"My hair is not the color of sunlight, Charlie." "Your hair is the color of sunlight, if sunlight were light brown," Charlie said. It might be said he had a way with words. In that his words often got away.

“She took the tool that resembled a shield and pressed it to the roseite. The crystals responded immediately, pulling toward the metal, which (from the slate grey color) seemed to be simple iron. The other tool, the trowel, made the crystals grow away from it. It was of polished silvery metal. (Steel, for those who compulsively track these things.)”—Page 187
What's funny about this quote is that it's possible it was inspired by the fact that during the RoW preview chapters we cared more about metals being mentioned in the epigraphs than Ialai dying.

If you take submissions:
Riina: "So, you've finally arrived- what the hell are you wearing?"
Hoid, in an orange shirt with Marewill flowers on it, red short shorts, and flip-flops and socks: "It's my ass kicking outfit, bitch!"
Original source: "picking RPG clothes based on maxing stats instead of whether they match or not" by ProZD.
(i do take them)

I'm less than 2 chapters in and I'm already staring at the book muttering "what the fuck, what the fuck?" That's possibly a new record for Brando sando.
The Iriali don't even come from the Roshar system? How many interplanetary colonisations of Roshar were there?!

Brandon: I'm gonna write a fun, whimsical, pirate story where the heroine rescues her boyfriend from an evil sorceress!
Also Brandon: also Investiture here manifests as an insatiable parasite that eats you alive

Instead she said, "Huuhhh. Hands are warm." She followed it with a laugh that she choked on halfway through, exactly mimicking—by pure chance—the call of an elephant seal. It might be said that Tress had a way with words. In that her words tended to get in her way.

The Emerald Sea
image description: [scene of Tress, in a brown dress, with her back towards the viewer, her curly blond hair in a thick braid, standing on a cliff of black rock, holding a basket, looking out over the Emerald Sea. In the middle distance a ship, sails full of wind is leaving. A giant green moon overs the horizon it’s shadows and green dust falling down into the ocean. There’s a black column of smoke rising from the left behind the rock and it drifts to the right in slow waves.]
