Imagine this as some kind of AU where either Hisui was never the bad guy or he somehow has a redemption arc in S2 Everybody Lives scenario so he’s on the side of the good guys but also the Slate is still around and the Kings all still have their powers. That being the case Shiro is still immortal, which comes in surprisingly handy during major emergencies. He’s generally not the one dealing with the major emergencies of course, that’s usually Munakata’s job, but Shiro does step in when needed if no one else is around or if like his clan or Ashinaka was in danger.

One day he’s spending an afternoon talking with Hisui and they’re like out in public at a park or something. Suddenly this Strain shows up and starts threatening to blow people up with their powers, it’s all chaos and screaming. Hisui starts to glow Green and stand but Shiro is like I’ll handle this, rushing right into danger. Imagine there’s this big explosion that Hisui is able to somewhat protect the bystanders from with his powers but he doesn’t see Shiro and he’s starting to get nervous. A moment later Shiro shows up with the unconscious Strain, waving as he’s like no problem no problem. Hisui gets this dissatisfied look as S4 finally shows up to handle the cleanup.

In the aftermath Hisui and Shiro are resting on a bench together and Hisui admits he’s rather irritated that Shiro put himself in danger that way, even though he knows Shiro’s basically immortal. Shiro just waves a hand breezily all that’s exactly why I can put myself in danger and Hisui says that isn’t acceptable. Shiro’s all what and Hisui calmly says even though he is aware of Shiro’s immortality he doesn’t find Shiro putting himself in such situations to be acceptable. Even though Shiro’s immortal his body can still be wounded and he made Hisui very worried. Shiro looks surprised and then he smiles softly all ‘ah, you were worried.’ Hisui wonders if it’s unnatural that he should be worried and Shiro says no, no that’s something very natural actually, and promises to be a little more careful with himself next time.

The reconciliation between silver and green had been hard enough for most to understand, the slow transition to friends and then more had been even harder, even for those caught in the flow of it. However, even stranger to all but the two that knew them best, was the fact that whenever they were in the same room, with all crowns – metaphorical or otherwise – set aside, they would be cuddled together. It didn’t matter who was there to witness it, or that it could be seen as a weakness in the eyes of some. When asked about it Shiro would smile, completely serene, and Nagare would change the subject but make no effort to move away from his partner. It was only Kuroh and Iwafune who would see the way the most ancient of kings who had been alone for decades leant into the slightest touch, or how, the king who had been everywhere all at once revelled in being anchored to one place.

This is her headcanon about her favourite K ship : Fem!Shiro x Nagare

She wrote me their whole story and it’s honestly very cute and warm, if you want to read it and understand the gift better, you can read it under the cut !

First Meeting • Remember the scene where Shiro looked up at the bird the moment she interefered the battle between Yukari and Kuroh. That's how they met. With Shiro's face so serious while Nagare grinning in his wheelchair in a dark surrounding

Rejection • Episode 5. Ken. Shiro rejected Nagare's proposal to join him in his world of change. Shiro sitting on the rooftop oh so serious while Nagare smirked at the other line, saying "I will take the slates by force"

War of their Final Battle • At the last episode where Shiro and Nagare had a face off together. Shiro trying protect herself with her umbrella from Nagare's electrifying punches. They had a flash of memory of them, being with their clansmen as they ate together in the table.

Hope and Survival • After the Slates is destroyed and Shiro goes back to her original body, Hakumaitou goes back down to JUNGLE HQ to check out the damage and just investigate the place. They're shock to see Nagare somehow lived along with Nagare. They found them bruised and injured from the fall of the debris. Nagare looked up to Shiro with a shock face, bleeding while Shiro is also shock too, looking down at him.

Second Chance • Nagare and Iwa-san are hospitalized and their clansmen is glad to see them. Unfortunately, Munakata with his clansmen was about to make arrest on JUNGLE, mainly Nagare. Before they do so, however, Shiro intervened under the shock of their previous enemy. She insisted to make peace and she literally argued Scepter 4 to give them a chance for a new home and new life, promising them that they will change, maybe convincing the school to let the JUNGLE live in the dorm in another room on the island.

