whoops I think I accidentally sent a question but without the question. anyway I was just trying to ask about the little guys (the forgotten)
Always down to talk about My Boys
My writer’s block has been really bad lately, but recently I’ve been mulling over some ideas again, specifically about Lionel. I feel like I could be doing some more interesting things with him. He’s the point of view character and the narrator but he often feels like a bit of a passive character, like a vessel for other people’s stories. I might lean into that and have him develop enough to start claiming his own agency. And I’ve been thinking about the plot trajectory in general. Im trying not to worry about that and just WRITE but in the words of Steve Coogan in Hamlet 2

hit 5k words on the shameless soulmates au draft I'm so fucking pumped y'all
I promised a preview so here's the beginning, I hope you enjoy it
—————
For as long as Ian could remember, there was a golden thread around his sister’s wrist. The same swirls were mirrored on her best friend, who also had a bold red pattern along her collarbone to match her boyfriend. Ian had seen all of those marks for years now, knew the story about how Fiona and Veronica just knew they’d be friends for life. How Vee and Kev weren’t legally married but they might as well be. They were perfect together.
He’d also seen the blue lines along Frank’s side when his father was passed out half-naked and drunk on the kitchen floor; vaguely recalled Monica flashing them all at breakfast one time to show off her own matching marks in the middle of a screaming match with her husband. Ian didn’t remember what they were fighting about—it never mattered, really, one argument turning into another into another—but something about how they were meant for each other, how Frank needed to leave that prissy bitch who can’t even handle a line of coke. Ian knew how bad both of his parents could be on their own, but how together they were even worse.
Soulmates could cut both ways. It was one of the earliest things he learned.
On Ian’s left ankle, he had an orange mark like a sunburst that matched Lip—his big brother, his best friend. Fiona used to tell them how when Ian was still a toddler, she showed Lip how to hold him. Lip in Fiona’s lap, Ian in Lip’s. Then Ian cried, and Lip knew he was hungry just like that—Fiona said that was when she saw their marks solidify, the color slowly spreading across like a sunset.
“I barely knew anything about soulmates back then,” she’d told them once over a shared bottle of beer, the three of them passing it back and forth as they sat on the couch. Some stupid reality dating show played on the TV, which was how they'd gotten onto the topic in the first place. “Frank and Monica ain’t exactly the picture of what you want outta romance, after all. But I heard some of the kids at school talk about it—brothers and sisters being your first soulmates.” She didn’t have a mark to match any of her kids, as she called them all, but it didn’t matter. Fiona was more like a mom to them than a big sister, anyway.
Ian could feel the faint trace of another mark wrapping around his left wrist, too. Another along his right thigh. Neither had filled in by the time he turned fifteen. Not that he minded—not that it mattered—because who gave a fuck about him besides his family? As long as he could remember, it’d been him and Lip against the world, helping Fiona with each successive younger sibling. Gallaghers took care of their own, after all. They weren’t the only ones to have matching marks, either; Debbie and Carl had them, too, splashes of dark green down the backs of their right legs. Liam of course was still too young for his marks to show up yet, but it wouldn’t be long now.
Fiona always said that romantic marks were bullshit, and Ian found himself agreeing with that more and more. Hell, the only people he knew that had made it work were Kev and Vee, and they seemed to be the exception to the rule. But part of him couldn’t help wondering who his other marks were a match for. He might be a jaded South Side hood rat, but fuck, didn’t everyone wonder now and again? A guy couldn’t help being curious about this sort of thing.
They always did say be careful what you wished for.

Bond is also the Mike Hammer of the toffs, and the shift from Queensbury rules to neo-thuggery is a response to fear - the fear that Great Britain is no longer so strong that she can afford to lose all but the last battles on the playing fields of Eton. She is required to think in the realpolitik terms once left to all those lesser breeds without the Law. James Bond is England's 'para' and if duty called he'd clamp the electrodes to Milady's tender titties quicker than you can say 'Victoria Regina'.

