I read one of the Destiel legend fic “Broadway musical” from AO3, written by Griftings.

What a wonderful fanfiction!! It’s the best way to describe Dean’s falling-in-love behaviors, in a very subtle but thrilling way. Cas charac description in this fic is similar to my taste, it’s so easy to read and understand about our cute angel. Cas and Jimmy’s chemi is also good, their banter is fun. It’s another delicious point of this fic. If you read, you’ll empathize of Poor Jimmy lol 😂 Jimmy and Jo’s reactions about Destiel is hilarious

Love the author’s description of how putti and angels make the love affection arrows. The precious things of mortals are the ingredients, it’s quiet moving to read this part.

Also the angels, they are soooo interactive audiences, which perfectly matched with the fic’s title “Broadway musical”! Though they are a little bit noisy haha

For me, non-english user, the words variation is quiet broad so I used my apple translator and dictionaries alot during reading, but still worth it.

I strongly recommend this fanfic!

This is the day that marked the Holy and Blessed Union of Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle. The merging of prominent bloodlines is always a grand occurrence, but breeding pedigree hunter families like Winchester and Harvelle is something to be rejoiced. It is also something to be meticulously planned, which thankfully the Host is very good at. Or, the romantic comedy where Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle are destined to get married, Castiel is given the task of playing matchmaker and fails terribly, the entire Heavenly Host becomes a sitcom audience, God warns against male pregnancy, and Jimmy Novak is incredibly unimpressed with angels in general.

Behold—it’s time for the glorious union between Dean Winchester and Joanna Harvelle, an event set in motion and finally come to fruition! Their coupling will bring forth two sons, set to become the vessels of Michael and Lucifer to bring about the end of days! The angels are atwitter, the seraphim are standing watch, the cupids are readying their arrows—

Only, none of their matchmaking attempts work, and the plan, ultimately doomed to fail from the start, finds its savior in one angel who takes it upon himself to step up to the plate with his new vessel, Jimmy Novak. Castiel finds more than he bargained for in the brilliantly burning soul of a green-eyed pincushion, and the fate of the planet hangs in the balance if Castiel can’t help bring about the end of days.

Heavily doused with gut-busting humor and peppered with characters from earlier seasons gone by, Broadway Musical tells an alternate retelling of Supernatural that’ll leave a stark impression on most any reader. Occasionally, I’ll come back to this piece and remember just how much I love it, from the storytelling to the wide array of characters, from angels to humans to even God Himself (in more of a Monty Python sense than Chuck.)

June will be this work’s tenth anniversary, and it’s definitely held its place in the Destiel lexicon. After all, what’s not to love about an accidental romantic comedy with an angel acting as his own accidental matchmaker?

i started analysing the lesbians because i'm going insane over them and i think i found something so cute and silly about them that relates to their names and their professions and their relationship to one another and i'm gonna tell you guys because i think yall would love this just as much as i do (just a heads up this is just my interpretation of this and was nowhere (not that im aware of) said to be 100% true i'm just insane and sometimes being delulu is the solulu)

one of the meanings of cordelias name is "the heart" and we all know that cordelia is a caterer!! food often symbolizes love and since the heart is usually associated with love i think its very silly to think about the fact that food is probably a way for cordelia to say 'i love you' 🥹🥹🥹 (this woman carries so much care and love in her heart i swear)

AND: some of the meanings of charlottes name are "the free" and "the loved"

so basically what i'm trying to say is that cordelia is "the heart" that is loving "the loved" (Charlotte) and we know its a healthy relationship since Charlotte is "the free" (feels free and secure with her lover) i mean we all know that the lesbians from next door already portray a healthy queer relationship in this musical and that that is nothing new but i just thought this was a silly detail /pos

furthermore i'd also like to mention that charlotte also stands for "the capable" which is interesting because as a doctor she has to deal with very emotional situations or rather has to be capable of dealing with them and i think thats also such a tiny but cool detail

The way the musical Be More Chill is like…10000x better than Dear Evan Hansen despite having the same premise of a loser teen who gets caught up in drama and eventually becomes a dick until they get knocked down is immense. I find myself comparing the two musicals a lot and Be More Chill is just the obvious better one. They were both early 2000’s-ish books about teenage kids who didn’t like where their life was heading and wanted to be more, both having cheesy comedy but heart to it, and despite DEH being more deeper and trying to challenge the subject of mental health and suicide whereas BMC is a tragic-ish comedy about a kid being controlled by a drug to get more popular, one of them was clearly better. I feel bad because I don’t despise DEH, but over time I was able to see that it was heavily flawed and could have been better. I understand the lesson they were trying to convey and in the beginning I saw myself in Evan as I am a person with heavy anxiety and who grew up sensitive and anti social, but the musical didn’t do the good it was hoping to do, especially with Evan’s character. Jeremy from BMC is just…a million times better and more likable than Evan is, all Jeremy wanted was to survive and win the girl he had a crush on, and then there’s this drug implanted in his brain, forcing and telling him what to do to be a “big shot”. Even the moments where Jeremy snapped, it was all understandable even if he was in the wrong, and he actually faced the consequences of his actions, at least better compared to Evan who just went “what I did was wrong” only for the musical to go “no you saved this family lol”.
