My top 5 Bleach women and why I love them: Part 1

(Some of this based on what makes them awesome, or how they're written. Also, this is Part 1 of the entire post, so it'll only show the first 3 characters, due to Tumblr's limit on how many links/media I can use.)

5/5. Ikumi Unagiya \~ Owner of Unagiya Shop

Why?

It’s an unique choice since she doesn’t get that much screen time compared to the others but I really think she’s got a fun personalty and somewhat of a good adult character in a shonen manga that doesn’t have many adults that’ll be there for the MC on an emotional level.

In the Fullbringer arc, she’s one of the only adults in Ichigo’s life who tries to be there for him even with her unawareness of shinigami and hollows. Ikumi still reminds him that he is a kid and he should be able to rely on her, and I think it’s really profound that she says this but Ichigo hasn’t ever really believed in that for most of his life.

Another underrated moment is her getting Ginjo to stop subtly upsetting Ichigo and made him leave her shop. Ginjo wasn’t even a villain at this point but Ikumi still knew the questions he was saying about Ichigo’s dad and his family were screwing with Ichigo’s mind. Maybe I’m giving her too much credit for being a reliable adult for a shonen manga, however it still puts her in my list.

Even in the TYBW arc, she’s still there to be a form of stability to Ichigo who goes through hell before visiting her. Her personality between a dependable, intuitive adult and a stubborn woman who kidnaps teenage employees in broad daylight is what stands out to me as a character.

4/5. Tier Harribel \~ Tres Espada

Why?

Her whole look with the jacket and the hollow mask is honestly pretty cool to see in the series and her serious, calm personality is nice to see among the Espada. Plus her motif as the ‘Espada of Sacrifice’ adds a whole new layer of her concern for her Fraccion, like Nel who was the former 3rd. Her sword release is also dope, “Tiburon”.

In the Arcancar arc, she only gets one main fight (which she got done dirty on) and then gets betrayed by Aizen, but at least I have to appreciate the moments throughout the arc that build her character.

Again, it’s really rare here to see an Arcancar care about their own considering the whole process of Hollows devouring each other from Menos Grande - Adgjunchas - Vasto Lordes. Plus, having the balls to go up to Head-Captain Yamamoto and say you’ll avenge your subordinates is pretty insane.

The series could have used her more outside of the Arcancar arc but in TYBW arc, she was the ruler of Hueco Mundo and saved Nel & friends from Yhwach. However, they forgot about her for the rest of the TYBW arc which I’m hoping the anime will fix, maybe adding a scene. In the timeskip, she’s adjusted to the role of it all and looks OP af, I personally love this look on her.

Appearance-wise, it’s obvious how stunning how she is honestly.

I used to think “Harribel” was her first name but Tier is actually her first name.

3/5. Unohana Retsu \~ Squad 4 Captain and First Kenpachi

Why?

Almost every Bleach fan loves Unohana but besides the obvious mommy vibe she gives, I really appreciate the dual traits she's had. I really love how she’s a healing captain whose committed to the Gotei 13, and how it’s revealed later that she was one of the original Gotei 13 and the First Kenpachi. The way she holds herself from the beginning of her debut to her death, she always been caring to those she healed and worked with but held a intimidating demeanor around her.

Battle is everything - Bleach Vol. 59

Kubo’s character design is something that took me a while to realize there’s certain symbolism in it. Unohana’s mainstream design is much more meaningful when you find out the core of her character and how she started. The braid she puts her hair in resembles chains that Unohana put on herself to hide away her past of immense bloodlust as the First Kenpachi like the scar on her chest.

At the core of her character, fighting is everything to her considering the environment she’s grown in. The Soul Society and Yamamoto has harnessed her strength and killing prowess for the sake of protecting their interests. One of the themes of Bleach is the “The Heart” where many characters and groups have revolved around the belief of what the heart means to them. Unohana’s role in TYBW shows how her heart is centered around fighting and how her sin is the foundation of her persona as the kindhearted, healing Captain of Squad 4.

I always heard criticism about how Unohana got centered around Kenpachi and got killed for Kenpachi’s development, but I point to the overall themes of the story and how shinigami like Unohana who had to fight harshly to survive in the Rukon district. They often centered or associated themselves around another person who brings a feeling, emotion or sensation within them, that drives them to do actions in a story.

Learning healing kido to extend a fight for who knows how long is a pretty unique concept for the whole medical character trope. It’s so riveting to me that even through healing others, Unohana was helping the other shinigami live on for another fight which is something Kenpachi advocated to Ikkaku, besides doing her job. In her final battle, she was doing that not for Kenpachi but for the sake of the Soul Society’s survival. Thus, her heart and purpose might be with Kenpachi now, but she found meaning outside of her original role for centuries, and briefly enjoyed peace from being a fighter of bloodlust until the Wandenreich arrived.

