gn! reader, a little swearing, sososo much fluff<3 i wrote this before school and i think it’s rly cute hegrhwwh
kenma was gonna be home in about 20 minutes, you ponder. your hands are at work, one ruffling the newly-blond hair on your head and the other skilfully drying it. the bathroom is a little messy; bleach bottles scattered, an uncountable amount of little towels draped over the sink and tub, you’re sure that if your boyfriend walked in on you now he’d pass some sarcastic remark about how it looked like a tornado passed through your shared apartment. you huff a laugh at the thought, biting back a smile as the blow drier turns off with a ‘click’ and you step back to admire your work.
it’s pretty; most of all, it reminds you of him. you tussle it around a little, poking at it and making the stupidest poses you can in the mirror- eventually getting so far into it that your eyes are closed and you’re just having the time of your life. that is, until kenma got home way too early.
“imagine out doing the do-er.” you mumble with a haughty smile.
“ yes, imagine. that’s the closest you’ll get,” a voice that you found too familiar pitched up from the door frame. your eyes practically fling open, you’re sure that the lids are now damaged. your boyfriend’s voice is smug, and if you look closely at his expression it’s fond. his slender form is leaned up against the sturdy frame, dressed sharply for a meeting(something you never witnessed often) and he looked divine. you’re against the bathroom sink, and kenma is now smiling at you unapologetically- noticing your hair. he steps forward, nimble fingers coming out to pat some of it on your scalp.
“you look.. really pretty.” he says quietly, although not looking you in the eye. your heart does backflips in the hollow of your chest as his hand moves down to cup your jaw, as he places a chaste kiss to the crown of your head. “.. you look kinda like me, too.” he laughs, pulling back a little. as your arms wind around his waist, he nearly slumps against you. kenma places his head atop yours; taking in a small breath and letting out yet another small laugh, “you little fucking thief,” he muses,” you used my shampoo!” the man accuses you, although his tone is a playful whisper. you only laugh, placing a kiss to his lips that make him feel as if he were going to melt into the mess of towels and bottles on the floor of your lavish apartment. he hums thoughtfully, “hm, i’ll allow it for now.” the faux- blond says, running a hand through his hair. “only if you help me touch up my hair now too, though,” he says with a grin.
