it actually irritates me so much when people bring up the TENMA parents when someone's discussing Mrs Asahina, Harumichi or even Shinei. if you think poor Mr and Mrs Tenma are remotely comparable to those three disgraces, i am going to assume you don't read

#i get it. some people adore Tsukasa angst #but his parents are literally fine #they might've made a mistake in leaving him alone when visiting Saki but they were STRESSED. UNDERSTANDABLY SO #they haven't traumatised him by leaving him alone #they were NOT favouring Saki. it's no one's fault that Saki needed more attention at the time #yes worrying about his little sister would have affected Tsukasa. but he wasn't rotting in loneliness or something #he was shown to entertain himself at home just fine #parents who aren't perfect aren't automatically Mrs Asahina/Mr Aoyagi level abusive. There are two types of DnD duos in the pjsekai DnD AU:

Akitoya

A: "what do you mean?! We are half-way through the journey and you just quit" I grab Toya by the collar. "You'll just let everything behind?! What did your dad say to you?"

T: "it's my own decision, not my father's. Let go off me"

A: " Why?! And act like none of this existed?! Like you didn't want to do this with me?! To make it all seem like nothing?"

T: I teleport myself to the door, I put my hand in the handle and I look at him. "At this point, I think it is." And I leave.

And Ruikasa

GM Ichika: and you guys see a an old stone, abandoned, spyral stairs going down to the ground, in the darkness. What will you guys do?

R: I turn to Tsukasa. "Rock, paper, scissors to see who goes on the front?"

T: "You're on!"

R&T: "Rock paper scissors shoot!" * Tsukasa chooses paper, Rui chooses scissors *

T: "Not again!"

R: I point to the stairs "lead the way, my bard!"

T: I go down the stairs while grumbling "If there are any bugs in here,I will shove my lute up your throat in your sleep."

Akito will forever curse the day he raised his hand at you... not only because it lead to your relationship coming to an end but because he promised himself to always protect your smile and yet, he was the very reason to cause you pain. Despite 2 weeks passing from that accident now, he still can't get over how cruel he was to you.

When he noticed you on school corridor, he took big breath in and put on a gentle smile before he came to you.

"Hey Y/N! Looking good today!"

He waved his hand as he came closer, trying to come oft as chill and relaxed as possible but inside, he felt like you can even hear how fast his heart beats.

"Again? Could you give me a break from your tricks?"

You on the other side, were still mad at him. You had doubts about your relationship for a while now... he never really could control his anger, so you should've expected that sort of outcome.

"I'm not playing any tricks. I just wanted to tell you facts. And... maybe finally talk a bit?"

He had a hopeful gaze in his eyes, but you only sighed at his proposition.

"Do you want love, even if you have to steal it?"

That left Akito frozen. He thought he could at least talk with you and explain himself, especially since he didn't hold back his sweetness towards you. But you just saw it as him faking his personality... it would probably only lead for old times to come back after all.

Before you turned away, he looked you in the eyes, wanting to say something but held himself back when he saw pure hatred towards him.

It didn't matter that you left 5 minutes ago, he was still standing there, frozen. Was there anything more he could do to make you stay? Or was there no hopes for him from the very beginning?

Seems like the only thing he can do is not force it and let you go. Maybe he can at least show he really changed in the background and one day you'll approach him on your own?

Akito Shinonome

You couldn’t say you were too surprised when Akito showed up in your house without much warning, he does it too far often for whatever reason. But what you thought was going to be a relaxing meeting quickly burnt out in your head as your boyfriend started spewing out a string of curses.

“I fucking hate him, holy shit. I fucking hate him so much- he’s such-“

Akito was shaking with anger and was unknowingly pulling at his hair, you felt terrible for cutting him off while he ranted but he needed to take a breath. He seriously looked like he was ready to fight whoever he was talking about.

“Akito, breath, I’ll get you water… who are you talking about and do you need to stay the night over here?”

“Yes- fuck… my dad, my fucking dad. I can’t stay in that shit hole of a house with that bastard.”

He gulped down the water the second you placed it in front of him, Akito looked really out of it. You weren’t sure if he was okay with physical contact right now, not knowing exactly what situation he just left.

A moment of silence hung over the two of you as Akito was still trying to calm himself down from his anger; not wanting to take it out on you or for you to feel like it’s targeted at you.

“(Name), I can’t go home- I can’t. He’s gonna tell me the same things everyone else tells me, I don’t wanna hear it from my dad… I don’t wanna give up music.”

Although he was giving you the pieces out of order and context, you were slowly started to piece the story together in your head. Akito’s dad must of commented on his music, and clearly it wasn’t a good comment. And Akito must have fired back, leading to a fight. You didn’t wanna ask if it got physical or if Ena got involved, but you had a feeling one of the two did if Akito is this pissed.

“I’m gonna go up to your room, I just need to lay down and be with you. I feel like I’m about to break and I fucking hate it.”

You didn’t muster up any words yet, only following him up to your room where he flopped himself on the bed. The poor boy looked exhausted and drained.

“Akito, you know how much I love you right?”

“Mhm.. I know..”

“You can stay here as long as you need, I won’t leave you alone. As long as you need to get away from your father, my house and room is always open to you. And even if you just wanna stop by- of course.”

Although his faces was buried in the mattress and pillows, Akito was blushing like an idiot and for a moment he forgot all about the fight. As long as he had you by him, he knew things would be ok.

“(Name), get over here, you know I can hardly sleep without you..”

Even in all his anger and sorrow, Akito can’t help but see you as his sun. The miserable clouds in his head getting shined through when your around. And though he can’t say it out loud, he hopes the way he hold you tight against him says it for him.

