So who’s doing a podcast with David and Michael about how they died 10000 times on stage in 2023/2024? Like here is an excuse to get them together and chat with them about stuff.
These two geeking out together would be a joy to watch/listen to.

Ethan Freeman, Hass and the original production of Elisabeth
Recently, @behindthemirrorofmusic shared an interview clip from her radio show with me (thank you so much!). In it, Ethan Freeman (original Lucheni) talks about, among other things, Hass and the criticism the number has gotten over the years.
Dannii: Several Jewish fans of the show have said it's a rather triggering song and makes them feel uncomfortable - making them feel that Lucheni is turning against them. Did you think about that or does this raise any feelings in you? Ethan: Ah, no. Lucheni is a cynic, but he certainly did not ally himself with the fascistic transition that happens in the course of that number, as it begins to look into the future and towards the growing demonization of Jews in the Elisabethan world moving towards the period of the Nazis. Again, as Che is with the Peronistic fascism [in Evita], Lucheni looks at it with bitter cynicism. I can see people being uncomfortable, but the scene and the number were designed to make everybody uncomfortable [laughs]. And the Austrian audience, who at the time had to - and perhaps to a bigger extent even now still has to - deal with its fascist and antisemitic past... That number was always met with a kind of deathly, breathless silence. Sometimes applause at the end, but first it was always this reaction of "[gasp] This was us!". And that's what the number was there for. Obviously, Harry Kupfer, the director, was a tremendous antifascist, and so he directed the number to hit very hard. I remember we performed the show [one night] and Jörg Haider, the leader of the ultra-right party in Austria at the time was in the audience of the show - and he walked out after the number! I knew I had done my job when I heard he had walked out. Because the number points a finger at exactly the kind of ideology he seemed to purvey. So... As a Jewish person myself, I want to show the world its ugly reflection. If it made me uncomfortable in any sense, watching the Jewish character getting beaten up in that scene, it's because it's supposed to make people feel - "oh, this is not good". I think good theatre is for people with strong stomachs, and if people are extremely sensitive to that sort of thing, then they have to figure out how to deal with it. I don't think for any reason that that [scene] should not be in the show. Because it was a reflection of the history of that time - but not only that time, obviously.
(Interview by Dannii Cohen, September 10, 2023. Emphasis mine. Transcribed from the first episode of the new series of Behind the Mirror of Music. Source)

do u have any production photos? im soo intersted ur show seems so cool so far :3
also as the official jane question guy i would loveee to know what kind of doll ur jane is inspired by? any specific things u do different with her? ooo and does ur jane have any backstory or character relationships u came up with.....
I'm not sure about production photos (we had some, but I can't find it)
My Jane is inspired by antique porcelain dolls (I think they're cute)
Specific details about Jane from our production:
Jane eats cake instead of cupcake
Jane appears during Fall Fair Suite and then disappears
Jane's voice sounds more like voice of Strawberry Shortcake in 1980s
Sometimes Jane just falls for no reason
Jane is trembling all the time
Sometimes she wants to say something, but others just don't let her
Also she's the only one who pays attention at four rats sitting in the background (Virgil, Virginia, Vincent and Evlampia)

#BOYCOTTTONYS
For my pro Palestine theater kids
Since the Tony nominations was announced today, we will boycott this year's Tony Awards like we boycott the Oscars in past March
Ariana Debose who will hosted again this year's awards comes out as a Israel supporter from last October.
Like Ariana, some of your faves like Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Kristin Chenoweth and Jeremy Jordan are outed as supporter for Israel
I know it's quite devastating to hear who won or which musical won a Tony but we will rightfully boycott Tonys. It's very crucial.
Theater is form of activism and we theater kids to show our solidarity with the Palestinians.
Palestinians rightfully deserve to live and their land belongs to them
Theater kids for Palestine 🇵🇸🇵🇸!

Danny Robins said: ‘I'm really looking forward to seeing how Dublin audiences respond to 2:22 this summer. The tour continues to be a great success and I can't think of a better place to round off the journey in 2024 than here with a brand new cast to be announced soon!'
What do you believe? And do you dare discover the truth?
“THERE’S SOMETHING IN OUR HOUSE. I HEAR IT EVERY NIGHT, AT THE SAME TIME"
Jenny believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren and new partner Ben. Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer, so they’re going to stay up... until 2:22... and then they’ll know.
2:22 - A Ghost Story features set design by Anna Fleischle, costume design by Cindy Lin, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph Sound and illusions by Chris Fisher. Casting by Matilda James.
2:22 - A Ghost Story is produced by Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Isobel David and Kater Gordon.  [source]

Never one to leave a tale untold, the cheerfully loquacious Varma sent a voice memo the next day. She started the recording by recalling a performance of “Macbeth” in Liverpool that was briefly, charmingly interrupted by a butterfly fluttering between her and co-star RalphFiennes. A few days later, Varma recounted, she saw that same butterfly onstage, reached toward the creature and marveled as it crawled onto her hand for Lady Macbeth’s “unsex me here” speech. Later that night, when Ben Turner’s Macduff learned of his family’s murder, the butterfly flew back onstage and landed on the actor’s shoulder.

marvin hits trina thoughts (3:30 am edition):
- marvin being abrasive coming in with much harsher music after games i play just ended
- whizzer's surprise at how marvin is acting now that hes gone im geeked i can't. marvin is not so uncouth??. UGH
- mendel trying to warm up to compliments (which hes not used to because most of his interpersonal relationships[work] involve him being the worst on his end) but having to suck it back up because its being used to put down marvin
- "trying to ruin my sleep" "chosen to make me look bad" marvin brain warping back to in trousers marvin's narcissistic behavior when whizzer is gone because obviously a marriage is not trying to bring his life down but. tunnel vision
- whizzer AND trina singing about their relationships with marvin together and you can look at it from either way and it matches....the reflections between them+marvin respectively make me crazy ok
- one thing i'll give to marvin: if my psych said "i am so ashamed." id actually go batshit too
- marvins little "c'mon," half smile to whizzer before he says no.
- the DEAD stillness/silence after he says no and after he slaps trina. reflections this, i am feral that.
- mendel holding onto jason + trina but when he moves away from jason the face jason makes looking at marvin
adding onto that: - the face whizzer makes watching them too
