"Community, the foundation of my memories."

Good day! I'm Rinard C. Guanio but before I proceed let's talk about how did i came in marikina heights. I was born in marikina heights in the year 2002. My grandparents told me that they lived in marikina since 1959. The gradual change in Marikina heights is really beneficial to people in marikina heights because way back then, rocky roads is seen everywhere but the only thing that differs 1959 to 2019 is that it's more peaceful just like my late Grandfather told to me. Enjoy! :)

People nowadays think things will remain the same but little do they know that the only permanent to this world is "change". Acceptance maybe hard but just like other people say, "life must go on". As we can see, most changes happened in the community is for good just like the Marikina Heights "Circle Mall". They removed jollibee and chowking but the newly restaurant called "Tita Neneng's" gain more attraction than having those 2. The newly built "Ayala Malls" in marikina heights become a hit in many people of marikina heights, new jobs, shops, bookstores, restaurant, groceries and many more! This changes let my community evolved in the best way. For me, marikina heights in the year 2009 to 2012 is peaceful but lack of joy. Yes, I'm happy that time with my parents playing in the marikina heights park but it doesn't mean that we're already fulfilled. In marikina heights park year 2008 to 2011, there are christmas tiangge that make people's unity to show up then create a positive atmosphere but today tiangge is not happening anymore because of the reatriction of the barangay of marikina heights but it doesn't stop the people because they want to make people happy so they're doing the best for all of us here in marikina heights because we are all family, we love and care for each other so the people stand the tiangge in the No.1 attraction here which is the "Ayala Malls". I still see the people who make my childhood the best that's why I'm so happy that i lived here in marikina heights. The memories that we created here will never be severed by anyone else in this world because this "Community" of mine will conquer and destroy everything on it's way and rise to the top that will make us the very best.

Some changes in my community didn't give us a benefit like the concepcion wet market fire that happens in the year 2011 to 2013. After the fire, McDonald's was built and became the most attractive fast food chained restaurant here. The concepcion wet market gave us the best ingredients, second to the marikina wet market, "Bayan". But we must accept that the concepcion is long gone now so we continue to bring honor to the people who lost their jobs along the flames of the concepcion wild fire. My father used to say that marikina heights is a very good place because our Great Lolo puti, Magdalo V. Francisco, the late founder of "Jufran ketchup" used to live here.

I love my community. I'm proud to say that "Laking marikeño ako!" I am Rinard Guanio of H101 - Celerio. My Community, my Pride and Joy!