Ena Shinonome

Ena isn’t fond of talking about her struggles, let alone her relationship with her father. So when she comes knocking on your door with tear stained cheeks, you knew it had to have been bad.

She practically collapsed into you when you allow her to enter your house, breaking down into a fit of tears and choked sobs. You didn’t move, only placing your arms around Ena while giving her a soft “Shhhhh.” She didn’t want to move nor leave, wanting to get as far away from her father and struggles as she possibly could.

Her cries quieted down and her sobs became less frequent, making you feel more comfortable with guiding her towards your room. You knew better than to ask her too talk about her problems, so you silently waited while keeping your arms around her until she was ready to speak up.

“My dad- my dad- I hate him (Name), I can’t fucking stand it when he’s there!”

Ena’s breath started to pick up as her eyes started watering again, you squeezed her hand gently and didn’t pry if she didn’t want to continue talking. You just hoped your presence and physical comfort was helping her.

“I was painting something- I really liked it actually..! it was a human heart growing flowers with an eye in the middle, I thought it would be something my dad wouldn’t comment on, since it’s ‘real art’ in his eyes. But he- he told me to give up on it- and to just throw it out. He pointed out every last thing that was wrong with it until I couldn’t even see the good parts of the painting. And he had the fucking audacity to tell me I was too sensitive and if I couldn’t take ‘constructive criticism’ I should just give up!”

She felt herself start to crumble again, too tired to cry but not tired enough to close her eyes. All Ena could do was cling onto you for any sort of security and comfort, what you always gave her just by being there. You softly rubbed her back and held her hand, an act to help calm her down and relax her.

“Ena… I think your art is beautiful, it always feels like a blessing to my eyes whenever you show me a sketch or finished piece. He’s too harsh on you sweetheart, because what I and anyone else see in your paintings is perfection. Do you wanna stay the night to avoid him?”

“I’d like that, a lot. I don’t wanna go back..”

“And that’s okay.”

Ena found comfort on your mattress and under your comforter, the same comfort she always finds with you. It was something that made her life feel less worthless and more bright. She may not say it out loud, but it’s only with you that she can feel this sort of happiness.

Without realizing, she clung to you in her sleep as she washed today’s sorrows out of her mind.

Sweets*Stars AU

A sort-of AU where the Tenma siblings and Shinonome siblings are members of an agency-created idol group, Sweets*Stars (shortened as SuiSuta).

(Kinda) heavily inspired by IDOLiSH7 so even more messy drama than MMJ (and they already have Drama)

Tsukasa Tenma:

SuiSuta leader and co-center.

A nationally-famous solo male idol by the time SuiSuta was formed.

Debuted when he's a 2nd year middle-school (he got scouted).

Later becomes a member (and the shadow troupe leader) of Wonderlands x Showtime.

Known to be a versatile idol and has a great stage presence (his loud voice helps a lot).

Other info:

Accepts the idol scout at first because he wants Saki to have the best doctor in the best hospital so she could get better faster and money wouldn't be an issue

He doesn't really have times to lament his powerlessness so he still remembers his true feeling is wanting to make everyone smile (with shows)

Usually passes out in SEKAI due to overwork. His manager keeps asking him to take a break but he wouldn't rest until Saki could achieve her dream.

Saki Tenma:

SuiSuta co-center.

People knew Tsukasa has a sickly younger sister who wanted to be an idol before she debuted.

Due to having better doctors and facilities, she got better in her 3rd year of middle school. She debuted in 1st year of high school.

No Leo/Need, but Classroom Sekai existed and the four childhood friends managed to rekindle their friendship.

Her image is a cute little sister.

Other info:

Kinda hates Tsukasa for not visiting her as much as she hoped for but also kinda hates herself for even thinking about hating Tsukasa (Tsukasa usually visits late at night when Saki sleeps because his schedule is full during hospital visiting hours)

Wants to be as cheerful and energetic as the Airi that she sees on TV, and hopes that she can become as bright as an idol.

Also besties with Minori and the rest of MMJ. Because she's back to school in the third year she found out about Honami's and Shiho's problems and managed to reunite the four of them with Ichika (and Miku's and Luka's advice)

Shinonome Ena

Joined the audition on a whim and dragged Akito with her, somehow passed the audition.

Kinda hates Tsukasa for various reasons (one reason is his personality), and wants to trade Akito with Saki.

Her beef with her dad now doubled because their father didn't like how both of his children work in entertainment industry.

Still a member of Niigo, and because of that become heavily sleep-deprieved.

Her image is a coy little devil

Shinonome Akito

Being dragged to the audition with Ena, somehow passed the audition

Doesn't mind Saki but hates Tsukasa for being annoying, loud, and meddlesome

Basically know very little about idol industry, so he's The Rookie of the bunch

Still active as VBS but appear in music events less

His image is a cool bad boy

Lore

The audition that Ena dragged Akito to is an idol audition for female-male siblings

I love complicated sibling relationships (Nanase twins and Izumi bros) so I make the Shinonome sibs and Tenma sibs become even more complicated

I mean, Tsukasa split his time with idol work when Saki was hospitalized so of course there'll be consequences

Sometimes well-meaning but thoughtless actions can result in undesirable outcomes, and that's what happens in this AU a lot of times

I love my Tsukasa & Mafuyu as middle school acquaintances AU so that one stays

No matter what I can't separate the OG groups, but what happens after the Shinonome sibs have even more things on their plates? Even more trouble I guess

Will Ena and Akito stays as idols with all the drama in their work and personal relationships?
