Galra Genetics
--------------------------
Basically just a list of unique Galra only genetics I've seen within the show.
--------------------------
1. Hair line/Markings:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Galra seem to have a very specific hair line within the show that can be seen even on scalier Galra, such as Zarkon. This Hair line isn't as straight as others we've seen in the show and appears to point down closer to the Galrans' face in comparison to other races. Galra with markings instead of large quantities of fur tend to also have this as their markings end up pointing towards their face as seen with Ezor, Narti, and Ranveig. This is seen in only Galra and Galra half breeds, such as Lotor's generals.
-----------
2. Mohawk/head point:
Tumblr media
Mammalian Galra typically have a Mohawk on the top of their heads and reptilian Galra tend to have the scales end at a point as seen above. Though there are some Galra that don't quite have this such as ranveig, I haven't seen the specific type of hair growth on any other races. And while one could dress their hair up like a Mohawk, the Galrans tend to be more naturally occurring. Possibly due to skull shape? Or maybe some genetic evolution not told to us in show.
-----------
3. Detached ears/predators ears:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This refers to the loose skin and tissue at the bottom of the ear. This is the area where you'd typically attach earrings to. Detached ears are when that skin and tissue is not attached to the side of the head where the jawbone meets the skull. Having detached or attached ears will not affect your hearing in any way. Galra tend to have detached ears or Animal ears genetically closer to that of predators. I tried to see if there were any types of classifications to animal ears and couldn't find squat.
-----------
4. Elongated arms:
Tumblr media
While human arms are typically long enough to be a hip length or a tad lower the Galran arms are a tad closer to the knee than other limbs shown in show. This also indicates that unlike humans, when Galrans' stretch their arms away from their bodies, the length from one arm to the other may not match the length of the individual's body like it does for Humans.
-----------
5: Sharp pupils/overall eyes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just as said, the Galra typically have sharper more predatory like pupils compared to other races. Though some Galra seem to lack any distinct factors to their eyes compared to other Galra, my personal theory is that when a Galran undergoes large amounts of quintessence treatment, the quintessence in the body begins to take over and seemingly hide the pupil, iris, or other parts of the eye. We can see this happen first hand with Haggar/Honerva and Zarkon. As well as Sendak when we see an alternate version of him in season 8. Other factors of the Galran eye, the Sclera is yellow in color instead of white and the iris is usually red in coloration. I've also noticed that in terms of eye shape, eyes lacking in an iris or pupil, tend to have a more exhausted expression to them (dipping downwards and having eye bags). This could also be attributed to larger amounts of quintessence within the body.
---------------------------------------
Like I've said in previous posts, I'm not an expert in any of this stuff regarding, psychology, genetics, ect. While I have studied with ambition into these topics I'm not a viable source for information regarding anything in relation to science and at most may know more than the average individual but that's about it.

i am once again expanding on my ideas of how i’d write voltron but this time it’s thanks to @iveofficiallygonemad’s encouragement to hear about the galra generals
so first off, lotor + the generals should have been foils to the paladins, minus shiro cuz he’s missing when they’re introduced. the paladins being everyone in their OG lion + allura in black for reasons i’ve explored a buncha times already. the foils would be: lotor and allura, acxa and keith, narti and pidge, ezor and lance, and hunk and zethrid.
each one of these pairs has some surface level traits that are extremely similar if not identical, while having deeper traits that are completely opposite. allura and lotor are both royalty and their team’s leader, but with completely different moralities and approaches to ruling/leading. keith and acxa are both the right hands (and look so similar that ppl thought they were secret twins lmaooo) but where acxa is cold and calculating, keith is impulsive and hot-headed. both pidge and narti are very agile and keep secrets, but pidge hacks computers and narti hacks people’s minds. lance and ezor are both adaptable and outgoing, but ezor has a cruelty to her that lance doesn’t, instead being very kind. similar to them, hunk and zethrid are both powerhouses, but hunk knows to use his power responsibly while zethrid loves fighting for the sake of it. there could have been an excellent showcase here of how the team with more kindness and compassion are always beating the team that’s more cruel and uncaring.
now i don’t like the narti died, and i maintain that lotor should have been redeemed— not because i particularly like his character in canon, but because he could’ve had a much better one. he was clearly shown to have shitty parents, and it would’ve been so much more satisfying to see him rebel against them and break the cycle as it were. and with the blade of marmora being an organization of galra working against the empire, it’s clear where they could go.
