Set after the Broken Code arc but before A Starless Clan arc begins.

After the defeat of Scourge, Bloodclan was scattered until one fierce cat, Redclaw, inspired by the true warriors of the forest and great dreams of the future forms a new clan, Redclan. A few generations after this clan was formed, its current leaders feel it's next step is to join the other forest clans in their new home by the lake, and finally be accepted under the stars as warriors. But shadows lurk in the nights, and dark intentions keep hope at bay. Can a young apprentice named Red find the truth and learn what it really means to be a true warrior?

Hell yeah thank you so much! I didn't go much into why, but yes — most of Blueclan's (BLU team) cats are skinner (with a few exceptions I'll mention.) Initially it was more reasoning in my head, but I'll try explain my thoughts

It's a silly AU and everything is silly. There is a distinct lack of clan heritage and culture we see in the books. It is purely two clans comprised of rogues because Redstar and Bluestar (Redmond and Blutarch) are assholes with no friends or family with a massive territory left to them to split 50/50. As per canon, they're stupid about it and both gather up a clan of rogues to steal the land off each other.

As it stands, Redclan (RED Team) occupy most of the land, whereas Blueclan live on the outskirts. This is to play on the Attack/Defense roles the teams play in the game. Redclan are more aggressive in strategy as a general rule. They defend their borders mercilessly, while Blueclan constantly attempt to attack their camps and take patches of land back... and ultimately wish to take all the territory for themselves too. So it's not really like the Sunningrocks with Riverclan and Thunderclan with heritage vs survival. Neither Blueclan or Redclan are entitled to shit. They're both assholes. Neither clan is right and they're just trying to kill each other.

But basically because of this massive difference in territory size, Blueclan live up in the colder areas. There's less prey, they are mostly thinner than their Redclan counterparts, and have thicker pelts. Also irrelevant but they tend to sleep closer together, whereas Redclan's members just keep apart.

Now for exceptions to this rule! Raccoontrot (BLU Soldier) and Mistmask (BLU Spy) are roughly the same size as their Redclan counterparts (although Mistmask is just naturally smaller/weighs less than Smokeface (RED Spy).) Reasons? Raccoontrot is friends with Sparkloch (RED Demoman), the two visiting each other in secret frequently. Sparkloch brings prey for Raccoontrot each time they visit, and it's honestly suspicious to Blueclan why Raccoontrot seems fine with the lack of food around. Mistmask is also fine because he hunts and steals prey CONSTANTLY from Redclan territory. He's hard to stop because he can mask his scent, and is exceptionally sneaky: if you don't catch him in the act, you'd never know he was there. The scratch on Dingospot's (RED Sniper) face was from the one time he caught Mistmask stealing and the two squared up. That's the only track record they have to know what he's up to.

So in conclusion, I do be out here overthinking this silly AU and I hope everyone enjoyed B))

warriors AU for shade of scales (my story). Hopestar is the leader of Redclan, who actually elects its leaders, much to the distaste of the other three clans. Hopestar renamed himself upon becoming leader, and was granted 9 lives despite the unusual method of choosing a leader. Fallstar is the leader of a different clan, who was raised to be the leader to stand up against Redclan.

it really makes me wanna share my own fan clans / develop them more !! if i may be a lil self-indulgent, these are quick overviews of 'em ( they are based loosely on the west coast of america, specifically california and its coastal redwoods ) !

ridgeclan live on rocky cliffs that mostly overlook the other territories, and make their camp inside the crags in the rock. they're the most reclusive, yet are amazing allies, they have a righteous upbringing that makes them defend those in the right.

redclan make their home in the trunks and underbrush of a large, shadowy redwood forest, falls into a sandy beach area. they are known to be the most brash, but are very inclusive, if you can prove yourself, that is.

