A/N: The fight scene between you and your girls is taken from Supergirl, 1x20, and I just think everyone should go watch that fight scene because it’s so cool! :):):)
It wasn’t a calm morning you woke up to. Thunder rolled outside and lightning struck from above, jolting you awake until you felt two pairs of arms around you.
“Easy, malen’kiy (little one). We’re here.” Natasha cooed beside your ear, her morning voice making you focus.
You felt Wanda’s fingers touch underneath your chin before her whisper. “Open your eyes, Iubirea mea (my love).”
You whimpered as the thunder rumbled again - it was so loud, and it shook the walls of your room with ferocity that made you shrink further into yourself. Wanda’s words echoed in your ear again and you slowly opened them to the emerald pools that were filled with something you weren’t quite sure of.
“Hi, darling.” Wanda murmured, holding her hand in front of your face as little sparks of magic twirled around her fingers.
“Focus on the magic, honey.”
She made it dance around you whilst Natasha tickled your chest lightly with her fingers, only enough to give you small chills. She too, was enraptured in Wanda’s light show, kissing your shoulder every now and then to let you know she was there.
“That’s it. Are you here, Y/N/N?” Natasha kissed the skin of your neck softly, brushing away your hair to get impossibly closer to you.
“Mhmm.” You hummed, focusing on Wanda’s magic before you pressed your cheek into her palm, feeling a sense of pure relaxation overwhelm you.
“Thank you.” You whispered.
“Always, porumbel (dove).”
“Any time, printsessa (princess).”

In the gym, you stuck to sparring with Natasha whilst Wanda watched, keeping you in check so that you wouldn’t go for the kill.
Six months ago, you escaped from the Red Room/HYDRA experimental group known as Death Widows, which consisted of three of the most elite killing machines in the world. After having been exposed to a black dust, your mind had been wrenched from the grip of Dreykov and Zola, who you now knew died within his technological prison.
For the first month, you were wild. You had to be kept in control of Wanda by wispy binds whenever someone interacted with you and nobody was allowed to come inside your little cage. But Natasha… Natasha was different.
The moment she stepped inside, you shied away from her. Nobody understood it, nobody understood you, but she did.
The second month, you got slightly better. You could let Natasha in as she sat across the room from you, but other than that, no progress was made.
It wasn’t until the third month that things really started to get going. You had grown accustomed to Natasha, but with the introduction of Wanda as her girlfriend, you lashed out - you quickly learnt that Wanda was powerful. Her red wisps held you in place and you couldn’t so much as breathe without her command.
But she wasn’t cruel, not like your previous jailors. She made you every meal and the duo sat with you until you ate it all, not wanting to go down the path Natasha had taken after her defection. But soon enough, they saw the signs. The withdrawals of the drugs they gave you; the sweats, the deliriousness, the begging and pleading to get your hands around someone’s throat.
But every day you worked with Wanda to get rid of that programming - by sparring with Natasha. You two were toe to toe, matched up in a way nobody else could match the other, but Natasha’s distracted mind let your old one see her weakness.
Your body and mind fought one another, your entire being shaking as you struggled to control yourself. One part of you screamed, telling you to kill her by breaking her windpipe and then finishing it with a bullet in her head. The other calmly whispered in your ear, the two tones of the women telling you to calm down.
“Natasha, stop.” Wanda leapt up and stood in front of you, palms already glowing as she guided your hands to the Widow’s throat.
“Come on, Y/N, fight it.”
In Natasha’s eyes, she could see your two sides. Your fingers shaking to grip tighter, but your whimpers and whines forcing you to not. You stood like that for a solid thirty seconds, the longest thirty seconds of your life, until you wrenched your hands away and fell onto your back.
You let out a long sigh of relief as Wanda’s power left your body, your realisation making you chuckle. “I’m almost free.”
“Indeed you are, love.” Natasha smirked, helping you stand.