i’m imagining a plotline of zarkon being resurrected or whatever happened in those seasons, and lotor being told him + his team now have no use, they were just a stand-in for zarkon while he was down and out. it’d be the final straw for him, and he’d storm off, his parents assuming his just throwing a tantrum. in reality, he’s convincing the generals— who are really the closest thing he has to friends— to just defect from the empire.
acxa has an undying loyalty to lotor, so she’s open to whatever he wants to do. ezor and zethrid are very chaotic neutral, down for whatever strikes their fancy in the moment and in this moment the idea sounds exhilarating and fun. they aren’t outright villains anymore but they’re still quite fucked up and tbh. good for them!
as for narti, she was killed in canon before she got any sort of personality, so i’m gonna hang onto the foil concept and base some personality and backstory on pidge’s. narti is very curious about life outside the empire, because the empire is all she’s known. she was a child soldier from day one. she also wants to get more knowledge about her powers and non-galran heritage, because it’s as much a mystery to her as it is to everyone else. she’s kind of always wanted to defect, but didn’t have the bravery to do so alone.
so they run away with no real plan of what to do. lotor wants a life outside of his father, but his father is ever expanding the empire, so he keeps losing places that are just his. that, plus his first hand witness of what the empire actually does, opens his eyes to the cruelty of his father’s colonization. that drives him to wanting to outright fight back against his father and the generals, who have been watching the same things, are right there with him.
acxa is watching the empire from an outsider’s position, and she’s seeing the real danger of being a mindless follower. she’s watching countless soldiers follow the orders of a handful of generals, and watching those generals not care when the soldiers get hurt or even die, because they’re just numbers and forces to the generals. she realizes that she should be making her own decisions and that even if she trusts lotor, he shouldn’t be the one in charge of her life.
narti is at first one track minded in finding her other parent’s home planet, but time and time again she watches a similar devastation happen on other planets. families get separated, important cultural artifacts are damaged, history documentation is destroyed. she learns she isn’t the only one dealing with this, and she doesn’t want any more people to suffer the same fate she has.
ezor and zethrid have been spending this time like a vacation from work, doing whatever seems most fun and rewarding. but they eventually start to see the empire repeatedly ruining their fun, and they don’t like it. they’d tell the others they don’t want zarkon interrupting them anymore and they don’t, but a large part of it is also seeing the hurt on their friends’ faces whenever they get caught in a firefight again. they love each other, and they love their friends, and they don’t want any of them getting hurt.
now obviously team voltron and their various allies wouldn’t trust lotor and co. but time and time again they’d see them helping voltron and hurting the empire how they can. eventually, there’s be tentative teamwork and down the line, they’d be invited to join the blade of marmora.
immediately all five of them would notice the familiarity between the blades and the empire. there’s basically no difference between their mottos; the blade is uncomfortably okay with letting soldiers die if it means getting the mission done.
the generals want to say something, but lotor doesn’t want to stir the pot too much. their position is very weak, there’s still very little trust in them. to come out the gate opposing how everything is done wouldn’t be good.
but the blade trusts voltron, doesn’t it? and one of the paladins is also a blade. so… they find keith and talk to him, telling him that while the blade has a good cause unlike the empire, both are a little too cool with letting people die, and it’s more than kind of upsetting.
keith, who is way too self sacrificial, doesn’t see a problem with this, but brings it up next time he’s with voltron. everyone is surprised by lotor + co’s behavior and ideals, and start to trust them more
i’m starting to lose steam here but um. lotor + co being good guys and the five of them co-leading the blade and making it better than the empire :-) they all get their own mini character arcs within this collective group arc and no one is killed for shock factor and no one is pushing the narrative of abused kids turning out just like their parents and continuing the cycle <3

@loturaweek2023 final day: Cooking Up Chaos!
Allura had never considered herself particularly foolish or in need, but as straits grew more dire, she found herself more and more willing to entertain certain flights of fancy, all the way until she had gathered her wits and struck out into the forest in search of the witch that lived there.
The closer she got, the easier her walk, bramblebushes giving way to a well kept path, undergrowth trimmed back, and in the center of the clearing she approached: a sprawling herb garden with a neat and tidy cottage in the center. It seemed out of place, if only for its charm in an otherwise wild stretch of forest.