Shadow Into Light (Lena Retrospective): Magica’s Shadow War

Hello all you happy people! And welcome back to Shadow Into Light, my look at the life and times of Lena Sabrewing. We’re in the end stretch, just two more installments after this: one covering what may be my favorite episode, and the other covering Lena’s season 3 appearances, as unlike Seasons 1 and 2 she shows up outside her own episodes fairly often and most of those apperances touch on how far she’s come or her life in some way shape or form, so I really can’t skip over them. 

But before we can get to the end of Lena’s arc, we have to once again go back where she came from. Previously I covered the one and only apperance of Minima DeSpell, a character Lena took some inspiration from. But Lena is a combination of Minima and another Ducktales 87 character but this time one from the show itself, in the same episode we meet Magica no less. Given how much frank loved the original, it’s not a huge shock one of the most vital and intresting new characters from the reboot was partially taken from an episode he probably watched 80 dozen times. So how does the original shadow stack up with her rebooted counterpart? Is the episode any good? And should I watch invincible. The answers to this question are under the cut!

To answer your question on invincible.. Yeah you should. It’s gorgeously animated, has a MASSIVELY talented and diverse cast, and perfectly adapts the original source: Adding in great new stuff and shuffling things around to work better for the pacing of a tv show. And after loosing The Tick to Amazon’s greasy clutches, not to mention Danger and Eggs and Alpha House before that with no formal cancelation so they coudln’t move elsewhere, i’m not taking any chances despite the odds being far more in invincibles favor. Check it out, just mind that it has a shocking amount of gore, if you like superheroes.  Or even if you don’t, it’s pretty much guaranteed to have someone you like doing a voice. 

Enough shilling for an unrelated show though, let’s get to this one. We open with our introduction to the De Spells. Magica is hovering over a caludron with a diabolical new plan to steal Scrooge’s #1 dime. Why? 

Or at least I didn’t. I knew why she wanted the dime itself mind you: The Dime has picked up some powerful emotoinal energy from being around Scrooge all his life as he built his fortune, made his way square and fought Teddy Roosevelt. All that good stuff. So naturally if used in a spell, that spell is going to be massively powerful. I just didn’t know what the spell was.. and now I do.. i’mmm underwhelmed. She wants it to gain the midas touch, i.e. the ablility to turn things she touches into gain, using the dime as a power source for an amulet. 

 Magica, via her potions and spells has the powers to do just about ANYTHING. And her goal is.. make some things into gold. She has a giant volcano laier, whatever resources she needs to go after Scrooge, and in this series at least can buy a haunted house on a whim. She HAS money.. why would she need this. And second... the midas touch is a bad thing. You cant’ USE or enjoy anything because it turns to gold> That was the whole fucking point of the myth. If it removes the weakness than fine.. but again it seems like a lot of effort for something with a short range and heavy possible drawbacks. I tfits her personalty to a point but even then she has better spells. I’m going more with it simply allowing her to supercharge.. is it more simplisti? yes. Does it make more sense than “Give myself a power that can easily be turned back on me by just making me touch myself “ yes, yes it is. 

Meanwhile the boys dick around playing Candid Camera with a new camera Gyro gave them that is no more advanced than your average instant camera. You’d expect this new invention to come in handy against Shadow Magica. And you’d be right. You’d expect the boys to at least suggest hte idea before the climax. You’d be wrong. This big is just.. irrtating. It’s just the boys being dicks to everyone by taking embarssing photos and really adds nothing to the episode of any remote subtsnace.

Conversley Magica continues to be the highlight, as her check in with airport security gets her through as she has no fruit. Ah the days before they throughly scanned us and most tsa jokes were about shoving hands up someone’s ass. Seriously.. why. .why is that a common joke. I’ve never had it done but unless you fully consent to it it’s not fun to get your hand up there but it was an oddly common gag for a long time.I.. really don’t get it. 

She arrives in america and buys a haunted house, to the realtor’s shock but eh it’s a sale. The black mold just makes it more sinister. Magica sicks Shadow Magica on the bin, with an elaborate plan but giving the Shadow one hour to do it because otherwise it will disapate.. given it dosen’t it’s likely more Magica trying to keep her double in line, having ran into trouble earlier with shadow her trying to steal the wallet of what I can only assume to be gus goose. So he was on vacation tha’ts where he was.. from what I don’t know he dosen’t actually do work and the house of mouse hadn’t been established yet. Maybe Gramma Duck just gives him vacation days. 