soemtimes I wish someone who isnt a romantic partner would have cared for Ian enough. like ofc mickey cares immensely and I don't wanna discredit the good he does for Ian. But there are so many things in Ian's life where he needed care and love and reassurance from someone he is not romantically involved with.
being groomed from a young age, and nobody cared enough to see what's going on with kash, and when lip did, he did nothing. when Fiona and Jimmy Steve found out Ian was sleeping with Ned, nobody cared enough about Ian to help him. Instead it was all about Jimmy Steve and his man baby feelings about his dad being queer.
when Ian was crying about the aftermath of s3ep6 and s3ep9, Frank was heading a gay rights movement purely for his own gain, while Ian's siblings feasted on a gift basket sent to their house. Nobody wondered where Ian was, so he was sobbing in his bed, alone.
when Ian ran away to the army, his entire family just accepted it, the fucking Milkoviches were more worried about Ian than his own family.
when in s6 Ian doesnt know what to do with himself, nobody cares enough to show him that his life isnt over bc of his diagnosis. nobody cares enough to tell Ian that he still has options, that he can survive.
when Ian is heartbroken, nobody cares enough about it to tell him anything but "good riddance".
when Ian has a crisis of faith and loses himself in religion and mania, nobody cares about him enough to talk to him until its to late. nobody sees him enough to know if he is taking his meds.
In the Gallagher household Ian doesn't exist. Fiona and Lip are bonding and supporting each other (no matter how angry and misguided sometimes) in their role as the eldest. Debbie and Carl are looking out for each other, and Fiona and Lip always have an eye on them bc they're younger. Liam gets raised by everyone. But Ian just kind of floats around in the void, and while they all may love him, they don't notice him.
Lip and Ian are close, but they aren't caring for each other properly.
As long as Ian contributes to the squirrel fund and doesnt make a fuss, they dont see him.
And once his mental state gets bad they all sit around wondering why they didnt catch it sooner. But they never look.
I just wish that someone would see Ian Gallagher.

I’m sorry I NEED a blurb on Ronan and Mickeys little bond and Lip being jealous
the sweetest little bond between the two, and the most unlikely. i feel by the time ronan and mia come around, mickey and ian are done with babies so maybe that's how it starts? mickey offers to watch ronan while the others are in school, and you and lip are working.
your soft spoken, sweet, sensitive little boy with... mickey??? and they get along???
like ronan enjoys seeing mickey.
"there's my little guy. what's up, ro? you bring those legos today?"
and ronan is grinning ear to ear, practically bouncing towards mickey with his newest little lego set for them to put together.
to say lip is jealous is an understatement. like mickey and ronan bonding? building legos? lip comes home one day with a little lego set, gives it to ronan and he's soooo excited. before lip can even suggest that they build it together ro goes, "i can't wait to build this with uncle mickey!" and lip is shattered.

Tbh I am completely obsessed with the idea of Fiona Gallagher x fem! Milkovich reader
fiona gallagher x fem!milkovich!reader headcanons
a/n: i'm back to writing <3 thanks to you all for sticking around during my weird hiatus
warnings: kissing/making out, this is all fluffy and silly sorry, i also didn't proofread at all, sorry again, this is not very good at all but i'm a little rusty :/
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mickey was so certain that he was the only gay sibling
he didn't expect it from you at all, even though you were sure you made it obvious
when you told him, the first thing that came out of his mouth was a sarcastic remark about there only being room for one gay person in the family
but in reality, he was happy to not be alone
when mickey and ian started dating, you'd cross paths with ian quite often
and you grew to really like him, witnessing him bring mickey out of his shell
around the same time, you met fiona by chance at the alibi
it just so happened that fiona's best friend worked at the bar you met your friends at that night
and when fiona stopped by to see v, she was immediately distracted by you
luckily for her, the feeling was mutual
and she brought you home that night, planting a kiss to your lips when you finally got back to the gallagher house
mickey and ian walk downstairs, and it's impossible to hear them over your focus on kissing fiona
"y/n?"
your brother just stares blankly as he realizes what's happening
"what are you doing here?" you mutter in response to his confusion
"i'm dating ian."
"wait, y/n, how do you know mickey?" fiona had asked, still confused by the situation
"he's my brother," you had said, deadpan
after a few seconds, the whole room had erupted in laughter
bc the whole thing was just so ridiculous
but you and fiona kept seeing each other, and eventually officially started dating
at which point, you started running into mickey at the gallagher house a lot
always teasing him about how much he likes ian
but he would CLOCK you back about fiona 😭
fiona already liked mickey, but when she found out you were related she liked him even more
you're still her favorite though <3
it's refreshing for fiona to have happy relationships surrounding her
she's so grateful to be able to provide that for you too
she's obsessed with taking you on dates, even if it's just going to the park for a walk or to visit kev and v at the alibi
she likes to show you she cares in every way she can
she never wants you to feel unappreciated or unwanted, her biggest fear is making you feel the way she did in her past
she's just overall an amazing girlfriend
and your relationship brought you a new friendship with ian and a stronger bond with your brother