She cleared her throat as she entered the clearing, unsure of how close would be too close to go uninvited. But nobody was in the garden, and there was smoke pouring from the chimney, so her mark must surely be inside.
She knocked on the door.
The man that answered was—not quite what Allura had expected. He was purple, for one, not green. With long, trailing, starlit hair and catseyes. His hat was so large it almost wouldn’t fit through the doorframe, with a dent at the halfway point that left the tip pointed sideways, and his dark robes trailed the floor with a tattered end.
“Greetings.”
“Oh,” Allura jolted, blinking and gathering her manners, “Hello, um, good witch?"
The man snorted softly, smiling with an almost playful gleam. “When it suits me. Come in,” he ushered her in, and she let out a small noise at a second surprise.
“I, oh, I hadn’t realized there were two of you,” she mentioned, hoping that wasn’t too rude. There was another woman, her body even more changed by her magic than his, eyeless and seeming… scaled, lounging near the fire, cat on her belly.
“Typically, witches are solitary outside of gatherings,” the man mentioned, stirring something in the cauldron over the flames. “It’s just that somebody decided to take my cat as her familiar.”
The blind witch looked smug, gesturing something Allura did not understand at him, and he let out a grumbling noise. He huffed, and turned back towards Allura.
“But come, you’ve traveled all this way for a reason, have you not, Princess? Tell us what you wish from us, and we’ll assess the cost.”
Allura settled her hand on the bag in her deepest pocket, filled with things she truly hoped the witches might take. She had no real desires to offer up any firstborns or lindworms.
“My father’s court is full of liars,” she stated. This was… pretty well known, all considered. Even her father admitted to it now, and he’d long attempted to hide the truth from even himself on the matter. “They’re deceptive and cunning, and will lead us all to ruin. I’ve tried begging my father to take more aggressive methods with them, but he resists. I… do not wish to kill them, but come in search of whatever solutions you are capable of providing.”
The male witch hummed, stirring his brew. “If the liars are the issue, then perhaps they should not be allowed to lie.”
Allura frowned, then lit up. “A truth spell?”
“Potion, but yes,” he said, ladling glowing yellow liquid into a pitcher. “I’ve none on hand, and Narti—” he turned to look at the lady witch (Narti, Allura supposed), who shook her head, “—has none either. Give me a moment to put my current brew away, and we shall have an elixir that will make even the most silver tongued liar speak plainly.”
“And the cost, for such a thing?”
He cast her a sly glance. “What have you to pay?”
Allura pulled from her pocket the bag she’d brought. “Gold, and jewelstones. Coin, if you want it.” Though, rumor had it witches rarely did. “If you want something else—”
“We’ll take the coin,” he said easily, and—oh.
For some reason she’d expected it to be harder than that.
He laughed at her expression. “Despite what the fairytales will tell you; even witches need to purchase goods and services from those in town. You’re more capable of affording to part with your coin than some of the desperate folks that cross our door.”
Well now she just felt silly.
She cleared her throat. “And will you tell me your name, good witch?”
“Lotor. And I know you, Princess Allura. There’s plenty talk of you, around the kingdom.”
“What kind of talk?”
“Mm. I wonder,” Lotor hummed, continuing to drain the cauldron and offering no elaboration. “But I will warn you of one thing, Princess. There is a second cost to our deal: the cost of using magic at all. The more you use, the higher the price. Be cautious, little royal, that you do not use so much, that it becomes a price you are unwilling to pay."
Like the purple skin. And the scales.
“I’ll be careful. I don’t plan on needing more than just this, anyway.” If she could just oust the liars, if they could separate the wheat from the chaff, she knew things would get better.
“No one ever does,” he warned, tipping over the mostly-empty cauldron to let the remaining trickles of glowing amber slip through a grate on the floor, mingling with ash and other discarded brews below.
She watched him begin the next batch, made mostly of harmless water, but the more ingredients he added the more… otherworldly, the mix became. He had her fetch a few things for him while he stirred, and Allura was willing enough to comply, figuring normally Narti must do this (or that helping make the potion was perhaps necessary, since she’d be the one to use it).
It worked.