So the shadow ALMOST gets away with the dime.. but accidnetly knocks over a pedestal and warns Scrooge and the Boys, who manage to chase her off. Scrooge having only one magical nemisis in his Rogues gallery, that we know of, knows who did this and prepares for an attack.  Magica.. berates her doppleganger and while she considers a spell to power her up, decides against it since what would stop the Shadow from betraying her. The shadow agrees.. and locks Magica and Poe in a closet and makes the potion herself, taking on a creepy new form and planning to raise an ARMY of shadows. 

And here... is where the split between Lena and The Shadow is very deefinite. While Frank and Matt kept the shadow and Magica really not getting along and only working together out of necisity on both ends.. the shadow here REALLY is just magica. Just as evil and ambitious, and just as sneaky. The only diffrence between the two is the shadow’s logical weaknesses of being a shadow, i.e. light weakens her and she can only hide in darkness or other shadows, and how they were born. Shadow magica is every bit as evil and devious as the main one. I do get why she stuck in Frank’s brain though: the idea is simple but ingenious, someone’s shadow gaining sentience, and the cool tricks you get with that as she ducks and darts between shadows. It’s really good stuff and frank expertly expanded it with lena, making her basically humanoid duck other than where she came from, but still using the neat tricks with the shadow itself for Magica’s imprisoned form and later the shadow army. It’s a good example of taking a really good idea.. and making it even better, by having said shadow being deal with not being considered a person by the person who spawned her and really ramping up the idea of a shadow army, which Shadow Magica eventually summons, from about ten guys to an entire cities worth. The shadows also you know come from people instead of just thin air but semantics. Point is it’s a very good concept and done really well esepcially for the 87 cartoon, and while Frank’s take was unique and very well done, it dosen’t make the original any less good. 

And it’s shown off with a cool sequence of the shadow infiltrating the manor and nearly getting to the dime with Scrooge having rigged the place to all hell with lights as a percaution. It nearly wins but louie uses a shadow puppet to scare it off. While Scrooge ponders this latest attack Poe shows up, and offers Magica’s help.. but Scrooge rightly dosen’t want it, as he can’t trust her and only agrees when the boys bring up the power bill from keeping the lights on. 

Now getting Magica on board is not an idea: The shadow’s a threat to both of them and they need each other. The next part though.. is a bit stupid and drags the episode down a bit. Magica asks for the dime to beat the thing. Now Scrooge wisely is hesitant to do so.. but everyone else treats it like his usual greedy antics. Thing is.. it’s not. We don’t, at least in this adaptation, know what Magica wants with the thing or the full extent of what she can do with it or if she even actually needs it. While getting her help is one thing, giving her the DIME well...] ]’ii98[[

Why would you give someone you KNOW wants to use the dime to conquer the world or whatever the thing she wants? It’d be like handing Thanos the Infnity Gauntlet to take out Galactus. Yes, your handling a big problem.. but your burning the world to do it. It’s just so frustratlingly dumb. There’s a good idea in there, Scrooge being forced to lend Magica the dime, but it’s buried under Mt. Contrivance! 

So Scrooge reluctantly goes along with operation:seemed like a good idea at the time, and cleverly puts the dime in an empty stadium. Unfortuantley the lights malfunction and Shadow Magica summons MORE Shadows, and now has an army. Launchpad ends up being helpful, also he’s in this episode for some reason, by pointing out shadows need light.. and thus another logical weakness as killing the rest of the lights renders them weak and allows our heroes to lure them to the vault where Magica waits> Magica is able to weaken it with the spell.. but even with that the Shadow SITLL is too powerful.. 

Enter the cameras, which take out Shadow Magica, saving the day. We get a lesson about trusting Gyro’s gadgets for.. some reason and Scrooge stops Magica from fleeing with the dime with a shadow puppet. Smiles and cheese sandwitches all around

Final Thoughts on Magica’s Shadow War: This episode is not half bad. While the Dime Thing is mindblowingly moronic, and the camera thing is REALLY poorly set up, I have not had a more apt use for that Scott Pilgrim Panel yet, the sheer concept and June Foray’s sheer force of personality as both magica’s makes it work. It’s a fun, engaging adventure and a solid chonk of classic ducktales. As for how it relates to Lena it does so decently. But with this our side trips are at an end. Only two episodes left! And then onward to the lilo and stitch crossover arc! Yes really. Kev wanted a buffer before getting to the Season 2 arcs and I loved tha tshow as a kid so why the fuck not. 

Next Time on Shadow Into Light: Lena gets welcomed to prime time bitch as Magica pulls a freddy and stalks her through her dreams. Sadly she did indeed forgot about the power glove. Can the rest of the kids break away from dreams of high school musicals, becoming a garfild, giant legs and libraries long enough to save Lena? Will we have a very queer in the best way possible musical number about Lena and Webby’s anniversary? Will I talk about Huelet? In order, yes, yes, and probably. But join me anyways won’t you.

