Many factors contributed to my day feeling weird and strangely unsettling, so I sketched these

I also think I’m gonna start putting my URL on most (digital) drawings. Not that it’s being stolen or anything (as far as I know), I just… want people to be able to find me. I don’t really mean because i want the credit, I mean more like… say it ends up on Pinterest or something, and a person sees it and thinks it’s cute and doesn’t yet know who I am. Maybe they want the full collection of my art. I’d want them to be able to check right away who I am, to be able to confirm that they enjoy the artist just as much as the art. And if they don’t for whatever reason, they can hopefully come to a much quicker acceptance of that, having already had all the information from day one.

Oh but on a much brighter note, @crossover-enthusiast I actually sketched John and Jack in the swap mod!

Kinda unfinished but whatever.

The idea I came up with for them is that instead of being bullies, they’re the kids who are always like “hey you’re not allowed to do that dummy” and are very rule oriented. Something I had in mind was that one episode of The Brady Bunch (I am not that old I swear-) where Bobby becomes the safety monitor of his class and it takes him like 2 seconds to become the entire school’s hated sheriff and the kid that nobody likes because he always stops the fun and lays down the law.

I also thought this would make their dynamic with the demon kids more interesting, since instead of both parties being mean, one is affably evil while the other is comically ‘those kids’

I was gonna include Robert and John together, since I figured Robert would actually be John’s uncle in this world, but then stuff happened and I didn’t (STARTED it tho)

It’s Draco’s favourite too, so he sits with Scorpius by the pond often, under the full, soft petals, and watches Scorpius scoop at the water with a conjured green fishing net. He uses his magic to make the petals fall close to Scorpius, and they kiss the water and unfurl inches from him, until they’re scooped up by the net and placed in a pile on the grass./Scorpius laughs each time he catches one, patting his chubby legs with glee./It makes Draco feel warm.

I have three stories that I would like to write at least some part of before the deadline for the Inklings Challenge.

I am scrolling tumblr and obsessively looking up book recommendations online.

I see some problems here.

#adventures in the inklings challenge #i am having a scatterbrained week #so very tired yet unable to sleep #mind going off in a million different directions #unable to focus because i have an event at 7 pm #i keep trying to do inklings housekeeping and then forgetting what i was supposed to do #i would like a refund on this brain #at least the obsessive book rec scrolling could be useful for at least one of the ideas #so far the plan is: finish the short story that's been my main focus for the challenge #by just starting at the beginning and writing instead of trying to finesse old material into the new outline #try to write at least one scene that's more of a prequel to the other main idea #and if by some magic i have time left (where??? i don't think you understand the concept of linear time sweetheart)#scribble out a version of the third idea #oh wait there's a fourth one!#that's one's very scribbly though #that one could realistically be written in saturday spare moments #i guess the hope with idea 3 would more accurately be a hope to *start* so it's an unfinished story to write after the deadline #rather than trying to sneak in a new story under the inklings umbrella under false pretenses

I've been so stressed today and yesterday that my whole body hurts. 😩 Not even over anything special, half of it is just my brain telling me things are going to go badly down the line, probably. Hurts so much I might take a covid test just in case.

#I'd actually gotten over yesterday's stress #and then completely fucked up the RBB signup so I was so late that I couldn't get any of my choices #and I knew I couldn't write any of the remaining slides #so this is the second bang I've had to miss entirely because of my own inability to just do things correctly #(last time the problem was technically my inability to come up with a fic anyone would want to illustrate)#deep into Jenna Maroney doing her self-evaluation drunk hours #I think the preliminary HR interview I did last week is not going to turn into a proper interview #wouldn't put money on it but I'm fairly sure I was supposed to hear back about it this week if so #do not have a good feeling about the short story or novella I've submitted recently #also kind of fuck-it-why-bother about the non-fiction proposal I'm finishing up #at least I've been able to write a bit today but like my usual Saturday lunch writing went nowhere because of the self-recriminations #it me

my mum is very against me buying any more photo ops for all the cons i’m going to (which i get, it’s like 100 for a photo) but she’s for some reason on board with me buying an actual camera for taking pictures during the panels.

Mrs Weasley returned home, greeting the three of them. They all joined her in the kitchen to find out what she had brought back from the market.

“Is Harry going to become a permanent thing now?” Mrs Weasley asked.

Ginny looked over at him. “We’re still a thing yes, permanent… we’ll see”

He raised his eyebrows in surprise. “What do you mean ‘we’ll see’…?"

“I didn’t mean it like that,” Ginny told him squeezing his arm. “I just meant that yes, you and I are still a thing.”

“Apparently not for long,” he joked.

Ginny kissed his cheek. “I am glad they picked you, okay?”

He turned back to Mrs Weasley. “I am a thing for the time being,” Harry responded, wrapping an arm around Ginny.
