i feel like it took ages but hey i finally have a computer that sort of works so with that let’s actually get this introduction thing out of the way, better late than never.
some people might know me already -- i go by shino and i have been in lgc before back when it opened as the very first app (still proud of this) and later as lukas (vape boy, if you know you know) to those of you who don’t know me i’m 27, agender (they/them) and hugely socially awkward.
introducing my boy ko isaac, or better known as jaemin. i intend to address him as jaemin in my threads but your muse can know him by either name (more likely isaac if you’re an older trainee) and depending on how things play out with eventual stage names and stuff i might switch to using isaac.
if you want me to pop into your ims for some plotting you can feel free to like this post. i have some background and personality information available on him, but haven’t been able to do the profile yet because of my computer issues. under the cut there’s a few loose plot ideas. i am also open for event plotting.
your muse is absolutely fascinated by isaac’s ‘spiritual abilities’ and has vowed to become his apprentice.
isaac is your personal fortune teller and you always enjoy getting listening to him reading your fate and future.
you don’t believe in fortune telling in the slightest and can’t seem to do anything but laugh at and mock isaac for his blind belief.
you find him rather charming and wish he would notice you and look at you as lovingly as he does with the stars.
you entered legacy around the same time and while you have spent your time excelling in one field, isaac seems to have wasted his by fooling around in multiple areas. this makes you rather upset and makes you wonder if he really wants to do this.
you are a pair of unlikely friends, perhaps people wonder why you are friends with someone who seems as air headed as he is, but something in you has always found him interesting and you made it your duty to look after him only to realise he is more than capable of doing so himself.

1) Ah yes, I understand what you're trying to say with how hetero couples are always made to be explicitly romantic with love confessions, kissing and such, while with gay couples it's always just subtext and 'up to interpretation', but then again, that's sadly the world we live in. Gundam series are targeted first and foremost at boys/men and we know that the majority of them are straight, therefore straight romances are something they would identify with, while gay romances are something that
2) would most likely make them feel uncomfortable, because, that's unfortunately the way things are and I'm sure the writers of Gundam series are aware of that and make their series in a way so that they'd not chase away their potential target audience. That's why they can't or don't want to make their hinted gay ships explicitly canon. But I think the on-screen validation of shinoyama is a step in the right direction and I hope they'll follow through in any potential future Gundam installments.
3) To me the deal with gay Gundam ships is clear - if two guys have a very close, strong relationship with each other, if they're constantly shown together in the official arts and other official materials, if they're paired up in OPs/EDs and if none of them has an official canon ENDGAME female love interest, then it's safe to assume they're a gay Gundam couple. The list is currently not that long (Trowa/Quatre, Dearka/Yzak, Aston/Takaki and Shino/Yamagi), but it's better than nothing. I would
4) defend those ships and prove their 'canonity' till the end of time and longer if needed. As for the innovades, them being 'some form of nonbinary' is not really a headcanon, but canon reality, I guess, as that's exactly what the official materials (supposedly) say, that they're gender-neutral/agender, but the confusing thing is, it's never really explained what it means in practice or from purely technical point of view (ex. how their bodies are built, how they identify), so I'm not sure if
5) our real-life categories and labels would actually apply to people who are artificially made according to their creators' visions and wishes and to whom a body could be just a replaceable container. As for the movies, the 'A Wakening of the Trailblazer' has raised some extreme reactions to say the least (it's either you love it or hate it and nothing in between), but I'd still recommend you watch it and make an opinion for yourself, as it's a direct canon epilogue that addresses some of the
6) issues hinted at in the main series (ex. the 'dialogues yet to come' thing). There's more information about Tieria too. OK, I guess that's it. I'll try not to bother you anymore. :) PS. I forgot about Lockon/Tieria in that shortlist. I'm such a fail.
Ah, I see where you’re coming from with this. I guess we all have our different interpretations of canonness, and that’s fine! I definitely agree with the whole target audience thing; this being a shounen/seinen series definitely hinders its progress to having more canon gay couples. But yeah, ShinoYama is definitely the closest we’ve gotten to my definition of canon and it’s absolutely a step in the right direction.
