Appreciation post for my dog : my bf and I had been called crazy cause we rescued a dog from Romania and brought him back in England, and then we moved to France and bought a car just so we could drive down in the Alps with our dog to not stress him out with the plane. But France was not for us so we moved to Spain shortly after and my grandmother kept our dog, time for us to find a good house for him. When we had the perfect place, we drove 1800km over the weekend to go get him and bring him back. We rescued him when he was 11 years old and he is now 14years old and trust me when I say that we would move mountains for him. We are not crazy, we love him and he deserves the have the best last years of his life. When we got him, he was frightened by everything, his jaw was broken in half, his ears mutilated and most of his bones had been broken at least once and he never received the right care for it. And you know what so many years of abuse did to him ? He doesn't bark, doesn't like to be petted, he has a front paw that is basically dead and he is starting to be deaf. But to see him happy in a field, or nibbling on a bone, or simply sleeping so deeply without a care in the world is enough for us, cause he feels safe and loved. He deserves to be happy. All dogs deserves to be happy.
