Rewatching Matilda and WOW Miss Honey deserves an award like I have no idea how I would’ve reacted if I found out one of my tiny little elementary school students had a psychic connection to me specifically and also was telekinetic and incredibly powerful and dramatic about it

Let me just say…
I’m fucking sobbing. Over several things, in fact.
FIRST OF ALL- ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL HAD NO RIGHT TO MAKE ME CRY LIKE THAT!!! As an avid fan of the musical the original movie, and the book, it was safe to say my heart was torn to pieces. Well done, I personally think that it was incredible.
And SECOND OF ALL- HIS DARK MATERIALS HAD NO RIGHT TO MAKE ME CRY LIKE THAT!!! I’m not even up to Episode 8 and I was sobbing. I had to pause when I finished just watching to contemplate everything. The beautiful effects, the storyline and the writing. THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. And even though I know where the story is going since I read the books, it makes my heart ache.
Welp. Someone save me. Or ramble to me. No spoilers, please….. /srs

Children's librarian here: This is, in fact, 100% the kind of question I'd expect from a kid Matilda's age.
