Hola amigos! I see a lot of people saying how, when you're learning a new language, it's better to watch shows/movies and listen to music in that language, so!
I require help!
I'm learning Spanish and I need recommendations! (google is of no help, obviously)
I like just about anything so give me all of your Spanish music, tv shows and movies recommendations!
Oh and content creators as well! Anything really I just want more to watch/listen to more content in Spanish

Did you know that in spanish we have many expressions with milk? I don't think it's a thing in Colombia, maybe only here in Spain, but forgive me for taking the opportunity to do a silly comic.

Tengo conocimientos básicos de español y quiero mejorar. ¿Puedes ayudarme? ¡Quiero aprender a hablar español!
I am brushing up on my Spanish once more. My understanding of the language is rudimentary at best, able to hold simple conversations, but wish to improve. If anyone is able to help, it would be greatly appreciated. If not, then I will happily settle for being corrected when I make a mistake in any Spanish post. (That includes this one—I am not sure if I was able to translate properly.)

Spanish Grind
Alright, with only 2 weeks left until the start of school, it's time to get serious.
If anyone has any movies, shows, games, books, etc for Spanish learning, HIT ME UP
A life of laziness and low motivation has taught me that when people have high expectations of you they usually say it more in threat than in practice, but I actually would like to improve. So I need stuff to force me into it😅
You can make music suggestions, but I'm technically already set on that front thanks to the wondrous genre called latin rock
^that's probably not the real genre name but anyway
I tried finding shows a while back, but the only things I really see in lists are super recent shows (2020-2023), soap operas (I will check those out but I think they speak too fast for my current level), or netflix-esque dramas (teens+nsfw+substance abuse). I'm not big on scifi.. but if there's any shows that look good or that you happen to like, share them with me regardless of genre!! Who knows, I might end up liking it :D
Um and if there happens to be any shows about lawyers or something, that might be useful. We have to write a lot of emails this year.
To anyone seeing this and making a suggestion- thank you! I hope you have a wonderful day

disney actually let doofenshmirtz swear in the official captions?????
(because he was watching a telenovela in the episode, the original english version of the show had him say "¡Maldito seas!" to Perry)

I've been having thoughts about a character that is basically a chibi Death/Grim Reaper, and I've found out that Grim Reaper in Spanish is Parca, so before I go daydreaming further, is Parcito offensive in any of the Spanish languages, or does it have any offensive meaning in any other language?
Or what about Muertito? Which was my original name for the character and I just realised you could call him Tito for short 🥺🥺

Does anyone haves tips on learning Spanish quicker/easier? I do duolingo for a good 15-20 minutes a day, more sometimes when I can, but that app can only take tou so far.
And unfortunately, I don't know anyone in my friends circle who speaks it so I have nobody to practice with. I have to rely on watching Spanish ccs which is amazing but only listening can only get you so far.
So, if anyone has tips, please let me know! I'm not very advanced, at all, in the language but I do want to learn it!

Brunito, Pepita and...?
I’m curious, what do you call Julieta? Right now I can only remember people using “Juli” or variants, and I can understand why, her name is longer than “Pepa” and “Bruno”. But… You can use -ita too.
Julietita / Julietica... Even with Juli, you can call her Julita (I personally don't know anyone in real life who uses it, but it's an option).
And I know that “-ito/-ita” is little or small in english, but I think we lost some nuance with the translation. I use it as an expression of love or affection too. Like Casita, they aren’t calling their house small (I can fit the whole place where I lived last year inside their kitchen/dining room lol), it’s like “House <3. Bruno can say -ita for his sisters too, even if he is the baby brother. My little brother does it, although my usual response is suspicion “Why are you trying to use that card? What did you do???” because we don’t usually use our names, only stupid nicknames. I can see Bruno starting a conversation with something like "Pepita, mi queridísima hermanita" and Pepa starting to sweat "OH NO"
