anyway THANKS SO MUCH. here i was bitching and moaning to my friends that that piece didn't turn out as well as i would've liked. can think of 2 or 3 fics off the top of my head that i love way more. but i'm so glad you liked it <333

and sad to say i am, in fact, not writing more for them <\3 i feel like i've said everything i can say about them? i mean they have like 10 lines total together how much more could i possibly extrapolate sdkjflhsf. i'm not a huge au writer tbh i pretty much only like working within canon. but you'll be happy to know i do plan on writing another death note fic (an au one though, surprisingly). just not for meronia. not telling which pairing but. near is in it trust. obvi it'll have meronia subtext.

and thank you thank you for the compliment about the details even though >.< i thought i didn't put in nearly enough. literally read that semi-canon side story in its entirety and only put in 2 things from it. and one of the things i straight up plagiarized <3 but we're gonna say i just referenced it.

i think i mostly just wanted to focus on how like childish yet mysterious they were. imagine you're kira, a functional god, and these 2 kids are running around without your knowledge trying to thwart you. you don't know what they look like, what they know about you, what they are to each other, what their names are, etc. etc. (they also represent the two halves of your would-be lover but we're not gonna go there). at the end of the day, they don't even care that much about YOU, a god (because they already had their own and well. you killed him)!! i guess i wanted to further emphasize that the stakes (for catching/stopping kira), for near & mello, weren't that high. at least,, not as high as beating each other (SO romantic). it was as if it were, as i referenced, just a game to them!! but a game sort of rigged against them, favoring the wammy industrial complex ofc. (the house always wins wink wink). but also,, it's all very tragic in the sense that they really have no other way to look at things. just child soldier things yknow.

idk there was some insane untapped story-telling potential there in the canon. the set-up sort of gave near & mello their own godhood statuses and stripped kira of his own. if i were to rewrite part 2 of death note i'd either keep it all strictly in light's pov or keep it all strictly in theirs. it did a disservice to the story/characters, imo, by attempting to keep the same dynamic/pov going from part 1. i'm not gonna lie and say the 2nd part was as good as the 1st sorryyy. because they were somewhat misutilized i never even considered the (incestuous) implications until someone ;) started posting about them ofc. then i thought about how much their dynamic reflected my personal favorite pairing of all time (knowers know) so i kind of took some preconceived notions and applied them. actually i was originally writing fic for afore-not-mentioned pairing and i'm pretty sure i just used lines from that to get started lmao.

anyway that's all i got atm. if i think of more i wanna talk about i'll write more <3 thx again for the ask!! feel free to ask more ofc ;3

Okay general question for Ninjago fans but what are your favourite and least favourite seasons and why???

I’ll start: Master of the Mountain is my favourite, just because I liked all the episodes showcasing the ninja’s individual dynamics (Cole and Wu, Nya Jay and Lloyd, Zane and Kai) and tbh I feel like a lot of characters got a little moment of fame despite it being titularly Cole centric. It gave us backstory to Cole’s mother which was great, the scenes with her in, I found rlly emotional but maybe that’s because I’m very fixated on Ninjago rn idk. I though the jokes were really funny, idk I remember years ago screenshotting some dialogue to show my friend so that was fun. I really like Vania, her personality is great, she’s silly but also admirable like she really went “of course I wanna go on a ninja adventure in the middle of the night”. Like she really just dives headfirst into the action. I liked the other characters too, although if I had to critique it, vangelis didn’t have that much of a personality and his villain motivation could have been developed more. I enjoyed the animation, the animation recently has been rlly good! Overall standard season, but like I think jokes and family dynamics are what I enjoy most so while I get it’s not the most heart wrenching or lore heavy, and it’s kinda filler, it’s still probably my favourite.

Least favourite season might just be season 7 just because idk I think it had a lot of potential that didn’t get carried through. Krux and Acronix are basically time wizards and time wizards are supposed to be cool. I did find their dynamic funny so I’ll give them that, but they’re motivation is rlly boring and under developed. They’re just like “we should rule Ninjago because we have time powers” like bruh you don’t see Karlof decide to villain arc his way into becoming king of metalonia just because he’s got metal hands? They could’ve at least expanded on what time dictatorship would’ve looked like but instead the stakes are… no more technology? Even though that was mostly played off as a joke? And Acronix actually liked technology. And ig Ray and Maya were here which was cool but yknow I feel like the plot was a little uninspired somehow. Also like the parents only really act as leverage, not really as characters yknow and I kinda wish we saw more bonding and dynamics before Ray got hit by the time blade. The samurai X plot was interesting, it was a nice call back. People really don’t like the reuse of snakes but I don’t mind it honestly. This season was supposed to be a call back and the serpentine are rlly interesting in my opinion. The vermillion warriors were creepy and I liked the dynamic between the generals (although I’m pretty sure machia is supposed to reference a… well it it flew over your head maybe that’s a good thing, I’m not sure I should really discuss it). I think the time blade fetch quest wasn’t that interesting idk. My main crit is that the parent plotline and the time twins motives were kinda uninteresting. The temporal whip is cool.

But those are my opinions! I wanna know what other people think (this is kinda research since I’m doing Ninjago season rewrites)

Favourite thing about them:

His fucking CHAPTER oguhgguughggugh i could talk about him and his experiences for HOURS OGUGHGUGUH. Hi. I am NOT normal about him. Tho genuine, less vague answer is probably just. Like. His personality? Like he is SUCH a good dad and i just wanna see him and Weasel Kid bond post-game yknow??? But also like. His entire life is the wastes, people wanting to kill him and his son around every corner, yet he still tries and avoid violence whenever possible?? I dont know if it's more of a genuine pacifist thing or if he doesnt want his son to experience all this death, but like. I kinda wanna lean towards the second option considering how quickly he resorted to killing and shooting on sight when Rocky wasnt there. And I know thats mainly bc of trauma and determination to get to his kid but. I mean. Shooting Jeremiah in the chest was NOT necessary. Anyways also hes silly and goofy and I love him <3

Least favourite thing about him:

Maybe not about HIM specifically but like. I wish the mind control serum was explored more?? Like it kinda feels like a useless plot. Yes it triggered Carla's hardcore mod, but unless she or Sado were in contact with Reggie and Jeremiah somehow, then that mod could've just...been triggered differently. And like. It's mostly Sado's actions that drive him to that brink of insanity. I cant remember if Jeremiah told him to go to the inn, but the ONLY reason i can see the MC Serum being important is just to get him to the inn. other than that. He joins in on the ritual because he thinks it'll get Rocky back. He's already a player character, he doesnt NEED to be controlled by the player. And also I think the potential of him being the dead body up during Junior's lil assistance section of VG2 is unexplored

Favourite Line:

Not even the full line, but. Mayhap. I quote it all the time. (Full line is something like "Can't fit in there. Someone smaller, mayhap" idk I'm not pulling up the game to find it) Mayhap mayhap mayhap. Hes so silly I love him <3333

Again, I think he and Weasel Kid should have a father-son dynamic, as seen in one of my fics. They both lost what the other is, and I just mmmmm!!!!

Obviously The Hex has like 10 fans, and the number of Rust ships is. Low. But I'm just gonna say the obvious notps; Weasel Kid, Sado, or Rocky. Thank fucking god this fandom is small because weirdos would use Lionel's voice line about never figuring out Rust and Rockys exact bond as an excuse for proshitting. So. Yay small fandom moment <3

Random Headcanon:

I dont know how random BUT while in the Wastes, he's fairly thin and doesn't eat much, only eating up to half of their food rations, often less, saving the rest for Rocky. But he had slight muscle to make up for it, because I'm sure carrying around supplies and a bigass shot gun all day every day + walking all day every day at least builds up SOME muscle. Once he gets to the inn, however, he loses his gun and doesn't walk around too much. After all, the inn is MUCH smaller than the wastes. So, he ends up losing muscle. Not to mention he's probably eating less (especially after the possibility of fully coming to terms with what happened to his son), so. He grows thinner. Though he DOES go down a road of recovery (probably with Bryce's help tbh, knowing how Bryce is) and ends up regaining some body fat! He eventually gets healthy enough that he slowly develops a bit of a dad bod :-) I wanted to draw out this hc but couldn't get the anatomy to look right so I forgot about it, but I am VERY happy I get to ramble about it now <3

Unpopular Opinion:

There are like 2 or 3 other people who talk about Rust enough for ANY sort of 'popular' opinion to form. So. That sucks. Does him being the skeleton in the GameWorks base count? Can I say he's smart just not conventionally smart? Like he can hotwire a car and picked up some German thanks to a certain nuclear sandworm and can aim with perfect accuracy despite having poor vision, but he can't read or do math or write or-

Now the interesting part. Puffy is more than just the head of the royal guard! She has input! I did not see that coming! But it’s actually so smart, because you wouldn’t expect it. And she has control of the guards, so she probably gets info about the princes from Jack. It also makes sense because she was the one answering outer planet communications.

