Self love for 2018

So I’m trying to practice self love this year.. it’s hard as hell. I sit here watching moms get their bodies back in like five minutes at the gym going for a run meanwhile, I’m drowning in Mac and cheese and breastmilk lol do i have that last brownie at night? You bet your ass I do. it’s the only hour I get to myself and brownies make me happy lol As a mom of girls I really want to make it a habit to love the skin I’m in, which is super hard right now. I’m huuuge in my opinion, however I just had a baby 5 month ago (9 months of prep), I’m literally still coping with how to handle 2 kids, and I’m trying to remind myself they don’t see my weight, my rolls, my wrinkles, my imperfections.. they see Mama. At this age they don’t even grasp whether I work out or diet they just love squishy hugs from mama. I feel like having girls makes me really want to show them that they will have their season of Baby having and adapting to the chaos of parenthood,but they will find themselves again eventually, and it’s ok if it’s not right away. That they should love themselves through this season.. through the days where you feel gross and can’t remember the last time you wore something other than yoga pants or washed your hair for that matter. It’s soooooo hard to look in the mirror and say dang girl you look good! But when I really look at me-I can see: long nights that seem endless, nursing around the clock, a wife that can still make time for romance, 2 beautiful girls who have more personality than I can handle, a housekeeper and nurse. It’s hard. Hard as hell.. but 2018 is a year of emotional and mental growth for me and I’m choosing to embrace this chapter of self love within motherhood. I just wanted to encourage my fellow mamas whatever stage you are in.. they only see mama. Embrace that. Embrace that their innocent little minds only see squishy, beautiful, loving mama the protector of the universe ❤️

My laugh for the day...I opened the back door to let the dogs out this afternoon and Cora the explora spotted a stranger in the neighbor's back yard and lost her ever loving mind!
