ok i need someone elses (especially- but not exclusively- other afab autistics, cis or trans) thoughts on this shit cause im losing my goddamn mind i just have so many feelings about gender and its fucking me up

ok so.

ive always sorta felt disconnected with my gender and i dont think me being autistic helps with it either. what with trying to pinpoint feelings and all that being hard. and it has i guess planted a lot of doubt surrounding my thoughts and feelings about my own gender in my mind. i question if everything im feeling is just bc im autistic. which is why im making this post!! i just need some outside perspectives and thoughts and i guess i want to know that im probably not alone in my struggles with this.

idk how i wanna structure this post but ill just write down the things that come to mind.

like before i hit puberty i was not into the idea of it at all. and before i had considered the fact that i might be trans, i thought it was just because i didnt like the thought of change. and i think thats normal, being hesitant about puberty.

BUT uhm. now im not religious. but i vividly remember praying to god that i would at least be as late a bloomer as possible. if not, never ever going through afab puberty. and i always felt more inclined towards amab puberty, and i thought it was a MUCH better deal than whatever afab puberty was going to do with me.

and i feel really silly writing this cause that does not sound like something a normal cis girl would do or think... and i feel quite confident in me being not cis. but i guess this is just a post to seek some validation in my suspicion and feelings. but i also want to know if it is an experience others share.

my gender thoughts as i call them have been particularly prevelant since 2019, thats when i think i first started contemplating whether i might just actually be trans. at that time i believe it was more towards the non binary, but nowadays its ftm

and i just idk. im kinda lost and lonely here, i havent talked about with any family members which are the people i spend most of my time with currently. i wanted to get the perspective of people who are also autistic and might relate to the gender feelings and yeah

and ok no sorry, jumping back, cause its always at its worst before and during shark week (like right now :)) and that has also thrown me off quite badly

cause what if its just pms, or just some kinda hormone imbalance or some shit like that. am i crazy cause sometimes i feel like im driving myself mad with this stuff. is it common to have really intense thoughts about gender anytime your period is about to kick in.

also growing up with a younger brother (who also has a whole ass army of guy friends) when you have these thoughts is fucked up ngl who allowed this. youre telling me he gets to just get that puberty for free. fucking hell wtf

maybe if i get free time from my other writing stuff ill work up the courage to write some whump or something and submit it here, i know my fave things to write are niche or will get repetitive but if other people genuinely like/want lu x reader stuff centred around queerness, disability and hurt/comfort then i might get the itch for it.

Im all about plotting, and while i have a few basic plots, id love partner feedback to help build something really cool! Whether thats AU, pre-game, post-game, canon divergence, nsfw or sfw, anything is game.

Conversationally im pretty lax (obvs) but while rping i do need someone at least semi-lit. I only rp in paragraph format (sorry, its just the only style im comfortable with). Also, we all have lives and jobs and such, and while theoretically id like to be able to respond several times in one day, that doesn't usually happen lol. On a low day i might not reply at all, or just once (though this is not common, and i will do my best to let my partner know if it’s gonna be a day like that). Short term or long term is fine, im not picky.

I tend to be friends (or at least friendly) with my rp partner(s), so if its okay I’d like to make a server just for my partner and i to rp in so we can have different channels just for chatting/plotting/rping whatever. Im totally cool with doubling up or both of us playing multiple characters. I know ashley is pretty integral to leon and luis, so i have no problem being her for a scene or something as needed. Same thing with characters like chris or claire, ect. I dont mind taking the role of leon or luis, i dont have a preference– this will be the first time im rping either of them (though ive been rping in general since i was, like, eleven) so the first few replies will be a learning curve for me regardless of trying to get their personalities down and whatever.

My dms are always open!! Pls hit me up with any questions or whatever. I have in the past roleplayed like a billion different anime fandoms (mha, naruto, soul eater, blah, blah) and have had a special interest in the hobbit/ lord of the rings/ warrior cats/ redwall since ever and write fanfiction for the hobbit (bagginshield my beloved), so if somebody reads this and maybe wants to hit me up for something around there, feel free!! Though i will be continuing my search for a serrenedy partner lol

i think that insinuating that people who disagree with your interaction with the hp franchise agree with sending death threats is a tad unfair. there are people who go to extremes from all sides, and to lump them all together to prove your point would make as much sense as me saying that you engaging in harry potter means you personally agree with violent transphobia

i get that hearing that the person behind one of your favourite franchises is rough and youd rather seperate the art from the artist. hp was the first thing i got really into and it shaped my childhood in a way that nothing else did. it was there for me when nobody else was. i read the books countless times and i have pretty much every fact about the world memorised. hearing what jkr was saying sucked

but im a trans person in the uk, so it's not just a case of seeing some bad takes on twitter. the causes she donates to, the rhetoric that she spreads, impacts me personally. it impacts thousands and thousands of people like me personally

and yeah, making a hp au doesnt directly give her money. but it can very easily appear as a show of support, whether you say you personally disagree or not. and if you dont care that terfs will see your account and think you're one of them, then fine. if you don't care that a majority of trans folk won't fully trust you because of that, that's your call. i mean that genuinely, not passive aggressive or anything. you can do what you want.

but while you can do what you want, please don't act like the people who disgree with your actions are being irrational or inflammatory. just because it doesnt seem like a big deal to you doesnt mean it isnt huge deal to others.

i hope this didnt come off as an attack! i just wanted to try and clarify the perspective of the anons you've recieved recently, and feel free to dm me if you'd like to discuss anything

People who disagree with me don't consider them stupid on the contrary I am happy to discuss opposing opinions so that we can have a civil conversation, what I hate is when some people take only a part of my speech to not understand all the rest just because they only want to understand what they want.