You got a base, now work out the details. It's a robot, right? What's it made of? How it's powered? Can it express themself, if yes, how? Is it more robotlike, personalitywise? Or perhaps more humane? Wears clothes? Made by a company, some dude in private garage? A different robot? Relationship with creator? Where do they live? How does that affect how they look? Try coming up with your own questions and figure out how they affect the appearance and personality of your creation

im thinking of making him of been made by a shitty dad scientist... his face is blank and he emotes via pixels like on a computer.. and untill he mentally turned into an adult, he had never really been outside. thus, getting a special interest for plants and animals the very first time he saw them. (hes an autistic robot)

creator would be dead because he was building the robot to try and put his brain into it, thus, making the robot technechally a cyborg. but it pulls a steven universe and has the robot be his own person (yeah yeah i know, his backstory is definately still in the first drafts) but hw also doesnt. beleive he is a real person with human emotions. he thinks that he is not a real person essentially and that hes just an AI. and he is very iffy on his own feelings and such. hess more robot-like personalty wise (ie: "excuse me, i my programming is not authorized to do this, but i will try something else for you :)") he sounds like paddington bear and can get exeited at times!

hes suppose to be a character for dnd... maybe a cleric or a druid?

Fruits Basket 2019 ( ep,13)

The Three Musketeers: This is an initial look into the three BFF adult trio. So far it is clear that each has good qualities & personalty flaws.

1. Hatori: The easiest to analyze. I talked enough about him. but to summarize. He is calm, polite, cool, quiet, very kind and a sensible man. However, he is very passive, lacks initiative, and has submitted to his role in the family. Akito’s doctor & a bystander to Akito’s abuse. Hatori’s aware of his flaws, regrets his actions, deeply hate his weakness & passive stance, however, chooses to weakly go with the flow. Hatiori is the most traumatized within the trio & the most controlled by Akito. He carries deep scars, denies himself happiness & chooses to stand still where he is.

2- Shigure: very fun, seems happy, enjoys teasing youngsters, a perverted man, appears to enjoy life, a writer with popular novels, very perceptive, can provide wise advice & insights to the teenagers. However, Shigure is the one who analyzed himself to the audience. He admitted to be cunning, self-centered, seeks his own goal despite the harm of others, Is very aware of his actions, but do not regret them & would do them over if it helps his goal. He is very enigmatic. He is the character that most writers use to move the plot. It remains to be seen if Shigure has suffered trauma at Akito’s hand. He doesn’t seem to be affected that way to me.

3- Ayame: loves himself deeply, with doses of arrogance, & conceit. a perverted man, Not sensitive to others’ feelings. Does not comprehend how demeaning his words are to others. Most his actions revolve around himself & what he wants. However, unlike Shigure or Hatori, he regrets his past & actually takes initiative to fix his relationship with his brother. He reflected upon his treatment & his neglect of offering help or support to his brother. He admits to only thinking about himself in the past & is struggling to mend his ways with his brother. similar to Shigure, I don’t see Ayame suffering abuse, but we’ll see.

All the three characters are written with balance. with as many flaws as their are merits to their characters. All their flaws are realistic & understandable. none of them is a hero but no one is the devil. All three of them aware that they are enablers in the sohma family system. None of them has stepped to stop the abuse. Even Ayame, who came to check on his brother after Akito’s school visit, didn’t mention anything about stopping Akito or putting an end to it. I find this aspect fascinating. While others might hate this aspect, I see it as a realistic depiction of how abuse get carried for years within families. Most families know when a member or two are abused, while they feel for the abused, mostly..they do nothing. There is a helplessness feel that exceeds the abused & involve the bystanders. That’s how the abuse cycle go on. It is not easy to break, but it is not impossible either.

Can't Help Falling In Love

Chapter 1

The darkness is the hallway.

It was endless.

Henry looked at the flashlight The Lost Ones' gave him. He stroked his light Chestnut brown hair. He was walking inside the darkbess for a while now. He really wanted to see a light or a door at least. But there was nothing. All he could see with the flashlight was a few posters on the walls and some ink puddles. Nothing handy. He pointed the flashlight to the wall on his left.

Just a little Alice poster.

"Sent From Above, with Alice Angel..."

Henry read the poster with a quiet voice. He wasn't feeling paranoia or anything.

He was just a little horrified becouse of the Angels' warnings.

Allison and Susie, they both were very prepared when It comes the Ink Demon. They were always giving Henry advices about hiding from him.

Henry stopped walking for a second.

