Super awesome and cool theory that’s totally original
// TW: Sacrifice/ Mention of Su!cide ( kinda ) //
I’ve seen this been talked about before, but I love the theory so here I am to go over it :p
So if you don’t know the theory, it basically is that either Leo thought the light was a portal to the afterlife or that he thought he was hallucinating.
Now this theory works because 1; Leo has no absolute idea that Mikey can open a portal like this, or thinking he wasn’t capable. 2; I would assume in this situation he thought no one could save him and that it was time for him to go, accepting his fate easily. We see him reaching out to the portal; a lot of times; portals of light are represented as the gateway to the afterlife; hence Leo reaching out. Leo is obviously fucked up in this act; so it would make since that he would easily just be like “ okay time to join gram gram” and shit idk.
// take this scene for example; I think this is when he realizes his fate, and accepts it after //
And now for the hallucination . now yeah, Leo got the shit beat out of him, probably giving him a lot of ( brain ) damage. In this situation he probably would think it was a hallucination, I mean, how could he know Mikey could make a portal so easily with no practice? I think this theory can also make since, but hey, it’s just a theory. ( Matpat moment )
Like I see what the writers were going for, but without any practice-? And in such a situation of grief and sadness it must be pretty hard to focus. And what a coincidence he was able to make the portal right after Leo committed suic- I MEAN.. sacrificed himself. Obviously
Anyways off point; both of this theories are incredibly thought-through and believable.
I hope you enjoyed my silly little rant! Feel free to ask me to do more rants :3

Every so often I think about my I'm Not Dead Yet AU and like
It's generally agreed upon by the fandom that Raph is one of the first to die, right? ...What if his death is the turning point in the war? What if his death is the thing that makes his surviving family realize that, no matter if they succeed or not, that the world they grew up in is really gone? That they're fighting to restore a world that cannot be brought back?
But none of that matters to Raph, because he doesn't know that. He doesn't see how his family reacts to his death, because he doesn't truly die, he gets sent back in time. He might not realize it at first, but he's stuck in the past with no way of getting back to his family. Sure, he now has the power to find the Key and prevent the Krang from ever escaping the prison dimension, but if he does, the future versions of his family, the brothers he grew up alongside and lived through the end of the world with, will never exist.
Unrelated, now nobody knows he's a mutant except him. There are no other mutants, really. Everyone around him (at least in the Hidden City) assumes he's just another yokai. Maybe one with a tragic story, given all his scars, but plenty of yokai have those. A part of his identity is gone now, the part that he shared with his brothers. The part that made him one of them.
Tbh this is part of the reason he effectively changes his name to Ragnarok (or at least one of the factors) because what fun is having a character question his entire identity if he doesn't get a fun name change out of it lol

I'll do this on the sidelines and work on it whenever I want, my main focus will be on TMAYT though.
Suggest me any character from like a fandom or even send me ya'lls OCs if you want me to draw. No promises I'll do them all. Okay have a nice day.
