I worked at a place that had ballroom venues for events. Annually, Chipendale dancers had a show at this place. The amount of calls we dealt with for groping, cat-calling, lewd behavior, and general harassment toward the performers and staff was outrageous. This was at a native owned casino in the Midwest where they also had an annual powwow event at which members of rival native gangs would murder each other. Chipendale night was worse than Indian murder weekend. Anyway, they also hosted boxing events and one guy commented once on how sexy he thought the ring girl was. He was evicted for a year. The ladies who molested security staff? No evictions.

As a man, even in the most progressive countries, you are seen as the secondary parent to your child.
-
We aren't allowed to make fun of fat people, but it's more than acceptable to rip on guys due to their height.
-
I had a psycho ex that was trying to kick in my door, I called the cops. She left before they got there. She wrote all over my car in lipstick. The cops laughed at me and were like - you afraid of a girl? And told me they couldn't do anything about the lipstick because they didn't see her do it. I would have been in jail for the same shit.
-
I have mentioned this before.. but I have a weird work schedule that gives me several weekdays off. I would take my girls to the parks nearby, and got constant side-eyes and resentment from the haus-fraus and molly-mormon sanity groups there with their kids. I even had the cops called on me twice asking me to prove I had my own kids there.
-
wanting men that are tall is a matter of preference and can be voiced out loud and is somehow acceptable even though they have no control over it but men on the other hand can't voice their preference in any regard else they'd be cancelled for body shaming.
-
I'm older: I have only cried at a movie one time. It was the end of Braveheart. My date was turned off. Said it was "not cool". Same girl hit me for not crying when Jack went down at the end of Titanic, said it was "not cool". I decided she was not cool.
-
I’ve had multiple women make comments on my weight gain
-
The Duluth Model. It states that men are abusive in order to control and women are abusive because they are victims of abuse. Most law enforcement agencies use this model in dealing with DV cases. The creators disavowed their own work and admit it is completely biased and flawed but is still in use in the majority of the country
-
I was a tray aid (food server) at an elderly home, and I went thru a fitness phase where I lost a ton of weight and gained a lot of muscle. Nearly all of the CNA’s (young and old) would come up and grope me (rub my arms, nipples, back, etc) and talk super flirty about how good i looked. It took a few weeks for the older CNA’s to finally snap out of it and start telling the younger ones that it wasn’t right
-
If I open up and share the things weighing on my mind somehow that makes me weak and a crybaby but if I hold it all in and just “suck it up” I’m contributing to toxic masculinity and I’m an asshole.
-
When my ex-wife (of a 16 year marriage) had a year long affair before I caught her and we split up. She wanted to not tell anyone that she'd had an affair, and wanted to have an even split on custody and divorce etc. I asked her, "if I'd been cheating on you, would you have agreed to keep it a secret and still let me have 50-50 custody of our kids?" Her answer? "of course not." But like, the way she said it was like, "obviously, cuz you're a man, it's fine to tell everyone about the affair, and for the mom to get the kids." Even, when people did find out there was an affair, 90% of them thought it was me that had cheated. I never cheated on anyone. But cuz I was a guy, then obviously it was me.
-
I don't think any of my girlfriends have ever bought me flowers. I like flowers.
-
Women don’t ask for consent. I have a female acquaintance who described something they did to a man that would otherwise be considered sexual assault — but she was joking about how awkward the guy was.
-
Worked at a hotel in Edinburgh and had to wear a kilt. Cleaning staff LOVED lifting my kilt. I've rarely been out in a kilt but whenever I have been (not weddings) random women will lift it to see. I wouldn't dare lift a woman's skirt. I'm not even that attractive and assume it's much more likely to handsom guys.
-
My daughter is now 11, but when she was younger, a lot of women were surprised at how involved I was in my daughter's education, medical appts, and her life in general. There is still the double standard where it's assumed the mother is the one who knows all the details of their kids' lives. My wife had a very busy career and so we tried to evenly split all the parenting responsibilities as much as possible. It was amazing at how many places like playgrounds or fun kid stuff where it would be just my daughter and I, and it was assumed I was a single dad or more often that it was my custody time. Fortunately, my daughter looks very like me because I would sometimes get double takes from mom's to make sure I was not stealing some random kid or a pedophile.
-
Women taking advantage of a male teenager rarely get the same disgust compared to a male taking advantage of a female teenager. It's always an abuse of power and wrong no matter who does it. The double standards for this by teachers are the worst.
-
If sex with her is not that great that is my fault. If she does not enjoy sex with me that is also my fault.
-
After I and my wife separated, she took my kid and told the police, CPS, random doctors, etc that I SA'd my kid. When talking to my lawyer, CPS, police, or whoever, the first thing they would ask is if I'm paying child support and am I up to date with it. Only after I assured them that I was would they continue helping me. Now I've gained custody, she has never even bought a pencil for school but still accusing me of BS. Anytime I bring up child support with anyone it's always "we'll get to that later". Why is she allowed to be a deadbeat mom without consequences while I would possibly be in prison if I were a deadbeat dad?
-
A friend of mine is a male military spouse, no kids. You would think that the military spouse community would be so welcoming as everyone has that in common. Absolutely not, in fact he gets denied access to online support groups because he is a guy. He has 0 support. Many military spouse appreciation events don't think or care about male spouses. He just stopped trying to integrate with the other spouses, or go to events. It is really sad.
-
Women almost always refuse to acknowlege that men have any problems at all. And when they do acknowlege them, it's like "they're caused by patriarchy, so help us fight patriarchy", and it's like, "no bitch, how about you stop being an ass and have some sympathy for once in your fucking life". So many of men's problems just, don't exist or aren't worth thinking about for women. But when men behave the same way about women's problems, they're sexist.
-
In rural Africa, FGM is still a modern day practise that sees the labia and sometimes clitoris removed before the child can even stand up or give consent. This painful procedure leads to death in a small amount of cases. This is obviously disgusting. In the Western world, circumcision is still a modern day practise that sees the foreskin cut away or sometimes bitten off by an adult before the child can even stand up or give consent. This painful procedure leads to death in a small amount of cases. This is widely accepted and sometimes seen as a hate crime to oppose. How is this OK?