He looked at the darkness without the flashlight. He was a little scared now.

He actually didn't had a phobia about darkness, it was just Angels' warnings that gave him a little horror.

"Beware the Ink Demon. They say, he always attacks in the dark..."

The dark word made Henry get his mind back together. He grabbed the flashlight back and contioned walking for a while.

The hallway was deathly quiet. The only sounds were Henry's footsteps and the Flashlight's weak creaks. But then, another voice suddely showed up.

But that was not screaming or whining like Henry was expecting.

Some footsteps and whistles.

Henry suddenly stopped walking to listen the whistles.

A part of him was saying he needed to run and escape from the footsteps' owner.

But another part if him was saying just wait and listen.

He decided to listen the whistles. He tried to calm himself down with thinking it's just a Lost One.

"Wise man says only fools rush in..."

The owner of the footsteps started singing with a gentle voice. His voice was going straight to Henry's head. His voice was a little sonorous.

And...Weirdly...Calming?

Henry couldn't tell why. But his voice calmed him down fir a little bit. It reminded him almost his voice...

"Joey?!"

Henry shut his mouth with his hands. He was very worried from his voice. He wasn't expecting his voice to sound that loud.

Joey didn't seemed to mind, he just chuckled a little bit and contioned singing the song.

"But I can't help falling in love with you...

Shall I stay?"

"Would it be a sin?"

Henry couldn't help but whistled the songs next part with him. He knew that song. İt was one of his favorite songs back then.

"İf I can't help falling in love with you?"

His voice was coming closer and closer. Henry wanted to look back to see if he's there. But he couldn't. He wanted to look, but his body wasn't moving.

He thought it was becouse of the horror creeping around.

"Like a river flows surely to the sea.

Darling so it goes."

His voice was even closer now. Almost like he was just a few steps away from him.

Henry just waited. Waited for him to come even closer.

"Some things are meant to be...

Take my hand, take my whole life too."

With these words, Henry felt two, deathly cold arms wrapping around his waist.

He gently yelped as he suddenly felt the coldness, but then he relaxed.

He slowly closed his eyes, letting the flashlight fall to the ground. Joey didn't catch the flashlight either. He just contioned singing the song.

"For I can't help falling in love with you..."

He looked at Henry, he was almost asleep.

"God, he must be so tired..."

"For I can't help falling in love with you."

He finished the song and sighed.

"Just like the old times."

And then Henry fall asleep. Joey started to carry him bridal style and walked throught the hallway. The darkness didn't bothered him. He just walked throught the hallway, getting lost in his own thoughts while walking.

Hearing your own voice in your head, this can count as normal.

Untill it starts to get out of the hand.

This was the thing Joey was living.

"Can you even call yourself 'Joey Drew'?

We both know you're not truly me you're just a basic, 'stonger' copy."

"Whines of the 'Awaken man'..."

He whispered quietly and contioned walking without making any other sound.

"I don't understand...Where could he be?!"

The Twisted Angel named Alice yelled with anger. Her long, inky, black hair was covering the half of her face. Her halo was broken, but it was still shining with a golden color. Her long dress was melting by the end. Her horns were broken. She had long black gloves and a bowtie on her dress.

She looked at the human-like wolf named Tom standing a few steps away from her.

He was wearing a yellowish brown shirt and a black overall. He also had a mechanic arm. He was looking at the Angel with a serious face. He was holding a axe and a Bacon Soup can.

Alice and Tom looked at the Safe House's door when they heard someone coming in.

It was another Angel. She had shorter ponytail hair, shorter black and brown dress and a rope. She didn't had a halo, she only had two, small horns.

"Allison!"

Alice let out a shout and walked near to her. Allison smiled a little bit and stepped inside the safe house.

"You got any news?"

"Or any information?"

Tom and Alice asked to her. She shooked her head and looked at the two.

"No...I don't have any news."

"Did you tried to talk to Lost Ones?"

"Yes, I did. They said they didn't see Henry around for a while."

"That's not good."

Tom walked closer to the both woman. He put the Bacon Soup can on the table and crossed his arms.

Tom took a few minutes of thinking while the Angels were telling each other their ideas about where he could be.

Tom decided to tell them the possibility, hoping they won't overreach.

"Or what if...He's ready taken by the İnk Demon?"

Tom stared directly at the Angels to see their reacts.

They seemed suprised, but just a little bit.

Alice stared Allison for a few seconds, then she decided to break the silence.

Joey said as he stepped inside his office. He looked inside the office.

"A little dusty...And İnky...But it's still my office."

He walked to the black sofa near his desk before sitting on his desk. He gently placed Henry on the sofa. He softly moaned and leaned into Joey's arms. Joey chuckled and decided to sit near Henry. He sat on the sofa and drew Henry on his lap. He rested back and started to play with Henry's hair.

