This fic is still in the planning phase, I’ve not started writing it properly, it’s mainly just little bits of dialogue and description and dot points rn.

It’s for the Sherlock Holmes podcast adaptation, Sherlock & Co, and is sort of a montage style Johnlock fic with little elaborations on certain scenes or mentions in each episode that nod towards John and Sherlock realising feelings towards each other.

The title comes from the prompt I hastily wrote down after listening to one of the episodes that goes,

“There were little things, little moments, that made John think that maybe Sherlock felt the same way. Only little ones, but moments all the same.”

🔍 - Have you guessed the solution to any of the mysteries? Well, Silver Blaze was pretty much the same as the ACD canon (there's not much modern changes to horse racing, I guess lol) So that one was pretty clear from the beginning.

📣 - How did you find out about S&C? Here on tumblr! A few people I follow were posting about it and got me curious. Thank god for them <3 (i wish i remembered urls or literally anything ever, I could name them lol)

🎞 Which story are you most excited to see adapted? - My fav story is the blue carbuncle so I'm already a winner, but I'm also looking forward to The Man with the Twisted Lip. And The Final Problem, of course.

Probably Victor Trevor!! Him being canonically queer and also his relationship to Sherlock was super sweet and I always liked his character even outside the podcast. I did like PB and Mortimer, and Ratthew is always iconic, but Victor Trevor fursure.

🎙️: favorite quote that has stuck with you?

Hmm, probably when John and Mariana were talking about their jobs, how John wished he became a real estate agent instead of joining the army. "I was there 32 minutes and already wanted to go home." That rlly hit me, hearing about the character's pasts and being open about their trauma always hits me, which is why I loved Trevor and the whole Gloria Scott arc, learning about not only the whole tragedy at the oil rig but Sherlock's insecurity and his trauma from school and John talking about his dad just AHHH I love it.

♥️: Favorite Headcanon?

Sherlock being brown!!! I love poc Sherlock so much, as a poc listener, and I like John with facial hair, it suits him very well. A lot of the headcanon's I have are mostly about their appearances lol.

🕰️: when did you first start listening to s&c?

January! I had heard that it came out in October and I put off listening to it because I didn't want to be queer baited or be disappointed by the characters characterizations but I had a pretty big crochet project and decided to listen to it while I worked and I am so glad I did.

Hi I'm so sorry I didn't answer this sooner, my life was on fire this week. Thank you for the prompts, these are all such good ones too!

🌟: I have got to go with Sherlock as my favorite main character. Sherlock & Co. has such an endearing adaption of Sherlock Holmes as a character-- Thomas the Tank Engine plasters? High fives? Brilliant and yet clearly human? I love him. If he has a hundred fans I am one of them. If he has one fan it is me. If he has no fans I am dead.

❤️: Hmm... this totally not a headcanon because it's essentially canon (although it has been awhile since I re-listened to the Gloria Scott episodes so correct me if I'm remembering wrong), but I am going to take this opportunity to talk about it anyways because I surprised myself! I wasn't expecting to be so fond of the idea of Sherlock & Victor as really close mates in school or roommates, etc. Now I fully recognize that this is surely left over from my time in the BBC Sherlock fandom, which often treats Victor Trevor as a traumatic relationship for Sherlock (both because of what happened to him in the show, and the copious fan content about Victor as an adult). That's neither here nor there, just a different Victor Trevor from a different Sherlock Holmes adaption. That's all to say that I just really like that S&Co. Sherlock had a healthy friendship in school such that he was worried about irreparably damaging that friendship while solving this case. It's very refreshing.

💎: Ahh I LOVE the entire episode the end of The Solitary Cyclist Part 2. Seeing Dr. Jonk Watson M.D. have his moment to shine was so exciting, and Sherlock is such a darling at the end when he congratulates Watson on his stellar work. It's absolutely precious and I totally re-listen to it when I need a pick-me-up.

I didn't answer this sooner bc I didn't know what to say on this one, since I consider my hc pretty popular. But I think that John has a stutter, that used to be pretty bad when he was a child. His mom took him to speech therapy all his childhood, but it still comes up in a stressful day or when he's really excited (yes im projecting)

John is a yapper and I LOVE it, I always imagined him much more talkative than he was in canon

Also thank God they make him awkward and a little crazy again... my boy is back

So many . Oh my God. I can't wait!!!! I saw someone saying that it will probably be like a live event so john won't know what's coming or something like that and like ... YES ?

Tough one! They're all so good! OK if I have to decide on four favourites so far, I'd say

Illustrious Client, because it was the one that truly made me fall in love with the show and the characters (I can tell you the precise *moment* I knew I'd be hooked forever)

Thor Bridge, because the case is so neat, everything just ties together perfectly

Blue Carbuncle, because who doesn't love Blue Carbuncle

Creeping Man, because the modernisation of that one is brilliant (I find it one of ACD's weaker stories because of the unexplained supernatural element, but there's none of that nonsense here, so the podcast version actually makes it a better case than the original is); and because how it starts with Ratthew and then evolves into a human mystery/tragedy is pure storytelling genius

I'm sure the list will only grow!

🔍 - Have you guessed the solution to any of the mysteries?

I'm too familiar with the ACD stories and with classic crime fiction and the theory of mystery writing in general not to see most of the solutions coming, I'm afraid. So for me, the joy in listening is not so much "gasp Oh HE'S the murderer!!" but more "Ah, I love how they did that, I love how they translated that dynamic/that technology/that modus operandi to our modern age". I definitely didn't see coming that Robert (in Noble Bachelor) was in on it, and I didn't guess that the killer in Golden Pince Nez was related to one of the main characters inside the house.

🚂 - How do you like to listen to s&c/what do you do while listening to s&c?

I have a busy family life, so I listen to a ton of podcasts while doing household chores (such as laundry or the grocery run) just to brighten up the routine. But ngl, Sherlock & Co. is so special to me that I save at least the first listen of a new episode for a quieter moment of pure leisure time, when I know I won't be distracted or interrupted, so I don't miss even one second of it. But after that, I re-listen obsessively during my daily routine while we're waiting for new episodes to drop, and it's like The Gang is part of my life and I love it.
