Foxglove was also created by Starline just like Kit and Surge, with the difference that she was based on Amy instead.

She was created with the purpose of being strong enough to curb some of Surge's more self-destructive tendencies + have a high enough emotional awareness so she can be the one to deal and comfort Surge and Kit when necessary (Starline only cares about this part because it was starting to have a negative effect on their test results, and he doesn't even wanna do anything about it himself)

girl i have no clue what is going on with exile tribe i wouldn't even know where to start lmao. i do listen to a few of their units, including psychic fever, but it's mostly ballistik boyz just bc animal is my own personal crack. the occasional jo1 and ini song makes it into my rounds, but i'm mostly a jrock and j...indie? i guess? listener. queen bee and i dont like mondays are two of my mostly listened groups, plus a variety of other artists like taichi mukai, eill, fujii kaze, rung hyang, etc. highly recommend every queen bee song, idlm's black humor and fashion albums, and taichi mukai's the last album. and now im hijacking my own post bc this is now a psa about avu chan's boy group ryugujo!! genuinely fr the only boy group ever actually. highly highly highly recommend literally every song they have and their new ep just dropped last month!

love that i have my own place now but being that the only way for me to get to work when ben isnt home to take me, is that i have to take ubers which are crazy expensive for 1 and for 2 every time ive ever been picked up from home, they take the longest possible fckin route. So even tho my shift starts at 5 ill have to call one at 4 because last time i called one it was a 45 minute drive when it shouldve been max 15 lol. hi hello i watched american psycho for the first time a couple of weeks ago and i didnt really understand the ending at all? u are thee american psycho guy to me so whats ur interpretation of it? (if u wanna answer ofc)

funny answer: bateman realized right at the end of the movie that he was bisexual

real answer: the ending is left ambiguous on purpose; patrick is an unreliable narrator so we can never really know how many people he killed or if he did at all. i'd say the only killing that is really 'confirmed'/is realistic is the homeless guy in the alley. beyond that, the rest of his murders are tinged with dreamlike aspects that make it questionable whether they happened or not—why does nobody in the apartment wake up when christie runs screaming down the hallway? did bateman's lawyer really see allen in london?

bateman is a rich white guy who desperately wants to be Different from all the other rich white guys he knows. he thinks about killing people, he possibly does (again, interpretation there is up to the viewer), but nothing seems to make any sort of difference in how people view him. there's definitely gender + class stuff in how he's able to get away with such things (and in how he starts out going after those in the lower class before moving up when it doesn't have the desired spotlight effect) but that's a whole other multi paragraph post.

i personally think that he did kill many of the sex workers, just maybe not in overly dramatic ways like dropping chainsaws on them. i go back and forth on if he really killed paul allen tbh, i can see it as either a simple revenge fantasy that never actually occurred or everyone thinking so simply of bateman that everyone is falling over themselves to make excuses why it can't be him.

i don't think there's any Right answer, it's fun to consider the possibilities. it all comes back to the final lines of the film, no matter whether bateman did or not, he's trapped in the knowledge that nobody thinks him capable of murder. no one remembers him, no matter how desperately he wants to be known.

Hi, g/t anon here again! I've been reading some of your fics and I was wondering about Tioga's nature and how they came to be in the first place, since the small summary/introduction to Cor Unum mentions they're a fragment of Giratina, but they're also Giratina themselves (if I'm not mistaken)?

I'm gonna read the rest of your fics soon and they might give me the answer I'm looking for, but whether they will or not I hope this ask finds you well and is a good opportunity to discuss your OC :D

FAIR QUESTION okay so. arceus creates giratina. in cor unum world arceus doesn’t IMMEDIATELY banish giratina. they spend some time together first (this is outlined a little bit in the Eucharist chapter of Pater Peccavi). but then arceus does end up banishing giratina to the shattered world.