The court was in chaos. Everyone was saying what was actually on their mind and all hell was breaking loose. It had started when a courtesan had told Alfor to his face that she thought he was weak spined and easily manipulated, her eyes going wide in horror as she had attempted to backtrack, but her tongue hadn’t let her.
Allura watched on with what she hoped was not-too-obvious glee.
Alfor took advantage of the magic, however it had come about, and was able to swiftly dismiss those forced to confess their ulterior motives. He was left with a small, but genuinely loyal group, and they began rebuilding their ranks with similarly loyal replacements.
Allura’s hair turned slowly silver, over the days it took to oust the liars. She hid her hair behind colorful scarves and told her mother it was simply premature greying.
All was well for months after that, until Allura’s mother fell ill.
“Welcome back, Princess Allura. Your hair looks striking,” Lotor greeted, looking slightly flustered at her appearance. “Was the truth elixir insufficient to the task?”
“Not at all,” Allura assured as she entered his home once again, Narti off somewhere and a mug of tea wafting softly next to an open book with complicated diagrams in it. “It was exactly the miracle I needed, but now I ask you for another.”
“Then ask away, but remember: all magic comes at a price.”
“For this, I would pay anything—”
“Be careful how you utter such words.”
“My mother is sick!” Allura burst, tears in her eyes only for her to swipe them angrily away, smearing on her cheeks. “My mother is ill, and nobody can cure it. Help me, Lotor, I don’t care if it turns me into a frog if it means my mother lives.”
Lotor’s expression softened and he placed a gentle hand at her elbow. “Ease, Allura. Ease. Tell me her symptoms. I’ve magic aplenty to spend on her cure.”
“Yes?”
Allura had been so worried, so anxious that perhaps this was not the kind of magic he could do.
“Yes. She will be alright, Allura.”
Allura sagged against him, and allowed him to comfort her, to settle her on the couch with a mug of tea of her own as she explained the onset, the symptoms, the nature of her mother’s illness. He listened steadily and took notes, and nodded at the end.
“I know of the cure that will work. Sit tight, Princess. You will carry it with you when you leave.”
And so she sat, and watched him, and found his silvery hair to be even prettier than the last time she viewed it.
“Thank you,” she said in his doorway, with a sachet of something faintly glowing in her hands and her purse much lighter. She rose up on tiptoe and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Thank you, Lotor.”
He stood dumbfounded at his own threshold, and she giggled before taking off, his catseyes on her as she left.
The next morning, her mother was cured overnight, and Allura found what she at first believed to be a rash all over her own skin. Except it wasn’t a rash, it was… markings. Crescents and circles and half moons and dots and waves, all bright pink, decorating her limbs and spine and two V’s on her cheeks.
She swore her ladies in waiting to secrecy and hid the marks beneath her clothes, all except those two facial markings which she passed off as “a fashionable new trend of face painting.” Everyone was too relieved over the queen’s recovered health to pay the princess’s antics much mind.
And all was well in the kingdom a second time. Allura felt almost like she was ready, when the third trouble arose.
War with their bordering country had long been something that loomed on the horizon. It seemed with their court cut in half, and the rumors of the queen’s illness and likely death spreading slowly their direction, they’d taken this as opportune timing.
Allura was not fearful of the outcome of a fair battle. Her father’s forces were powerful and well armed.
Allura was worried about their beast of a champion, a man more lion than human, undefeated no matter the number of foes he faced.
“You wish to craft a champion of your own?” Lotor echoed, and Allura nodded.
“My father has a loyal soldier I think would bear the burden, but I need something that will put him on equal footing to their lionman. Lotor,” Allura reached out, and placed her palm over his, “this I ask of you.”
Lotor sighed. “You make it terribly difficult to deny you anything.”
“Then do not deny me.”
“There will be a price.
“I know.”
And so Lotor gave her a greave imbued with magic that hummed all through it, and Allura asked her father’s soldier if he would bear its burden.
He did. It cost him his right arm, forever changed, but he did, and he won against their lionman, despite the difference in their sizes.
Allura paid the cost of the magic’s casting. Her hair, she could hide. Her markings, she could wave away.
But when her brown eyes turned bright near-glowing blue, the secret could be kept no longer.
The princess was using magic. The princess was consorting with witches.
And so the princess took off her crown and picked up as many coins as she could reasonably carry, and left.