Which brings us to the secret meeting. And it makes sense that they would have meetings without them. Cuz they need to get on the same page. But we learn so much in the one conversation. I’m gonna focus on the dialogue but I might go through the character dynamics at some point if I feel like it, cuz there’s a lot there too.

The other rulers are already incredibly protective of Wilbur and Tommy. Given the fact that they’ve known these kids for less than a day, I can only assume this feeling is slowly clawing its way into Phil and Techno. Combine that with the extra details learned about their escape, which startled everyone, and another clear “they are under OUR protection”. They are protective. And they have plans...

I love that Phil 1 recognises Wilbur’s potential. 2 recognises it would be wasted on Eldingvegr because they don’t care about him, which he knows because 3 he realises that being a bastard is a sore subject and it has definitely been rubbed in even if he doesn’t know the extend. 4 he wants to do something with that potential. He’ll doesn”t want to let it go to waste so he has to find a way to use it himself. Current theory is the he’ll use Wilbur as an heir, but I’m still mostly writing that off because Phil has a longer life span and I haven’t done the math, but I think he’s likely to outlive Wilbur, so maybe he has another position in mind.

Either way, I think that Phil isn’t sending either of the princes back.they are separating their decision on Eldingvegr form the princes. Which means their negotiations with the princes have no impact on the decision. So all they have really been good for is showing their potential. It’s been a test from the beginning. Probably still is. And it’s so interesting because Wilbur hasn’t realised that this chapter (maybe I am just wrong), so it’ll be interesting to see his reaction should he ever realise the negotiations were ‘useless’.

Also, nobody has ever told Wilbur he has potential? Not even Nikki? Because he’s definitely been told he’d be a better ruler than Tommy, but that’s not the same. God every single adult on Eldingvegr has failed Wilbur. Give this boy some love and self-worth. He needs it. And a lot of it.

honestly idk if it came across correctly, but the 'they are under OUR protection' was meant to be almost possessive and controlling in a way? I didn't want it to read possessive in a weirdchamp way, but it wasn't necessarily a wholesome 'oh we're so loving and protective' bc that's not what the two of them are really thinking here. it was more like a 'they are under OUR protection meaning we can use them for our plans how we want' meanwhile, the other leaders are genuinely just worried bc these are two kids and phil is being very weird and evasive with talking about his plans so they're like uhhhh okay what are you thinking of doing here-

i mean of course niki has told wilbur a lot of kind things like that he has potential, but he's not really counting her since she's his age and his best friend. it was more like none of the actual authority figures/adult figures in his life ever told him he had potential, so it's different hearing it from an emperor of a whole ass empire. he definitely needs a lesson in self-love tho like goddamn

Yknow I’m finishing the last 2 episodes of HoT tonight & am prepared to either go straight into the Oni Trilogy afterwards but there’s something about Episode 8 that I wanted to note!

(( Long rambles abound ))

I think I’ve heard a few people describe Kai’s behavior as very much jumping to conclusions when he faces off against Ray with knowledge of his parents’ alleged betrayals — and I do 100% agree Kai tends to be brash. Versus Nya’s behavior, in holding Kai back to get him to listen to their father.

But I think from the perspective of both Kai, it kinda makes sense why!

Like for Nya, since she likely wasn’t old enough at the time to directly know their parents, it’s understandable she’d want to her out her father because this is the first time she’s honestly seen or heard from him.

On the other hand, Kai’s personally grown up with both parents while he’s at an age to be conscious of his need for them & attachment as a young child who misses them. There’s a LOT of trauma in realizing your parents weren’t gone the whole time, that they were out there and just left you behind to do something else — something that wasn’t what happened but very much so was skewed to appear so. So likely the thought going through his mind would be ‘You weren’t there for us when we needed in order to do things for the people actively harming us?’ I thought that might be interesting to note.

We got a super nifty fight scene out of that so I’ll add that to my collection of cool Kai moments lololol.

Other HoT ending notes:

- The fusion dragon was absolutely EPIC! And a boiling sea that works with a master of fire & master of water???! That’s such a neat concept!!! These things make me wished that the season could’ve been implemented better bc HoT had such huge potential (I prob won’t criticize anything tho cause I feel other people wrote a lot over the flaws more eloquently!).

- Ray and Maya were pretty great for the short time they were there, but I have really mixed feelings on bringing them back. It was such a huge part of the beginnings for awhile — the siblings starting off alone in the Pilots, Chen holding the backstories of Kai’s parents over himself, then finally both siblings grieving in DotD with a beautiful scenes & the foreshadowing of their parents’ backstories when Kai wonders if they’ll ever figure out what happened. All of that was just implemented so well!

I heard alternate ideas proposed from those who thought the set up for an arc where Ray & Maya were actually evil would give a lot to explore. That’d definitely be interesting for sure!

But of my own personal preferences, I really liked them being on the good side but the issue stemming from a distortion of perspective obscuring the actual events & intention. And just overall the idea of them being dead but the story being years later, where Kai & Nya get to the bottom of things and unwrap what actually happened. Now that they’re back, and it might be hard for the show to fit them into the plot when they’re established as extremely important.

In a sense, I kind of worry about getting that same feeling for Lord/Sensei Garmadon the next season too. I already know what happens so I’m just bracing myself for it >~<.

Lastly, for the next season:

I can’t wait to finally get to watch the things I’m curious about the most!

In a jumbled list — I really want to see the implementation of Pixal as the new Samurai X, Skylor’s reappearance & role (& just more into how her powers work if she uses them!), the arc with Sensei Wu developing with the ninja, Nya-Lloyd dynamic, Karloff returning (omg - I LOVE them bringing back other elemental masters!!), and the Mr. E rivalry with Zane (the Echo Zane theories I’ve read are so exciting!!!).

I’m a bit scared though because the Kai character assassinations begin along with this marking the point of many people not being able to see Garmadon the same again :(. So I hope the good skill of the writers makes up for that bc I know this show does a lot with all of the elements surrounding it!

Aaaaaaa I have so many thoughts my brain won’t let me sleep 😭

That’s one of those comments the likes of them shouldn’t enable during working hours, nor encourage outside of them, but Seok-ju still reacts by bursting into laughter, unabashed and far too fond of the possibility of taking these circumstances by involving the steely-eyed, sharp-tongued detective imported straight from Seoul in a more inebriated rendition of his self.

He hadn’t known how to feel about it at first, understandable as this reaction was considered by many. Working with officers and detectives and inspectors from other cities usually ends in a lot more ‘let’s never do this again’ than ‘I’m so happy we did that’. Interest and styles tend to clash, even in a field that should be as clear-cut in its procedures and rules as this one, only perhaps rivalled by the medical world, where opinions barely exist unless it’s to decide between two options, and even then you’re supposed to choose which makes more sense according to the rules and precedents that has gotten that world as far as it got.

Detectives especially tend to clash, each used to handling things their own way and preferably on their own, flanked only by people who will look up to them for decisions and execute the orders they settle upon, they’re used to the people beneath them and the people above them and the freedom that comes with a lack of uniform and the weight of a badge attached to a hip, power with individuality intact.