I understand being angry with Rowling who started saying obscenities and bullshit about the trans community and I'm sorry it made you suffer I can't even imagine how you felt, but is it necessary to blame people who want what they love?

I understand your point of view perfectly but you understand mine too, right now I feel accused of something that I don't think in the slightest and that I have never thought of in my life because I've never broken anyone's balls, everyone has the right to do and be what they wants but they must not in turn become a persecutor of others.

Im all about plotting, and while i have a few basic plots, id love partner feedback to help build something really cool! Whether thats AU, pre-game, post-game, canon divergence, nsfw or sfw, anything is game.

Conversationally im pretty lax (obvs) but while rping i do need someone at least semi-lit. I only rp in paragraph format (sorry, its just the only style im comfortable with). Also, we all have lives and jobs and such, and while theoretically id like to be able to respond several times in one day, that doesn't usually happen lol. On a low day i might not reply at all, or just once (though this is not common, and i will do my best to let my partner know if it’s gonna be a day like that). Short term or long term is fine, im not picky.

I tend to be friends (or at least friendly) with my rp partner(s), so if its okay I’d like to make a server just for my partner and i to rp in so we can have different channels just for chatting/plotting/rping whatever. Im totally cool with doubling up or both of us playing multiple characters. I know ashley is pretty integral to leon and luis, so i have no problem being her for a scene or something as needed. Same thing with characters like chris or claire, ect. I dont mind taking the role of leon or luis, i dont have a preference– this will be the first time im rping either of them (though ive been rping in general since i was, like, eleven) so the first few replies will be a learning curve for me regardless of trying to get their personalities down and whatever.

I have in the past roleplayed like a billion different anime fandoms (mha, naruto, soul eater, blah, blah) and have had a special interest in the hobbit/ lord of the rings/ warrior cats/ redwall since ever and write fanfiction for the hobbit (bagginshield my beloved), so if somebody reads this and maybe wants to hit me up for something around there, feel free!! Though i will be continuing my search for a serrenedy partner lol

tumblr very rarely notifies me of any @ ’ s . you can @ me if you would like , it pops up on the activity page , i just do not get notified directly / immediately , so i will not see your note right away . i like my dash to be relatively slow , so i read i will that like the morning paper , but i also am not frequent enough on here to always know .

this also goes for anybody who tags me in things . the tumblr tagging system does not pick up most ( if not all ) posts with my url . i cannot use the tag tracking system . at all . i never have been able . i do not know why either i am sorry ! its most likely cause i might not know how to use it fully , im not sure .

if you want to notify me of something or bring to my attention something / a reply, please dm me directly ! it is also better if you dm me in discord . if you do not have my discord , then you can use the tumblr dms ( but they are not always great either ) . if push comes to shove , you can then use my inbox as well , i will not mind if you get my attention like that either !

know that the only thing i do see / notice are likes & reblogs of posts that are on my blog . so that is fine . i don’t need notifications for threads as much .

i promise you it is okay i love getting messages . i just tend to hyperfocus A LOT at times while other times i cannot focus at all & i get really distracted with my squirrel brain . it is okay to gently remind me of something or try to get my attention ! i know many people don’t like that , which is why i don’t do it to others , but i 100 % promise you that it is okay .

🔹anons regarding my history with a specific individual .

i've opted to add this onto my pinned post since some folk seem to want to let me be aware of things i have no longer cared to know for a long time . please read THIS in its entirety if you have not already . it fully explains my history with a specific individual . i DO NOT CARE if you interact with them , i do not care to know your relationship with her , it's not my business . I am also not here to tell you who you should or should not interact with .

she was extremely toxic to me - i am talking emotionally and mentally abusive towards me - especially towards the end of our relationship . she was triggering me, & i was tired of her behaviour . i understand she missed talking to me & was trying to reach out to me but i do not condone the poor attitude that came from her as that is not how you get my attention , it only pushes me away .

i PERSONALLY do not want to interact with her any further , but i do not care if you do . leave me out of it . i wish her the best health , but leave me out of it .

🔹i tend to hyperfocus & vanish , it is NOT me being mean .

i want folks to remember that people do not owe others' immediate responses or attention . Seeking validation from others CAN be a toxic trait ~ ( not always but often times ) Some people take time to respond, others just hyperfocus and get distracted . To assume somebody is being mean because they arent giving you attention is very wrong . i am neurodivergent, which means that if i am not talking to you , it is NOT because i have an issue with you .

Nobody should expect others to give their attention to them . I understand that as friends or any kind of partnership ( be it platonic or romantic ) there should be some decency to talk to one another at any time , but to outright EXPECT another to respond in the way that you want is VERY wrong .

Just because i have my attention elsewhere does NOT make me rude or mean for not getting back to another .

DO NOT get mad if you're not the centre of attention for me . I promise that most of the time its not you , i just FUNCTION differently . that is the REASON why i go by ghost , i really just straight up VANISH from time to time . i promise its not me ignoring you on purpose by any means & im not trying to be mean at all .

Please dont set unreasonable expectations , youll only disappoint yourself . But most importantly , do NOT seek validation from me . Its not cool , and i honestly will not give you what you want . it will most likely end up with me saying something you DONT want , and i can promise you that it will probably not end nicely .