Tegan missed Nyssa a lot and felt as though Turlough had a bond with the Doctor that she wasn't company to. (Short story: Qualia)
Early Gallifreyans worshipped one of their two moons (Pazithi Gallifreya) as a virgin goddess. (Novel: Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible)

There are roughly one million versions of Clara Oswald according to the Encyclopaedia Gallifreya. (Short story: Citation Needed)
The Master tried to interfere with the Fifth Doctor’s regeneration into his Sixth, but the Doctor had psychically called out to his former companions (Nyssa, Tegan, Turlough, etc etc), who convinced him to ignore the Master and helped him regenerate. (Audio: Winter; Television: The Caves of Androzani)
The Doctor keeps a copy of Every Gallifreyan Child's Pop-Up Book of Nasty Creatures From Other Dimensions in the TARDIS library. It pops up in four dimensions. (Novel: All-Consuming Fire)
The Fifth Doctor talked so much about River Song after meeting and becoming absolutely enamored with her that Tegan pushed him against the wall and demanded that he stop. (Audio: Expiry Dating)
The Seventh Doctor met Katarina as a young girl. He gave her family enough gold to feed them for a year. (Short story: An Unfulfilled Dream)
In 1969, a journalist named Chrissie Allen did an article on Amelia Williams. If someone accesses the Eye of Harmony without the Rod, Sash, or Great Key of Rassilon, they will be turned inside out and killed. (Audio: Insurgency)
A young Magnus, who would one day become the War Chief, once tried to drain Artron energy out of a sphere retrieved from the time vortex. He was opposed by the First Doctor, referred to as "Thete," who set the energy free after discovering it was alive. This was considered to be their "falling out" moment. (Comic: Flashback)
The Fifth Doctor has tried to sacrifice himself so often that Nyssa can recognize his blank face as an I'm-about-to-sacrifice-myself face. (Audio: The Darkening Eye)
Each incarnation of the Doctor thinks that they make their own identity, but in reality, the TARDIS knows that their travels are never "accidental." For example, she could have easily returned to 1960s London when the First Doctor was trying to drop off Barbara and Ian, but she said she thought it was more important that he have fun and learn from his human companions who the Doctor actually was. (Short story: What the TARDIS thought of "Time Lord Victorious")
The Doctor's TARDIS bedroom (at least at the time of his Fifth incarnation) had an original Jackson Pollock on the door. It had a four poster bed with awnings, silk sheets, and a toy rabbit. The Fifth Doctor would hang his coat up with a Mickey Mouse hanger and sleep in question mark patterned pajamas. (Novel: Divided Loyalties)

Hi Michelle!! Let's try #43 for the new Drabble challenge
#43. "pick up lines only work when i'm drunk."
"ian. are you listening to me?"
"mhm."
"...i'm thinking of leaving tami and the kids so i can ride off into the sunset with joaquin. thoughts?"
"sounds good," ian says vaguely, eyes glued to the dark-haired man sitting at the bar. "i'm sure she'll understand."
"man, you've got it bad." lip shakes his head, amused. "just go over and talk to him."
ian doesn't even turn his head. "who?"
lip rolls his eyes. "the guy you've been staring at for the past hour, who looks like he's part of a biker gang and one second away from smashing a bottle over someone's head. "
"i haven't been staring," ian says defensively, finally peeling his eyes away from the bar. "casually looking, maybe. at his tattoos. and his leather jacket. and his ass."
"and here i thought you wanted to catch up with your dear ol' brother." lip sighs. "how naive was i to think we could have family bonding time."
ian sighs. "grow up lip, we're in a gay bar. the only reason i called you and not carl is because for some reason he manages to pull more guys than me and well, you're... you."
"what the hell is that supposed to mean?" lip asks, slightly offended. "are you saying gay men don't find me attractive?"
"are you saying you want men to hit on you?"
lip shrugs. "i'm just saying, if i really tried, i can definitely pull a dude. y'know, hypothetically speaking, of course."
"okay, mr. i'm-ninety-six-percent-straight," ian snorts. "so, you think i should go and straight up flirt with him? or should i buy him a drink first? or maybe wait for him to come to me?"
"i think you should walk out the door and douse yourself in holy water because homosexuality is a sin and you're going to hell," lip replies solemnly.
"you're no help," ian sighs, sliding out of the booth. "i should've brought carl instead."
"okay, now i'm offended."
ian waves him off and struts over to his target at the bar, tapping the man on the shoulder.
"i think," he starts to say, leaning up against the counter, "you owe me a drink."
the man raises his pierced brow. looks ian up and down and smirks. "do i now."
"because when i saw you from across the room, i dropped my drink on the floor, so."
the man takes a sip from his glass, shaking his head slightly. "pick up lines only work when i'm drunk, and i'm not even two drinks in yet."
"i'll cut to the chase then." ian holds out his hand. "i'm ian. and you are...?"
the man looks down for a moment, before pressing their hands together and shaking. "mickey."
"so, mickey." ian leans forward, still gripping mickey's hand, ghosting his mouth close to mickey's ear. "you want to get drunk, or you want to get out of here?"
lip sighs as he watches the guy immediately throw a twenty on the counter and both of them leave out the front door together without a backwards glance. just as he's about to leave as well, he sees out of the corner of his eye someone checking him out from the next table over. a man, specifically, with tan skin and dark brown hair who, if he's being honest, kind of looks like joaquin?
lip contemplates, for just a teensy moment, whether he should go over and talk to the guy. you know, strictly for scientific purposes - only to prove a point to his stupid little brother who ditched him at a bar to bang some random dude.
but then again, he doesn't think tami will appreciate him flirting with a man - or anyone really - just so he can prove ian wrong and shove it in his smug little face. so he leaves quickly without looking back and thinks it's best, perhaps, the other four percent inside of him is better left unexplored.

