at some point in the next month and a half i'm going to go into overdrive working on my paper and i Sincerely apologize to the person of interest fandom for the things that are going to come out of my mouth

like there's a lot to be said about the flaws in post-9/11 american media and the way that tonal shift has never truly gone away, and person of interest has been a product of its time A Few Too Many Times to avoid being more deeply analyzed in that regard. but that does mean acknowledging and understanding the chomsky-developed Us vs. Them narrative structure and the way they fell into bloodsworth-lugo's 9/11 project trap. it also means understanding the reasons behind their mistreatment of carter, which is a touchy subject for a lot of people, and oh motherfucker do i have thoughts on that one.

#the way they made an vigilante procedural driven by 9/11 espousing themes of governmental distrust & unsafe technology practices #and managed to coincide w/ the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. the boston marathon bombings. The worst decision anyone ever made in Bones (2005) was when Hodgins found the thumb drive with all the NSA info on it and instead of leaking it, he gAVE IT TO BOOTH... WHO WORKS FOR THE FBI?! 10 seasons of Hodgins radiating ACAB energy, down the toilet. I am FURIOUS.

Reality Winner did years in prison not for slander or lying, nope, we see that liars get to stay in congress and have news channels, in the USA lying is never a crime unless you're under oath...slander or libel is a tort (i.e. grounds for a lawsuit) but never a jailable offense.

Reality Winner was imprisoned for years because she told the truth, that Trump and Russia hacked election machines and forged the vote total for the 2016 election, it wasn't just some bad facebook memes via cambridge analytica, they literally stole the votes needed, Trump was asking for that help again in 2020 but did not receive it

Again, for the record, Dubya stole his election via a stacked supreme court. Trump also stole his election via his friends in the KGB.

In 2018, she was given the longest prison sentence ever imposed for an unauthorized release of government information to the media[7] after she leaked an intelligence report about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections.[8] She was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison.[9]

On June 3, 2017, while employed by the military contractor Pluribus International Corporation, Winner was arrested on suspicion of leaking an intelligence report about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections from the National Security Agency (NSA) to the news website The Intercept. The report indicated that Russian hackers accessed voter registration polls in the United States with an email phishing operation,[10] though it was unclear whether any changes had been made.