And now there are three witches, stirring a cauldron in the woods.

If you love both VLD and Mass Effect and the killer OSTs of both, you can never quite separate both pieces of media from one another.
The ME nightclub music though? Each of those tracks can be matched pretty damn well to Lotor and each of his generals.
Acxa's character goes with the Dark Star Lounge theme, I think. Protagonist/redemption arc energy
Tumblr media
Narti's kinda theme song would be the Club Eternity theme
Tumblr media
Zethrid who can go batshit crazy couldn't be a better match with Lower Afterlife
Tumblr media
Ezor gets the most dance-y one, of course. The Purgatory theme
Tumblr media
For Lotor himself I'd settle on the Upper Afterlife track since the vibes are super steady

Narti's Not Blind / HC
alright so i've had this idea in my head for a while, right?
Narti's not actually blind. she sees through her cat, Kova (who Lotor so generously gave to her) but before that she could sorta see as well
now let's think about this logically.
if Narti is blind, then obviously she's going to have better hearing
this means that she's able to hear so well that she can actually hear/sense vibrations
this means that she can sorta see outlines and stuff
for example, she can hear people's heartbeats really well and she can sense the vibrations. because the heart is beating inside the ribs/body, the vibrations will stop because they get stopped by the walls of the body or whatever (ik im explaining this poorly lol)
anyway, this creates sort of an outline where the thing is
also with the ships, because there has to be a million noises, she can see walls and stuff
another way to think of this is Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts (if anyone has seen that)
you know how those scorpions can see heartbeats and that sort of creates that outline of people? that's sort of what i'm talking about
do with this information what you will, that's just my headcanon! Narti obviously couldn't see color then, so she was pretty shook when she started to see from Kova's eyes with all the colors and people.

While looking up Earth things on Pidge's laptop, Ezor learns about the wonderful game of "dodge ball". When she shows curiosity about it, the Earthlings decide to explain and even show the game, involving more people to make it fun.

Prince of the Stars | Chapter 1
An Outsider Seeking Answers
Out in the Thezonian system, there flew a huge dark blue, purple, and black futuristic space shuttle, but this wasn't just any space shuttle, this was the space shuttle of the one and only 'Prince Lotor, Son of Zarkon'. He was half Altean and half Galran, he had long white hair, and pale purple skin, along with pointed ears and the area in his eyes where the white should've been, was actually yellow.
He wore a suit that matched the shuttle's particular design, plus his suit also had a scabbard and sort of a half cape that flowed down from the belt at the waist line. He had a very skilled team of generals, their names being Axca, Zethrid, Ezor, and Narti.
"Prince Lotor, our fuel tanks are running low, we need to set down on this nearby planet and re-fuel." Axca replied to her leader.
"Take us in slowly, and turn on the invisibility shield generators, we don't want anybody seeing us." He cautioned, with a hint of worry in his voice, but he didn't let it show.
Axca and Ezor guided the shuttle into one of the docking bays and they all got out to re-fuel the ship. Axca opened the fuel hatch, while Ezor connected the fuel hose and started the re-fueling process. Lotor stood by with Narti and Zethrid, watching the skies for anything suspicious. Then, Lotor saw a small flash as something streaked across the sky in the distance. The prince perked up, and was about the draw his sword but Zethrid stopped him,
"It's just a shooting star, sir," she replied quietly, causing Lotor to calm down and relax.
"Sir, you seem to be a bit more on edge than usual, is there something wrong?" Zethrid asked, wanting to know what was wrong with the Galran prince.
"It's nothing, I'm fine..." he said, trying to hide a certain feeling that he just couldn't shake.
"Please tell us..." Lotor looked up to see both Axca and Ezor standing next to him, with worried looks on their faces.
Lotor sighed and relented, "I've felt that someone has been following us, but they're not Galra, and they're not one of the rebels either, it feels like, the one following us, isn't even meant to be in this reality."
"Prince Lotor, how do you know about this?" Axca asked, a bit bewildered, "I really don't know, I guess it just came to me?"
Then, all of a sudden, there was a flash of blinding yellow light, and all of them were immediately knocked to the ground. Lotor was the first one up, but it was only seconds before he was knocked back down into the dirt again, and surprise surprise, his sword was gone. He looked to the side to find Axca, Ezor, Zethrid, and Narti all laying unconscious beside him.
