Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Review | Mining Machine Shop
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 shows up with flawless timing - perhaps somewhat late - as the best designs cards continue to get increasingly costly. Also, in light of the fact that GPUs continue to sell out even the not many that are sensibly evaluated haven't precisely been worth the sticker price.
Nonetheless, with the RTX 3050, you're not getting a lot of lower execution than the following up Nvidia's setup, the RTX 3060. The RTX 3050 has no issue hitting 60 fps in any 1080p game you toss at it, however it could begin to battle in the most requesting rounds of the age - think Cyberpunk 2077.
While that all sounds great, it's difficult to overlook how much costs have changed age on-age. While a sticker price of AED 1,129 probably won't appear to be high when you're accustomed to seeing designs cards at AED at least 3,000 nowadays, it's still fundamentally more costly than xx50 cards of the past. For example, the GTX 1050 Ti sent off at $139, and the GTX 1650 sent off at just $149.
Thus, probable because of a continuous silicon deficiency that is seeing processing costs rise emphatically across the business, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 is almost twofold the value of its last-age kin.
That extraordinary cost increment accompanies an enormous expansion in execution. Nonetheless, individuals that were expecting to see a designs card at real spending plan costs should continue to stand by - or go to the pre-owned market. We simply trust the RTX 4000 series has something more financial plan cordial, accepting the lack eases up any time soon.
Tumblr media
Cost and accessibility
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 is accessible now, beginning at AED 1,129 with costs going up from that point for further developed outsider sheets. We don't know what the reseller's exchange circumstance will resemble once the sheets become accessible, however assuming it's in any way similar to the RTX 3060, there may not be numerous illustrations cards accessible at that beginning cost - rather costs could begin to climb.
For example, the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3050 Eagle OC 8G we're exploring here is a fundamental rendition of the designs card. On the off chance that you need something with extravagant RGB lighting and overclocking-accommodating cooling arrangements, you must spend a lot more.
Nvidia isn't making a Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 3050 - very much as it didn't with the RTX 3060 - which is the significant explanation that designs cards at the low finish of the evaluating scale for this GPU will be unimaginably interesting. Ideally, as the RTX 3050 won't be generally excellent for crypto mining, it won't see huge cost increments after discharge. The truth will come out eventually with that one.
Highlights and chipset
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, very much like the remainder of the RTX 3000 series, is based on Nvidia's Ampere center. In past send-offs in this setup, the upgrades Nvidia made to this center over the last-gen Turing center offered an immense gen-on-gen expansion in execution - both for beam following and standard rasterization.
What's more, the GeForce RTX 3050 is the same. On account of the more modest assembling cycle of Nvidia Ampere, Team Green had the option to fit additional Streaming Multiprocessors without expanding the size of the kick the bucket, up to 20 from 14 on the GTX 1650. Nvidia had the option to actually twofold FP32 centers on every SM, giving the RTX 3050 2,560 CUDA centers, up from 892 on the GTX 1650. This implies it's much more impressive - on paper.
With this expansion in SMs, there's obviously an expansion in power expected to drive the RTX 3050 - however not however much we thought. TGP has simply expanded to 130W over the 75W TGP of the GTX 1650. That implies that the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT consumes way less power, yet as we'll see later, it brings about a significant misfortune in execution.
This is likewise the first xx50 card that is got Nvidia's full RTX include set. This implies this GPU gets both RT centers and Tensor centers, so it's equipped for beam following and DLSS. Both the GTX 1650 and the GTX 1650 Super got barred from these elements in the last age, so it's good to see them advance toward a 'financial plan' illustrations card - particularly DLSS. More current games that help these elements will get a fair lift in execution and quality, so it's a decent component to see even on the low-end RTX GPUs.
Fortunately, Nvidia likewise increased the VRAM on the RTX 3050 to 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit transport with 224 GB/s of data transmission. It's not the quickest memory of this age, but rather it ought to keep this designs card battling at 1080p for a surprisingly long time.
Since while it's cool that a reasonable designs card has beam following, that is not the fundamental draw here. DLSS will be undeniably more important for people purchasing this designs card, as it will support execution essentially without affecting visual quality much. It's not free presentation essentially - and you will see a quality drop on Performance Mode, for example - however it extends what the RTX 3050 will be equipped for at 1080p.
You additionally gain admittance to other Nvidia RTX tech, too. Nvidia Reflex will be nothing to joke about for this designs card specifically, as the presentation level it offers is as of now ideal for esports. Nvidia Reflex will upgrade the esports experience further by eliminating input slack. This component is beginning to show up in different games as well - it was declared for God of War at CES 2022, for example - and keeping in mind that it could be pleasant for a solitary player title, it's particularly decent for multiplayer games like Fortnite or Counter-Strike.