birchclan has their camp in an abandoned tree house, a big one too, that has multiple bridges that connect to other small houses. while redclans forest is ancient, shadowy, and thick with underbrush, birchclans forest is younger, with enough space between the foliage and branches that dapple the grass below. at their best, they can seem confident and wily, at their worst, they're smug and apathetic.

streamclan is a lot like riverclan, but wayy more playful and inquisitive. some would even say the can is full of air heads... i never knew what else to add to that clan, agshsgs

and the last would be the mysterious cavernclan, that live in the cove that can be found for into the beach. they stopped attending gathering for a WHILE and there are rumors of what's going on with them.

annnnd that's it! the plot would've kicked off at the height of a california drought and heatwave, a stranger arriving in ridgeclan, and unfurling the mystery with cavernclan through the eyes of a ridgeclan apprentice + the friends they'd slowly make in other clans.

Im thinking about making my own clans in a California inspired territory at some point!!!

Also bringing in our drought and heatwave as a plot line is great it would be super interesting to see how that would effect things!

He landed hard on the sand, digging his talons into it as he collapsed onto his side. Everything was utterly silent, and lonely, except for the waves that crashed nearby. The sun glittered in the sky above him, warming his feathers.

Sigh: another fantasy AU based off of the manga Seraph of the End, where Howe and Clinton fight vampires! ofc it’s more than that but that’s all you need to know for this

He glanced at Burgoyne. “That makes no sense. That man is supposed to be dead. How is he a vampire?”

“I have no idea,” Burgoyne said with an exasperated sigh. “Why do you expect me to know everything about them? We’ve been on separate continents for the past five years! All I can tell you is that they’re extremely dangerous.”

Fight: guess what....ANOTHER AU!! this one is based off of Warrior cats (yeah the childrens series) where everything is the same but everyone is cats living in these Clans. Here, Blackpaw is Tarleton (he’s still an apprentice), and his assigned mentor, Crouchfang, is Cornwallis!

Owlbreeze called out to his cats.

“Stand and fight!” he cried. “We outnumber them!”

Blackpaw dug his claws into the ground, bunching up his muscles and preparing to launch himself into the fray. BumbleClan was being progressively driven back into the forest, and Crouchfang yowled out the signal.

“RedClan, attack!”

Hi, I love your TF2 warrior cats AU! I was just curious though, do the clans have deputies? Or someone who informally fills the deputy role since Redmond/Redstar and Blutarch/Bluestar are uh like that. Just curious because I saw the deputy position mentioned on Soldier's page, but I don't know if anybody fills it!

Helloo!! Thank you so much heehee I'm glad to hear it! As for your question (thank you again btw, love to ramble about this!), short answer would be no, none of the mercs are officially deputy, and authority in situations basically drifts between who is naturally suited to handle it in the moment. It's spontaneous, unprofessional, and (obviously if you read or have read Warriors and know the sensitivity of the code rules regarding deputies) completely unorthodox. But that's kind of the point, I'd like to translate into this AU how sloppy and chaotic the canon TF2 universe is with this team of misfit men just doing what they're told without any real vision or clarity in what they're doing other than killing each other over and over.

To add onto that, Bluestar and Redstar are barely present in the clan's lives. Their orders are trickled through the kittypet Puddles (Miss Pauling) and The Voice (The Administrator), and that pretty much makes up the entire structure of their command chain. So I guess you could say those two unofficially take up the role (mainly The Voice, with Puddles as the mouthpiece.) The closest to any official clan roles between the mercs themselves would be Doveschweif (BLU Medic) and Federheart (RED Medic) as medicine cats. But truth be told, they both were cut from the weight of those roles when they were exiled from their previous clans, and the title is basically just a glorified husk for a healer without much more.

Think Darktail and The Kin in a way: a band of rogues just playing pretend with the honorifics of clan roles and customs but without the culture and familial connections behind it. There is no longevity to Blueclan or Redclan, no heirs or young to carry it on. It starts and ends with Bluestar + Redstar and their gaggle of Rogues.