"It's been a long time since I touched you like that..."

He kept stroking his Light Chestnut Brown hair. It was quite messy and a little inky, but the color was still very visible.

Unlike Joey, Henry never aged much. İn 30 years, Joey's orange hair already had white spots on his hair.

The difference wasn't just growing older tho. Henry's personalty changed a lot.

When the Studio was still running pretty well, Henry was very kind.

"Maybe too kind?"

He was getting along well with everyone. He liked helping people when he wasn't working on animations.

He helped Joey with writing checks for so many times.

His appearance was differend too. He was much more slim. His clothes were always a little big for him, but it wasn't a big deal.

Now, he had a more masculine body.

"However. Funny part; he's still shorter then me."

And his personalty; Well...It was a little hard to explain. Like, he was colder to people now. His helping attidute was gone. And he was more...Wild?

However, Joey never mind that too much. Actually, he liked Henry's this version more then the young one. He just liked how he seemed like he wouldn't mind if he needs to shed someone's blood.

He didn't knew what changed Henry too much in 30 years, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to know too.

The only thing he know was Henry was here.

Something else didn't bothered him.

He just contioned playing with Henry's hair, listening his gentle voice, moaning softly.

Interesting question and I thank you for asking me this.

The villains in general are hit or miss for me. Some of them have really cool designs and interesting personalities while others come off as bland, forgettable or not used to their full potential. It also doesn’t help that most of them are practically forgotten once they’re defeated. If they were more developed like the villains on Miraculous Ladybug, then you’d be seeing alot more entries in the Villains section for TvTropes. But since you asked me for the ones that appeared in the season 3 intro, I’ll gladly explain my thoughts for each of them. 

(Answering each of them in Clock-wise format)

TP Mummy: I’m pretty indifferent towards this monster. While her design is simple, I do like how she uses her TP powers. Plus the design works since she is essentially a toilet paper mummy. But I feel that her motivation to take over the world by stealing all the toilet paper feels OOC considering that Yewh never really had any ego maniacal personality traits. 

DJ Drowsy Drawers: I personally love this villain. Her design is really creative and stands out since she’s essentially a DJ themed cyborg. Her sleep powers are also deadly along with her ability to shoot playing records. The writers were aware of her music theme and they went all out with her abilities. Her motivation was a little weak but it’s more solid since Herd’s prime goal was to make the dances be as boring and lifeless as possible. So I like her.

Socktopus: I find him pretty cool. It especially helps that he’s voiced by the John DiMaggio and I’m a huge fan of his work. You can really tell that he was giving it his standard tone of voice when voicing the Sock and I enjoyed that. His size and tentacle attack make him really effective as a monster. The only downsides would be his motivations and his take over the world plot. I feel it would have been beneficial to have him showing us how he can control other socks that aren’t his own so his threat can be taken more seriously. And while he does get character depth by saying that he only wanted dirty socks to be more loved, it feels shoehorned since he never showed any display of this during his screentime. If this was shown more then he could have been a more compelling monster. Apart from these factors, I still like him.

Tubbadump: I don’t like him as much. He comes off as a fairly generic monster that doesn’t leave a strong impression after his performance. And apart from his Godfather-esque personalty, he doesn’t really shine as much. Not to mention that he doesn’t have any creative or unique powers apart from moving trash. 

Queen of the Zombees: I actually liked Ribble as the Zombee Queen. Mainly because her design was cool and how effective she was as a ruler. My only gripes with her is that we don’t really see Ribble’s personality shine through as the Queen. It’s like you could swap her out with any faculty member, zap them a few times with the bee invention, have them go mad with power and nothing would change. So it feels like a loss that Ribble doesn’t show her personality when she’s akumatized her. It also doesn’t help that she’s really lacking in the personality department compared to her colleagues.

Flabby Flabulous: He’s okay for me. Not exactly a personal fave but he works for me as a starter villain in the show. Not only does he work as an introduction to the zaniness of the CU cartoon but he represents the wild and inappropriate imagination two children can come up with when it comes to making characters. A guy with a giant butt is definitely something a child would think of for kicks and giggles. 

The Splotch: Another favorite of mine. Along with being an Expy of Venom, he has a very charming and friendly personality when he interacted with the boys. He has a nice gentleman vibe while also being completely dangerous with his ability to control all the robes in Piqua. I also love that his character is meant to be a shadow counterpart to Captain Underpants and their fight was super entertaining. Even if perfectly symmetrical violence did solve anything, it was still fun to watch. I can only hope that he’ll find a way to escape his imprisonment and make an appearance in the next season(s). I’m still holding out hope that next season will focus on aliens!