She pulled you into her by the knot of your shorts, kissing you feverishly whilst Wanda whined from beside you. “I would like to give my congratulations too.”
Natasha’s snicker broke the cherry-flavoured kiss and she let go of your shorts, only for Wanda to slowly dance her fingers up your arms, watch you shiver and kiss you softly, her lips tasting like strawberries.
She pulled away from you and watched your stupor lift, giggling mischievously whilst you came back to the Earthian plane. You shook your head at the both of them before a chime rang above you.
“Mx. L/N, Director Fury has sent you a mission that he would like you to look over.” FRIDAY spoke after the chime, making you grin.
“My first mission! Can you believe it?! I’m gonna ace it!” You raced off to find your mission folder, leaving Natasha to hook her arm around Wanda.
“I’m scared, Tasha. What if something goes wrong?” The witch murmured, hoping that her soft voice would not be heard by the lords of jinx.
“I’m scared too, Wands, but you gotta trust them. Put some faith in them, like I did in you.” Natasha chuckled, kissing her lover’s cheeks before they began to train.
⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖🜃🜂🜁🜄⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖
Everything went smoothly. It was a simple mission and you had some SHIELD agency backup, but you were the lead and you took charge. You followed all of Natasha’s tips that were stored in your mind whilst Wanda’s words of encouragement helped you to calm down when you killed.
It was a gruelling first month as an official Avenger, with a total of six missions in the total thirty days. You had two back-to-back, then three with a two day break in between, and then one last one a week before your birthday.
You sat on the floor of your shower as you scrubbed at your legs, cleaning the dirt off whilst taking care around a few grazes from tumbles and other things… bullets, knives, et cetera
You knew that if you told your girlfriends or if they saw your injuries, they wouldn’t let you go on a mission. It was like a new drug custom-made for you - the high of completing a mission was a tempting offer, but the aftermath of your tired body was getting too much to handle.
You got out of the shower ten minutes later, having run through your daily shower thoughts, and stepped out to see Wanda and Natasha waiting on your bed, the redhead propped between the brunette’s legs.
“Hi, darling. How was your mission?” Wanda asked, twirling Natasha’s hair between her fingers mindlessly.
“It was good. Got the bad guys and whatnot, but it was nice to fight for the good guys.” You smiled, turning around nervously to get changed.
You heard no creak of the bed and assumed you would turn around to see them still sitting there, but when a pair of beefy Russian arms wrapped around your waist, you stiffened and watched as they stroked underneath the hem of your shirt.
“You wanna tell us why you were thinking of hiding your injuries? For example… this bullet graze?” Natasha’s thumb over that exact wound on your stomach, making your happiness cut short.
“It’s just a graze…” You grumbled, pulling out of her arms.
You felt your legs get taken out from underneath you before you landed on the bed, wrapped up in Wanda’s warmth that you didn’t even try to fight it - you knew you would lose.
“Where’s my baby injured? Let me fix them all.” Wanda began to lift your shirt but you shoved it back down.
“Girls, I’m fine! I got checked out by Cho and she said that they were all minor. I don’t need stitches, I don’t need any creams or magic. They’ll heal and leave a tiny mark, if they even leave a mark.”
Natasha sat on the side of the bed and took your arm, which Wanda held in place, before the Widow got some medical cream and a box of band-aids. She dabbed some cream on a cut on your arm and placed one band-aid on it, lifting the bottom of your shirt as her next destination.
You realised they weren’t going to let you go until each and every wound was covered, so you started listing off the scrapes you had and they grew concerned when you talked about one on your head.
“Y/N/N… did you do a concussion test with Cho?” Natasha asked.
“Yes.” You told her the truth, unable to lie to her even if you were a master liar.
“And?”
You looked down at Wanda’s ring-covered fingers and didn’t answer her, making her fingers take your chin and grip it tightly to face her.
“And?” She asked again, her eyes boring into yours as she searched for the truth.