So yeah, how to feel about the notorious Grim Reaper from Seoul’s main precinct’s violent crimes division somehow getting dragged into a collaboration with the one detective in the Chuncheon force known for uncovering details even the most dedicate forensic had brushed right over, and this usually after he’d been caught staring into nothingness for ten minutes straight, or walked into a room with a look on their face not resembling the personality the ones around them are trying to apply to him, something odd and new about their gait that they can’t explain without explaining a bit too much.

He did think it pretty hilarious that detective Lee Hyuk’s moniker was that, of all the possible titles they could have given him. Hilarious in that semi-hysterical way where his mental laughter is a tad too shrill and desperately holding onto the blanket that’s keeping their internal eye from all the mess that lies beneath it.

But that’s where the amusement had stopped. Once they’d looked – up – at the guy, seen the look on his face, listened to his first greeting and understanding what the rest of his demeanour was offering, they’d quickly settled back into the resignation of this being a very difficult collaboration, and thanking whatever deity had made them stubborn yes, but not nearly conflict-seeking enough to butt heads with another officer.

No, Seok-ju’s style is just doing what he thinks is right, and if you don’t like it, he’ll just wait until you leave. And then do it. All within the natural order and laws that dictate the field they work in. Not so much the natural order and laws of life, but that’s for another day.

So he’d done his greetings, gotten through the introductions, gotten into a car, reached the crime scene, and readied themself for a day of minimal conversation and deep sighs, the kind meant to reel in the displeasure generated by having to defend your ideas over and over, before a man who perhaps meant to emulate his moniker to the best of his abilities.

But now Seok-ju is leaning against the side of his car, hands folded in front of himself, and shoulders slightly hunched as they allow the laughter to ripple through them.

Hey, he does have a sense of humour after all, look at that! He’d thought the joke they’d thrown out, about the witness’s own state of inebriation would be met with silence at best, and a genuine scolding at worst, to hear this muttered in response, well.

Seok-ju pushes himself off the car and comes to rest next to the other detective, contrasting his words and his stance with a much more relaxed version of his own. It’s true. Certain scenarios are best dealt with enough lacking wit of mind that you wouldn’t be forced to slam headfirst into the logical barricades your brain has to offer in response to what you’re asked to witness.

The witness in question is currently nearly completely invisible safe for the mop of hair and the hand Seok-ju can see peek out through the mountain of cardboard boxes he’d most likely been thrown into, or fallen into after one bottle of Soju too many. He looks like he’d spent the night there, which is of course just perfect, in the most sarcastic way Seok-ju can enunciate the word, for the purpose he’s meant to fulfil in ongoing investigations.

The other detective’s frustration is only understandable. When it comes to police investigations, the human element is always the most difficult to handle. But knowing that doesn’t exactly make it easier to swallow. And knowing that there’s no way around it, considering the seriousness of the situation, doesn’t make it better either.

You try hunting down what the precinct is slowly suspecting to turn itself into a serial killer – reason why they’d dragged someone in from Seoul, as if coming from Seoul instantly made you that much more capable, or maybe it’s the moniker and the reputation that precedes him for miles – when the only witness you managed to scout out after weeks of sleepless nights turns out to be this.

Seok-ju themself is trying to take it in stride because he was the one with sleepless nights and if they don’t joke about it a little, they will most definitely start screaming. So, rather than startling everything around an inconveniently quiet area, he reaches out and delivers a few amicable pats to Detective Lee’s arm.

“I’ll buy you a few rounds after this, promise,” he offers, eyebrows drawing together as their head tilts, turning their blooming smile into one of genuine apology.

Then he turns to the living corpse – for he hardly looks like anything more than that – still snoring away in what must be the most uncomfortable sleeping position he’s ever seen, and this is coming from someone who has found a permanent resting place in the most uncomfortable of chairs, they know what they’re talking about.

“So, rock-paper-scissors or do we toss a coin?”

Because their offer of drinks doesn’t extend his attempts at kindness and amicability to volunteering to wake this guy up.

Season of Comfort

Uhh, no heading I think is what's going on because I am on my phone because I am supposed to be sleeping but shhh

Anyways, the general idea plot thing was a group of friends getting together for a sleepover! Peak vibes of hot chocolate with marshmallows, cozy fireplaces, soft pillows and warm blankets! Pajamas plushies and messy hair galore!

(I also do not know how to put cuts on mobile so uh apologies for the potential long post)

Since treehouses were taken I think it would be neat if this took place in a small cave hideout. I mean the cozy hideouts already there, why wouldn't there be more? Perhaps it's connected as well. I considered having it take place in another small town but I didn't really know how that would work worldbuilding and gamewise

There's kind of no plot to this season, you just watch and play along with the friends as they play games, eat food, have fun. Pillow fights? Hide n seek? Possible illegal magic usage? Fun for the whole friend group! I also think it would be cool to display all the friend dynamics, like the mom friend, the dumb(affectionate) one, the extrovert, yknow! These are probably gonna be kids like the assembly crew, maybe a bit older perhaps? Although if these kids are allowed to perform construction without adult supervision, they're probably in their late teens or something instead, maybe some are technically adults. Then again, we don't really know this culture's uh rules per say on children

I also considered the plot being that one of the friends (who would be the seasonal guide) would have depression and you follow each of their friends helping them through and giving them comfort. I do like it but I wasn't really sure how I would convey it, yknow?

Anyways, as for cosmetics, plushies would be the main stars of all the available ones lmao. So far the ones I have in mind are manta, at least one bird, fish, crab, rabbit, tiger, lion, and ox. I would include a teddy bear but the current lack of anything that would tell us that a bear had existed in this universe makes me lean away from that unfortunately

Btw the tiger plush is super big. Like one of those jumbo-sized bears. Everyone has a lot of fun with them haha

Ooh a nightlight for a prop would be really cute too

As for hairs, I'm thinking a lot of fluffy hair. There should be more short fluffy hairs. Like just really messy bed hair would be adorable. I also think it would be funny if one of them had those like moon nightcaps with fluff and matching moon star pajamas

Speaking of pajamas, there's gotta be at least two sets. Maybe one is the classic like shirt and pants set and the other is a pretty nightgown. Because I still want a skirt tgc give us long pretty skirts

Uhh ultimate gift? Giant plush toy, and maybe another set of pajamas? Not sure yet haha

Oh you’re going to regret asking this one, I’m bout to GET SERIOUS.

So Pokemon, obvs, I love the whole world it’s built in, but the games imo are REALLY boring, I haven’t enjoyed one a lot since gale of darkness, the main ones just are a little too linear obvious plots, pretty standard setups for story and style. Speaking of style, the games lack personality, the models aren’t animated well, moves have no dynamic energy or visual difference at times, and the turn based battle style just feels kind of, I don’t know, old? Slow? Just doesn’t suit what I enjoy personally, gives me a FInal Fantasy vibe and I just cannot stand the speed at which things happen in those games, plus not into 3rd person ‘let’s build a team of people’ much, but that’s a problem for another time. With this all in mind, the game I wish would happen is like gen20 Pokemon, far future sadly, I doubt I’d see it in my lifetime but god I’d be happy if I did!

Ok so take the newest Zelda graphics, the visual treat that was BOTW, open world, puzzles, not JUST combat, you got side missions, hunt the chickens, find missing pets, parcels, items, whatever. Love it! The horse taming?! Amazing you funky little game. Now take the bad guys and beasts from that. And put Pokemon in instead. Give them the diversity, the life and believable natures that BOTW gave the animals, I followed a frog in BOTW for 15 minutes, and it was a great experience, it felt like it was believable. Above world spawning, ACTUAL difficult gameplay, rare spawn rates, make dragons hard to get again, cmon, it’s too easy now, make it so we need a certain set of Pokemon for certain tasks. Water types big enough to carry you will be able to get you to new areas, rock types that can help you climb mountains faster, or break through blocking boulders. Actual towns with more than 4 houses in them, shops, barns, farms, homes. Like little link with the heat, maybe ice types would struggle in volcano areas, or bug Pokemon not be so comfortable in gale force winds. Give the weather more of an effect on your partners. Mounts, don’t even get me started that Pokemon Let’s go had you able to ride any of the larger species, but swsh did not???? Bitch please, give me my rideable Pokemon. The wild area too was far too closed, limited, online was laggy and a mess, camping is limited, let me do more with my team. Pokemon for me is all about the actual creatures, how they live with humans, and the many wonderful things they’re capable of. Yes of course it’s cool they can fight, but like what else you know?