==
One double standard that keeps coming up again and again: women's problems are caused by external societal factors ("tHe pAtRiArChY!") that society has to fix, while men's problems are caused by their own flawed internal factors that they have to fix.
She was cutting? It's because society doesn't respect or understand her and doesn't treat her right. Women are already perfect. Society has to recognize that and do better. Teach men that women are hurting.
He killed himself? He must have been fragile and too toxically macho to talk about his feelings. Men should recognize that and do better. Teach boys to cry.

I Support Danny Elfman.
I truely have 0 respect for his accuser, Nomi Abadi, you may have garnered the empathy of a few naïve souls, but I will never respect or believe you. Ever. You’re an extortionist and all I can hope ios that when you inevitably lose this battle, you come to regret fighting back against a man who has given more than you ever will. You’re an extremely petty woman and I’ll never stand with you. Danny Elfman. If this ever reaches you, I’m on your side and i will continue to support your work.

The nerve of that bitch smirking and laughing her way through Johnny’s testimony - Him being forced to re-live (again) the abuse he suffered from her, both physically and mentally.... Tell me again how she’s the victim and is terrified of him....
It’s insane Johnny is still fighting to prove his innocence. If he was heard on audio saying “I didn’t punch you, I didn’t deck you, I f***ing was hitting you. You’re such a baby, grow up”  “I can’t promise I won’t get physical again” he’d be in jail by now.
This needs to stop. Abuse has no Gender.

"A 1997 study of college males studying psychology found that
10 percent believed that it was acceptable to hit a female partner for refusing sex, and 20 percent believed that it was acceptable to do so if the man suspected her of cheating. Studies have found similar statistics regarding young men's belief that they have the right to force a female to have sex if they have spent a substantial amount of money on the evening's entertainment or if the woman started wanting sex but then changed her mind. These studies point to the importance of focusing on changing the entitled attitudes of abusers, rather than attempting to find something wrong in their individual psychology."
Day 9 of sharing excerpts from Why Does he DO That? by Lundy Bancroft Personal note: This reminds me of a more recent study I read which had even worse results. I may not be able to find it tonight as I filed it away on my laptop a year ago, but I think I remember the gist of it: A study was conducted with the subjects of college age males on dates with AI women. The males were instructed to treat the women "as if they were on a real date with them", and they were told that they would be recorded during evaluation. A sizable amount of the men proceeded to either force the AI or threaten her when she refused sex, and many of the ones who did not threaten her with violence attempted to coerce her into sex. If the coercion attempt failed, many of the previously "non-violent" males proceeded to try threatening. I will go look for the study and post it here if I find it. edit: Okay I found it! After going over this study for a second time I realize that I should give it it's very own post... Now for some reason tumblr will not let me post the hyperlink? maybe it's because its a pdf. Idk. idk shit about computers. Here, this should take you there file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/Woerner%20et%20al%202018.pdf

Oh, this was SUCH A GREAT IDEA! Perceptions have changed in the public when it comes to abuse of men. They now recognize it when they see it. I thank you, Johnny Depp. You really changed the world. Happy New Years, Bro.

Where the '#MeToo movement is concerned, in terms of public consciousness and celebrity, it's fronted by women, and yet 'me' is a genderless word. Men shouldn't have to have made their own hashtag in order to be noticed. After this, shouldn't we work to make #MeToo a more inclusive movement?