@themaresnest-dumblr replied to your post “It's Finally Winter Break! I'm FREE!”:
Okay, the first question is tell us all about the computer, the second is what sodding processor does it use that will allow you to play Sims 3? Like the graphic btw, it looks like a They Might Be Giants video.
I actually haven't been able to install/play TS3 at ALL! I've never had a problem running TS3 before, so this sucks!
At first I thought it was the EA App effing up--I had it install the base game and all the EPs at once, but that didn't work, so I figured OK, let me uninstall everything and ONLY install the base game. That FINALLY got the TS3 Folder to appear in Documents, and the Launcher finally loaded. But every time I click Play, it instantly crashes back to the EA App. I have zero mods or Store CC installed or anything. And the "Repair" button on the EA App appears to do EFF ALL, so.... *whimpers*
I never had a laptop with Nvidia and different V-RAM/GPU components, so I'm a fish out of water as far as specs go with this new PC, since my dinosaurs ran TS3 just fine, LOL. Before this I was on a Win10 8GB Dell laptop (2017-2023), and before that I was on a 4GB Vista HP laptop (2009-2017).
This new laptop is a Win11 Asus--it runs Baldur's Gate 3 (barely, LOL, even my Steam Deck is crying), so I have no clue why it can't run TS3:
Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900H, 2600 Mhz, 14 Core(s), 20 Logical Processor(s). Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU.
I made an Error Report that I sent to EA, so hopefully they tell me something, otherwise I'm screwed.

Tech friends, I need your help.
I'm choosing between 2 laptops to buy. We'll call them laptop 1 and 2, for the sake of simplicity. (I'm in no hurry to buy one, mine works... just fine... but not great. It struggles when I have too many tabs open in Chrome, and is lagging as I write this post with literally only Discord open in the background. I'm sure you can imagine how it handles any heavier program. Yes I made a mistake by cheaping out when I could afford better, yes I am aware of this, yes I regret it deeply, let's move on.)
Laptop 1 is about 100 dollars/euros/1000 SEK cheaper.
They both have OLED screens with approximately the screen resolution: laptop 1 has a 15.6" display with 2880 x 1620 resolution (16:9) and laptop 2 has a 14" display with 2880 x 1800 resolution (16:10). My current laptop has a 14" display with 1920 x 1080 resolution (16:9) so either way it's a pretty big upgrade. In terms of size alone, I prefer the 15.6". (Laptop 1 weighs 1.8kg and laptop 2 weighs 1.45kg, which is not enough of a difference that it really matters to me.)
Laptop 1 has a higher refresh rate (120Hz vs 90Hz on laptop 2).
Their processors are both AMD Ryzen 7s (8 cores, 16 threads, 16GB RAM) with equal base clock speed (3.2GHz), but laptop 1 has a Ryzen 7 5800H while laptop 2 has a Ryzen 7 6800H. The two processors use different RAM types (5800H uses DDR4 RAM & 6800H uses LPDDR5 SDRAM (though it is fully possible that the 5800H also uses SDRAM and the sites I'm looking at just aren't telling me)). 5800H has a higher peak temperature (105 Celsius vs. 95 Celsius). The 6800H has a higher turbo clock speed (4.7GHz vs. 4.4GHz).
They both have the same graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050), they both ship with Windows 11, and they both have 1TB of storage space.
Ultimately, I think the main question is whether laptop 2's better processor makes a big enough difference that it negates laptop 1's comfort of a bigger display and justifies the price difference despite it being smaller... and I do not know enough about laptops to make the call there.
("Build your own PC" and "buy a desktop PC" are both advice I will not take because I do not own or have space for a desk.)
(They're both Asus Vivobook Pro OLEDs: laptop 1 is M6500QC-MA025W and laptop 2 is M6400RC-KM001W, and more specifically, they cost 15990 SEK and 16990 SEK. My current laptop is also an ASUS Vivobook but I don't even think they make it anymore because it's so bad. It has a 2-core Ryzen 3 processor and 128GB of storage space.)

