Michaël R. Roskam to reunite with Matthias Schoenaerts for LE FAUX SOIR
Belgian filmmaker Michaël R. Roskam is reuniting with the team behind Bullhead and Racer And The Jailbird for wartime feature Le Faux Soir, set to star regular collaborator Matthias Schoenaerts.
Set in 1943, it tells the story of when the Belgian resistance secretly produced a spoof version of the country’s leading newspaper, Le Soir, which had become a propaganda tool of the occupying Nazi forces.

#JustWatched The Drop (Michaël R. Roskam, 2014)
I loved how intimate this film felt. I think that has a lot to do with the bigger, criminal aspect of the film playing second to the more character focused aspects. But then everything ties together. Everything means something and nothing is wasted. Tom Hardy does something similar in his performance. He's holding back and then he comes at you hard. Naomi Rapace was great. She's one of those unique actors that I don't always recognise because she really is the roles she plays. Like wearing a different mask. And James Gandolfini. The guy has such incredible presence, whatever he's in and still he had so much more to give. Couldn't help but watch him in this with a heavy heart.

فیلم Bullhead کله شق اولین اثر سینمایی میشاییل راسکام در مقام نویسنده و کارگردان به حدی خوش ساخت است که بی شک او را در زمره ی کسانی که آینده ی درخشانی در این حرفه دارند قرار می دهد. فیلم Bullhead نامزد اسکار ۲۰۱۲ بهترین فیلم خارجی زبان در رقابت با فیلم جدایی نادر از سیمین اصغر فرهادی بود و سرانجام از گرفتن این جایزه باز ماند اما این بازماندن به هیچ وجه از شایستگی اش کم نکرد.
