I realize that this manhwa is supposed to be about Lyrica/Lily growing up in the palace as the adopted princess but I wish we got to see more of her mom’s relationship with the emperor. They are both so freaking hot and interesting characters. And the implied sexual chemistry is so potent. Will they really be able to go their separate ways after the contract ends???

Yes, of course it’s another just-a-contract-marriage-he/she-would-never-love-me story. But from the POV of the FL’s daughter!!! The misunderstandings!?! and super cute baby-doing-baby-things scenes!??!! And the writing is quite believable for the MC’s age without being overly childish!!!
Summary
Lilyca is a girl from the slums with (unfortunately) a pretty abusive mother ;w; who blames Lilyca for their misfortune since they’re ex-nobility. But one day, her mum suddenly wakes up and is super nice?!? And suddenly gets into a (secret) contract marriage with the ~tyrant emperor~ so now Lilyca’s a PRINCESS!!??!!
Though it’s mainly from Lilyca’s POV, they do occasionally have snippets of narration showing the POV of the other adults who interact with Lilyca as well. Also, from all the details given so far, I’m pretty sure the mother is an (ex-villainess) regressor. Now that she’s been given a second chance, she’s gonna actually love her daughter ;w;

Synopsis: Lilica and her mother, a disgraced noble turned abusive alcoholic, live miserably in the slums. But everything changes when one day her mother wakes up, declaring “I must meet hothead Emperor!”From then Lilica’s life changes completely, the biggest change being her mother who begins to act different, stranger, and more loving.
My Thoughts (small spoilers!): This one is really cute! Lilica is a very sweet, lovable, smart, and adorable character. Ignoring how her mother behaved before returning, the mother-daughter relationship is extremely sweet; Lilica’s mother tried very hard to rebuild Lilica’s trust in her. Their relationship with the emperor and his family is also extremely adorable. The art style is amazing! The slight roughness of the lines combined with the cute vibrant color pallet and use of texture, is captivating.