I’d love a game that lets me buy a plot of land, maybe plant things, custom build things. I’m a sucker for the fallout4 settlement builds when they’re modded to hell and back, they’re fun! It can be a really calm and creative process. If I could do that and skip the main campaign and all the battles for a bit? Amazing, it sound perfect for me. I am that distracted hoe collecting flowers while the kingdom burns in the background. Side quests are everything to me. Let me give homeless people enough money to get them in a home? Let me adopt Pokemon that are stray around the town? Plz oh plz bring me a Pokemon game that allows me to work WITH my team to do more than KO other species. I want to save and buy a plow for my buddy gogoat, and grow amazing foods to sell to get currency to spend in decorations, to spoil my team. Give me actual game consequence, if I ignore that sick and injured Pokemon I find in the wild, later maybe it’s family don’t want to help me out with a different problem, too stricken from grief. I am all about the average bits, the old women who need help, the lost pets board in town, the general day to day stuff. Let me get cosmetic items for the Pokemon I keep, cute outfits, special gemstone items, let me actually live with them, or even feel remotely like they’re realistic.

Ok so in game, if it’s looking like BOTW it’s pretty beautiful but also stylised, I’d have it so you can send out a maximum of 3 Pokemon from your 6, using bumpers and such to throw them out. If you hit the trigger you switch from controlling the human trainer, to the Pokemon you’ve targeted with a standard lock on targeting system. You then can be the leader, but be the Pokemon. You could technically defeat the game without a human if you wanted, which incorporates the mystery dungeon games I think, and caters to that crowd. I’d love to see the use of attacks out of battle, things like using water gun to grow plants, using ember to start a campfire faster and stave off the cold. There’s no consequence to Pokemon anymore, and I think that’s where it’s lost me. I have to admit I miss the days of a poisoned pokemon fainting if you don’t heal them soon enough, I miss gym battles that were actually tough, damn, try picking charmander in red and beating brock without grinding in viridian forest first, it’s not easy. And I loved that. Yes it’s a child’s game, it will never be difficult again, but god it’d be nice to have a bit of a challenge, or maybe a difficulty setting, so some could play it with hostility turned off, great for kids, or you can be n adult like I know so many Pokemon fans are, and play it on expert mode and ACTUALLY have to work hard to beat the game. Alternate skill trees anyone? Train gun a fire type to ACUTALLy combat water moves?? Please! Cmon! It frustrated me that every challenger has pretty much a systematic set of moves to use to win. Grass opponent? Fire attack spam until you win. It’s dull, so at least with very difficult tricks to either find or learn in game would make it more achievable if you can send that fire type in and I don’t know, train them so much the heat evaporates the water mid-battle and you suddenly have a shot at winning. Pokemon has taught me that if you work hard enough you can achieve something, but the games just have such strict ways to win. Feels wrong.

In terms of battling, let us BE the Pokemon, let us learn to dodge, train our speed, train our defence, make a team of truly tough Pokemon instead of just, average? Some species have a cap on their skills, a squirtle has lower stat points than a Charizard, but you can’t ever change that? Let me choose the Pokemon I believe in, and let me work with them until they’re just as good, if not better than the game tanks. This would also make online battles more interesting. Everyone picks the top trio. Fairy, dragon, legendaries. And yknow what? It’s boring. That one IRL fight with the monster Pacharisu that won in the world tournament with follow me and the situs Berry? Unbelievable, I love that little rat so much because of this, so let us all have a chance to build a team that’s strategically viable, strong, and potentially a winner formula, even if they aren’t fully evolved, or the biggest Pokemon in the world. Yeah maybe you have to grind way harder with your unevolved Pokemon, but you get to the end game and win, because you put love and time into species that you enjoy, not just good fighters.

Unfortunately I am beholdent to Todd-idiot-Howard, and I love the Eldrescrolls and fallout games (before they got dumb, not that I don’t play the new ones. 76 I’m looking at you, you big asshole game.) honestly I hate online games, so none of that junk, just a good old fashioned open world sandbox game is plenty. Games for me are an escape from others, not an invitation to socialise. To each their own of course, and I do play online games sometimes, just pretty short lived ones, over watch and rdr2 for example. Would they be sometimes better on private servers? Yes of course, fallout76? Want to play with others? No. I do not. Please leave me alone. And if you buy a private server you’re feeding the monster that is Todd Howard, the man the myth the asshole, then we’ll get more bad games like 76. I just so desperately want the Pokemon company to see what a beautiful potential game they’ve got on their hands, that could be suitable for far greater audiences, but instead they’ve focused on the kids. It’s fine, it’s functional, but it’s lost to the fans from day 1, that are all 20+ years old now and want something meatier to play, something far more broad and inclusive. I also hate that there’s no wheelchair option in any Pokemon game. Like cmon, it’s not hard to include that.

In short, BOTW + Pokemon, with a sprinkle of open world sandbox to it, less fighting, more fun. Or, at least both options. Sure, go fight everything, great, but I want to farm carrots over here with 6sunflora, plz let me have some peace.

SECOND EDIT: someone in the comments mentioned to put this in Unova? Plz love yourselves, this game would be ALL MAPS. Stuff one singular location, this is the ideal game, put every map in it, join them, put islands in, make them more explorable, more detailed!

i dont know if you had already talked about it, but can you explain why you think sokka and mai would understand each other?

oh thank you so much for giving me an excuse to talk about the glorious potential that would be their postwar dynamic. i see a lot of people misinterpret what their friendship would be like because they either don’t understand sokka, or mai, or in most cases, usually neither.

first of all, let’s get one thing straight: sokka doesn’t crack jokes because he wants people to revel in his comedy. sokka makes goofy puns (and what have you) to ease the tension, the same way that ty lee will start talking about auras to pacify a suspicious azula, or iroh will ramble to an enraged zuko about pai sho. they’re using a distraction to keep the peace.

on the other hand, mai will voice her (often witty, sarcastic) observations aloud because she’s bored out of her mind and trying to keep herself entertained. she has a wry, detached, kinda morbid sense of humor, and since she knows no one actually pays attention to her, she sees no issue in kinda just making comments to no one in particular. of course, we as the audience are privy to her commentary, but that’s not the same thing as azula actually listening to her (which she clearly doesn’t). mai fancies herself jim from the office, or daria from daria, just quietly observing the chaos around her with utter contempt like, “do y’all see this shit?” and, oh, you know who does the exact same thing? sokka.

mai and sokka are both depressed, cynical bastards. other than the few and far between moments in which sokka is actually given an opportunity to relax, he is always on edge and anticipating (what he considers to be) his inevitable demise. it’s vastly different from mai’s brand of cynicism & depression, in which she would leap at the opportunity to be given a project to occupy her mind, and longs for the sweet release of death. that said, just because sokka is anxious about everything (because he has everything to lose) and mai is anxious about nothing (because she has nothing to lose), doesn’t mean they’re not on the exact same wavelength.

once the war is over, mai meets the gaang, and sokka kicks her ass in pai sho, so mai decides maybe he isn’t so heinous after all, (a consensus she came to at around the exact same time ty lee first expressed interest in him,) and they get to talking. sokka asks her about her hobbies, other than knives of course, and to sokka this is normal smalltalk, but to mai this is a deeply personal question and he may as well be asking her how old she was when she got her first period. so she says, “yknow....... the cold, unyielding embrace of the void,” in a complete monotone, and to her surprise, sokka laughs, not at her, but with her. because she’s funny!

the more they get to know each other, the more they realize they actually have a lot in common, despite, on the surface, having nothing in common. for one thing, they both taught themselves how to throw blades with perfect precision, a skill that requires a deft knowledge of physics. they’re both really smart, and overwhelmingly kind but also kind of mean, and like i’ve established, their senses of humor are very compatible.

