I'm reading Red Azalea, a nonfiction book that's written with fairly poetic prose nonetheless. The narrator for it is also one of the narrators for This is How You Lose the Time War. She's so good and yet it's a bit eerie listening to nonfiction when all the elements of the experience feel like fiction. Given how heavy the memoir is, it probably helps keep it from feeling too real sometimes but it's all the more off putting for that. Tis an interesting experience.