Awkward • Hakumaitou continues to check on them, usually Shiro with Neko or Kuroh to make sure she is safe. Nagare and Shiro had awkward moments like doesn't know which one of them will talk while having a funny face, sitting across each other in the table while the clansmen watched with a blank expression

Friends • Similar to the previous scene but with Nagare having a small smile on his face while Shiro is grinning like a goof XD

A Lingering Feeling • They had a weird expression, looking away each other, not understanding why they felt a warm feeling in their chest, holding it whenever they are together

Realization • Nagare probably had no idea he was in love with her until he asked Iwa-san about it, sitting together in the living while Iwa-san drank some beer. Iwa-san even choked on his drink when he heard this and their conversations are like: "Well, uh, Nagare. Sounds to me like you have a crush on the silver king." He also added. "You should tell her." With a warm smile. Nagare had a scared look on his face because he is afraid to say what he felt. He looked down at his lap for a moment before speaking up. "No. I think it's best to keep these feelings hidden." Shiro found out that she has feelings for Nagare when Kukuri noticed her being nervous with Nagare old the time and told her that she liked him. Shiro is like: (￣ω￣)... (⊙_⊙)

Confession • Sitting on the couch together for a while, half paying attention to the TV while being nervous for some reason, Shiro turned to him with her cheeks dusted a light pink, with her next words. "I need to tell you something." Outside, Nagare is calm, inside, he is panicking as he asked. "Yes?" Those three words came out from Shiro's mouth change their lives together.

Feelings • Nagare's face was on fire as he and Shiro held hands, sitting on the couch, with Shiro pecking him on his cheek. Their feelings became mutual after the confession.

Moments • Shiro is 5'8" while Nagare is 5'9". If Shiro wore heals, she's taller than the poor boi XD. They went on a date with Shiro dragging Nagare into the city, doing the classic couple dates. Poor Nagare ends up getting a sunburn because he's so pale and hasn't seen the sun for years. Their moments end with Shiro treating his sunburn

Years Went By • Years came by and Shiro and Nagare's bond strengthened, even their clans are in good terms. Nagare has more emotion and Shiro couldn't be more happier. Nagare was holding a small box in his hand, hinting that he'll propose to her.

Matrimony • Nagare and Shiro had a wedding in a chapel, congratulating the couple. This is what there wedding looks like: Nagare and Shiro kissed with flower petals falling on them... with Iwa-san crying in the background for his zombie son.

Two Unborn • Shiro announces to Nagare that she's pregnant with twins. Nagare is so happy that he fainted with a red face LOL

The Little Hope and Miracle • Their twins are born crying. Shiro and Nagare held them as his wife laid in the hospital bed. They looked like him and for the first time, a tear fell from his eye as Shiro caressed his cheek while holding their twins, boy and girl. Kazuki and Kiseki.

Another One? • The four year old twins hugging Shiro, who has a big belly, expecting another child as Nagare hugged behind her. Her twins will say "I'm a big brother/big sister now!"

Angel • A face of an angel with silver hair like her mother, Klaudia was being surrounded by her family in a crib, her sibling twins holding her stuffed toys while Shiro and Nagare watched with smiles on their faces

Love • Group family hug with JUNGLE and Hakumaitou, with hearts on the background

Family • A family picture with Klaudia 5 year old in the middle, the 9 year old twins by her side, their parents behind them, hugging them, with JUNGLE and Hakumaitou behind the couple as well

Home • Their new home behind them, as the dorm has been updated into an apartment or condo. The scene was the two opposing clans eating at the dinner table happily, with the three addition with them and live happily ever after

Imagine AU where Shiro finds the Slate but it turns out that there’s like some kind of cult attached to it, who sacrifice people to the ‘spirit’ of the Slate in order to be protected from the outside world. Shiro is a researcher who’s heard about this group, that they own this fragment of rock that’s said to give people special powers, and he wants to find out more to see if this can be harnessed for the greater good. He’s heard that the people in the village around where the Slate is rumored to exist are insular but he didn’t think that would be so much of a problem, just be friendly and it’s fine. At first it seems like that worked well enough too, he’s welcomed into the village and given food and a nice warm place to sleep. 

Except it turns out his food was drugged and he wakes up tied to this fragment of the Slate, intended to be used as a sacrifice to its power. Shiro’s like wait a second I think there was a misunderstanding but the people just say an outsider who knows about the Slate deserves to be sacrificed. Unfortunately the ritual is interrupted by a parrot landing in the magic circle, the next thing Shiro knows a green-haired man in white clothes is standing before him looking curious and the Slate has disappeared. The villagers try to attack the man but he just looks at them and they all disappear on the spot. It turns out Hisui was one of seven ‘Kings’ trapped in pieces of the Slate and somehow the ritual has led him to be bound to Shiro. Shiro is all excuse me what does ‘bound’ mean and Hisui gives a rare smile as he says he is excited to learn more about the outside world, he looks forward to Shiro teaching him.