i don’t think mai would be offput by the things sokka is easily excited by, like some people claim, because for one thing, she loves ty lee, so, like... but for another, when mai expresses disdain for zuko’s pretty seashell, he yells “forget it!” and flings it across the beach. if sokka (who is apparently a shell nerd) tried to show mai a perfectly preserved conch shell he found and she said, “who the fuck cares about a stupid shell,” sokka would roll his eyes and patiently explain to her why if she cares about math, she should find shells beautiful, because sokka has infinitely more patience than zuko for these things, especially after knowing katara, toph, and aang for as long as he has. and then, since mai no longer feels demeaned by the fact that someone is simply giving her beach trash as some expected token of affection, but trying to share something he finds interesting with her because he expects her to take an interest in it too, she’s just open-minded enough to admit that yeah, okay, maybe conch shells are pretty cool, actually.

mai never needed a boyfriend. (especially not a boyfriend who was never attentive to her needs and tried to just. give her things instead of actually like. asking her how her day was??) what mai always needed was real friends. and while she and ty lee definitely love each other, being under azula’s thumb definitely got in the way of complete emotional honesty. a lot of the time, they speak in some form of code that clues us into the fact that there’s a lot more under the surface. for example, take their first ever interaction: “i thought you ran off and joined the circus. you said it was your calling.” mai is concerned to see ty lee because she assumed she was able to escape and pursue her passion. mai is also revealing that she and ty lee corresponded, likely without azula’s knowledge, indicating that their friendship exists outside of azula’s bounds. “well, azula called a little louder!” haha, says ty lee, a huge smile plastered upon her face. you know azula! you know what she’s like! she tried to set me on fire, obviously! let’s not discuss this ever again, thaaaaaanks :)

now that azula is out of the picture, mai and ty lee do have a chance to be completely honest with each other. mai also has a chance to be honest with zuko, because he has finally become honest with himself. and, mai has a chance to meet all of zuko’s cool new friends, now that she is no longer on the mission (under threat of electrocution) to attack them at every opportunity. so she can meet aang, who she’ll undoubtedly like simply because aang is impossible to dislike; and suki, who is awesome; and toph, whom she’ll adore because they have so much in common; and katara, whom she loathes (and loathes her in return) because they have absolutely nothing in common; and of course, sokka.

if people think mai wouldn’t laugh out loud at sokka’s jokes, these people have unfortunately never made a famously-deadpan person laugh. this is very sad for them, as they are freely admitting that they are neither cool nor funny. especially because it’s not actually hard to do. (i speak from experience as a famously deadpan person who just lost her entire shit watching this on a loop.) (okay, that’s not fair. that’s the funniest scene from any movie of all time.)

mai and sokka are constantly laughing at each other’s jokes, because that’s just what happens when two funny people with dry, slightly morbid senses of humor are put in a room together and also maybe it’s 3 am and they’re kinda tipsy and playing pai sho while also discussing the new tax plan they’re in the midst of proposing to zuko (who will approve it the second they hand it to him, because he trusts them unconditionally and doesn’t know shit about math) in a way that involves a lot of mocking every single one of zuko’s advisors, and due to all these factors someone (probably suki) finds them with tears streaming down both their faces because of something absolutely scathing they said about the shape of the minister of agriculture’s head and every time he opens his mouth from then on they exchange a look and have to hold back peals of laughter. usually sokka breaks first, but on the rare occasion that it’s mai, everyone else in the room suddenly becomes very concerned that she is terribly ill, and nothing she says can prevent them from making her soup and herbal tea and demanding that she rest until her affliction is healed. and sokka, bastard that he is, encourages them.

and that’s the crux of their profound, lifelong friendship.

Hey prinxly! How are ya? I apologize before hand if no longer take headcanon asks, but if you still do I wanted to ask if Escaping Expulsion has changed anything in your Blight Parents redeeming themselves scenario?

Hi!! No, you’re fine, my life has been pulling me every which way for a while now so I haven’t had the energy to answer the asks in my inbox 😅

As for how I feel about the Blights, I mean they turned out to be simultaneously better and worse than I had anticipated. Better in that they weren’t like, Victorian era plantation owners and cruel to an insane degree (not exactly a big ask but yknow), and worse in that Odalia seems to be so business-minded.

Odalia seems to be one of those oracle types that only ever sees what’s next and forgets to live in the moment. She also seems to consider every aspect of her life as part of her business, including her family. Her husband creates, her children help her sell. Her only Abomination track daughter is getting distracted? Her asset isn’t being used to its fullest potential? Those distractions need to be removed. Simple as that. Clearly they have the power/money/influence to pull those kinds of strings and we know now that their threat on Willow when they were 5 wasn’t an empty one.

Alador I personally find fascinating. As the fandom guessed, he doesn’t act so much on the abusive parenting side of things, but he does enable Odalia to continue abusing amity. He seems to have some amount of heart? Which is great! He made a passive attempt at getting Odalia to stop the demonstration when Luz said the investors got the idea. But he also didn’t do anything to stop the presentation when Odalia said “it won’t stop until it’s enemy has been destroyed”. It wasn’t until his own daughter showed up that he gave any amount of reaction, which at least tells me he’s concerned for Amity’s well-being.

When the ‘Bom’Tron was being stopped by his own daughter you could see how impressed he was by her strength. She destroyed the first version quite easily and I’m sure worked his ass off that whole week to make it strong enough to beat his daughter and she still managed to stop it. He admired his daughter’s bravery and teamwork with Luz, her straightforward demands to her own mother, the fact that she, of her own volition, destroyed the necklace that acted as a leash to her for most of her life. Of course he was also worried about how Odalia would react to all of this - he came to Amity’s defense in a roundabout way when he (kinda manipulated?) told Odalia that a Blight keeps their promises and then diverted her attention to Amity’s display of power (before having his attention turn to whatever other creature was flying by that he wanted to study).

Up until this point, Amity’s been nothing but an obedient puppet for her mother to control. But now that she’s made real friends? She’s finally thinking for herself and while Odalia seems to be enraged over that, Alador seems to be impressed and even proud. Odalia seems to be so business-oriented that she forgot to worry about her daughter’s future outside of how it would benefit the company. Alador planted the idea in her mind that amity could become a Coven Head. That’s an incredible honor and powerful position to have and Odalia didn’t even think of that.

As for how it changes my views on their redemption, I think they’re on different levels rather than being in the same boat. I think Alador would have a shorter path to redemption if he just showed more often that he actually genuinely cared about his children rather than just tailing his wife and doing as she says.

Odalia though; boy howdy does she have a lot to atone for. I don’t know if she even notices what her children do so long as they keep their grades up and show up for shows on time. I think if there ever came to be a proper rift in the family, the twins and Alador would have to take sides. I don’t doubt that the twins would be on Amity’s side but (like all oldest siblings) they would try to fix the situation and mitigate the damage before actually taking sides. I think is where Alador could begin his redemption if he sided with his daughter, but he could also dig himself deeper if he sided with his wife.

Now that we actually know the dynamics of their family and what kind of business they own and how it operates, I think a lot can be said about what needs to be done in order to redeem themselves to their kids.

Alright, I think now is a decent time to talk about why I don’t necessarily like Catradora and why I’m in the small percentage of those who prefer Glimmer/Catra.

I wanted to wait quite a bit after the finale had passed to post this because tensions were running high between shippers for a bit after it aired(even though everyone knew the endgame it still somewhat spiraled out of control). I wanted to make sure it didn’t seem like I was shitting on an important moment for the lgbt community and let ppl enjoy themselves, while allowing myself to have time to reflect on why I was among the dissatisfied while everyone else was losing their minds.

Upon reflection, like most ppl who weren’t necessarily enamored with their relationship, it’s because I had a relationship very similar to Adora/Catra’s dynamics. This is not meant to demonize those who like the ship, but just offer a different perspective on to why some don’t like how their relationship turned out.

Now, one thing I hated, was how dismissive ppl were of those who were talking about their own experiences because it is an important factor as to why they didn’t necessarily like the way spop ended. And a lot of the issues they had with the ship had actually VALID points and most of the ppl talking about it.... were actually rooting for them to end up together. Their complex relationship is what I imagine drew many ppl into the show in the first place and actually is one of my favorites in lgbt media because of that. I liked how they showed the ugly parts- the codependency, the resentment, and the angst are all very real emotions that a lot of ppl have to deal with in both friendships and relationships.