Gallavich Headcanon (almost a meta): Ian and Mickey befriend a Hispanic old lady with a family-owned flower shop [Pt. 1/3]
So I created these scenarios in my head... if someone wants to write a fic about it, better than I could. But, after receiving that awful treatment from the old lady at the shop in 10x11, I believe Ian and Mickey (especially Mickey) deserve a nice old lady that sells flowers and just... bonds with them y'know?
I don't have it all figured out, but they're at Southside again at this point. I'm part of the club that believes they don't stay in the west side forever. In my head (fuck the felony) Ian is either nurse, EMT again, whatever, something in that area, not working with Mick anymore. Although, Mick's business is thriving so much cause our boy gots the smarts for business.
Basically, it's Mick going in this shop, defenses a little high up. He no longer cares that much if people in the Southside are blatantly homophobic, like, it takes a while now to ruffle his feathers with beautiful wisdom coming down on him. But y'know, something about old ladies in a flower shop, am I right? He's buying flowers for Ian (part of some stupid dynamic or inside joke, don't know, but he's being traditionally husbandly right now) and he's looking for bright candid ones, warm colors, as warm as his ginger husband.
The old lady catches sight of him, and with this very thick Puerto Rican accent trying to dance around a broken English, she just greets him and asks him if he's looking for anything in particular. Mick... loosens up? Not much... but he feels it. She seems warm, safe. Nice. He just mentions "warm toned flowers," something fiery, but delicate. Pretty. He mindlessly points at the color of a table top close to them. Important to know that he uses his left hand, so that ring is oh-so visible.
She goes something along the lines of "Oh! You buy something for your señora? Esto, the wife?" I will forever die on the hill that Mickey does know Spanish, not that the lady knows this, but, y'know, she's Hispanic, some Spanish words go along the way. He looks at his ring and considers if he should say.
"No, uh, husband- actually."
This old lady doesn't light up, but she doesn't react badly... just... carries the conversation as if the sky continues to look blue. "Ohh! Ok, ok, show me picture then! I can make suggestion if I see what he look like, or what he dress like." And she sounds earnest, which, frankly, took him aback. Mickey kind of eyes her questioningly, perhaps she runs with a user persona? Mix match appearance with potential products?
Anyway, he proceeds, shows him a selfie with him, and a mid shot he took without Ian knowing. She eyes the pics for a few seconds and she just excitedly raises her voice, Mick still trying to get adjusted to it all, she tells him she understands why the warm colors and stuff, cause this husband is a ginger. She walks him through the selections and he ends up picking a bouquet, one along the lines of a warm cinnamon spice.
They have a lovely goodbye exchange, Mick still somewhat serious but kind, this old lady oozes warmth. She invites him to come back whenever, maybe even bring the husband along. He nods goodbye. He tells Ian all about it, surprising him first obviously, but he shares this... odd interaction he had today... and how... nice? It felt?? He's still trying to figure it out... Ian thanks him for the flowers, they have a lovely evening together. Life is good he thinks, perhaps.
.
It's Ian's turn now, he just has to meet this old lady. He goes in, and he finds the place, the old lady is behind the counter, so she has sight towards the door. She greets him, and he has the pleasure to hear her accent. And she's just so bubbly, he comes to her, trying to bite down a grin. Ian, not being much about the flower guy, yet (but loves receiving them 🙄) he asks for the stargazer lillies, the lady puts a dramatically sad face and tells him she's out of stock, as soon as the came, they left.
A little disappointed, ofc, but he still goes and asks for other options similar. Ian has his hands on his pockets, but the lady asks "what's the occasion?" And he says, "Husband" and with a stammer "Um, Mickey? You might've- uh... Met him? A week back...? Black hair, blue eyes... Short?" The lady is truly trying to recall, and then she brightens up. Not only cause she remembered Mick, but because she just realized he's the guy in the pic! And oh how she glees.
She walks through the options, he buys a bouquet, gains a lovely interaction, and he finally understands Mick when he says something about this old lady just feels... warm... at ease.
This wouldn't be the last time they visit.
And they actually gather quite the like to her.