Bigfoot: I don’t understand why he’s here in this shot. He’s not a villain and he’s actually a Wonderful Samaritan.

Avocadwoe: I have mixed feelings for this Akuma. On one hand, I love how effectively dangerous he was in attacking the heroes and reducing Piqua to ruins. I especially like how so much destruction and rampage came from the (formerly) timid and soft spoken Fyde. It really symbolizes how even the most gentle or harmless of people can unleash so much rage and fury. On the other hand, I kinda don’t like how this was what Fyde’s monster form turned out to be. When you compare him to the other faculty members and their villain/monster forms (Ribble as Wedgie Woman, Meaner as Flabby, Anthrope as Clogneta) it feels underwhelming that Fyde ended up with a plant seed theme. It doesn’t come off as very flashy or cool, especially if that may be his only akumatization. So again, Avocadwoe is a mixed bag for me.

Ratrick the Poopacabra: He’s not a personal fave but I do have a soft spot for him. Mainly because of how much character depth Ratrick has for feeling depressed along with frustration over not having his message heard. It only makes sense that he would lash out in anger and despair. And while I’m glad that he found comfort with Chupacabra, it is a little sad that we don’t know what became of him after his debut.

Altitooth: I don’t really like this youma either. Just like with Tubbadump, he comes off as rather forgettable since he was just a random guy who ended up becoming a monster and started terrorizing everyone. While that’s pretty much the norm for most of these villains, he doesn’t have an impressionable personality or do anything significant. He’s generic to me. But I do like his ice powers.

Barfalisk: This one is okay with me. Mainly because of its hyper aggressive personality and how it’s able to make people barf rainbows. But just like with Altitooth, it doesn’t leave a very memorable performance as a youma. Also I’m very curious to know how there are real barfalisks in the CU universe despite being created by the boys and how Erica was able to find one with no explanation. Really hoping they mention this in season 4.

Fur-cules: Another dud for me. I get that he’s a guardian of a secret fountain but his overall design, powers and personality aren’t that memorable or worthwhile. Plus he turns out to be a pretty good guy after his fight with CU and is eventually forgotten once the group leaves Ecuador.

Teachertron: In theory, the robot would make for a pretty great villain or even a tool for the Melvins. He has a sleek design and would be a formidable threat. But in the end, he’s not even a genuine villain or an Akuma. It’s just as an obstacle created for the Wonder Nerd duo to defeat the heroes. Plus it’s not like Melvin ever brings him back to terrorize the boys or CU. Though how Grace Wain forbade him from using these types of inventions, it’s fairly understandable.

Messica Gorgon: I actually like this Akuma. Messica works as a perfect opposite for the well kept and carefree Jessica as the Vimpire is a total mess and lashes out at everyone so they can be as miserable as her. Draining her victims of their joy and turning them into moping messes is a pretty creative power. Though it would be nice if she had another power to support her. Like maybe making huge hairballs of garbage to throw at CU and trap him. Apart from that, I really like her.

Finn and Kylo have 4 kids

The twins Ayla and Davos resemble  Finn mostly however both have more of Kylo’s personality. Davos being Kylo’s softer side and Ayla got...well everything else that makes up Kylo. She’s gonna however throw her dad by time she’s 18 watch.. 

Jet, looks more like Kylo but has all of Finn’s personalty even more maturer in fact. Ayla teases him the most 

anf finally the baby K’ylnn ( amazing name I know) she’s got perfect blend of Kylo and Finn. Both appearance and personality wise. However Ayla has a bigger influence on her than her brothers.

Theyall aged during the 5 year curse, during that time they were split up anddidn't know they were related or that they had a little sister, Emma, who wasin the care system. This verse is set 2 years after the curse broke.

 Name: Astrid Charming (20)

Gender: Female

General Appearance: She takes after Ruby and Snow in looks (true love magic), she typically wears kinda soft punk style clothes. She rarely wears colourful clothing the only time she’s likely to wear colourful things is on Pride. She has a tattoo on her hip and later gets a couple more.

Personality: She has looks which could kill but despite her prickly exterior she is actually really soft around those she loves. She always sticks up for the underdog and wasn't afraid to get into scraps at school in order to stick up for people who need it. 

Special Talents: She has some magic and can turn into a wolf like her mother, but she prefers science to magic any day.

Who they like better: Because her and her mama (Ruby) were together during the curse and were constantly arguing there was a slight strain on their relationship. Because of this they try to make up for that. She’ll often stay with her Mor (Anna, who’s name is the Norwegian word for mother) drinking coffee and working on college work in the chocolate shop and cafe. 