BUT. a split second before that. giratina fragments a piece of itself off so that it has some connection to the real world. it knows it’s not going to be able to do anything for a long time, especially with such a weak link, but it has to have someone on the other side it can connect to.

hence tioga.

so, basically, tioga is a fragment of giratina — a sliver, really — who doesn’t have any of giratina’s powers or memories and just spends literally 13.8 billion years wandering the world and not knowing why they’re there or what they’re waiting for. and then volo comes along.

volo does the same stuff he does in the game. meets giratina, receives the spooky plate, has his whole “i need to bring arceus down and make it pay for what it’s done to us” thing. the difference is that in cor unum he meets tioga, and neither of them know who tioga is, but volo kind of falls for this weird amnesiac wanderer, and tioga subconsciously knows this is the person they were supposed to meet all this time, but that’s all. so they join up and travel together (with the ginkgo guild) and find companionship in each other.

then. THEN. the events of the game happen. when volo and akari meet at the temple of sinnoh, volo is visited by arceus, who tries to kill him (a la Inimicus Dei). but because volo summoned giratina to the real world just before, giratina and tioga combined (volo doesn’t know this at first). giratina was only able to come to the real world because it had tioga there as a beacon/waystation/what have you. in the game, it’s insinuated volo fed it power to come to the real world, but i always thought that was so vague, i wish they would have shown him being like sick or exhausted all the time because there’s no way one measly human has enough power to bring a god to the real wold, a god that’s been locked in an alternate dimension for 13.8 billion years. just my thoughts. ANYWAY

so tioga and giratina fuse. tioga immediately regains all of giratina’s memories (since they’re the same being) and experiences and feels the crushing loneliness it felt all these years etc etc. saves volo. brings him back to the real world (arceus has him in that weird fucked-up world you face it in in the game proper). has an emotional breakdown because they think volo will find them repulsive now that he knows what they are. the rest of this you can find by reading Inimicus Dei so i won’t spoil it BUT that’s a little rundown of who they are and how they came to be!

tl;dr: giratina split tioga off from itself to maintain a link to the real world to be able to eventually recombine with them and exist in our dimension.

It was early morning, the sun having just crest over the rolling hills and treelines of Ever Seasons. Serena had been there long before the sun had rose, getting things ready for the upcoming day. Her idea for an adoption drive had been well received, and she had advertised the upcoming event on social media the best she could. Some pokemon found their forever home at the sanctuary, content to live out their lives on the sprawling lands, while others craved a permanent companionship with a person. If she could take in all of those lonely pokemon herself, she would, but it simply wasn’t feasible. There were some worries about loosening up their adoption procedures, but with Serena’s ability to feel a bond between a person and a pokemon, surely she would be able to tell right off the bat if they were a good fit for one another.

“I think we’re just about ready!” Serena looks over all of the pokemon, all cleaned up and wearing bowties or ribbons of various colors. Some were visibly excited, while others were a bit more nervous about making a good impression. With a few more words of encouragement, Serena opened the doors of the sanctuary, greeting those waiting with a smile.

I will be using this website to generate a random pokemon for those who leave this post a like. You are more than welcome to either reply to this post, or send me an IM if there’s a specific pokemon you’d like for your muse, or a specific region you want the pokemon to be from (i.e. if you want a pokemon from the Johto region)! If not, it will be totally random, don’t be shy to get specific if that’s what you want!

Obviously no legendaries/mythicals will be included in this, along with no Mega forms of a pokemon. It’s not impossible for your muse to receive a pokemon that can Mega Evolve, however, and Serena would be more than willing to help your muse track down a Mega Stone for it in a future plot. :)

This is incredibly incredibly rare in the zones at this point, but in this case I think the most fitting background for Daryl starts with his family being the type who were never citizens of any Better Living city. The kind who survived the worldwide bombings (took place in the early 70s (current timeline is in the 2030s)) either by luck or preparation of some kind and have just ... persisted at the fringes of the world ever since. Very grounded, rough and tumble prairie-living type of vibe, almost; untamed frontier, and people just... doing their damnedest to carve something livable out of it.