Asus Vivobook Pro 14X OLED
Tumblr media
Я долго выбирал замену и в итоге выбор пал на Asus. У этой модели есть много вариаций, но я остановился на такой (по-моему это флагман в данной линейке, но могу ошибаться):
Intel Core i7 11370H
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 Laptop
16 Гб ОЗУ
512 Гб SSD PCIe

yo your screenshots always look immaculate! can i know your system specs because i need an upgrade <3
ahhhh okay let me make sure i get this right XD
so i have a SYBER M PRO 200 gaming tower my best fucking investment honestly. i did some minor modifications to the orginal like i love my geforce products so i updated the fans to  NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 PCIe Gen 4 x16 Triple Fan Graphics Card with Triple Fan
and updated from 32GB to 64GB with the CORSAIR - VENGEANCE 64GB (32GB each) 6400MHz PC5-51200 DDR5 C32 DIMM
but for the longest time i was laptop user, sometimes still am when i want to lay in bed and play video games.
i have the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58-525P Gaming Laptop |Core i5-12500H | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop once again GForce... but yeah honestly what helped also is getting an extended hard drive and putting your games on that.
i hope i answered that correctly XD and hope it was useful <3

thank you so much for the pc advice!! im such a baby with all this but noticed this one maybe? do u think it’d be good for the stuff i want? (minecraft/sims/valo games like that)
https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/view/Aero-Master/
i would say that is absolutely a reasonable computer, probably do the job absolutely fine!
however, if you can spare a little bit more, i would perhaps reccomend the i5 processor over the i3, i think its ~$30 more but i think that might bottleneck you a bit otherwise - but the i3 which you currently have would probably work fine if you want to keep it :)
I would also probably strongly suggest you maybe consider changing the graphics card? the 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3050 looks like its actually cheaper, than the one currently suggested and has 3GB more memory which might be useful for minecraft and valo :)
only other thing to consider is perhaps the cooling, im finding it a little hard to understand but i would be a bit worried with only 1*120mm fan it wouldn't be enough. I would perhaps reccomend 2*120mm fans here, otherwise you run the risk of overheating. so perhaps the CORSAIR H100I ELITE RGB CPU COOLER ? it is a bit more expensive though at about £50 more, so up to you absolutely!!
looks like a really good choice though, and pretty good value for money even if you didnt change anything :) any more questions or queries go ahead

Hi Friend! I want to say thank you for your willingness to help the community with Reshade. You are such an awesome person for that =)
I'll be paging through your Reshade resources for more help and tips. But, I wanted to ask, do you think my system:- A Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Gaming Laptop, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, AMD Ryzen 5 6600H(Beat i5-12400F) , 8GB DDR5 RAM, 256GB SSD, 15.6 Inch FHD Display, Wi-Fi, Windows 11 Home, will be able to run Reshade? Also, what is the best version to go with? (Btw, I'm now kicking myself for not going with 16 gigs of memory *faceplam*)
Thx 🤗
Hi! Oh yeah, you’ll be fine. It’s just integrated cards that might have some issues, but then again idk what the latest of those are like these days so maybe some could handle it okay.
The important part for ReShade is your GPU. Your 3050 will be fine. While it’s not a high-end card it’s going to do just fine. I looked at some benchmarks comparing it to my ageing and grumpy 980Ti, which is 8 years old now, and in some instances mine performs better but in others yours does and there’s not much in it, and you’ve seen what punishment I put mine through!
People have been using ReShade-style tools for well over a decade on much worse hardware. I used to use ENBs (similar to ReShade but works in a different way on a game-by-game basis) back in 2011 on a bootcamped Macbook lol.
The first proper screenshot I ever uploaded (Skyrim, using Bleak ENB on my Macbook):
Tumblr media
As for the best version, the most recent. You’ll get all the most up to date improvements and shaders and if you run into any problems you’ll know it’s not because the version is outdated.