Personally, I kept watching because I wanted to see how the writers would make something this messy and raw work. Keep in mind I acknowledge, if I didn’t have experience with those kind of toxic relationships, I probably would have been okay with the ending.

The seasons of buildup showing how much Catra was hurting Adora and how far she was willing to go to spite Adora for the resolution between them to be wrapped up that quickly and seamlessly just didn’t resonate with me and fell flat. I know a lot of ppl made some bold claims about how it was healthy now and I was like “????????” just because they kissed, had their love confession, and Catra finally felt guilty about the things she did does not necessarily mean everything is fine. Catra became a better person sure but that doesn’t mean their relationship just immediately became healthier by default. More than anything, I felt like both Catra and Adora needed to reestablish healthy boundaries and address their trauma for their friendship first before even heading into a relationship(I wished spop had like one more season for this) but that’s a conversation for another day.

When I think about post-canon I could not see Adora being able to call Catra out if she falls back into the same behavior, because yknow healing is a process and doesn’t happen overnight and it takes time to unlearn harmful behaviors. Like many I still felt joy watching these character grow and have a chance of a better future but it did leave a slightly bitter taste in my mouth knowing that the resolution could have been done better.

Now onto Glimmer.

Seeing Catra and Glimmer interact is such a breathe of fresh air to watch. Their interactions always left me on the edge of my seat because they didn’t have heavy history between them and yet their chemistry was insane. When I watched a lot of Adora and Catra’s relationship unfold onscreen, in the back of my head, I’m like they are going to makeup because they have to and not necessarily because it makes sense story wise. But Glimmer and Catra aren’t like that, they don’t have external motivations driving them so when Glimmer forgives her it actually means something. They aren’t being pushed to be with each other and as a result everything seems to flow more naturally. I loved seeing their interactions, and I loved seeing Glimmer go more towards her dark nature because you could see how really similar the two are. But the most important thing is that Glimmer does not back down to anyone.

When I think about what Catra needs, it’s not an Adora, who in general comes off as love blind and hesitant to call Catra out on her behavior, it’s a Glimmer who’s not afraid to call her out on her bullshit, and vice-versa, so they can grow and learn from each other.

I wished the show had given their friendship more time to grow outside of their time on prime’s ship because of how much they have in common with each other. They both had parental figures who they were trying to prove something to, they both had abandonment issues, and they are both capable of slipping into bad behaviors on the basis of what they believe is “right”. Really, the only difference between them is their upbringing and that when Glimmer goes down that dark path she actually believes she’s doing it for the better good of Etheria. Hell, I wish the show made their relationship even more complicated by just bringing up one conversation about Angella.

That was the moment I was waiting for the entire season and I was disappointed that it never happened. Hell, that could have covered what was missing, which was a person just not immediately forgiving Catra. Imagine how tense and heartbreaking that scene would have been with Glimmer holding Catra accountable for what happened to her mother and ultimately learning to forgive her because she sees how easily she could get to that point herself(which she did). It would have been 1000% more interesting than the Bow/Glimmer conflict and would have probably satisfied a lot of complaints about the Catra redemption.

They had so much potential together and their dynamic is just so exciting to dive into and explore and I wished the show had just allowed it to grow and flourish a little more instead of the overwhelming focus on Adora/Catra only to have the resolution be wrapped up in record time.

im a really casual shipper honestly and i think all the big ships are pretty fun. i think everyone in dethklok is just dating each other at this point and any ship with any two (or three, or all of them) is so good. they all have such specific dynamics with each other so literally any combination is going to be unique yknow?? i also really love any skwisgaar ships in particular (hes my fave...if thats not obvious)

if i had to pick some relationships i admittedly have soft spots for though...

- skwisgaar and toki. love their history, love their banter, love how theres genuine care underneath all their fighting. if i could pick one ship to make canon it would probably? be this one? yeah

- skwisgaar and nathan. i just think they complement each other so well? and i love how it seems they hang out with just the other pretty often? i like to think theyve been close since the early days

- melmord and twinkletits. oh man. oh man! everything about them. i think theyre some of the best side characters and i love the potential development that could come out of them interacting (at the very least, melmord getting therapy from john).

and i wanna give an honorable mention to magnus and pickles but its less like "i ship this romantically" and more like "im super invested in the potential decades-long history that these two had together, and i think that history involved a relationship at some point" if that makes. any sense. gotta love some exes haha

as far as the second question goes uhh idk! theres plenty that could be changed from the show. i guess as far as things that im like "ok whatever i can deal with this but i wouldnt mind some changes" would i guess be nathan and abigails romance...? i dont mind them together and i think theres potential for some really fun and cute stuff, but i really wish we had more Actual time focused on them interacting and building chemistry before they were just kinda shoved together? im definitely interested to see what the new movie does about their relationship

i guess the short version is: pretty much whatever honestly! im just here to chill and have fun :]

critical role thoughts time again! damn this arc just keeps on giving us episodes like this huh. spoilers for c2e129 under the cut.

first off AAAAAAAAAHHHHH

shout out to liam for accurately summarising how I felt at the end of the episode: I went in thinking "thank fuck, they got away, they just gotta lie low and get some sleep it'll all be FINE" oops nope never mind

before I get into the actual story and my overload of screaming and emotions about it, more to remind myself than anything else: this stuff is all what *makes* good stories. not-the-most-clever character decisions. fraught moments. having to choose between two really shitty options. tension in extremely unsafe places (and lbr, both the happy fun ball and the fucking plane of fire are objectively v unsafe places! the tension and the fact that neither of those places were safe makes sense!). conflict and guilt and character death. all good story material. soooo yeah these have been very intense episodes, but fuck, these make for some good stories!

first off: the happy fun ball! I always forget how much I loved the episodes we spent in there, it's such an interesting (& terrifying & promising) place

I absolutely LOVED the fact that Yasha could break the door down but it resulted in untethering the rooms from each other. what a brilliant way to keep them moving but also having there be consequences.

the entire imagery of the void and the hallway falling away was so good

... the mighty nein's motto really could be "curiosity before caution", couldn't it. these fuckers, I love them for it

can't believe I was so stressed about the golem I was not prepared for what came next!

team fireplane time!

I was paying lots of attention to Liam's descriptions of Caleb and how he's behaving this episode and look ok he's very good at playing the aftermath of all that traumatic shit with Trent and Vergesson &... my heart ok.

side note: this is more re last episode, but it means a lot to me that Caleb was able to... like, stand his ground and tell Trent to fuck off repeatedly when Trent kept insisting he "just wants to talk", and that the M9 refused to let him go back to Trent, like, that is one abusive and manipulative and extremely honey-tongued man and I did see stuff in twitch chat being like "oh if Caleb had just spoken to Trent this wouldn't have happened" which... nope, it means so much to me that they have settled on "nope fuck this asshole"

Veth's high rolls are so wild I love them, rogues y'all

Matt honestly fucking KILLED it this episode, this really felt like the episode for the families to shine, and Marion, Yeza and Luc all have such strong characters and Matt plays them SO well! I loved every second of it. also I will never not be impressed at Matt managing social situations with multiple npcs.

Luc and Caduceus talking about farts is the adorablest thing, new favourite dynamic

oh boy that combat huh. wow. wtf.

love that Luc tried to shoot the elemental this kid

we're just not gonna talk about everyone's faces when Matt rolled damage for the explosion thing that hit the families, bc I cannot Handle that. it's fine it's all fine

okay but fate just DOES NOT work normally around this game, how tf do you explain those two successive nat 20s from Veth, that was incredible and just. narratively perfect. I loved it I was full on crying at this point.