So Hisui being released has led to instability in the country and now the two of them have to like go on a journey together to find the other pieces of the Slate and awaken them (this all feels oddly familiar to Shiro, who has vague memories of the village he grew up in having a legend about a magic piece of rock and the long-haired spirit who’s supposed to have resided there and may have possibly been bound in the body of an orphaned child but that’s silly, surely just a tale to scare children). The parrot that interrupted the ritual was also affected by it and Hisui can inhabit its body, so imagine a lot of the time as they travel he’s sitting on Shiro’s shoulder in parrot form. He doesn’t so much flirt as he seems unaware of a lot of social norms and is very curious for Shiro to enlighten him, always asking things and not realizing that some of these may be very embarrassing. Shiro is nervous at first but he starts to find that this isn’t so bad of an arrangement, Hisui is an intriguing person — though it would be easier if his eyes weren’t so striking and if he wasn’t constantly so close, because Shiro is becoming entranced and that can’t be good, right.

May I have a 5 sentence drabble request of NagaShiro + the aftermath where Shiro got rescued from getting kidnapped by Nagare's previous enemy when he used to be the Green King... and hi again, it's been two years 😆

Nagare knows better than anyone that Shiro is far from fragile, and yet that is the word that lingers in the forefront of his mind as he enters the room where his partner had been settled. Shiro looks better than he did earlier, the blood and filth from where he had clearly given his captors a hard time and paid for it had been washed, and some of the damage is hidden now by bandages that seem to have more colour than his skin. It doesn’t hide the bruises, purple and black, yellow and green, or the abrasions, and as Nagare reaches the side of the bed, reaching out to ghost a finger over a particularly dark bruise, golden eyes blink open and despite everything Shiro smiles at him.

“Nagare…”

“I’m sorry.” Apologies still don’t come easy to him, and Shiro is the only one that would hear such words openly from his lips. But, right now they drip out, blood from a wound that can’t be seen and won’t heal until Shiro is well again, and those that had taken him and hurt him, all to get at Nagare have been dealt with. Shiro blinks, shifts and grimaces, and Nagare flinches and knows the movement has been noticed when those gold eyes narrow.

“This wasn’t your fault.”

“Yes, it was. It was my games, my actions that sent them after you,” Nagare and Shiro have made a complicated peace with the past, choosing the future over old scars and wrongs. Yet, the past has ever been reluctant to let them go. “They should have come for me.” They will now, Nagare added privately, he and the others had made sure of that. He might not be a King anymore, but he had allies and means to get the message across, and with Shiro on the line he had used everything he had it his disposal.

“Then we would still be in this situation,” Shiro murmured. “One of us injured in bed, and the other heavy with guilt. No matter, which way you play the game, the odds were against us this time and that’s not your fault or mine, we were…complacent.”

“This wasn’t a game,” Nagare spat, the word sour in his mouth, because he had played those kinds of games once. Revelled in them even, and Shiro knew that…and was forgiving him.

“No, it wasn’t,” Shiro agrees, voice mild, as though they weren’t talking about the fact that he had been kidnapped and injured. As though his face didn’t pinch as he shifted so that he could reach out and tangle his fingers with Nagare, who was startled to realise he was shaking, or perhaps they both were, because Shiro’s grip was almost painful in it’s intensity. “But, it also wasn’t your fault.”

“But…”

“And even if it was,” Shiro cut across him, and Nagare scowled – he had never liked being interrupted, but there was a sternness now in Shiro’s expression. A demand for him to listen to what he was saying, and take in the words. “Even if it was your fault… You were the one that came for me. It was your voice I heard first. And Nagare?” He paused, waiting for Nagare to meet his gaze. “That makes all the difference, so thank you.”

I am and I have always been !!  (*´▽`*) I do have to admit that when I first made this blog I was very much focused on Kuroshiro, however that began to shift once I started to watch Return of Kings and got to know Nagare. And then I just fell in love with Shiro and Nagare and as soon as I realised there were other people shipping it did I jump completely on the train !