JOHNNY DEPP WON THE TRIAL AGAINST AMBER TURD!!! It was proven she defamed him and that the accusations of abuse were false. ...and yet the controversy continues.
That's it, imagine the gender roles were reversed.
Amber was the one who's gotten her finger cut off, constantly tried to get away from her abuser, had numerous bruises on pictures and a truckload of witnesses confirmed what a gentle and polite person she was.
Johnny was the one who was taped saying "I didn't punch you, I HIT you!" & "Go tell the world you're a victim of domestic abuse and see who believes you!", constantly stalked her everywhere, wouldn't stop yelling and fighting, caught in several lies and contradictions.
The case would have been clear right from the start.
But because our society can't accept an older man being the victim of a younger woman, this whole shitshow started. Believing Amber Turd without any proof, demonizing Johnny. Because it can't be possible that a woman abuses a man. Even during the trial and EVEN NOW people and the media can't admit Johnny has won and is innocent.
No, they continue saying "both kinda lost" or "both are toxic" which is the equivalent to saying "Well, she abused him but he kinda deserved it." It really annoys me when people haven't watched the trial and still have strong opinions like that, because gheez, if you have no idea what has been revealed in the last 6 weeks then STFU! Sending dark text messages and venting like Johnny did is NOT abuse. He didn't say it to her, he messaged it to friends. We all have written and said things that were mean and which we regret, that doesn't mean we're all abusers. And did you read Amber's whiny post on Twitter? Complaining about her first Amendment right of free speech? Sorry Turdy, free speech isn't about spreading lies out of malice to destroy someone's life and career. Btw, real feminism wants equal rights for women AND men. The backstep for #metoo isn't Johnny's fault, if you have to be mad at someone, be mad at Amber.

OMG JEN!!
I just binged You and Me, as well as Fight For Me, and girl! You handled one of the hardest, RAREST, topics I've ever ready about amazingly! You really knocked it out of the bloody park! Fabulous! I've never really read this topic handled before by a fanfic writer! There's such a stigma around male assault! It's heartbreaking!
Now, I know your request are closed. But I used to work as a prison guard, and unfortunately, I've seen it all more than I'd care to talk about. But when I first started in my first year, one of the local sheriffs had it happen to him. Two of the men on the cell block above me got out of prison, and exacted their revenge on the poor man that got them convinced of... well... you guessed it.
I was wondering, could you write a male!r*pe fic for Beau?! Not the same story that I just told you obviously! But it happens so many times to MEN in law-enforcement, and it's overlooked because it 'only happens to prisoners', which is a load of shit. It happens to men that work outside of the prison bars too.
First, let me start out by saying that I'm so sorry that it's taken damn near a week for me to get back to you about this ask. I had to mull over my response, cause honestly, every time I write one of these and say I'm done, you guys ask for another one, and I'm tempted into self-torchier all over again.
Second, thank you SOOO much for supporting these two very difficult series! I understand they are a hard thing to read about, and they are not for everyone, so I really do appreciate your support!
You're right, this topic does have a hell of a stigma around it, and it shouldn't be so! It's not fair to the men that suffer from the repercussions of such acts! It's no secret that it's something that I feel very strongly about.
That being said, I do have Carry On to finish, as well as picking back up Something About Fate again once I'm done with Carry On. So my plate is a little full, and I don't even know if it's something the general audience wants to suffer through with me for a third time. Though I will admit, the story is in itself intriguing.
So that being said, I'm gonna through this out there to my readers. Is this something you want? If so, please understand it will take me some time to write this one.

Watch this from the first second to the last. This is nothing less than brilliant. We are living a f*cked up, grossly double standered world. This is how journalism should look like. Love this youtuber so much!

the fact that # MenToo is trending on Twitter makes me sick. have none of you realized that MeToo was also for male victims? it was literally for ALL victims, but all of those people only care to use this as a "gotcha!" moment and nothing else. none of them actually care about the well being and protection of those who have suffered, they just want to mock people.

A Spisak Follow Up.
OK. So, it appears that a couple of users from my twitter page have decided, in their infinite ‘’wisdom’’, to stalk me here and tell me why my support for the ‘’evil groomer’’ Jason Spisak is wrong. How ‘’evil’’ his behaviour is and how ‘’right’’ and ‘’Just’’ their actions to keep him out opf both cons and industry are. How good it is that they destroy his body of work, his legacy, his career. Well, I blocked them and while they’ll never see this post,. I want to leave this here for prosperity. I’ll be brief, but firm: I have seen the arguments against my stance, the list of “atrocities” supposedly committed by Jason and despite the screencaps, the anger, the fear that they supposedly hold ‘’for others’’, I find myself totally unmoved and unrepentant. Everything they posted was merely nonsense about perfectly normal actions taken out of context for the sake of justifying their own overblown ‘’horror’’ of them. Well, here’s my response. “I Still stand with Jason Spisak and further more, I stand by everything I’ve said and done for both him and others like him. Ever.

💜JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED 💜
I'm ecstatic.
After years of horrible abuse and mistreatment, Johnny finally gets his life back.
The public opinion is on his side again and that's a fact.
The court process must've been so hard for him. Speaking publicly about his trauma, his darkest moments. Seeing his abuser on the daily basis. But he knew it was important, and not only for him, but for all male victims of domestic abuse... so they can see they are not alone, and that there is no shame in speaking up.
This is a turning point.
Violence has no gender.
Congratulations, Johnny! You deserve this 💜Love you forever.
