Over the years, the museum has evolved, expanding its collection and its role within the community. Today, it stands as a testament to the enduring passion for art and culture in Greenville County.
Diverse and Vibrant Collections

Decorative Arts: From intricately designed furniture to exquisite porcelain, the museum's decorative arts collection is a testament to craftsmanship and design through the ages.
Contemporary Art: The GCMA continues to embrace contemporary art with rotating exhibitions that feature works by emerging and established artists. This commitment to the modern art scene keeps the museum's offerings fresh and engaging.

262. Kiom da vortoj komenciĝantaj per la litero C vi povas memori en 15 sekundoj sen rigardi ien?
#Mi_estas_ĉi_tie_eterneco
Miaj: Konscienco, sadisto, memo, USSR, ĝardeno, dolĉa, scientologio, familio, konsilo, forta, dormo, salo, sukero, simfonio, rido.
262. How many words starting with the letter S can you remember in 15 seconds without looking anywhere?
#I_am_here_eternity
Mine: Conscience, sadist, self, USSR, garden, sweet, scientology, family, advice, strong, sleep, salt, sugar, symphony, laughter. In Russian they all are from S))))
Midjorney drew this, by request, I just typed all the words into the request. Without sadist, it is a banned word by them ... a neural network with censorship, what could be more disgusting? But even without it, it turned out wildy-weirdo)))

The Peto Gardens at Iford Manor
These classic gardens were designed about 100 years ago in the area surrounding Iford Manor. The architect and designer was a mentor to Lutyens but there is little similarity in their design except a short rill, a feature Lutyens later favoured. It is not a plantsperson’s garden but more one where you can appreciate the hard landscaping and architecture of the various buildings scattered around the site.

Heal House
flickr
Heal House by Richard Walker Via Flickr: Heal House & Garden, Wiltshire near Salisbury, UK . The house is a private residence, but the Gardens are open to the public and well worth the visit. Heale House stands on the site of a C16 manor house, which was replaced by a new house built between 1660 and 1690 for Robert Hyde. This late C17 house forms the south wing of the present house. In the late C18, William Bowles added a north wing, probably destroyed by fire in 1835 (VCH 1962), and improved the grounds. Until 1894 Heale House was occupied by a series of owners and tenants. In that year Sir Edmund Giles Loder sold the property to Louis Greville who restored and enlarged it between 1898 and 1910, with advice from the architect Detmar Blow (1867-1939). From 1906 to 1911, Greville created, with the assistance of Harold Ainsworth Peto, a series of formal gardens, and a Japanese garden influenced by Greville's experience when he was working at the British Embassy in Tokyo at the end of the C19.