“A few days off.” You pushed her hand away, grumbling and mumbling about how it was dumb to be put off of missions.
Now Wanda tilted your head up to meet her eyes, a stern look in them you hadn’t seen much of. “If you ever go out on a mission when Cho or someone has told you not to, you will wish you had told us the truth.”
“What if I didn’t?” You taunted, feeling tired and annoyed.
Natasha’s hand gripped your mop of wet hair, holding you in place. “You’ll wish you did.”

It was almost the end of your ‘few days off’, much to your excitement, and you had slept in on this new morning whilst Wanda and Natasha had not. They were busy planning your surprise birthday party when you walked into the kitchen, hungry.
“Well hello, you.” Wanda chuckled at your bedhead.
“Mmm.” You answered, zombie-like with your half-open eyes.
You popped two slices of bread in the toaster and set the kettle to boil, which left you only one thing to do - lean on Natasha’s beefy body. When not in use, she made for a good pillow, and you almost fell asleep on her before your toast popped.
“Come on, let Wanda do your breakfast. You know how much she loves making us food.” Natasha snickered, picking you up easily before she placed you on the couch, your legs propped up onto her lap.
“Whatcha doing?” You murmured, eyes closed.
“I’m doing some file organisation.” She lied, which was easy to do when you were half-asleep.
Wanda soon stood behind you, grinning as she hung over you. “Y/N/N, sit up, love.”
You saw the plate in her hands and instantly did as asked, eyes wide open as you tucked into your favourite breakfast. Wanda smirked beside you and it felt so domestic for her - this is what she wanted, to have you both by her side without fear of losing you.
But fate had a way of messing with her.
“Mx L/N, you are needed urgently on the next Quinjet out.” FRIDAY blared from above, your eyes widening as you almost threw the plate onto the table and rushed out.
“Y/N, wait!” Your girls raced after you and saw you slipping on your suit.
“Y/N, you’re not clear for missions. You can’t go.”
“They need me, Natasha! I can’t not go!” You huffed, getting annoyed at your zipper.
“Stupid freaking frakking zipper!”
Your girls would normally laugh at your use of non-curse words, but now was not the time. Wanda’s magic slipped your suit on, did your hair up and readied your weapons.
“If you’re going out there, you’re going out there with a full arsenal.” She muttered sternly, pulling you in with two tendrils.
“You come back, okay? You come back to us and we will yell at Fury for picking you after.”
You nodded and gave them quick pecks on their lips before Wanda teleported you to the loading dock, the duo watching as the jet lifted off.
⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖🜃🜂🜁🜄⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖
Nothing.
Not a sound in the compound but Fury’s boots.
You had not returned to base after the mission and Fury was getting worried, even if he would never admit it aloud. He checked your body cam footage but it cut out before any valuable information came up, except for the fact that the entire team of agents had been slaughtered. He was still struggling to get the logic of how strong someone had to be to rip someone’s head off by their mouth, or how much force was needed to squish someone’s skull, but he knew someone would do the maths for him.
“FRIDAY, get those two down here.” He muttered as he stood in the meeting room, hiding his fears deep within his mind and face.
Soon enough, Natasha and Wanda entered, with Wanda’s eyes glowing red and Natasha’s eyebrows creased.
“Maximoff, eyes.” He grumbled.
“I can’t turn them off.” She answered.
It had been two days since you left, and Wanda’s powers were getting the best of her. She would always come to you to help calm her down, but without you, they were slowly building up inside of her.
“Agent L/N is missing in action.” Fury stated.
Both girls froze for a moment before their lips thinned in anger. Natasha walked up to him and raised her hand to slap him, but she couldn’t, not to him. “How?” She muttered, her voice shaking slightly.
“We don’t know. The body cam footage didn’t give us any helpful information. We’re gathering agents to go and do some recon, scope out the place and then report back.”
“Good. Keep us updated.”
