he's needed there >.>)#(and my other choice Lucian is also needed so he can be promoted)#(and uh support bonuses I guess.... I'm not keeping him around for his stats! xD)#Anyway I owe a huge apology to Laffine for calling her discount Merida. she kind of is but she was an MVP this map!#also an MVP: the Seriatim Bow!