There's such a wide age frame he could fit in that's it hard to completely pin stuff down but:

You could keep his birthday and have him (technically) be an old-world remnant but that's rare on both sides, for many reasons. The world skews young in this setting. (Partly from its general harshness and resource situation, partly because BL/ind believes it pays to keep people ignorant of the past, so those who remember are often killed.) I personally feel it would be more fitting to have him zones-born, the earlier gens of it, which were very small. And then he'd just.. know no world but a harsh one, post-bombs, and just make do. But definitely there's wiggle room.

Depending on what you do with the birthdays though Merle could have been... maybe old enough to remember more of the world before the bombings, right? (..I can't remember the age difference oops) which could definitely contribute to him being. well. how Merle is. which would probably also play out here verrrrrry similar to how it does canon. Lone-wolfing too hard gets you killed in the desert.

[Side note this is such a Siblings Sticking Together (For Better And Worse) Through The Madness setting, they would've be very at home in that sense. Sibling duos everywhere, here. (And lots of people who lost siblings, too.)]

If you don't wanna swing the born-in-the-zones angle, it'd also make sense for him to have come from the far edges of the city, in Neon.

--Which is officially, on paper, called "The Neon District" but in practice everyone -including city officials sometimes- calls it the Neon Slums. (Classism (tragically) did not die in the wars.)

There's lots of illicit trading and negligence going on in Neon. Very easily it could have ended up with them tied up in some kind of organized criminal activity, and dealing, etc. Still rough, just like... big-city rough instead of man vs. nature rough.

From there the step out to zones-sided (although you don't have to go zones-sided, he could just be from Neon, he just... seems like he'd end up out there, one way or another, to me) could come from getting caught up in killjoy activity of some kind, and choosing a side. It could also come from getting into run-of-the-mill trouble with Better Living officials and choosing to run to the desert for no other reason than to escape detainment, etc. There's lot of "killjoys" who are really more after saving their own skins than rebelling per se, so starting out (or just generally being) that way is super common and could lead other directions.

I feel like I am all over the place with this I truly am running in circles with my thoughts but other important note (that have contributed to some of my zone-born thinking here):

mechanic skillset very useful on both sides, but a big big plus both practically and culturally in the zones; cars (etc.) are important for enduring the weather, escaping BL/ind and hitting back

animal skills also very useful; wildlife has gotten Weird after the bombs. knowing how to deal with (and defend yourself from) them is very important, especially in the outer zones

There is. a secret third option where he would have come from near one of the other cities and crossed the dead zone but this is even less likely than anything else I've said. But if you're interested in it it's definitely technically possible. Better Living would be on his ass for it if they got wind of it, though. Can't have people thinking the rest of the country could recover without them...

Edit: I have no clue if anyone is going to see this but oh well. Just wanted to say that the horrors were left vague on purpose so you could insert whatever symptoms you don't like as a part of it. Basically, all this question is is if you wanna be bleeding once a month.

Some people are asking, "why would you want periods?" and I'm very much in the minority but idk I just think it's cool. You could fake a murder for fun, you can do some weird n fucked up painting.. I like the enrichment of thinking I'm a werewolf or some other form of beast for a week, since it's about the same amount of time for the lunar cycle to complete. Some people have said they like having the free pass of "oh no its my period i guess i have to stay at home" like, yeah, periods are the prime time for exploitation. It's free blood you guys, you can easily think of things to use it for if you're creative enough.

Also, in case u are like me and never thought of the idea before, you can put down towels or some other form of dedicated sheet onto your bed before you sleep and bleed through onto that. You can put something down before you sit too. PLEASE have stuff dedicated to ur periods, it'll (mostly) save your sheets and other things from getting dirty, and it can help keep cleaning more manageable.