things I would love to read: EMT!Ian and ER nurse!Mickey who meet at the hospital when Ian is on a call bringing a patient to the hospital—maybe they get along at first, maybe they don't, but after they run into each other a few times Ian starts looking forward to when they end up at Mickey's hospital (no he's not been obsessively trying to figure out Mickey's shift rotation, why do you ask)
and one day he and his partner have dropped off a patient and it's lunch and they're starving, so they decide to eat at the hospital since they're already there, and Ian sees Mickey at a table outside, and there's nowhere else to sit because the weather is nice and the employees are taking advantage of the sunshine
so Ian is all "mind if I sit here?" and Mickey is like "I ain't stoppin' ya, red" and it's awkward at first but then they somehow manage to break the ice—this may lead to Mickey showing Ian where on the smoke-free hospital campus is a sneaky place for them to light up and share a cigarette 😉
anyway the boys end up bonding and chatting and Ian finds an excuse to get Mickey's number and it'd just be cute as hell <3
@gallavichprompts any takers?

thinking about how Ian and Mandy were each other's best friend but didn't fully let each other in. Ian didn't tell her about Mickey, and then his illness kept him isolated. Mandy didn't tell him about Terry, and about Kenyatta and in my opinion, he knew about Mandy's and lip's dynamic more from watching it and hearing things from lip and deducing stuff then from Mandy telling and sharing her actual feelings.
their bond is like the bond of soldiers: they go through similar horrible things at the same time, but not really together. they are both isolated in their households. Ian is a neglected child, his struggles unseen by his siblings, Mandy is the only female in a household of violent men who hurt her or look away when she's being hurt. both of them turn to using sex as a tool to get affection from people who eventually don't really care about them (lip, Kenyatta, Jimmy's dad, working at the club...). both have a love interest that hurts them repeatedly. both prone to running away without anyone really caring. both have attachment issues.
as a result, Mandy has who to call when she needs to get rid of a body but not when she needs to talk about feelings. they count on each other to do stuff, but not to be there emotionally.
they are two very hurt lonely people who love each other and want to connect but can't go all the way.

it’s so difficult when what you’re looking for in a tv show or movie just isn’t quantifiable. i’m definitely not looking for a copious amount of sex scenes or something particularly steamy. i want to watch something that shows the intimacy and the strength of the bond that can form between two people, which is kind of really difficult to search for. it’s that element that makes marianne and connell so compelling, and what all the best skam seasons embody. i’m literally just going to list the shows and movies which i think fit this feeling, please feel free to add to it.
• normal people (obviously)
• skam and it’s remakes (season 2 of wtfock, and season 5 of druck are some of my favourites)
• isi and ossi (i have not clue why this movie isn’t more popular, it’s such a good romcom)
• veronica mars (not the detective part, but the whole progression of LoVe)
• shameless (but specifically ian and mickey)
•the OA
• Bones (the chemistry between booth and bones could set something on fire)
•young royals
•heartstopper
•heartbreak high
•mixte 1963
•bridgerton (but only s2 and queen charlotte, s1 gives me the ick)
•buffy the vampire slayer (whatever spike and buffy have going on is very compelling)

