Writing Tips: Freytag's Dramatic 5-part Arc
My take on Freytag’s Pyramid/5 part arc:
Mundane Situation: Start by introducing the protagonist and their world, setting the stage for the narrative. The inciting incident disrupts the protagonist's normal life and propels them into action.
Dramatic Struggle: The protagonist faces challenges and obstacles, with tension and conflict rising as they strive to overcome them. This phase also involves character development and growth.
Surprising Solution: The tension reaches its peak as the protagonist finds an unexpected and inventive solution to the central conflict, often accompanied by plot twists.
Analysis/Explanation: After the climax, provide context and explanation, clarifying the significance of the protagonist's actions and motivations.
Appreciation of the Journey: Conclude the story by allowing readers to appreciate the resolution, experience closure, and reflect on the characters' transformations.
This is part of my Writing Tips series. Everyday I publish a writing tip to this blog.

“Herbstained—flowerstained—shellscented—seafaring—foresthunting—junglewise—desert gazing—rides heart from chest—lashing with beauty—afleet—across chimney—tinfoil river to meet another’s dark heart!”

''Portrait de Marcel Duchamp'' (1920-22)______________ par la Baronne Elsa Von Freytag-Loringhoven.
Exemple d'assemblage, constitué d'un amalgame de verres à vin cassés, de plumes assorties, de brindilles d'arbres et d'autres objets non identifiables en référence à Marcel Duchamp, qui créa divers ready-made à partir de 1913.