He waited for the figure to pass by again and got up, as he grabbed Axca's blaster, rolled out of the way, and shot in the figure's direction. A beam of weaponized light then shot towards the blaster's ray of weaponized light and they both collided, creating a shock wave that nearly took down the invisibility shield generators.
The man set down a few feet away from Lotor, his generals, and the ship. Lotor kept his guard up, though he noticed something off about the man. He had blue shaggy hair and a red tattoo across his right eye, and wore a dark blue hood with a pair of cargo pants, boots, and a long sleeved shirt with a heart design lining the sleeves, but he had not one single burn mark on his body, neither was there a single singe mark anywhere on his clothes.
How, the heat that was surrounding him or whatever that was should've burned him to ashes?!
It's because I'm not from this reality, I'm actually a human who uses magic.
What? Who are you, where are you?
I'm right in front of you... just look up.
Lotor looked up and saw the man was now just mere feet from him. He charged the blaster again and aimed straight for the man's face, who raised his hands in surrender.
"Whoa there, easy now. I'm not here to cause you any trouble, I just need to talk to you alone."
"Why would I want to talk to someone that I don't know, much less someone who is not even from this reality?" Lotor replied with a confused look.
"Because you need me, there is something happening right now, that you wouldn't have even thought of, or thought could even happen." The man replied back as he closed his eyes and a blue energy began to glow brightly and brought out the very object that Lotor so desperately needed right now, which was his sword.
The prince gripped the blaster even tighter in his hands, readying himself for a fight, but the man did the exact opposite. The sword levitated over to Lotor and as it fell at the Prince's feet, he looked up at the man now standing before him. Prince Lotor thought about what the blue haired man had just said to him and skeptically picked up the sword, keeping his eyes locked with the other man's As Lotor stood up, he sheathed his sword and walked over to his unconscious generals, checking them all for injuries, constantly looking back at the man, who remained in the exact same spot with a now curious expression on his face, just watching the Prince. Lotor simply ignored him and continued to check Axca, Ezor, Zethrid, and Narti for injuries.
"If your looking for any injuries on them, there are none, I made sure of that, and I know that may sound ironic, but it's not the way it looks." The bluenette spoke up with a very gentle like voice now.
"*groans* Lotor what's going on, and who's that?" Ezor mumbled groggily, rubbing her head as she slowly sat up.
"Hey! Who are you?! What are you doing here?!" Zethrid exclaimed as she snarled at the young man standing mere feet away from the ship that was still re-fueling.
"Prince Lotor, who is this guy? What does he want with us?" Axca asked, looking towards Lotor. "I apologize for knocking you out like that, but I needed some time to talk with Lotor here, plus I would like to ask permission to board your space shuttle, that is, if you'll let me?"
"No way! We don't even know you!" Zethrid exclaimed in an angry tone, "That's enough Zethrid." Lotor warned.
"I'm not sure about this..." Axca stated, looking at Lotor with concern, who looked back at her with the same concerned look on his face. He didn't know who this guy was, but now he felt like there was something way bigger on the horizon and this guy  was their only chance at finding out what it was, and actually having a chance at beating it.
"Alright, but you will remain in cuffs until I feel you can be trusted on the ship." Lotor said with a very commanding and stern voice.
The man simply nodded and said, "Yes sir," as he held out his hands and allowed Ezor to cuff him. A beeping noise on her holographic wrist band alerted Axca to the ship that was finished re-fueling. She disconnected the hose, placed it back in its proper positioning, and joined Lotor and the others on the bay area of the ship as it took off.
Down in the ship's holding cargo bay area, Axca was ordered to stay with the man that they'd agreed to allow aboard their ship. He wasn't doing much, just sitting there, looking around.
"Why do you want to speak with Prince Lotor?" Axca asked with a stern voice, and cold eyes piercing into his dark brown ones as the man sat forward to answer the question.
"I'm afraid I can't personally speak with you on the matter, I need to talk to him about it and then he can debrief you on the situation." He said as he sat back in the chair, hands still restrained. A few minutes later, Lotor came down into the cargo bay area with two armed guards at his side. They both approached the man, each of them roughly grabbing one of his arms, restraining him even further.
"First of all, I need to know your name if your going to be on my ship." Prince Lotor said, as he caressed the man's cheek with one of his clawed fingers.