Cad's hdywtdt was very good

speaking of Cad! this is the first time in a while we've had a revivify! Cad's whole prayer was lovely, and I do like the detail of bugs and moss covering Luc. but mostly I loved the detail of Yeza going up to him and thanking him

the quiet, calm, determination of Yeza Brenatto saying make them pay will stick in my head for a long long time

the sigh of relief I let out when the dome finally went up. my god.

hey hey caleb asked Jester to help him with the collar and it fucking worked, finally, after all these attempts on like the longest of long days when they're all fucking tapped. I was not expecting that! a win!! and he explicitly told her it was for Trent!

look it just. watching Caleb's reaction to Trent coming close to his new family makes me feel things, okay, and the poetic justice of Trent whose manipulative words are as much of a weapon as his magic getting a silencing collar is. pretty fucking delicious.

a lot of the fanfic on the last week has had bits of interaction between Marion and Caleb and I am delighted to see that in canon too!!!

Marion: "if there's one thing I've come to know, it's that the good people are easy to be mislead to think they're at fault for the things the bad people use to victimise them... if they convince us that they're responsible for everything that comes upon us, then they're absolved." man, matt is NOT fucking around

I think these conversations (both Yeza and Marion's) are so important bc after an encounter that harrowing the like... reminder of what you're doing it for, both for the characters AND for the players as like an "it's ok" from the DM is reassuring and needed yknow?

anyway I love Marion so much, her character is just. so excellent, and I love how both her sex work and her agoraphobia are respectfully handled and it's never implied that she's less of a mother for them; and getting a reminder of hey this is a wise and caring and insightful woman who's seen a lot of stuff and hearing her words was just really nice! would like a calm episode where we just get to spend time with her soon pls

loved Liam explicitly saying that Caleb bites his tongue and tries to listen, look how far my boy has come

and Yeza!!! Yeza!!! I cannot have many coherent thoughts about that conversation but I loved how he went full on, this is the firmest I remember him being, saying, "you cannot shoulder the blame for this on your own"

ugh look I love Veth and Yeza's relationship, I love that there is this conflict in their story that doesn't have anything to do with how much or whether they love each other, and I absolutely loved the reminder that Yeza – for all that he is a gentle stay-at-home dad – did get himself mixed up in the assembly business and that Veth dove into the Dynasty to come looking for him. and yeah the image of them cuddling in the dome and talking about the uncertainty of the future and about guilt and blame and the potential end of the world, and still ending with "I love you" is gonna stick in my heart for a while

hey at least Jester remembered to send a message. it is entirely ridiculous and kinda adorable that the Gentleman is cleaning up the place for Marion.

Badgerfang

badgerfang i think a lot of us have a big ol soft spot for, but ought i really care him and his family i think it needs more than jusT the badgerfang death like for real

one of the biggest reasons i wanna learn to animate is because i wanna make a badgerfang and flintfang amv! it would be sdkg more about flintfang because i think he’s a neat character who has a lot of potential for development

like mAN you ever stop and think about not only was flintfang sad over badgerfangs death because it was sad, bUT also because badgerfang was his sisters kit AND to the thought of blackstar is flintfangs brother. flintfang had to deal with playing a hand in badgerfangs death then watch his brother loyally follow brokenstar, then tigerstar 🥺

Baypaw

baypaw was the first of his lil chunk of family i design, i didnt have a sorrelstripe design made yet so i ultimately decided to base his design on his grandpa Lionblaze. smaller fluffy lionblaze.

I know we should be coming up to baypaw getting their warrior name soon

i think a name like Baysong or Baygale

Beech Tail

the only thing i have to say is dgjksh when i designed the ‘beech’ prefix designs it was late and i totally went ‘beech... the beach’ and noT beech the tree sdjkgh. so i designed beech tail like that of a penguin sdjkgh

Beechfur

beechfur , riverclan warrior under mistystar’s leadership

i imagine beechfur is be EXTREMely accident prone, from the first instant of getting sick and healed by leafpool all the way up till the end. He is in and out of the medicine cats den constantly. and through this formed a big ol crush on the pretty medicine cat apprentice Willowshine who has had to full on decline his feelings. he is not the only one who has had this treatment, many a riverclan cats have found themself charmed by willowshine

Beechpaw

Beechpaw, a apprentice of ancient skyclan who were forced to leave the forest territory. i imagine beechpaw was of the few cats who did everything he could to keep the others in good spirit while they tried to find their home, which often came to the annoyance of all his distraught clanmates. he never stopped doing all he could to put a smile on their face until he died.

he was the last apprentice cloudstar named a warrior and only lived a few moons after becoming one.

warrior names i like for him are like Beechshed or Beechshine

Beenose

slight update to my beenose design because i want her to fit my newer darktail group clown aesthetic

another design note is her and her siblings all are themed after a diff color of the rainbow, beenose is yellow. their mom snowbird has a pale rainbow pattern and each other her kits is a diff color of the rainbow

Beetlewhisker

Beetlewhisker is another one of my quiet favorites i have, and it is because of the error of him being alive for SO many books after he died.

like !!! bitch had a HUGE major death and went on to live for a long time aND be listed as a cats mentor (which i think that has been changed now)

i love the idea of in a way beetlewhisker WAS with the clans that long after his death. that due to his death was in a way locked in the dark forest, his soul stuck there. but because of the ways of the dark forest cat’s he was chased out, and unable to enter starclan having died in the dark forest, now cursed to live in limbo.

He walks to the grounds of riverclan watching over his clanmates while they rest hoping that no one else is to be preyed upon by the dark forest like he was ever again.

theres ghost stories of riverclan cats seeing the shape of a cat shining brightly when hit by moonlight. a peaceful spirit of the past who protects them.

and in design 100% his design was made to look like that of a smeleton bones lol

Bellaleaf

the erin team will have to pry bellaleaf and firestar being siblings from my cold dead hands!!

you can’t say they look basically exactly alike and their not related i wont take it sdjkg. i DIE for the idea oh whore jake managing to have so many kids that get into the clans. like the over saturation of jake dna through the clans ruining them absolutely kills me sdjkg

i also imagine ravenpaw having like deja vu of firestar when he looks at bella, cats who knew firestar look at her and can’t help feel she reminds them of someone.

Berryheart

another one of the designfor snowbirds kits, berryheart is the red themed sibling.

she also got a slight design change to be more clowny to fit her time in darktail’s group

Berrynose

i just love berrynose, i think hes very terrible and i love him a lot

i think the books are cowards and i think berrystar woulda been the fUNniest outcome oR like

imagine the powermove if berrynose lived and squirrelflight fucking made berrynose her deputy likE

also berrynose is a lil gay brat, he has a thick country accent and everyone find him weirdly charming. many hate him but cant help but find him alluring.

he actually is a very good warrior, he stays on top of his task and brings in the prey. his biggest problem is his ego and his need to get in others faces all the time

i love when he’s paired with lionblaze because their stupid rivarly is so good i really wish it was more plot important and lasted longer i LIVE for best friend rivals lion and berry

buT i also love him with jayfeather for the simple dynamic of the one cat who would probably hate him more than anyone else but oops he’s in love to

or him and breezepelt because they could be lil shitheads togeather

Birchface

the biggest thing i can say about birchface is 100% birchface watched over mapleshade’s kits, doesnt let appledusk or his own family hurt them. He treats them like his own.

in AU’s where birchface lives i defiantly can see him having a HUGE crush on mapleshade and being much like thrushpelt was to bluefur. being as a surrogate dad for her kits and keeping the secret.

in my main AU with mapleshade dieing and getting a redemption its mostly the same except they become a sweet happy family together in starclan.

he’s a big goofy dad type and his father had hoped he would become leader one day, but worried that he was too lax with the code and not as driven to fight as others and began to think he would have to rely on frecklewish instead. then they both died and he ended up turning to his youngest son pinefur

Blade

this is just a one time ghost cat buT i like the design i made for her.

im all here for dark forest cats having this black oozing mark from where they died, starclan gets being covered in stardust and maybe having from pretty plats or glow or other representative stuff on their death. but ghost cats are loUD with their mark of death. its a nagging weight they carry around based on their inability to move on to their respective afterlives. For blade its giant bright red tire marks that slowly circle around her body.