do u think mickey and mandy were closer when they were kids?
yes, but i think that being milkoviches “close” has a different definition.
i feel like the mickey and mandy we see in the first 4 seasons are already pretty close. again, they show affection in a way different to most, so it’s hard to really explain their bond. i feel like the fact that mickey willingly hugged her tight for a few seconds in front of ian and multiple other guys in 2x02 proves they’re close and love each other (not to mention how he is towards ian in the first season before mandy calls her brothers off, he cares so much about his sister).
that being said, as kids they definitely had a much closer bond. they were closer to each other than any of the other milkovich siblings (or cousins who may as well be siblings). i think we’re led to believe that colin and iggy are a bit older, like i’ve always thought colin was maybe 5 years older than mickey and iggy was 4 years older? maybe a little more or a little less? but because of this, mickey and mandy were the closest because they were so close in age. his older brothers would pick on him, so he would resort to mandy, who may tease him but wouldn’t be like colin and iggy.
@holymurdock has this fic about mandy’s relationship with aunt rande (who we meet in season’s 2&3) and the fic is honestly my favorite thing ever… but there’s a part where mickey and mandy are together over at aunt rande’s house, and i feel like it was an accurate representation of what they would be like as kids. they’re both the youngest and victims, and they have an understanding of that. mickey was (is) definitely protective of his little sister, because if he can’t protect her against terry he can at least protect her against others, and i think mandy would admire that in him because even if he is still mickey, out of all men she’s met (up until ian) he shows the most kindness to her.
^ i mean, we know that at his core mickey is soft, but he’s had to hide that away for so many years. the thing about their closeness is that mandy would’ve been able to see through that façade. like, i know mandy didn’t actually figure out mickey was gay until ian’s drunken confession in 3x11, but just because she couldn’t tell he was gay doesn’t mean she didn’t know he was hiding. i’m sure that colin and iggy are hiding in their own ways, too, but mandy was too little to ever see how they truly acted, and i don’t know if i really think either of them have as much depth as mickey and mandy do. mandy has always known mickey, she knew him when he was small and more… human, she knows that he isn’t necessarily the trash-talking, king of the southside, fuck-u-up, tough guy he always acts like he is. she knew him before all of that, but maybe as that started to develop, they faded apart a bit.
if anyone else has any thoughts on these two i’d love to hear them because they’re one of my favorite sibling duos in shameless<3

Ian and Mickey, Frank and Monica.
There are so many similarity between Ian&Mickey and Frank&Monica.
Beyond Ian and Monica sharing their mental illness, they are both very high energy people. They seem innocent and juvenile at times. They both learnt to use their body and sexuality to get what they want. (there's a sad moment when Ian rans away with Monica and he realizes she is going to sleep with a man to get them money and he realizes he does that too.)
They both have the will to take care of kids, they want a family. They crave having a tight family bond with their partner (The Bob and Liam storyline and the dream about life with Yevgeny). It's interesting that when they're hypomanic the both clean and cook and try to take care of the people around them.
Mickey and Frank are both scammers, and good ones. They think of long cons, they are resourceful, if they want something the get it done. They are both very likeable despite their abrasiveness, they both grew up with a very abusive (and somewhat sadistic) parent as their main parental figure. (Terry and Peggy) and they still do their bidding, even after getting away from them.
Like Debbie said- both Frank and Mickey angry drink when they fight with their partner, "It never worked, he always came back to her". Frank calls Monica 'a tick under his skin' and we all know Mickey's line "you're under my skin, man. The fuck can I do?"
Both couples ran scams to get money from married husbands that wanted to sleep with Ian / Monica. ("remember when we were kids , I used to lore guys into the hotel, and lock the bathroom door so we could run off with their wallets and drugs?")
Both met as teenagers and always came back to one another.
Even when they try to move on and be with other people. The whole thing with Monica being in a relationship with Bob and Franks confidence that he and Monica would get back together, is a pathetic version but still similar to 7x10 "I have a boyfriend, Mickey" and Mickey confident "So what you're doing here then, huh?". Not the same energy, but both couples are like magnets, they know they can't stay away from each other for too long. "That's the kind of passion you can't fake."
They fight a lot and they love a lot.
The biggest difference is how selfish Frank and Monica are, and how much Ian and Mickey are willing to do for each other. Sure, not doing crystal meth probably helped, but I think Ian and Mickey were better for each other from the start.
What do you think helped Ian and Mickey not tp end up like Frank and Monica?