"Alright now, that won't be necessary, the name's Jellal Fernandes," The man answered in a calm tone, knowing that if he so much as even tried to escape, he would have a serious life threatening injury, "I'm from Fairy Tail, it's a magical guild in a small town called Magnolia located in a larger kingdom known as Fiore."
"... I'm listening..." Lotor replied skeptically, letting go of Jellal's face, motioning for the guards to loosen their grip on Jellal slightly.
Jellal sighed as he continued explaining, "Something's happened in my reality which somehow lead me to this reality and our guild master Mokarov said that I had to speak with you because you would have some very useful information on what's going on here."
Axca couldn't help but butt in, "Well then, if you have to speak to Prince Lotor so badly, will you please explain to us what this 'something' looked like?"
Jellal sighed once more, trying not to let his frustration show that was now starting to rear it's head, "Well, obviously since your being so stubborn, I'll just have to tell you all. It looked like the sky was trying to split open, and it was pure white inside, yet I could see another world on the other side, but then I felt something, something different from what I usually feel back in my world, and to be honest, I still feel it right now. It's like some sort of energy source that I can't quite put my finger on."
"Energy source you say? I think I have the answer to your predicament." Lotor said as he signaled the guards to bring Jellal up to the bridge where the energy storage rooms were, with Axca, Ezor, and Zethrid in tow.

I guess I should discuss the AU that's been rattling around in my brain in a little more detail, rather than just making shitposts about it. So here's the basic gist of it:
We all know there was one surviving universe at the end of Honerva's rampage in VLD's (pretty bad) finale before everything was restored to normal- but could it really survive everything that happened around it unscathed?
The answer is no. Of course it's no.
In a twist of irony, given Honerva's goals, Lotor is deleted from a universe that would have otherwise been very close to the canon universe as we know it- which is... kind of a problem, actually. As in 'the universe could fall apart if this event doesn't happen' problem. But don't worry. The cosmic forces of the universe has a stopgap measure of its own in place to protect itself.
After all, what could go wrong with the universe using one half-Galra to replace another?
Keith is born to Zarkon and Honerva in Lotor's place. He's always felt out of place in a way that simply only being half-Galra can't quite explain. He has a strong sensitivity to quintessence, and knows from a young age that his father and the witch that stands by his side are corrupted.
He knows he's corrupted too. he can hear things that are not him whispering in his head sometimes, telling him things. he ignores them.
(this is sometimes harder than he would like)
(on very rare occasions he hears a different voice from the rabble- one that calmly tells him not to do things. he listens to this one a little more.)
He grows up loathing his father- it's a mutual feeling. He knows that even before he was born, his mother loathed him as well. He grows up with no strong connection to their either side of his heritage.
(perhaps honerva subconsciously realized the child she was carrying was not her own)
He breaks away from the Empire on his own at an early age- he knows in his bones this is wrong, and wants no part in it. He ends up safeguarding a pocket of space from the Empire, but his motives remain erratic and he stays aloof from the other forces against the Empire, so he's not exactly trusted by them.
After all, he's not exactly not still a part of the Empire himself. Zarkon's not going to let his only heir walk away that easily.
He still ends up meeting Acxa, Narti, Ezor and Zethrid.
He's born with the Altean talent of shapeshifting- though he's better at it than most. He wears three faces- the Galran prince, the Altean wanderer, and then a third face, one of a race he has never seen before, yet feels oddly familiar to him.
(Sometimes it feels more natural than the one he was born with.)
He later learns of a planet called Earth, and its people known as humans, who so resemble his third face- and the blue lion with them. He decides to keep an eye on the planet with the excuse of trying to protect the lion... which is surely the only reason he feels such a strong draw to this otherwise backwater planet.
Which is great, because it turns out replacing Lotor with Keith created another problem the universe has to deal with- there isn't a Keith anymore to pilot the red lion.
He just kind of gets swept up in everything when the blue lion awakens, and before he knows it, he's on the Castle of Lions, and Princess Allura of all people is telling him he's a paladin. They all seem to think he's human.
Somehow, he senses it would be a very, very bad idea to tell them all he's actually Zarkon's son.
Great job Keith. You signed up for the universe's most stressful double life. I'm sure this is going to work out real well.
(I am lying.)