The two women left and Fury let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖🜃🜂🜁🜄⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖
Fury kept his promise and updated the girls on their progress, but when they received an email with a video link, their hearts dropped. There, in the middle of the blurred frame, was you.
With HYDRA’s symbol on your belt buckle.
“FRIDAY, get everyone to the Quinjet.” Natasha ordered as Wanda’s magic slipped both of their suits on.
The jet was quick to rise in the air, with Clint, Steve, Bucky, and Sam as the only other available Avengers. Sure, they would have liked more, but Tony had given Natasha clearance with some of his Iron Legion, so she had them tag along behind.
“This is how it’s going down - Y/N is getting out of there in any way possible. Whether we drag them through the snow or if they come willingly. Wanda will be trying to break HYDRA’s control whilst the rest of us take down the base. Got it?”
Everyone nodded and dispersed, leaving Natasha to crouch in front of Wanda as red mist and wisps curled around her fingers.
“It’s not stopping.” The witch muttered, looking at Natasha with her reddened eyes.
In Fury’s meeting, it was simply her irises that had turned red. Now, it was her entire eye, including her pupil, that was a dark scarlet red. Natasha took Wanda’s hands and kissed them softly, running her fingers along the creases of her palms.
“We’ll get them back. They’re ours, not HYDRA’s. We just gotta help them remember.” She assured the young brunette before Steve alerted her that they were arriving.
“Iron Legion, pair with a 2:1 ratio of Legionnaire to Avenger.”
As they stepped out, the Legionnaires separated into the designated ratio whilst Wanda and Natasha intertwined their hands as a silent promise - whatever happened, they would do it together.
Sirens began to wail from above and they watched as agents began to pour out, some of them being taken down by sniper shots from hiding Legionnaires. Natasha gave Wanda’s hand a squeeze and the witch let out small but powerful blasts, rendering five, ten agents useless after each one.
A double squeeze from Natasha had Wanda stop, following the Widow’s eyes to see you. You walked out with a sharp sword in hand, dried blood shining from it as the snow of the forest reflected the flickers of sunlight.
“Y/N? Are you here?” Wanda asked, her voice shaking.
“Vdova Smerti. Unichtozh'te vse tseli. (Death Widow. Eliminate all targets.)” A voice echoed out from the speakers and they watched as you moved towards them, your sword dragging through the snow.
“Y/N, don’t make me have to fight you.” Natasha warned, pulling out her electric batons.
“Tasha, it’s not Y/N!” Clint coached through her earpiece and she sighed, walking down to you.
“Do smerti. (To the death.)” You stated, readying your sword.
Natasha nodded, going along with it until she could find a weak spot.
You swung your sword up towards her head as she dove under, dodging your strikes but you kicked one baton out of her grip. She dropped them for a moment and gripped your wrists, yet a seething pain ripped through her palms.
“Wanda, they’ve got acid on their suit!” Natasha yelled, focusing on you.
“Y/N, I know you’re in there. This isn’t you, you don’t want to do this.”
“U nikh net vybora. (They have no choice.)”You kicked into her stomach and she fell back, rolling out of the way of your slashes until you leapt up and stabbed down.
You missed, and the sword drove through the snow and into what could only be compact dirt, which didn’t shatter the sword but it did make it hard to remove. Natasha scrambled away and ducked when Wanda’s mind yelled at her to, metal plating from the base wrapping around you whilst shrouded in red mist.
You looked at your trapped arms and pressed a button on your glove, the acid on your suit leaking out more as it ate at the metal. You strode towards Natasha, chuckling darkly as she struggled to stand, the acid still on her hands and eating at her flesh.
“Oni budut smotret', kak ikh mech pronzayet vashe serdtse. Togda oni budut nashimi naveki. (They are going to watch as their sword goes through your heart. Then, they will be ours for eternity.)” The words slipped out of your mouth as you raised your sword.
“Y/N/N, stop!” Wanda yelled from behind you, causing your arms to stop moving.
