EVERYONE'S FAVORITE PLAGUE DOCTOR IN TRAINING HATH RETURNED!!!!!!! 💜🖤💜#It was almost a given that I'd eventually go back and redraw one of this blog's most iconic OCs in time for the Halloween season#Though seeing as I've since come out as transgender since I last drew Quinn... it only felt right to cook up a new look for her!#Quinn's design (Or previous design rather) is special in that it was mostly androgynous...#... though I've found that the changes I've made make it a little more apparent that she is a woman!#I also chose to specifically reference the pose from the first time I ever drew Quinn featuring the lantern stick from that specific drawin#Mostly because it's been a while since I drew her with her lantern... and because I wanted to show how far I've come!#Another design aspect I'm proud of is that she now more closely resembles what an ACTUAL plague doctor would look like#Prominently her more muted colors and era-accurate overcoat! I also gave her a cape because she looked so cool in one#Look out Patricia... there's a new caped doc in town!#It felt so good to draw Quinn again and I certainly see myself drawing her friends sometime in the near future!

I feel like this is the impetus for Mario and John becoming best friends forever. freshman year they rock up to tryouts for ACHA hockey, ready to work hard for a roster spot and instead they walk into the locker room to this absolutely harmless conversation between two white boys from talking about what is boba, and Mario immediately jumps in as team teas-with-toppings and Leno goes what?? No!! Bc he is team boba is only the pearls and after five minutes of impassioned ranting between the two of them it's very spiderman pointing, hockey player 👉👈 hockey player having too-strong opinions on boba, and they realize they are soulmates. This is an argument that lasts until well into their post-college years, brought up at both their weddings in their best man speeches and possibly their kids' first birthday parties as well.
Their coach is like wow you two are crazy....just what I need on a club hockey team...and they make the roster without actually having to work that hard lol

for the writer ask game — 🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
oh gosh given a lot of what i write is smut, i think the most common denominator is putting max on his knees all the damn time 😩
haha i'm not sure if feels refers to feelings i want to elicit or a feeling i want my writing to embody but for the latter, it would probably be the feeling of anticipation a skydiver would feel before jumping out of a plane?
which is a metaphor i used once, but i love the build up to the point more than the point itself even if i'm too impatient and want to get there now dammit!

She wasn't too pleased on having her fun ruined.
"OI!" She snapped. "Do ya always steal a gal's thunder or is it a new habit you've decided to form?!" Her mallet was clenched tightly in her fists and she's already closing in on him. He wasn't one of the Bat-People, clearly. She wouldn't get in trouble if she clobbered him.

Harley Quinn, created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, was once intended to serve as a one-and-done character for an episode of Batman: The Animated Series. However, due to the charm of her voice actress (and real life inspiration) Arleen Sorkin, audiences around the world quickly grew attached to the jester and her antics. On March 13th of this year, @stephysalcido sent an ask in regarding some details on the ever-skittish plague doctor in-training Quinn, and amidst the selection of facts provided was one that would wind up being relevant in due time...
Today's the day, fellow doctors.
While not the day that I first designed Quinn— which was September 4th, for those keeping track— today is Quinn's in-universe birthday, and I just HAD to draw something commemorating one of my favorite OCs!
Though, it was a little difficult for me to settle on what exactly I wanted to draw at first. My initial plan was to do a simple bust shot of Quinn in a party hat (Rather, with a party hat on his beak... it's still a cute idea I may one day bring to fruition), though I had just drawn Quinn in his entirety a month back, and wasn't really keen on drawing something too identical to it.
But then I remembered that last year on the first of this month, I had drawn a Quinn icon, and while I don't think I ended up using it here on tumblr (Because @breakbeat-solitare had already designed me an icon for October), it was the perfect opportunity to remake it to better fit Quinn's current design iteration while also giving me a chance to use it!
It's the boy! Drawing Quinn is just SO much fun— even if it's a bit challenging to get his beak to look just right (The specific curvature is key), I find that he's one of my more visually appealing OCs and I'm just so excited to finally have him as my icon this October!

last movie: LOL the forever purge. god i love those movies they're fucking stupid but their politics are so pleasant. yes tell me more about how america is a failed and evil project <3 do it with big flashy shootouts <3 (i also thoroughly enjoyed the short-lived tv series.)
currently watching: just finished peacemaker and cobra kai, both of which are about coming to terms with your own washed-up toxic masculinity to varying degrees of success. snowpiercer is still airing! it's not a good show but again i will watch anything that tries to be about the end of capitalism. (the lesbian is so sweet i forgive her for being a cop, but she does not forgive herself!) wrestling, obviously.
currently consuming: tomatoes! we are oversupplied with homegrown tomatoes! they are good but making me lightly ill.

my first big idea for original fiction was about a nonbinary teenager whose best friend was the Big Superhero and they were the guy in the chair but Superhero Boy ended up not being able to defeat the villain because he was, at the end of the day, just a kid. so main character (named quinn) (i called it quinn-tessential as a nickname) (the story not the character) so the main character quinn had to go face the villain but they also couldnt win but who else was going to go and they had no super powers just their laptop which wasnt gonna do anything. cant remember how it was gonna end, probably with the villain realizing they were basically nearly killing children. or maybe with a gun.
