But now so many people like it too! And are writing wonderful little essays like yours! I feel understood. so for me, it was kind of an odd process. i’m chronically ill and have a lot of abdominal issues, mainly endometriosis. i started having surgeries for those issues in 2022, then again in 2023; shortly before i got top surgery. when i brought up my gender to my endo surgeon (i live in a very rural conservative american town- so i kept it from him in fear) he turned out to be the leading hrt specialist in my area! we scheduled this upcoming consultation during that convo c:

to get top surgery however, it was a much more typical experience. first, i brought it up in therapy (u can also do this with ur gp) and i was referred to a different therapist with specific certifications needed to fill out paperwork for my future surgeon. i saw that therapist twice a week for a few months as we worked through forms and they made sure i really wanted this blah blah blah. then i was finally okayed to medically transition in the eyes of god or whatever the fuck and they referred me. i imagine if u weren’t in my medical circumstances to begin with, getting hrt would be more similar to this process <3

I think Bruce would love superhero movies!!! I think that’s canon actually.. 🤔 and John would love honestly anything pretty much as long as it’s not boring lol but I think he’d especially enjoy cartoon and fantasy movies!!! I hc John to be a huge film fan, also when he’d get to be in his teens he’d be the biggest horror and gore fan out there!