Who they take after more: She’s got Kristoff’s and David’s sarcastic remarks along with Snow’s bandit rebel personality.  

Personal Head canon: -She was named after Anna’s mother. -She lived with Ruby under the curse.-She studies astrophysics at M.I.T, she started shortly after the curse broke and had to be convinced by her parents to go still as it’s what she loves. Because she’s separated from her family often she’ll drive up to the town when she has time off from college. -She’s top of her class.-She’s a lesbian.

Personality: He’s not super happy like his little brother but he’s definitely the calmest of all of his siblings, he is rather quiet which is

Who they take after more: Snow in looks, David and Ruby in his relaxed and carefree personalty. 

Personal Head canon:-Because of his affinity with water he quickly took to swimming and all other forms of water sports, although none of his parents would never stop him from doing what he loved Anna was understandably nervous about him going boating after how her parents died.-He’s in his first year at Yale University studying literature, the hardest thing he had to do (besides leaving his family)  was packing which of his books to take.-He and Astrid often drive to meet up with each other as their schools are only a couple of hours away, sometimes he’ll drive to M.I.T to meet up with his sister before they drive up to Storybrooke.-He lived with his mom (Mary Margaret) under the curse.-He always knew that he was gay and went on his first date at the age of 15.

Personality: He’s the bubbliest of all of the Charmings (bar perhaps Anna), he’s kind beyond belief though could act a bit selfish during the curse. He’s fun loving and positive, he tends to bundle up his anger until it erupts.

Special Talents: Like the rest of his siblings he has magic, he mostly uses it for food, he’s also starting to begin being able to turn into a wolf. 

Who they like better: He doesn’t necessarily like any of them better, but he’s a teenager and Ruby is the one who embarrasses him least.

Who they take after more: He’s a lot like Anna personality wise, he’s a lot like Neal just lot louder and a complete extrovert.

-Only Kristoff and Anna were together during the curse, he lived with them, but he was certain that something was missing.-He’s not yet turned into a wolf but he started to exhibited signs such as becoming cranky before and exhausted after the full moon which makes Ruby think that he’ll turn soon.-He has anxiety attacks which Anna helped him with, having seen similar things with her sister, she taught her spouses how to help. He went on to helping Emma with hers. -He’s very popular at school and will go on to be prom king.-He’s not a genius like his older siblings but he’s very good at football and other sports.

Name:  Emma Swan (7)

Gender: Female

General Appearance: She has light blonde hair which curls when it gets wet, she has green eyes like Snow and Ruby, and a smile she gets from David. She wears tom-boy clothing and would rather die than wearing a dress. 

Personality: She’s a mix of young for her age and old for her age due to the abusive foster families she was ‘looked after’ by. She’s slowly becoming less guarded, around her family at least, she gets her snark from her fathers. She’s hyper because of her ADHD. 

Special Talents: She has magic but it’s very much tied to her moods, it often makes messes of things but she’s learning to control it, she thinks it makes her a kind of superhero which all of her family encourage as it helps her confidence. 

Who they like better: She was fostered by David for a year during the curse so she trusts him most when she’s had nightmares about her past, or something bad happens, but she gets along with all of her parents and siblings.

Who they take after more: Her parents joke that she’s pretty much a carbon copy of David, she is normally chill like he is, and when she gets frustrated she get angry at herself not others, just like David.

Personal Head canon:-She was fostered by David under the curse when she was 4 to 5.-She spent time with all of the parents and siblings under the curse though none of them knew it, she broke the curse when David was poisoned, and she kissed his cheek in the hospital saving him and breaking the curse.-She has ADHD and Dyslexia. She’s self conscious about this but Neal started to read to her Percy Jackson books where the characters have these things.-She’s the only one of her siblings who is the biological child of all five of her parents, due to being the saviour, though she’s not treated any differently by her parents.-David started to homeschool her after they were constantly called into the school about Emma’s problems related to her ADHD and Dyslexia.

Thank you! Ah I don’t think I can help you with that … whether someone is good looking or not is mainly based off ones own personal preferences and taste. I can’t really give you advice on ‘how to make a character look good’ ahah… If you have difficulties choosing colors yourself in general, maybe try using (get inspired by) specific color palettes/schemes. There are a lot of websites that provide cool color schemes!When I make characters I always have some kind of concept in my mind, with that as a guide I start choosing one/two color/s and then try to find a scheme based of that. Like ‘Oh, I want him to have blonde hair! Violet eyes would look pretty with blonde hair, bla bla etc.’ That’s how I usually start. Or just experiment and try out a bunch of different color combos until you find something that you like and think would fit your char! Characters always have a personalty, their appearance are influenced by that too!I wish you success in finding some pretty colors for your character!