“This isn’t you! Y/N, you can beat this! You can beat their programming, I know you can!”
You looked back at her and scoffed. “Nobody can stop me. I am a Death Widow!”
“No, you’re not. You’re Iubirea mea (my love) and you are Natasha’s malen’kiy (little one). You are ours, Y/N/N, not theirs. That is your past, not your future.”
You turned back to Natasha, focusing on the mission.
“You are not gonna hurt me, you are not going to hurt Natasha. We are stronger together, Y/N, and you are the strongest of us all. Natasha believes in you, I believe in you too.”
You looked down at the quivering Natasha, her eyes boring into your soul whilst your programming spoke. “I AM A DEATH WIDOW! I ALWAYS FINISH MY MISSION!”
“You are Y/N L/N, and nothing on Earth can change that.” Wanda muttered, now only a few feet away from you whilst your sword still pointed at Natasha’s neck.
“Come back to us, Y/N/N. Come home.”
With your distracted mind, she cupped your cheeks and pressed her forehead against yours. You dropped the sword and fell away from Wanda, scrambling back as you gripped your head tightly.
“Stop, stop, stop it! Stop it!” Your eyes were squeezed shut and you looked down at your suit, ripping it off and exposing yourself to the harsh cold but you needed to get it off.
“That’s it, moya lyubov (my love). Fight it.” Natasha cooed, coming towards you slowly.
“You’re so strong, Y/N. Keep fighting it.” Wanda added, kneeling down in front of you.
Her magic danced in front of your eyes. “Focus on the magic, honey.”
You shook your head wildly as you gripped your hair tightly, your body tensing up before it felt like a switch went off in your mind. Your whole body stopped, like a factory reset, and you opened your eyes.
You looked around you and eyed the two women, your memories slowly flooding back. “Nat… Tasha? Wanda? Where… Where am I?”
They both had tearful eyes as they tackled you, holding you close. “You’re home.”
⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖🜃🜂🜁🜄⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖
When you woke up to an empty bed, you shivered at the cold sheets outside of your warm cocoon. You tucked yourself further into the sheets and whimpered, remembering what you did underneath HYDRA’s control.
“Mx L/N, would you like me to get Ms Romanoff and Ms Maximoff?” FRIDAY asked you.
You nodded weakly, feeling completely drained, but when they entered, you scrambled as far back on the bed as possible.
“Please… I don’t want to hurt you again.”
“Lyubov, you can’t hurt us. You can never hurt us.” Natasha smiled sadly as you looked at her with complete fear in your eyes that she recognised.
It was fear in yourself, fear and certainty that you should be locked up somewhere.
“Don’t think like that, porumbel (dove). You belong here, with us.” Wanda cooed, sliding into the bed to bring you close to her.
“W-What if I try to kill you in my sleep? How will I even know if I’m s-sleeping or dreaming?” You asked, shaking slightly.
“We will be here in either one.” Natasha moved in behind you as Wanda pulled you over on the bed.
“And if I lose you? I can’t lose you, I-I don’t know what I’d do if I lost even one of you.” You murmured, fiddling with the collar of Wanda’s shirt.
“You won’t, but if you do… you can always find us. You can find me in the candles, lighting your way back to us.” The witch replied, your body relaxing as Natasha’s manicured nails came to brush through your hair.
“And I will always guide you back. Any little owl you see, that’s me, helping you find your way back to us.” The Widow whispered, kissing your cheek.
You exhaled slowly, trying to grasp everything. “I’m scared.” You whimpered.
Natasha shushed you lightly, holding your cold body close to her Russian warmth. “You don’t have to be scared anymore, malyshka (baby). Wanda and I are going to help you get back in control, just like we did when we met you.”
“That is a promise we can keep, Iubirea mea (my love). Now sleep. You can rest now.” Wanda kissed your temple as you closed your eyes, filling your mind with happy dreams whilst she worked on removing your programming once again.