Blazefire

just a lil boy

i imagine he kinda constantly has crushes on cats from other clans which while some might tell him to hush when he shares his thoughts on the pretty cat from riverclan he gets some loving teasing from dovewing and antfur

Blazefire is also miss nearly all of his tail

Blizzardstar and Blizzardwing

not much here but to say 100% i designed blizzardwing in mind of being that of a grandson or great grandson to blizzardstar

Blossomfall

shrug idk a lot to say about her beyond, i know she’s a asshole character but i remember liking her, i think she’s mean but its kinda fun in a way

i think i also just have this soft spot for millies kits because their millie’s

also i just like my blossomfall design i think she’s v fun

Blossomkit

another shadowclan kit who died under brokenstar’s ruling.

i think as sad as it is, i can imagine blossomkit to be badgerfang’s sister, just another sad thing to think about for fernshade’s litter. the potential idea of all her kit’s dying because of brokenstar

a warrior name for her that would been cute woulda been like Blossomglaze or blossomsprout

Bluebellkit

bluebellkit sure disappeared from the books. she’s one of those kits that like, she already had a mouth full of a name and i wish i coulda seen what they woulda named her as a warrior

but she’s another one of snowbird’s rainbow themed kids, her ofc being the blue one.

i think a cute warrior name for her could been Bluebellwhistle or bluebellfoot

Blouder

i lobe boulder i think he is very under appreciated!!

Bouncefire

(bit of an art change from here as i took a break between these two and switched programs)

idk a lot about actual bouncefire, i think the only books with any real characterization in it was ones i havent read

buT id really like to imagine growing up he saw his mentor patchfoot as a father figure and was ultimately the reason patchfoot and his mom got together. and bouncefire being absolutely ecstatic about it. thinking patchfoot is the coolest guy

bouncefire gets along good with his half siblings

but brackenfur is quietly the biggest mess in the family. Being on pare with confidence and energy as cinderpelt when they were young, after her accident somethin changed for him. he loved his sister but is a big distant. but its hardly noticeable between the two as they worked very separate jobs in the clan

then his other sister, brightpaw has her accident and brackenfur begins to question something

but when he his the last to leave in the thunderclan group to their new home he stops and looks back at his mother frostfur who is old and frail look, though she wasnt young the damage of the forest hit her hard.

this when brackenfur decides starclan has it out for his family, especially the mollies. they were cursed he was sure.

moons later he is expecting his kits with sorreltail, letting his mind rest on the idea, the crazy notion that some greater force wanted the she-cats in his family dead.

then the day his kits arrive cinderpelt dies to the badgers. he pushes down these feelings down again it was the time. But he couldn’t help but think that, if leafpool was there, if starclan had given them a sign of the badgers, anything. maybe cinderpelt might have lived. but he pushes it back down and tells himself it was a warriors death

and then his daughter, cinderpaw is struck by the tree and the stirring in his mind grows stronger. why has starclan done this to his family

then honeyfern gets bit by the snake. how could starclan be so cruel, their always so young.

then his sweet sorreltail fought strongly for her two young daughters future

and on his own, forced to watch seedpaw drown and lilypaw be haunted by what happened.

the women in brackenfurs family is cursed and he bears the burden of relizing it, of living and watching each of them suffer until the end

to the ones that lived and are happy still, with no burdens in their lives he watches happily making sure NOTHING bad comes their way. he would fight starclan themselves to make sure his family is safe and happy

Breezepelt

in design Breezepelt has a p average length tail. which for him is a huge disappointment. His father crowfeather has a long slender windclan tail, a trait that is held to high standards in his family. a trait passed all the way down from windstar herself who had the longest and most beautifully windy tail.

Breezepelt has a angry spot about this because he feels lacking and especially disconnected to his father. BUT double this with jayfeather having only half windclan blood has a tail even longer than crowfeathers

i also would NOT put breezepelt with heathertail, i dont see any reason for it. like first off this bitch gay, id love for him to have a boyfriend and it think it should be berrynose because one, their both terrible i think it be funny and i also think its funny to ship berrynose with lionblaze or jayfeather so im like, whats another brother (to be clear not shipped all together, this is separately) and two, the idea heathertail and poppyfrost lesbian could exist

then the big BIg thing is, i would take breezepelts character and gut what happened in crowfeathers trial out of both him and crowfeather

briarlight buff as shit in her forlegs she loves trying to rope leafpool and jayfeather into lil strength contest she always wins (sometimes she will let leafpool win on days she needs it)

her and jayfeather are wlw/mlm best friends. jayfeather calls her pidge which started as a mean nickname that she simply loved and embraced fully

also in my AU with medicat lionblaze i can very much see briarlight and lionblaze being very sweet friends. like big strong lionblaze who is actually docile and compassionate about his work and briarlight loud and rooting him on

Brick

swear to god until i got back into warrior cats this year i had always thought brick was a lady and her and bone were suppous to be scourges like adoptive bad parents jkdg

anyways im still with that, she/her agender brick who adopts their terrible son scourge and is in a monogamous partnership with bone’s. strictly business defiantly not married, they just have a son together.

Brindlewing

idk a ton about her, but from her wiki it dsjkgh doesnt look like theirs alot

but i’d like to imagine she’s a very anxious girl and struggles in crowds especially around cat she doesn't know. she feels more comfortable when one of her sisters is with her or her grandmother nightcloud. Nightcloud has always been a source of self confidence for her and they love each very much.

Brindlewing also inherited crowfeather’s family long tail that skipped breezepelt. Brindlewing holds the tail in her mouth as a means of helping her anxiety.

Bristlefrost

a biG design overhaul for my bristlefrost design, i really didnt like the old design i made her. wanted her to be a lil darker colored and in general have a cuter design

i gave her diff color eyes to mark her double agent status one eye green like her fathers and the other sharing the same blue i use for ashfur’s eye color

i kept her with the one white paw which i give to any descendent of jake, just because canonically she is ivy and ferns kid.

but in my rewrite their not togeather. Fernsong was a kittypet or a loner who had lost their mate and home and was found by ivypool caring for his three kittens alone. this is more fernsong headcanon, but bristlefrost is there

bristle and all the kits love ivypool they look up to her big time and all wished she was their mentor when they became apprentices.

bristlefrost often confides in her father when feeling guilty or unsure of herself and he is always there for her

Bristlekit

half brother to tallstar

i imagine woolytail’s family seems to have a high mortality rate with their kids with only one maybe two usually making it to adulthood. bristlekit would die before becoming an apprentice and spent time in starclan with finchkit and later rabbitkit waiting for wrenflight and tallstar.

if bristlekit made it to being a warrior id like to think he was named Bristlefeather or Bristlefoot

Brook where small fish swim

teeny update to my brook design to give her small white fish dots matching her brothers spots

her general design is mean to be loosely based on a mountain lion.

she got strong powerful mountain climbing body

i also wish her romance was better developed and wasnt like based in a lot of white savior romance plots given to native and native coded characters

in general the tribe really shoulda just been written better

Brownpaw

brownpaw, brother to littlecloud killed mosspaw as a kit on accident and was apprenticed for it by brokenstar

i imagine him and his brother wetfoot killing mosspaw effect them both deeply. for wetfoot it shook him to the core and made his doubt his own claws

for brownpaw it set him down the path of destruction. brokenstar rewarding him for what happened with mosspaw was the biggest enabler

brownpaw would go on to be a blood thirsty apprentice who would throw his young life away under brokenstars order of attack.

had he been made a warrior i think brokenstar woulda named him Brownmoss claiming he had earned the name when he took it from mosspaw.

Bug

design for bug because i think the book she was in didnt exist when i originally started drawing every warrior cat

bumblestripe

bumblestripe’s character makes me sad

im SUCH a millie stan and for one of her kids to be disabled then treated like garbage to the end of her life and written super ablest and then her other two kids are total shit heads? makes me sad

i wish at lEAST millie and graystripe had a second little, maybe just one total sweetheart

and its been forever since i read the books. but i remember bumblestripe being a real nobody characters just very generic personality until romance plot for dovewing came into play. and now he super sucks!

i wish he coulda just been a good character who loved dovewing, is sad and kinda jealous of her feelings for tigerheart but in the end respects her decisions and even admires her courage to follow her heart even if it led her over the borders.
