i think we're gonna get a better asia tour in the future. like it's gonna include other countries he toured during ltwt (turkey, uae, philippines..) and gonna include the shows he cancelled and didn't tour before (japan, india etc) or maybe i'm delusional lol why do they take us for granted? asia is literally the biggest continent :( we deserve better

#anon#I won’t pretend to know for sure how this stuff works#but I would think that when you cancel shows this last minute it doesn’t bode well for future deals with venues/promoters/local crews etc#not to mention fans will think a thousand times before purchasing tickets again#it’s not even about the tickets to the actual show itself because him and his team always make sure those are affordable#it’s about purchasing flight tickets and booking accommodations - most of which are non refundable#I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before but when I went to see him in Turkey the concert ticket itself was the cheapest thing I spent money on#and also right now im thanking my lucky stars I didn’t have enough time’s notice this time around#to try and schedule a whole entire international trip in order to make one of the Asian dates for this tour

thinking about neil recording demos a couple months before he met chris
#i mentioned it today to my mom and now im like oh. hm#i can't exactly articulate it im too tired#just the fact he did that interests me#i wish he'd talk more about his thought process from that time#because yeah he was getting into electronic music and that was quickly becoming apparent to be the next Thing in popular music#hence why he bought a synthesizer#but even tho he spent his redundancy money on it thats still a big investment and commitment#and then to go and record demos professionally at a studio?#idk it just seemed like around that time/before then he kind of became disillusioned that he'd actually get anywhere#to then doing all of that in 1980/1981#i just want some kind of insight in what was going through his head beyond what he kind of says in the preface of his book#he broke up with his girlfriend around then idk if that had anything to do with it. probably not but 🤷♀️

might be a little late now but i think ive discovered what i actually need to do for a new year's resolution: teaching myself not to be a perfectionist
i constantly keep thinking as im working on comms (especially with new clients) like "oh god i hope this looks ok i dont want to give them something they don't think is good enough" but it's like. clients actively kinda know what to expect, already, and my process is literally sketch > payment > finishing so they already know roughly what the finished product will look like, it's just a matter of time to make it happen and the things i deem as mistakes and do over 1000 times probably aren't even perceivable to viewers
#cyspeaks#i am just super stressed about a hundred things and it'sreally eating into time i could be using to draw#then that drawing time is spent overthinking things that no one but i will notice#then i get stressed out all over again bc i really need the money and taking so long isn't getting rent paid any faster#not to mention i REALLY need to visit a dentist and a doctor but have no insurance and no money#and it's not like my parents can let up on rent so i can build a buffer cause the rent is high here#and my dad alone isnt able to cover it + food because capitalism fucking sucks#anyway i need to sleep i think#way too in my own head rn and it's showing#if push comes to shove i may need to end up crowdsourcing funds so i can actually see a dentist at least#that's the main thing im worried abt rn

#do i really look this young? ;-;#after i turned 20 people started asking me for id everywhere but before that it literally never happened#but at least i spent nice time with friend on her first con and i feel like i really enjoyed convention the first time in a while#not to mention that i don't have feeling of wasted money because ticket was quite cheap for this economy lol#but ofc there was no persona merch outside of one artist i like so i bought another sticker from her xD#and met yukiko cosplayer!! she said i was the first one to recognize who was she cosplaying i cant#plus there was a video game room where we wanted to play blazblue (i believe) because of p4 cast but it was always so crowded#and unfortunately we weren't able to do fan dubs (which was our main destination) because today they were only doing bsd#and neither of us watch/read it so#anyway it was nice experience in general because i don't remember the last time i was able to enjoy con to the fullest#(if it ever happened b4 lol)#and i love that there was almost no hurry so if you really wanted you had a chance to talk with every artist without being a bother to them#or other people attending con#pau.txt

I was told that the DMC prices would be hiked next month so I panic bought about 60 threads for 7 different projects (even though I only let myself work on two at a time) and uh... got a lot of fabric. And then I needed new scissors because I didn’t understand how sacred those are when I started. And while I was there yaknow, I was just complaining about storage solutions with my threads so I got organizer boxes and oh well I don’t know if my bobbins will fit so I’ll get the official bobbin packs and uh.
